  1. Maybe the next set of trades will help
  2. One of the more interesting storylines coming into this season, at least for me, surrounded the narrative of elite defensemen in the VHL. In the past, defensemen like Hard Markinson, Aurelien Moreau, and Tui Sova carried those mantles. Going into the past couple seasons after that trio's retirement though has caused questions for all. Who is the real superstar defenseman in the VHL? In S86, Bo Johansson stepped up to the plate as the sole capable defenseman on Chicago, feeding their few star forwards. Bruiser defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun seemed like the heir apparent for Markinson, coming in 2nd in defensemen scoring as well. Davos defenseman Jake Thunder also had a standout season. Now in S87, Johansson isn't even in the top 10 for defensemen scoring, and Thunder and GoodBrandSun are barely holding on to their spots on the leaderboard as they're tied for 9th place. Enter one Hammar Voss @BOOM. After a strong rookie season with Helsinki, he saw his time there quickly end after the team collapsed and pieces were sent across the league. Voss ended up in Malmo despite stating an intention to head to free agency, but agreed to a deal during the early FA discussion period to sign with Moscow after his rights were traded to the Russian team. Despite some struggles since his rookie season in Helsinki, Voss has continued to improve each and every season, and now leads all defensemen with 69 points in 49 games. Voss has already surpassed his career high in goals and points, and will set a new assist high with 1 more. Just 3 more points are needed for his first point-per-game season, and he'll surely be eyeing a 100+ point season and some hardware for his personal award case at the end of the season. Most of all though, he'll be looking to be a critical leader and player for Moscow to help the franchise raise the elusive Continental Cup.
  3. System essentially makes less important/valued attributes easier to get, while the more coveted ones are much more difficult to get. Add in that SC will max at around 93-94 in STHS to prevent having core attributes at 99's in our engine. It's been explained many times that STHS wasn't designed for that high attributes. So we made a conscious decision to set it up this way.
  4. Wasn't the question playoff finals appearances? Different answer than LVA there...
  5. Literally the worst article I've read yet
  6. Fuck you, @Toast
  7. Rest easy, this one won't blow your eardrums out. No screaming either. Just a very riffy song with very clean drumming. Very clean is the opposite of what I'd say about this Moscow team though. Hammar Voss @BOOM leads the team with 92 PIMs, AK92 @hedgehog337 in 2nd with 79 and Sogaard @Brandon in 3rd with 73. Moscow ranks 3rd in the league for PIMs with 421, behind LDN and CGY's tie for 1st with 440. Fortunately Moscow's PK percentage is stellar with 86.75%, good for 2nd in the league. But the sheer amount of time shorthanded keeps the best players off the ice or stuck on penalty killing duty. Moscow's offense has stagnated considerably. The easy solution is to stop bringing physical players to Moscow, or to stop having prospects build physically. That's what other cup-winning teams have done, especially during the meta era. However, I don't really care to go uber-optimization mode to get wins. If people want to be a physical team that runs over their opponents, I have no problem with it. Seeing your players win Boulets makes it worth it. Or even simpler, it's just nice to allow players to build what they want. That being said, take fewer penalties ffs.
  8. Who cares about NA, waiting for the EU article
  9. Resist. Tbh either you have faith in like 7 seasons of work or you don't. I stand by my opinion that your performance is 50% controlled by your build and 50% determined by your team and your teammates' builds. Shit, look at VAN swapping out Nico for Preo at identical TPA yet slightly different builds and suddenly going on a cup winning tear.
  10. BOG shill Voss FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY sad
  11. Sad to hear about everything going on, but massive congrats on getting engaged!!!

  16. Dropping some questions so folks can get their TPE! 1. Over the past few sims, our Power Play has struggled mightily. What do you think we need to change in order to make it successful? 2. Hammar Voss is 5th in the league in points, and 2nd amongst defensemen this season. What is he doing well that gives him this much success? 3. Moscow currently has 4 players over a point per game, is this something we can maintain? Can more players make it to this level of production? 4. Management has offered players the ability to pick one drink for the locker room for free. What drink do you choose and why? 5. Management is also considering purchasing all players a new pair of headphones for travel. What would you recommend the team receives? 6. Fall Out Boy and Bring me the Horizon are doing an NA tour this summer. If you could see any artist/group live, who would you see and why?
  17. Web scraping the portal is fairly easy, making a dashboard is a bit trickier due to all the different inputs. I've wanted to get portal API access for a bit now for other personal projects but that went on the back burner a while ago. Might need to circle back on that and see if I can get access without fucking up the server load.
