  1. It's hard for me to compete with other great graphics, but decided to try my 2nd graphic to create my prediction, that my buddy Bogdan will win Christian something award, basically for rookies! So this is my theme week also!
  2. 1. Every week choose one player - the most active person in the league either as earning or any other way and just spotlight his involvement in the league. 2. Create some events, like at Sunday there are some party games that could help unite all of the people in the league. Other days it could be graphics battle's, the sky is the limit! 3. Create a role that is for helping younger players, I know for a fact at the start I was really overwhelmed and I didn't really know who to ask for some help at what to do, so someone who is designed to do that and help out would be really great.
  3. D.C DRAGONS PRESS CONFERENCE For the week ending August 22th! 1. This week we had 6 game win streak, but we have fallen off a little bit at the end of the week. How important is it to be consistent during the regular season? 2. Our starting goalie Malone @WentzKneeFan036had to make 65 saves in the game against Vancouver Wolves to get us a win. What do we have to improve, so we could make his job easier? 3. Groovy Dood @bigALis 53 points away from being the D.C Dragon's all-time leader in points. How close do you think he will be after this season? 4. There are a lot of conspiracy theories, some stupid and some interesting, but what conspiracy theory do you believe? 5. What do you prefer to drink in the morning - tea or coffee? 6. Video game that you could play over and over again?
  4. Omi Aberg, one of the Miami Marauders offensive leaders, has been nominated for an award - Biggest Breakout Star. And this award is given by a journal "Over50Sportsmen". Aberg is 50 years old and is living his dream, being a professional hockey player. Not a lot of people that age can tell that they are living their dream life when they are 50. Aberg said, that he feels very happy about his award and he will be a role model for other older people, who want to live their dreams too, like other people, and show that age is just a number. On Twitter people have been praising Aberg for his wonderful speech and people on the internet have already started to chant his name for some other awards.
  5. 1. Currently we have the second most goals scored in the NA conference, but also the most let in. Is it a defensive or goaltending problem? Well, I feel like it is a team issue, because forwards are ones to be blamed too, they are 3 players on ice at that moment too, and they need to be better defenders. 2. Of the VHLE teams which one is your favourite? I think my favorite is the Berlin team, logo was pretty interesting. 3. If you got sent back in time to the age of the dinosaurs, could you eat a whole dinosaur in two weeks? Whatever extra conditions are up to you. Oh boy, I probably wouldn't eat it in a year, in two weeks? No way, they are massive. 4. Trade deadline is coming up soon, would you like to see the team make any moves? We are young teams, I don't really see why we would need more trades. 5. If you could swap bodies with anyone on the team who would it be? Probably Z, he is the one dude I know the most in the team. 6. If your player was a pokemon what pokemon would they be? My old cat's name was Pikachu, and that's my favorite one, so probably Pikachu!
  6. Alright, my first try creating a graphic, it took me few hours to do everything, but I wanted to not too overthrow it with effects. I feel like I did better with this graphic then some other people, but yeah, I hope graphic people leave me alive. ;s
  7. D.C DRAGONS PRESS CONFERENCE For the week ending August 15th! 1. Our defenseman Mann @Mikescored a hat-trick against Seattle Bears and Welch @Juice scored 2 goals too. Are sniper-defensemen a part of our team's identity now? 2. Groovy Dood @bigALis leading our team in goals and points, but he isn't getting any younger. Do you think he can keep this up For bigAL - Do you think you can keep up this productivity? 3. D.C has got only one forward resigned - Groovy Dood. Would this be the right time for a re-tool of our offense? 4. Movie that was so bad, you couldn't even finish it watching? 5. Android or iOS? 6. What is one thing that you can beat everyone in it?
  8. Interesting article to read! I really like how you chose a game from the week and really scouted it. You made me interested into this game, even though I don't even play for any of these teams. The text looks fresh and easy to read. Picture could have been bigger, but it is awesome job from you and you should keep this up! 10/10
  9. Nice article, I like how you made it in seperate stories. It made interesting to read couple of short stories that tied each of them together. I would recommend you to add some pictures, it would make it seem more profesional! But great job with this great media spot! 9.5/10
  10. 1. Aike van Giersbergen got their first career shutout against Helsinki! How did the team celebrate? IT IS TIME FOR SOME BEER PONG! 2. 5 of our top 6 forwards are above point per game, what words of encouragement do you have for @Zetterberg who is the odd one out? (note: read carefully it is a different question :P) It can always be worse.... 3. What's your players spirit animal? Zebra, because people spend way too long to watch how I play. 4. Your player just got secretly recorded talking smack about @fonziGG, what'd they say? He mostly talked about his ears. Those goddamn ears. 5. Our starting goalie Markus Emerson Jr. recently announced he'll be retiring after next season in this post, what are you going to miss most about him? Didn't really got to know him, but we will 100% miss his great saevs. 6. Our team mascot called in sick, who's filling in for them? Fonzi is going to be jumping from the bench to the mascot outfit after periods.
