  1. Just wondering why this was declines when other players in my draft class (S72) like @McWolf @twists @Matt_Oand are all the same draft year and experience as i me ? sorry im just confused i reread the guidelines and i dont see what i dont meet ? ? my apologies , just looking for some clarification
  2. Thank you so much for all the kind words @DMaximus I am so thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to having a bigger role in the VHL community, and i couldnt be happier to be starting that with my #ReaperNation and the boys in Philly , @DMaximus inspired me to apply for the WJC position just as a long shot , and i feel i have proven my front office skills and look forward to the upcoming playoffs and setting the stepping stones gettin ready for our big VHLM Draft, Thanks again @DMaximus and everyone thats helped me get to where i am today .
  3. Spencer Elsby was one of the 4 youngest for Team Asia at the world junior championship. Team Asias GM was well aware these young men are just as talented if not more than the others that showed up to camp 2 or even 3 years older. I picked these young men for a reason and I am so happy and proud of all their performances. “I thought there youth certainly showed in it, each game you could see the young guys learning from the vets and using new skills that rubbed off from playing with great leaders” said Team Asias coach following his team’s 7-5 loss to Europe in the Gold medal game. “I know we opened a lot of eyes and definitely garnered some more attentions from VHL teams for our young guys and what an amazing developmental opportunity, no one would be able to tell you they were 16 out there or rookies , they fit right in perfect , these are truly exceptional players. As a coach, you’re very conscious of that. “In the tournament you know the areas where he can succeed in and the times when you know it’s going to be tough.” Elsby, who turns 17 in in July , had a goal and 11 assists in the tournament and was Asias Fourth-highest point-getter. However, it was a tournament of ups and downs for the youngster. Elsby found himself a minus at the end of the tournament something he is not used to and drives him crazy throught preliminary round games against USA , Elsby also found himself on the wrong end of more stick infractions than his norm.“This tournament with its structure these young men were forced to play A LOT” Team Asia’s coach said. “It had nothing to do with his effort, or anything like that. Just sometimes it was overwhelming for him. Tonight, at times, it was overwhelming for him. “Most of those kids on Europe’s team are pretty big boys and on the verge of turning pro next year in he VHL. Elsby is a young 16-year-old and you have to be careful with that.” – Spencer Elsby Sr Elsby and his new good friend/enemy on the ice @Mike, and his roommate Adam Frence are among the best first year players in on the planet and are most likely returnees for team Asia as they chase that elusive Gold Medal, However with the way the VHLM WJC is formatted we might see these three young superstars representing different teams at next years WJC and different jerseys. Elsby has stated in the media how much he would love to be drafted to the same team and how much he would love to be standing beside his good buddy Frence @Kachur on draft night. “Everyone is a very important part of this program moving forward, We hope to have similar success and the ultimate goal next year of achieving gold, These young men have been nothing but a pleasure to coach and truly love to learn and make each other better ” Team Asias coach said. This tournament really opened my eyes and I know it did to every one of Elsbys teammates. Coming into the tournament with the PHI/OTT rivalry I wasn’t sure how the Lynx players would react with Elsby knowing his on ice behaviors, and truly to my surprise Elsby was inseparable from Defenz Mann and Frence those three were always together laughing and joking around, In our exit interviews almost every player mentioned how great and encouraging teammate Elsby is. It was evident throughout the tournament this young man love to learn and wants to get better every time he plays. He is always really analyzing the plays and spends hours watching game tapes and has a talent like ive never seen before with his ability to learn and grow from his mistakes and growing into such a well rounded , and unpredictable with that skill. “This young man is going to be something special.” Team Asias GM
  4. Elsby has the potential to quarterback a top power-play unit at the next level, thanks to his high-end hockey sense and elite puck skills on the blue-line. He can transition the puck from defense to offense with possession and is able to do so with good pace to his game. Spencer uses his excellent skating to drive the play and push the pace from the back end. He is an excellent transition player, can make tape-to-tape passes on the fly and presents a high-end offensive game and play making ability that make him dangerous every time he touches the puck. His agility on his edges and accelerates with ease and blows by opponents with his speed. He has the ability to be the primary puck carrier on his line and excels in the role, cutting through neutral zone defenses like a hot knife in butter. Elsby’s game revolves around his ability to do everything extremely quickly. His hands and feet are both very quick, but his brain might be even quicker because he seems to be able to make great decisions no matter the situation and how much pressure he’s getting from opposing players. Ending his rookie season with an iron man 72 GP with the Philadelphia Reapers eye popping deference racked up 11 Goals, 24 Assists ,3GWG and 83 Shots blocked putting him 2nd only behind all star defensive defenceman Jason Goeson. The 11 Goals has Elsby as the leading