  5. congratulations guys!
  6. I'm in
  7. 1. I'm beyond excited I couldn't of asked for a better scenario for myself by being drafted by a expansion team. During my rookie season, it's not only me out there that's going to be a fresh face, everyone here is new. So, it's kinda a fresh start for everyone we're all starting off at the same point. 2, Well the best way for me to improve out there is by consistently giving my all on the ice and showing up at practice and to go ham at the gym and gain some strength and mass. 3. Well I never got the oppurtunity to get paired with Wolf Stansson Jr. during our time in the Yukon, so I'm looking forward on seeing how our games would mesh together. 4. I fucking love it 5. Well my personal goal this year is to be better than DC. We gotta establish ourselves early on as the better expansion team out there. 6. I think we could use some depth everywhere really. But specially we gotta get ourselves a backup.
  8. 1) Will you be wanting to get drafted by Yukon in S68,or is there any other team you want to be drafted to? Well I won't be here now that I got drafted by an Expansion team. I had a lot of fun while it lasted and truly wish I could've won here in the Yukon. 2) How many goals and assists did you have in season 67? I got 14 goals, 12 of them PPG and 32 assists in 72 games 3) What VHL team do you want to be drafted to? or where have you already been drafted to inS67? I just got drafted today by the Prague Phantoms, 4) Do you play in any other hockey simulation league? Nope not at all 5) Name the 3 Most Original Named Players in the VHLM or VHL? Tony Bolonee, Girth God, A Red Guy 6) Is there a certain GM in the league you want to play for this next season? Josh but sadly I wont be. Good luck out there Josh.
  9. Perrin Excited to be Joining Phantoms "Here we are fresh off the draft floor with newly drafted VHL prospect Seabass Perrin. Seabass how does it feel to be part of the Phantoms after they've selected you 17th overall in the 2nd round of the draft." "Well first off i'm surprised to go this early in the draft but I'm also very excited to be a part of this team in what's going to be their inaugural VHL season. There's also so many familiar guys that I've played with in the Yukon that are also now members of the Phantoms like Willy Dredge, Erik Draven and Wolf Stansson Jr. so I feel like some things have changed, but some have not. Ha ha. Anyways everything is just surreal right now and i'm just stoked to jump on the ice in one of them fancy new jerseys. I want to thank my parents for making all of this possible, my grandpa Seb and my girlfriend for supporting me chasing my hockey dreams. " "Thanks Seabass and good luck."
  10. Perrin Draft Day Interview Hello and good sunday morning I'm Pierre McGuire here for NBC and today is the big day that's been circled on many young VHLM players calendars for months. Today, is VHL Entry Draft Day and the excitement level this year is a lot higher than usual. It's a lot more exciting this year as we got 2 new expansion teams, the Prague Phantoms and the D.C Dragons looking to make splashes at the draft in order to build themselves solid teams going forward. Today we're here covering the entry draft and we're here for a one on one interview with Seabass Perrin who is eligible to be selected in this year's draft. Perrin, thank you for taking the time to talk to us here today. No problem Pierre. I'm happy to be here. Now that I have you here I want to find out a little bit about yourself. I understand your born and raised in none other than Calgary, Aberta. That being said, do you secretly hope the Wranglers take you here today since I assume you grew up a Wranglers fan? Well you assumed right as I did indeed grow up a Wranglers fan however I'm not here to restrict myself to just one team here. The VHL has now 12 franchises and honestly i'll gladly play on any team that has faith in my abilities on the ice and are willing to take a chance on me by selecting me in the VHL draft here today. Alright well, do you have any predictions on where you think your going to be selected here in this year's draft? No not really. I'm not going to go out and just say a number here. I just care that I'm selected at all, not when I end up being selected. I know I had a decent year as a member of the strong Yukon Rush defense corps. We did great this year as we let the fewest goals allowed in the VHLM and i'm proud that our team was able to accomplish that feat. However I still need to further refine my game here, i'm still getting better and I'm just looking forward to growing as a player with my new team mates where ever that may be. Well are you at least looking forward to getting away from the arctic after being there for a year? Honestly I enjoyed my time as a member of the Rush and I enjoyed my time in the Yukon itself as well. I've always been an avid fisherman and I definitely took advantage of the ample fishing opportunities there. I recommend any future players to just give the Yukon a chance, you might just fall in love with it. Not to mention the management crew over there really help you feel at home. So I want to move on here to your on ice abilities, what kind of player to see yourself being in the VHL? Well I always envisioned myself as more of a defensive defenseman and I always have been throughout junior hockey. I enjoy playing a more physical brand of hockey but in the end a defenseman's job is to be able to defend and that's my main focus. This year I really improved my game in the offensive zone and gained a lot of confidence handling the puck thanks to the wonderful Rush coaching staff. However, I think my 12 powerplay goals this season was somewhat of a surprise and I don't expect to be able to reproduce that in the big leagues, so I dont want my stats here to give GMs the wrong impression here, I don't consider myself a powerplay specialist. Well your honesty is appreciated Seabass but that all does it for our time here as I have many other prospects to cover today, but I appreciate the insight you've given to me today and I wish you good luck on your future endeavors. Thanks Pierre, have fun out there. WORD COUNTER: 665
