  1. Q: If you were Commish, what is the one thing that you would change? Why? I don't care what @Gaikoku-hito says he deserves extra pay for his work as AGM. Give AGM's fair pay! Q: Trade deadline is here so what moves if any should Vancouver make? None. We'll ride out the season as we entered it. I have daith in this group for this season and future ones Q: Are you expecting a lot of trades or just minor trades at the trade deadline? Lots of chatter and not a ton of cap space. But I predict two or three trades. We'll see. Q: Team has really turned things around after 11-11; if I remember correctly start and we are now 23-12-1 (12-1-1) in the last 14 games. What changed and why are we winning now? Simon realized we have a good roster and decided to stop being a twit. Also the first 20 fames are usually a lie. Q: Congrats to Nico Pearce @Spartan now the all-time TPE player. Do you remember the highest TPE player you created; who was it and how much TPE or is this your first player and where do you think you will finish in TPE? Moreau had the highest tpe of any player I've made and I've been here since Season 19... A lot of early retirements to re create early likely stopped me from earning more. Hind sight says that was a mistake. Q: With half of the season soon to be behind us, can either Nico Pearce @Spartan or Oreo McFleury @JB123 catch that horrible hockey player John Jameson @Frank for goals? Yes fuck that guy I hope they both pass him.
  2. @Beketov controls the fate of Vancouver to Quebec. Leave me alone.
  3. With a quick google search Socialism is defined as "a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole." Without educating myself more on the term socialism I'm going to dive deep into this media spot with the changes I would make that would allow for more community involvement in decision making. As it stands someone makes a suggestion and it usually dies in the BOG or is forgotten about entirely. Currently the only league wide vote that occurs seasonally is the Brett Slobodzian trophy voting which is imperfect in itself but at least the community as a whole has a voice. League Wide Award Voting This system would be greatly improved by a larger data pool and transparency in the voting process. Step one involve everyone from the regular welfare earner to the blue team. Get the BOG to come up with a list of however many nominees for each award and put it into a google forms and allow the whole community to select their winners (allowing write in options). The community poll will be one of 3 tiers of voting, yes we've gone from socialism to tieranny. Tier 1 will be the community vote, tier 2 will be the BOG vote and tier 3 will be a vote among GM/AGMs/Blue Team. Then the winners will be based off who won the most tiers of each vote (allowing for 3 should kill any tie breakers) but tie breakers if necessary would be held as a 4th vote in the BOG. Someone would have to run the league wide vote but that seems like a relatively easy hire @Spartan does everything already so he can do it. Job Pay for AGM's This one would be a long time coming. AGM's are an integral part of the VHL/M/E and they put in a lot of time and effort interacting with players on discord and helping the GM. I think the league would be wise to allow at very least 1 tpe a week job pay to be an AGM. @Gaikoku-hito has been a god send as AGM of Vancouver and the effort he's put into his press conferences and interaction with the team deserves much more then 1 tpe a week but baby steps I guess. Most of us have busy lives outside the VHL and having an AGM motivated with pay each week would go along way in assisting the GM's who want to keep their team engaged. Expanding the BOG One of my biggest issues with the BOG is it's almost a retirement for users who were once very active but now have less invested in the league. This is speaking from experience. Quite often members end up going inactive once they join the BOG. I know there have been additions over the past handful of seasons. But I think including the GM's of all 3 leagues in BOG discussions would help current players voices be heard more as well as make things more transparent. It would allow for better means of communication between the BOG and current GM's. That way if there's a clear issue that a lot of players are having it can easily be discussed among decision makers. Instead I have to look up the BOG member in the phone book and his phone's disconnected. The expansion wouldn't have to stop at GM's but it seems like the most logical first step. If you've made it this far thank you for taking the time to read this poorly written and constructed article. Here's another gif to make it all worth it. words 619 ish
  4. Q: 11-11 is the current Vancouver Wolves record. Are you happy with the way the team is playing at the moment? My god 11-11 a week ago and now 21-12-1 . Can't wait to see where we are next week. Q: What has been the biggest surprise through the first quarter of the season? D.C. somehow staying in the playoff race with Bubbles amd Torq carrying the team. Q: What has been the biggest disappointment through the first quarter of the season? Our record. Simon was really disrespecting our roster at the quarter mark. But were close to half way now and were trending in the right direction. Q: What improvement do you think the Vancouver Wolve require (if any) at this stage of the season? We just need to keep improving from within and finding the right strategies. Q: What do you think is Vancouver Wolves current strength? Goal scoring in bunches. Though we've been more consistent lately. Q: What do you think is Vancouver Wolves current weakness? 5 on 5 defense. But that happens when you have a bot playing half the game.
  5. Q: First game of the season was interesting since we gave up five unanswered goals to London in the first period; What do you think we learned from this situation about the Vancouver Wolves team? That we're resilient and no lead is safe from us! Disappointed we couldn't complete the come back. Q: With five players above a point per game and three other players just a point or two behind a point per game pace at the moment; do you think the team can continue to be an offensive threat throughout the season and who do you think will lead the team by the end of the season in points? So far we've been a streaky offensive and defensive team hopefully we can find spme consistency. Q: Vancouver after today sims sit at 4-3 in the first seven games and fifth place in North American conference. Are you concerned about the team start or is it too early to be concerned? We're 11-9 now but I think there is reason to be optimistic. Q: Dam those Bears!! Dropped two games today against the Bears and they seem to always be in the wolves way. So, how do we beat the bears? Let's save our wins for the post season. Q: If anyone should be Mayor of Vancouver that person would be ________________? I recently saw an article about Maple vying to become mayor. So there's really only one possibility, Dogwood Maple! Q: Riddle: The more you take, the more you leave behind. What are they? I scrolled up and saw pictures. So that's going to be my answer as well?