Goal scorer from the blue line for Philly and his offensive ability to quarterback the Power play has been on the highlight reels every week. Elsby is currently sitting at 11th Ovr on the VHL S72 Draft boards moving up 7 spots from rankings published earlier this season. Scouts have Elsby potential late 1st and high 2nd round pick of the VHL draft. Elsby also was selected as a 16 year old in his rookie VHLM season to represent Team Asia in the S71 WJC. Team Asia went on to be the #1 seed team after round robin and making it to the gold medal game , where things obviously did end the way Asia would have preferred that had a great tournament and played some great hockey. Elsby but up an outstanding performance registering 1G,8A,9Pts in 8 GP (over a point per game) during round robin and another 3 Assists throughout the Semi Final and Gold Medal game for a total of . Elsby as a rookie finished the tournament 3rd In defenceman scoring in very fine fashion. Elsby has proven this league he is truly one of the most finesse players in this league and his ability to dodge hits and even after being hit most importantly not retaliating. There is already talks around the league that Elsby is considered the most hated player to play against because how sly he is about being chippy behind the refs eyes and never shuts his mouth. However off the ice all of the opponents admit Elsby is the sweetest and most genuine guy off the ice, he is two different people, when the games starts Elsby is not to be messed with, But off the ice hes everyone’s best friend always goofing around. This is something Elsby actually takes pride in and was quoted after his last game of the season with Mississauga last season “I want every player in the league to look at there schedule, and say , F*** we have to play Elsby tonight ☹, that is my goal to instill that in all of my opponents minds.”. This is something Elsby has been quoted saying several times as well at the beginning of this season during post game interviews. However now hes play speaks for itself and he doesnt need to tell anyone in the VHLM that. credit to @Zetterberg “Elsby has been one of the draft’s biggest risers throughout the first half of the year thanks to his exceptional play in the VHLM this year and even in Mississauga late last season. He really proved himself to his GM @DMaximus cclearly going from a 3rd line D pairing to 1st line in every situation . His puck handing and ability to get shots through shooting lanes no one else sees is like no other. His ability to read the play and create passing lanes from walking the line with his amazing edges or a no look slap pass, this kid is a treat to watch. He is as creative a player with the puck as you will find in this draft.” - Bob Mckenzie- TSN "His speed is impressive ... he can fly. Elsby's puck handling and vision are also excellent. I wasn’t sure on Elsby at the beginning of the season but I can promise you today I am 100% confident Elsby will one day be a #1 D quarterback on he back in the VHL , the future is very bright for this diverse and exciting player, his ceiling is unmatchable and he truly has no floor, this young man is a win-win for whatever lucky team calls his name on draft day. He's got a good attitude, works hard on every shift, and is so confident with the puck. He's also a little bit cocky on the ice, but in a positive way." Craig Button – TSN
  5. Q. Spencer, I wanted to get your comments on how it felt marking the double-digit plateau in Goals Tonight . You were able to score twice tonight against Houston and weve recently seen a surge in your point totals since returning from the WJC. What exactly has contributed to your recent success? SPENCER ELSBY : Hitting that 10 goal plateau was a goal of mine all season and its honestly a little relief after all the unlucky bounces I’ve had this season, the boys are starting to call me “MR.P” for post in the locker room definitely not a nickname I plan on sticking ? , I want to be known for what I really do , “MR.BD” Bar down baby! Q. What did you guys talk about going into these final three gams of the season. The standing are tight and matchups were definitely uncertain? Clearly tonight you guys still seemed to ratchet it up a notch or two against the bulls all night to put the game away. What was said in the lockeroom ? SPENCER ELSBY: There really wasn’t much change in our game plan , all season we’ve had one goal and that’s to win the playoffs , the regular season has just been great practice. We talked about keeping the foot on the gas and just doing what we do and know our roles and stay true to that. We came out and I think we put the gas full throttle there. We wanted to get the next goal every shift . We wanted to make statements in these last couple games leading up to the real games. We had a tough loss to Ottawa the other night, but we are strong and when the reapers get knocked down we just keep getting up again. From there we just kept rolling and rolling throughout tonight’s game. We had the momentum all in our favor and we just — we executed our game plan to perfection there.
  6. 1)Exactly what you just said the increased intensity , playoff hockey is like no other.. our season is on the line and potentially the last game some guys will ever play in the VHLM gonna miss you @BarzalGoat 2)The playoffs are always unpredictable , i know we are the stronger team and we have the chemistry as a group that has all bought into a system that can take down anyone 3)AYYYYYY Vlad ! Im looking forward to shadowing you all series 4)Im going to be in the gym 24/7 ive got priorities 5)TBH im truly not one to annoy off the ice , on the ice everything is fair game in love and war , but once we step off the ice , im a different person 6)I was unaware of these secret societies and am going to pretend i didnt hear that.... ? ?