  11. I get no love lol great article though honestly.
  12. im in for either one
  13. congratulations to the wolves! well done boys
  14. 1) Did you believe Yukon would make it at least past the 1st round in these current playoffs? Of course I did, I had full faith that we'd beat Halifax in the first round. I'm still pretty torn up about how that series ended up going down. 2) Who would be your pick for Top scorer on this years Yukon team? Well Plunkett was technically our top scorer but give Frans Eller some props for stepping up and becoming that #1 center that we desperately needed. He didn't do too bad at all for a first year center. 3) Who would you consider the Top defenseman on the current Yukon team? Flowers was our leader on the blue line. He logged the most minutes and I blame him and A red guy for how very few goals allowed we've had over the season. 4) Are you happy with having played with the Rush this year? & why? Playing with these guys have been a blast. It's a shame it's all comming to end so soon though. We had so much unreached potential, we all just gelled and played well together. Just frustrating we couldn't put it all together when it counts the most. 5) Who was your favorite Personality on the team this year? I think Erik Draven was our most vocal personality in the room and stepped up and took on more of a leadership role for this team. 6) If given the chance what two players would you play with again? I'd play with any of these guys again they're all great guys. But, due to on ice chemistry I"ll have to select Draven and Willie Dredge.
  15. Seabass Perrin Defenseman Points: 46/7=6.6 Hits: 138/30= 4.6 Total:6.6+4.6+3= 14.2 Did i do that right?
  16. Too bad I wasnt active at the time to witness this performance first hand...
  17. I definitely be down for this if it was revived.
  18. Perrin appeared on a Whitehorse radio station and gave his thoughts on his team's heartbreaking loss in the first round of the VHLM playoffs at the hands of the Halifax 21st, 4 games to 1. " Well obviously i'm dissapointed, I think we all believed that we had a good enough team to be able to advance further into the playoffs. We had good team morale going in at the end of the season and it seemed like we we're rolling. But, then somehow everything just didn't go our way and we went off the rails. The games we're mostly all tight and were decided by one goal. I feel that we just weren't getting very much puck luck out there at all and that left most of our group just simply frustrated. " Perrin also spoke about the future of the team moving forward. "Well I had a lot of fun with this group and it's sad to see this group breakup as many members of the team will get drafted by vhl teams and move forward with those teams. Some of us will have to go back to the dispersal draft even. So we're not going to be left with much. I however have full confidence the GM Josh will find himself a way to build himself another solid team for next season either through the draft or through trade. "
  19. How do you predict the series going against Halifax? I predict that it's going to be a tight series with a lot of physical play. But, I feel as if we're comming into this series with the edge here and I feel confident going in. What players from each team do you think will have the biggest rivalry in the series? It's all about them goalies I think this year and I expect that to be the biggest rivalry going in. A Red Guy vs Gunnarsson, who has the better performance? Well obviously I'll have to side with my homeboy on this one. We've had the lowest goals allowed in the league all season long almost and those results start with him between the pipes. Prediction for the winners of first round and why? I predict that Ottawa, Philladelphia the Yukon and the Bulls win their respective series. Who is your prediction for MVP of the playoffs? Flowers, I find his game is more geared for the playoffs anyways and I think he'll really shine once we get this one going. Any takeaways from the season before we hit the playoffs? No not really I think we just all feel good and confident coming into this series and we all just can't wait to get this one over with so we go move on deeper into the playoffs.

  22. Perrin was recently seen in Quebec City over the weekend at a fundraiser diner/meet-and-greet for autism research. Perrin was one of a few VHL players or prospects to attend the event. Perrin, who has a autistic younger brother claims that this is a cause that he takes to heart and to expect to see his participation in the annual fundraiser every year it's held. Perrin was set to only attend to meet with fans and sign autographs with the proceeds going to Autism Research Canada but he ended up speaking a few words at the diner. " Autism is a issue that becomes ever more common with every passing generation. In the past it was considered rare to have autism today, 1 in 66 children in Canada are diagnosed with autism and if we don't trace the root causes of this disorder it's only going to get worse. It's time to act. " Perrin also took some time to poke at some of the recent cuts the Ford government in Ontario have made in the health sector, including cuts autism support services in the province. Perrin also spoke on the local radio station with hockey analyst Michel Bergeron over the weekend where he urged the VHL to consider awarding a expansion franchise to the city of Quebec. "From my understanding Quebec had a team before, I dont know why the team ended up leaving but it's time for this hockey mad city to have another team. The people are ready to support a team, there's demand for it and with there not being a NHL team here I think it's a great opportunity for the VHL to swoop in here to try and steal some of that market in the province of Quebec. "
