  1. The Minnesota Storm have gone crazy early this season, sporting a 13- 3- 0 record with a plus 42 +/-, with two games that they have outscored their opponent by 11 or more, with one 11-0 victory over San Diego and one 13-0 victory over Houston, and at the time of this writing the Minnesota Storm have a 7 game win streak, taking down San Diego, Las Vegas (who they are tied for first with), Miami, Mexico, Houston, and Halifax. Cole Newhook has been pulling his weight, with one goal and seven assists in sixteen games for a respectable half of a point per game. Newhook looks to continue to score and hopefully put up even more points and score more goals, one of his lacking skills. This Minnesota team looks like it has the tools to become a cup contender, with 4 skaters and 1 goalie over 200 TPE, with 1 skater and 1 goalie at the VHLM cap. Also adding onto this, they have 14 skaters over 100, and both of their goalies over 100 as well. We asked Newhook his thoughts on the team and he responded with "I know we are a playoff team this year, and I think we are cup favorites by many. I'm looking forward to this season."
  2. Not a single point. Sad
  3. Welcome to the league Moose! I don't have anything to offer you but limited guidance, as I am kinda new also, but nevertheless, welcome!

Yeah, they probably won't upgrade it, it's pretty good, but could use some improvements definitely. Don't really play HUT or chel 'cuz i's not as fun to me as franchise.

I'm also currently working on a custom league, re-making all 31 teams and placing them around the world, and it's hard but roster sharing would make it much easier.

I would say four things would make NHL 21 a way better game:

      1) Bring back GM Connected Franchise Mode, like Madden's online franchise mode.

      2) Bring back Be A Pro but in a story format with cutscenes, off-ice control, or just improve on the current format. Anything to make that mode better.

      3) This is a small little detail that would be cool, but in the playoffs, have the series score next to the score so for example:

      3rd: 19:08 | WPG 1 NSH 0 | WPG Leads 3-1

      4) Revamp the scoreboard and the broadcasting system. The scoreboard would be good looking like the HNIC scoreboard and possibly bring in a different commentator? NHL 20's broadcaster hasn't been too bad but it would be cool to see someone like Jim Hughson in the broadcast booth.

  5. Yes, I'm on Minnesota.
  6. How was I not one of the three stars!?!?!?
  7. Dang, @Nici your'e popular. I got two offers, youve got like half the league.
  8. I don't know why I said "just" a nuke. lol
  9. And only 1 goal for me? come on, save me a little glory
  10. COLE NEWHOOK TPE- 105 Center 6'2", 205 lb VHL drafted 35th overall / VHLM drafted 36th overall / 20 year old Cole Newhook started his career on the Mississauga Hounds, playing second or third line minutes, and put up 3 goals and 15 assists for 18 points in 29 games. He did not have the greatest stats this year or the start of S72, per the -22 +/- on the Hounds and 2 points in 10 games for the Storm, but his team was not the greatest last year on the Hounds and Newhook is not playing as many minutes on the Storm. Still, Newhook's value should not be measured wholly in points or plus/ minus, and has plenty of upside. PROS: PLAYMAKING: Newhook has plenty of playmaking upside, per his 15 assists in 29 games in the VHLM last year on a pretty bad team on the second or third line. He could easily become a great puck- feeder to top scorers in the future. DEFENSE: Newhook did not have the greatest defensive stats the past year with the Hounds, but he know understands the importance of defense as a forward as well, and has greatly improved. FACEOFFS: Newhook's faceoff skills have greatly helped him with assists, feeding the puck to people who'd fire it at the net and hopefully score. Newhook's faceoffs are a great part of his game. WEAKNESSES FIGHTING: Very rarely is there a forward with Newhook's potential that excels at fighting, and Newhook is no exception to this. If teams want a fighting center, Newhook is not your guy. DISCIPLINE: Newhook gets quite a few penalties for a forward like him, with nine penalty minutes in 10 games so far for the Storm this year. Newhook should look to improve upon this over the season. PHYSICALITY: Newhook is not the greatest physical forward, as he is more of a playmaker, and his checking, discipline and fighting all need improvement, and I have recently spoken with him about this issue, and he says he is definitely looking to improve upon this. REVIEW: Cole Newhook is a great prospect that Moscow lucked out on in the third round of the S72 draft. His playmaking is, in my eyes, his best asset, and should continue to develop into a steal for Moscow. His glaring need is clearly his physicality and will likely continue to bulk up in the VHLM, from his fighting skill and discipline.