  11. Well here we are on this Wednesday afternoon April 22nd 2020 , and in the middle of a global pandemic no one saw coming . Turn the clock back two months, I had been trying to get a GM position in the illustrious FNHL and to my surprise my dreams came true and was offered the GM position of the Colorado Avalanche for the upcoming FNHL season. This is where I met the man , the myth , the legend @Jubo07 as he was the first other GM to reach out to me and give me the most valuable advice and making sure that no one took advantage of my as a new guy and pretty much watched my back like a big brother. Julian later that day introduced me to the idea of the VHL and sent me the link to the site based on my interest in these types of thing, and boy was he ever right. Julian was EXTREMELY patient and thorough with explaining the somewhat overwhelming TPE system when starting and that made things so much easier. I also must give a huge shout out to my GM from my short-lived time in S70 with Mississauga he was right there holding my hand with any questions and getting me earning TPE. Last and definitely not least @DMaximus My GM right now in Philadelphia is honestly the nicest and most genuine person and am always telling myself how fortunate I am to have been drafted to such a well-run organization. The Reapers Discord is always active. Dmax is and has ALWAYS been right on top of things since day one when I received the message from him that congratulating me and inviting me to his impeccable Discord he has set up. The Philadelphia Reapers Discord Dmax has ton bots set up with game results posted instantly and even advanced stats honestly blown away with the detail. The biggest thing Dmax has truly given me is his knowledge and helping me and showing me EVERY possible way to earn the maximum TPE possible each week and always being patient and helpful throughout everything. He has taken me from a late round pick to likely 1st round pick in the S72 VHL draft. He has provided me invaluable knowledge when allocating my TPE and helping me understand exactly what each attribute and how it will show on ice. He has really guided me through my player growth this year with amazing advice on putting my TPE into the attributes that most well represent the player I want to be on the ice and most of all rounding out my defensive game. I knew I had the defensive skills. I am finally starting to prove that to the league and other GMs with my shot blocking skills and great stick work and overall positioning and ability to see plays before they unfold and capitalize on that with my offensive talent. (Side Note: I love the reapers D-System) Now back to present day and here i am , only two months into my VHL career , and I am now the GM of Team Asia for the S71 WJC, moved from 3rd D pairing to averaging almost 25+ minutes a game and 1st PP and PK, from a late round nobody to a more than likely 1st round draft choice in S72 VHL Entry Draft. I Spence King AKA Spencer Elsby Sr AKA Spencer Elsby cant thank these three men and truly the entire VHL community for making this league what it is , the constant activity and keeping users engaged on a daily basis and the media spots , the hype , the twitch streams (hearing my name called during a draft on twitch literally gave me chills) is so amazing and is the reason I am currently on the VHL website and this is my life now and I couldn’t be happier , Thank you to EVERYONE in the VHL community you’re all so amazing and I cant thank you enough for the effort you all put in to making this experience so much fun. HUGE SHOUTOUT TO @Jubo07 for the surprise graphic it
  12. 1)Im feeling great , my body is in the best shape its ever been in , i cant believe were already half way done the season.. 2)I think Europe will win the WJC , they have by far the most skilled and well balanced team it would be a shock to see them not win gold IMO 3)I actually am very new to the VHL and have only been paying attention to the VHLM standing lately and , i think Phillys going to win , and its obvious why ... They are the best 4) Ive got all sorts of music playing , it all depends on the mood im in , 80% of the time its Eminem splitting syllable , some times its a beautiful song or even some nice Reggae, and Rock , theres always something new 5)Thats a very tough question but i would love to see them find a way to make a basketball that would dribble properly and mix my two favorite sports Basketball on skates 6)Its pretty rough tbh , its getting pretty bad , even other players have made comments on the stench during practice hahaha

  16. Edited 600+ words now sorry for my mistake here
  17. Two months ago in Espoo, Finland , Spence Elsby Sr , GM of the Colorado Avalanche in the FNHL, was asked what he planned to do get back to the national level now that he had found himself back where he'd long wished to be and long should have been. After the still very untold and limited information leading up to Elsby Sr being blackballed during his playing career and seeing that happen again after amazing success as a GM in the OHL , people are finally getting past whatever happened and realizing this mans IQ and ability to assess players skills, and weakness and the intangible quality and knowledge of how to show these players what to work on and what they needed to do to improve as well as the ultimate goal Elsby had for all his players , make the pros. After his tenure in the OHL as everyone knows SOMETHING happened for Elsby to be shunned like he was after his proven success at that level and the recognition he even received from his players , always mentioning Elsby’s ridiculous determination , patience