  1. Omi Aberg, a former Ottawa Lynx player this off-season could have participated in 2 different drafts and he did! First, in the morning he was selected by Houston Bulls in the 2nd round, but after this draft, he was getting ready for the 2nd draft which was the VHL draft and he got selected in the 1st round by Vancouver Wolves. Omi Aberg after the Vancouver draft pick. He woke up that morning and he felt - this is the day to make some history. And it was! It was Aberg's day to enjoy his junior's career coming to end and him graduating to something bigger - VHL. The only problem is, that he is going to continue playing in VHLM for this season and then he will most likely join the newly created VHLE league, so in that way, probably not that bigger. Nonetheless, it was a huge day for him and he started it in the Islands at home, at 7 am with a beer in his hands, and was watching the VHLM draft. Aberg was pretty angry at some general managers that passed upon him because he thought that he still has a lot to prove in the small league and he is not planning on leaving, but he fell to 2nd round and he was picked by Houston Bulls. Interestingly, Omi Aberg's first hockey opponents were the Bulls. Only the real ones, because on the islands people didn't know how to play hockey. That is why he is a bull himself and he will fit in the team perfectly. He had a phone call with the management after the draft, even though it was easily understandable that Aberg was pretty drunk and he didn't talk sense, that's why Houston Bulls GM arranged the meeting for a later date because it made sense. It was 11 am in the Islands but he was already drunk. Luckily, the VHL draft was a few hours later, so he was able to sober up a little bit. Mainly because there was a film crew with potential first-rounders and Aberg was a part of them. He had a couple of calls from different teams, but nothing direct, so he didn't really know where he was going. One by one pick was coming until it was time for the Vancouver pick. Aberg was pretty sure that he wouldn't be picked by Wolves, mainly because he wasn't a part of their shortlist and he wasn't in the mock drafts a part of Wolves. The clock ticks and it is time for Wolves to make the decision. THE VANCOUVER WOLVES SELECT 50-YEAR-OLD OMI ABERG FROM THE ISLANDS. And it felt really damn well for Aberg to hear that. He made the big league and he was able to continue his old-hood dream - to become a VHL star. The first brick in this road has been put in - get drafted in the league. The expectations are big because Aberg got drafted in the 1st round, but if he will be able to keep up with the expectations - only time will tell.
  2. D.C Dragons Press Conference D.C. Dragons this year drafted 1 player in 4 rounds. What do you prefer, building a team by draft picks or signing players, that have proved themselves in the league? Which drafted player this year has got the biggest chance to become a Hall of Famer? (https://vhlportal.com/teams/drafts/50) How would you describe yourself if you had to use a quote from a movie? What team are you looking forward to winning against the most? What is your favorite board game to play with your family and friends? What is the most important trait for the captain of the team?

  7. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE Week Ending July 18, 2021 1. Dlamb got the Warsaw GM job! What do you think of this and what do you say to dlamb? Dlamb will do great in Warsaw, he has been a captain there for his whole career and he will know what to do with that team. I just wish him luck and be strong! 2. What are you doing to keep busy? I'm watching CSGO Major's and Tennis, there are some pretty fun matches on the TV. 3. What's your favorite NHL team? Who do you think they'll lose to the Kraken? I don't really have one, but if I have to pick one it is probably either San Jose Sharks or Colombus Blue Jackets. I haven't really looked into which player would they have to lose. 4. Any predictions for either the VHL or VHLM next season? I think Warsaw with Dlamb are going to do very well! 5. How did you exactly find out about the VHL? I joined together with dlamb and few other dudes from EHM league and we were introduced by mr Enorama! 6. What's better: mashed or baked potatoes? Baked potatoes every single day of the week.
  8. Recently a news outlet broke down a story, that this year's VHL and VHLM one of the hottest prospects has disappeared and no one can't quite reach him. Even the local police were involved and it was quite serious, but after few days Aberg himself contacted police and said, that everything was fine with him, but the long off-season had made him quite bored, and that's why he went to his favorite spot on the beach and just decided to stay there because he feels like he is enough ready for the new season, but after some days some old lady came over to ask around because she had recognized him from newspapers missing person's page, and this way Aberg knew that he had to clear all the things about his disappearance.
  9. Omi Aberg this year was a part of the Ottawa Lynx organization, but his future with the team is unclear, because of the former GM moving to VHL and Aberg being eligible for the VHLM draft, but he is keeping himself busy this year with World Juniors Championships. He was picked to be a part of Team World and he is hoping to bump up his stock just a little bit before the VHL and VHLM drafts. Aberg said that WJC helps him to take his mind off the upcoming drafts and he can concentrate on something else that is not draft-related. He already met his teammates and even played 2 scrimmage matches before the tournament. Aberg is one of the more younger players but in Omi's case, maybe, newer because in age Aberg is not even a little young. There was some fallout on VHL media, that 50-year-old man can participate in the junior tournament but Aberg hasn't played more than the number of seasons than other junior players, that's why he is a junior too and can be in the tournament. Aberg said, that he hopes to play however the coach wants him to be because he would love to add a World Juniors Championship on his biography. When Aberg was asked to describe his own team World, he said - they are a bunch of hard-working players that won't back down from any challenges. There is a mix of more experienced players and also some young and gun guys that can score a quick goal and get back on defense as nothing has happened. Aberg also said that General Manager has done an amazing job in constructing this team because he understands that he had a lot of players to choose from, but he chose the perfect balance of offensive and defensive players. Team World is expected to be playing physical and offensive hockey that every team will be afraid to face. They want to be as annoying to each opponent as they can be. Team World has already played 2 pretournament games and it has had mixed results. They have gone 1-1, but the one really interesting thing that we have seen in Team World matches is aggressiveness and a lot of penalty minutes and fights. Team World doesn't back down even in friendly games that don't mean anything. Who knows what will happen in the tournament, but one thing is for sure that Team World will probably have the most penalty minutes in the whole tournament. Maybe Team World is not gonna be the most likable team, but they will have some damn fun playing the villains in the tournament, but sometimes people live to love more the villains than the good guys, that's why Aberg doesn't worry about it at the start - he thinks they will earn every fan's heart and every fan of the tournament will be cheering for the Team World to make a big upset and win it all! It is coming home and this time it will be TEAM WORLD! GO GO GO!
  10. HELLO EVERYONE MY DEAR OLD FRIENDS! I HAVE GOOD NEWS FOR PTYRELL OR ADVANTAGE BECAUSE BOTH OF THEM OR ONE OF THEM IS GOOD!

  12. HELLO! Ricer, Doomsday or BigAl is evil. sunny
  13. After 10 long years I feel like I would like to get a chance for a job in VHL. I think this would be fun and I feel like it is time to try something new! 1. What management experience, if any, do you have? I don't have any management experience, but I have had some great GM's and AGM's in my career, Big Al was great AGM in Miami and Ricer was awesome GM, dlamb is a pretty cool dude too, so I have some role models to go for. 2. What qualities do you have that make you a good fit for the role? I am quick learner, so I would be able to learn everything I need to know pretty quick and I can hype the team up too! 3. What do you think is the most difficult part of being a VHL GM? From former experience, managing all of the players happiness. Everyone wants more ice time or play in a better team but the most hardest thing is to make them happy in their team that they are playing in.
  14. Goodmorning, Barzal or Rory is good!
