Answers 1. I’m a goalie but Ricky has 1 assist so far. Points don’t matter for goalies but let’s hope for some more shutouts as he is currently dominating with 14 of them this season. 2. Malmo and Vancouver could be a wicked final- not sure who would win though. 3. I’m a leafs fan and I like how the team looks this season. I wouldn’t say no to some crazy trade for a player like Crosby but I highly doubt that’ll happen, and I don’t think it’s necessary anyways. Questions 1. What trade do you think should have happened this TDL in the VHL or VHLM? 2. Who has been your VHL/M team’s MVP this season (so far)? 3. You get to add 1 perk to purchase in the player store, what is it called and what effect would it have on your player?

Answers 1. It’s been a great first 2/3 of the season! 2. Hit my personal milestone goal with 10 shutouts yesterday, so I would say he’s far exceeding the expectations he had on him this season thus far. 3. He’s gotta be “in the right frames of the mind” so yes he does, but I’m can’t go into details about what it is. 4. Everyone is pretty much playing like how is predicted at the start of the season so can’t really say I’m surprised by any other team. Some players yes, but teams as a whole no. 5. The community and all the new friends I keep making the longer I’ve been around. 6. No real number 1 favourite but I feel like steak or bacon is always the correct choice here lol

I’ve written about how many goalies I’ve created and have spoken at great lengths about their accomplishments and records. Sometimes they are big records that have been long standing in the league, sometimes they are a bit more minuscule in their relevance but still have some meaning to myself. Reaching a new goal is never the finish line, but another bar to strive past- regardless of how much of an impact they have. As long as you keep setting goals, you’ll always keep climbing to the top. Ricky is the 3rd goalie I’ve created and I have been fairly blessed so far with all 3 of them. My first goalie, Jimmy Spyro, set a personal record for “most shutouts in a single season” during his VHLM draft season (and first full season as a starting goalie) with 9 shutouts, plus 1 more shutout in the playoffs. He didn’t have any in his first season when I created him, so his total shutouts is 10 in the VHLM. Ash Sparks never broke that record or really even came close in the VHLM. He had 4 shutouts in his VHLM draft season, and 2 shutouts prior to that in his first season within the 12 games he played when he signed as a waiver (or I guess the season he was created, whichever works) bringing his total VHLM shutouts up to 6. He did manage to tie my Personal Best for “most shutouts in a single season” in the VHL though, but just the regular season. He had 9 shutouts in the regular season (tied with Jimmy Spyro for my regular season PB) but didn’t appear in the playoffs, meaning the record for myself was still 10 on my first goalie. This finally changed, and it happened last night when Ricky recorded his 10th regular season shutout in his 44th game, meaning there are still 28 more games left this season for him to possibly extend this PB even further. Ricky also had 8 shutouts last season, plus 1 more in the playoffs. He has been an absolute beast in net and most certainly has exceeded my expectations already. This is exciting for me, even if it has very little to do with any league records outside of holding the shutout record in San Diego. I’m eager to see how the rest of this season goes for Ricky, as he currently Captains this Marlins team to hopefully more success! (400+ words)

I’m unsure too but I do believe we talked about what you just mentioned a little before on a podcast .. I can’t recall when it was now tho Sparks had an assist when there was an empty net and it sparked the “what if” discussion. I think we found an answer from someone (can’t remember who it was off the top of my head, sorry) and we concluded that; even if the player for team B own goals and the goalie for team A was the last to touch the puck, the goal is awarded to the last player on team A that touched the puck and the goalie of team A is just awarded with an assist

Answers 1. I’m pretty sure i predicted Vancouver winning it this season and so far they are doing really good- can definitely still see them winning the Continental Cup. 2. I think we need 2 more VHLM teams and it would be cool to bring at least 1 E team back as an M team. As for the other, I want to see a Quebec team come into the league so that will be my answer: Quebec City. 3. I’m optimistic about Ricky- he has been 1 of top goalies, possibly even THE top goalie in the VHLM this season. Here’s to hoping that continues. Questions 1.
