  1. Review:

A next to perfect sig, this is top quality VHL stuff right here. The lighting, background, and everything supplementing it just makes this very easy on the eyes. My only knock on it is the lack of team/VHL branding on the sig, but other than that I love this.

    9.5/10

Hello everyone, I would just like to take this pre-draft VHL.com article to talk about a few players in my opinion, with the right team, can become absolute draft steals.

    1. Chicken Wing @chikn

    D | 5' 9" | 200 lb. | VHL Team: :mia: | TPE: 204

Season GP G A P +/- SHT PIM HIT SB GW PPG SHG
    74 (MIA) 72 29 40 69 -22 250 101 165 128 8 18 1

THE GIST: Chicken Wing has burst onto the VHLM scene for Miami, quickly establishing herself as a star dman on a Marauders team making quite the playoff run. Her earning has been quite solid so far, and knowing her personally, I see no reason why that would not continue. You can definitely pencil her in to the long list of budding VHL stars that Miami GM @Ricer13 has grown.

DRAFT PROJECTION: Late 1st round to :prg:

    2. Kjell Nilsson @glass

    C | 6' 0" | 189 lb. | VHL Team: :ssk: | TPE: 103

Season GP G A P +/- SHT PIM HIT SB GW PPG SHG
    74 (SSK) 70 6 13 19 -18 88 28 59 40 2 1 0

THE GIST: Although Nilsson struggled in a depth role on Saskatoon this season, there is a lot to like about this guy. He is a graphics legend, if you can get him to apply himself, and has been a steady welfare+ type of guy. Although some people may avoid the playmaker build that Kjell Nilsson is rocking, I think the person behind the build should exceed any doubt you may have.

DRAFT PROJECTION: 3rd round to :dcd:

    3. Ramarod Ramirez @Ominous

    RW | 6' 0" | 180 lb. | VHL Team: :mck:/:hou: | TPE: 107

Season GP G A P +/- SHT PIM HIT SB GW PPG SHG
    74 (HOU) 68 17 39 56 13 249 51 103 20 4 3 1

THE GIST: Ominous is definitely a character, proving it by demanding a trade after some locker room drama with a teammate in Mexico, reportedly involving 1 player's wife. A man with sim experience in both EHM and SHL, all he needs is that little push to start max earning, and it should be no problem. Nice guy, tries hard, loves the game.

  7. YBl4627.png Dakota Lamb Rookie Experience YBl4627.png

    dIWloxe.jpeg

Every VHL player's journey starts somewhere. For Dakota Lamb, it started when he heard the words...

"with the 10th overall pick in the S73 VHL Entry Draft, the Warsaw Predators select... from the Miami Marauders, DAKOTA LAMB!"

He was happy to be drafted by another expansion team, something he was familiar with due to being drafted into the VHLM by the expansion Miami Marauders :mia:. Fast forward through a development year in the VHLM for Lamb, in which he recorded 44 Goals and 92 Points, while also going to the Founder's Cup Finals. Lamb loved his time in Miami, and plans to possibly return there someday post-professional career. But, the stats alone, and also receiving praise from around the VHLM, proved that after that season, he was ready to make the jump to the bigs, and take on the VHL.

Going into the season, the team mostly knew that it would be a learning and growth year for the team. Lamb was ready to bring and train with his teammates to become the best version of themselves, one that can hopefully bring this newly born franchise to VHL glory. After picking up a few key pieces through the S74 VHL Entry Draft such as 1st overall pick Aloe Dear, and second rounders Tim Waters and Lexi Glass, the roster was set and ready to compete. Lamb was set to debut on the 2nd line, playing his natural Centre position, after some questions whether or not he would be on the wing. And oh boy, against the Prague Phantoms, what a debut it was...

    (Announcer)

"Lamb brings it into the Phantoms zone, he cuts to the middle, quick shot, HE SCORESSSSSSS!!! DAKOTA. LAMB. IN HIS FIRST VHL GAME, GIVES WARSAW THE LEAD!"

    And then...

"Lamb wins the draw in the Phantoms zone back to Waters... Waters cycles it to Lin on the near boards... fights through a check to keep possession... cross crease feed to Lamb, quick shot, he SCORESSSSS!!!! 2 GOAL GAME FOR LAMB!"

    But he wasn't done.

"Prague dumps it in to the Predators zone and changes out, Krishna is going to play this! He passes it up to Grachev, 2 on 1! Warsaw caught Prague changing slowly, Grachev passes it off to Lamb, backhand, forehand, GOALLLLLLLLL!!!! DAKOTA LAMB HAS A HAT TRICK IN HIS DEBUT VHL GAME, WHAT A START FOR THIS KID! WARSAW TAKES A 6-2 LEAD IN THE 3RD!"

A hat trick in his debut VHL game. Something you could only dream of, and Lamb had done it. Of course, this was just the beginning of what this kid could bring to a VHL franchise. So far, through 65 games, Lamb has 34 goals and 41 assists, for 75 points, good for the VHL rookie lead. Lamb is a humble guy however, and not much matters to him except one stat - wins. Of course, this has been sort of an expected, albeit disappointing season for Warsaw - wins wise. However, with the recent trades such as acquiring Latrell Mitchell, and the inevitable coming of stud defenceman Muffbeav, Lamb is ready to go, and expects Warsaw to be one of the elite teams in the VHL, sooner than what everyone else may think.
