Talk about alienating new members you guys. What Gorlab did is hardly as bad as the above two items. Really poor form and very hypocritical.

I see inflammatory posts from other older members about other stuff all the time, so I will say I find it amusing that only gorlab seems to be getting shit for it (probably because he's not an older member). Could he be more polite about his point? Sure. But we're adults, and we can just take the points of what he's saying from him instead of being stuck on him being "inflammatory" and "fear mongering". His points are absolutely correct- there really isn't a lot of transparency in this league. This is the first sim league I've been a part of and I can honestly say that if it wasn't for Jaladolar and other members explaining everything and holding my hand the whole way, I would likely have quit early on. There's a lot of stuff that could be made WAY more clear to new members that isn't.

All the bitching I've done? This is legitimately the only thing I've ever bitched about because it is beyond stupid and a major cause of pain in my VHL experience.

It's not like I'm trying to generate discussion on an issue which NEW MEMBERS (the thing you guys REQUIRE for your league to continue and prosper) may find to be bothersome or anti-fun.

DO NOT BE ACTIVE EVERY WEEK IN THE VHL. IF YOU DO A POINT-TASK EVERY WEEK, YOU WILL BE FORCED TO THROW AWAY 20-50 TPE AT THE END OF YOUR FIRST SEASON, IF YOU WANT TO PLAY A SECOND VHLM SEASON (WHICH EVERYONE DOES).
 
This league is setup in such a moronic fashion, that if you are active in your 1st season and do a point-task every week, then your end-of-season TPE rewards like Awards Predictions, VHLM Achievement Tracker, and VHL Team Training Camp will force you out of the VHLM.
 
Why? Nobody has any good answer. It's just HOW IT IS. Don't like it? Think it's moronic? Too bad.
 
 
I wished someone had made this clear to me during my 1st season, then I would have not done point tasks for 3-4 weeks, and been in the exact same situation I am right now, having done a point-task every week.

Why is this "you can't claim your TPEs after a certain date" rule even a thing. I just lost like 20 TPE for nothing.

Through 6 games I have scored 2 goals on 2 shots while playing 135 minutes.. shoot the puck Nik!

Because the VHL totes had a Thunderdome and a welcome committee and was new-member-friendly in its eighth season.

The forum doesn't allow us to send an automatic welcome message. The NCAA system really isn't that confusing if you read the rulebook. Its actually pretty simple.
 
The SBA allows people to have fun with their names but there is a difference between creative names and names that offend multiple members. Honestly, if not allowing the name God takes away your fun from the league then so be it but it seems like a very stupid reason.

Who vents to have fun? I think Shane is working hard to have things for members to have fun with. If members would rather bash him for not allowing a name like God and not have fun, that's on them.