and overall teaching abilities “He is by FAR the best GM I’ve ever had , he was also a coach and a good friend , I have never learned more than I did in the short time I spent playing for Mr Elsby and cant thank him enough for everything he has taught me, we still keep in touch and he usually will call me at least once if I don’t call him first to check in and just make sure im doing my best because that man really truly cares about his players.” Elsby Sr said after moving back to his home country Finland he had made a commitment and would keep it. That commitment is to win on the national stage , and work with the best players in the world and continue to pass on his knowledge as Elsby is just a true fan of the and who some call the Elon Musk of hockey Elsby is in for some great competition after recently being named GM of team Asia for the upcoming WJC , Europe and USA are heavily favored in the upcoming tournament and Asia is probably the biggest underdog in this years tournament. Elsby Sr deffintely has his work cut out for him , however hes deffintely got the skills and some nice up coming prospects that are almost locks on the team such as @Jungkok who has been playing amazing as of lately , as star forward Shaposhnikov. "I think we have more rinks in my home town of Sault Ste. Marie than the all of Asia. (laughs) To be honest the skill level of some of these players at there age just blows my mind especially coming from a country where hockey is almost uknown" Elsby said in an interview with VHLSPN . "I think we have 1,200 registered players, and to have the opportunity to play a team like Team Canada and Team Sweden and prove what these young men have is huge – it doesn't matter how many shots you get, it's how many go in the net – so to play were going to be playing them tough, but also relying on our extremely high offensive skill set with some secret weapon players that are definitely going to open some eyes to all VHL GMS, I'm extremely proud of them." “Overall im very happy with the players that weve chosen , it wasn’t easy making the last picks but I know weve got a great group here, im really looking forward to seeing their talents compliments eachother” Elsby said this morning on VHLSPN. Elsby may have GM experience in other leagues but this is is debut as a GM within the VHLM world and the whole world will be watching come puck drop when these WJC start. Will Elsby’s blue collar roster and new mentality bring him or good fortunes , or will it fail miserably?
  18. 1) Its not so much a hatred but a rivalry forsure , when i see Ottawa on the schedule i get excited because i know its going to be some really good hockey 2)I myself prefer playing against tougher opponents and more skilled , this tends to push me to my best and play harder i always play up to the competition 3) Im really hoping were getting Philadelphia native Kevin Hart 4) i wouldnt mind throwing a nice hipcheck on Shaq and put 7 feet head over heels and have myself TSN highlight for the rest of my life 5) I LOVE cats , and these big cats just give me more love , ive been playing "hand ball" with the tigers passing balls back and forth as they bat wit there massive paws/ 6) The training that i have been doing with the animals is really improving there dexterity and full arm and paw control , i am also noticing they are learning to keep there claw retracted when playing, as we would never de-claw at G.W Zoo
  19. Thank you so much for this opportunity !! I am so excited to start my work off the ice and show my IQ translates to front office skills as well ! So excited for this opportunity ! i this community

  21. Spencer Elsby is proving to be one of the biggest breakout stars this season. The progression in his confidence and growth in his skill set is almost beyond belief. The Philadelphia Reapers got a STEAL of a pick draft him at 35th Ovr into the VHLM. Elsby , 2nd on his team in SB as a primarily offensive, but can also really shutdown elite players. Right now Elsby is sitting ranked 13th Ovr for the upcoming VHL draft he managed to jump from 32nd to 13th a borderline first round pick within the first quarter of the season. The Sky is the limit for Elsby and he is definitely going to be a high pick in this years VHL draft its already been confirmed by his agent he has been contacted by more than 4 teams. Elsby However has expressed his goals right now are on winning the VHLM title and becoming a legend in Philadelphia fans wont ever forget. Elsby has a very interesting sense of fashion that has become quite evident with his move to North America. His tall lanky frame but absolutely shredded and broad shoulder, Blonde Hair and blue eyes walks out of the bus looking like a Finnish Allen Iverson, baggiest pants , massive jacket and too many gold chains to count. This is where the name is now sticking the Finnish white Iverson.
  22. Thanks for the support @Jubo07 and @Viperxhawks19 greatly appreciated from the two guys that were there for me from literally day 1
  23. 1)Amazing team chemistry, everyone has bought into the system and coming closer together as group, most of all some stellar goal tending 2) Im beyond happy with the way the Reapers have performed and am as proud today as i was the first day i knew i was going to be a Reaper 3)To be honest i think theyve gotten some lucky bounces, theres alot of hockey left and i believe we are the better hockey club and it the end that will prove itself 4) I will deffintely be mid celly after scoring and my stick is going to be raised thats forsure lol 5) Invisibility sounds pretty dang good to me for that scenario 6) Their hockey abilities
  24. +10 Spencer Elsby