  11. Omi Aberg, who was just drafted in Houston a few weeks ago has been involved in the mass sale from Houston, and he got traded to Miami. Aberg was struggling with his level of play in Bulls, where he earned 22 points in 30 games and also -21. He has been traded to Miami Marauders and Aberg has already played the first few games. In 4 games in Marauders jersey, he has got 7 points and +- of +4. It looks like Aberg has found his place in Miami, and some sources have said that this sale has been because of the change of management in Houston and there are going to be big changes in Bulls. It will be interesting to follow Aberg on Marauders and also what will Houston Bulls do with their team because they have sold everything for future assets.
  12. Since I joined VHL almost a year and a half ago, interestingly I haven't had a job in VHL. I have been a lone wolf and just been going from team to team just doing my job, getting those TPE, and getting the goals for my teams. I have burned out of VHL and I have had insane fun. But this time I decided to try it and applied for a job in D.C. Previous AGM, Big Al @bigAL went on to be a commish and I have known Enorama @Enorama for some time too, so I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to get my feet wet and try something different and new in VHL. The job sounds pretty easy - you just have to make some press conferences, talk with people and be a right hand to the GM, and I thought that it was something I can do (I can). After the VHL draft, Eno sent me a message and he told me that you're hired, kid. Not exact words, but something close to that. I have always told everyone, that I won't get any jobs in VHL, because they don't quite interest me and, honestly, I was never even that into those jobs, but this time I wanted to change this up and try this. D.C is a cool team, never quite played for it, but I felt like I know that team better than most of the other VHL teams, mostly because of Eno talking about D.C. When I joined D.C I felt at home - there were very cool people - Juice @Juice, who is such a cool dude and always really nice, how could you not love Juice? eagles @WentzKneeFan036, my secret, not so secret lover , Big Al. He was my first AGM and a goddamn legend too. He and Ricer @Ricer13 made Miami the most fun place in the VHL at the time. And of course the rest of the awesome players too. This free agency we acquired Jiggs @JigglyGumballs too, he is really cool also, too bad he is a weeb though. So in short, we have a really fun squad, but we also know how to win games sometimes. 100% real picture, that shows my love for D.C! Remember how I said that this job is easy? Well, not really. Here I was, answering all of those press conference questions in 2 minutes and not really thinking too hard for those answers, but now I have to think of these questions. Here I am sitting on Monday evening, watching some videos and debating in my head if this question is good, how could I answer that question. It usually becomes an hour to think of 6 simple questions, that someone will spend a few minutes answering, but I am not even complaining. I enjoy this and it makes me fulfill one of my dreams - being something similar to a journalist. My first few weeks have been interesting and refreshing, and I hope to have a nice time in D.C with the boys! Go D.C and let's get some wins now!
  13. D.C DRAGONS PRESS CONFERENCE For the week ending August 8th! 1. This week has been tough for us, in the last 5 games we have only picked up one win. When should we start worrying about it? 2. In NA Conference the difference between first place and last place is 9 points, compared to EU Conference where there are 19 points. Do you think NA teams keep up this consistency or the difference at the end of the season between first and the last place will be much bigger? 3. What teams in your opinion are going to be our biggest competitors for a playoff spot? 4. One food that most people love but you hate? 5. Wildest dream that you have ever had? 6. How many alarms do you usually need to wake up in the morning?
  14. Great idea on breaking down and reviewing a trade. I think that is pretty original and you did great. I liked how you used colours, it makes it easier to understand what you are thinking. Usually I would say, that you need a picture, but in this case I don't think it would have been better with pictures. 10/10
  15. I like how you used a lot of statistics in your media, it helps it easier to understand what you mean. I like how you create a story and you stay with it. You made a lot of paragraph's and it makes it easier to read the text. You could have made the picture a little bit smaller, but other than that, very good job! 9.5/10
  16. 1. We are currently 3rd place in the NA conference and outperforming expectations, do you think we can keep it up? Of course we can! We have awesome team and we will only get better with each day, because we are a really young team. 2. 5 of our top 6 forwards are above point per game, what words of encouragement do you have for @MexicanCow123 who is the odd one out? Yikes. 3. What crime would your player get arrested for? Probably dealing drugs. 4. What's a fun fact about your player? My player is 50 years old and is playing in junior's league. 5. If you were going to relocate the Wolves, where would you put them? In Sibiria, I think there are a lot of wolves. 6. Who's the better Reinhart? Tyler or Jerome? I don't know, aren't they twins? I am going to choose one with eyes closed. Ok, it's Tyler!
  17. Omi Aberg this year is a part of the Houston Bulls organization and he is excited to be playing his last season in the VHLM. He has said that as much as he enjoys playing in VHLM and meeting new people that he has not ever heard of them, he can't wait when he can go to other leagues and is pretty sure the next league for Aberg's career is going to be VHLE. The league will be introduced next season and Aberg will be one of those youngsters that will try this new league that hopefully in the future be the big stepping stone for other prospects. Aberg himself has said, that he is excited about new opportunities and he hopes that he will enjoy his new team. He has already been drafted by Vancouver Wolves, so it is expected that he will make his way to Vancouver in the near future too, but first, he has to do some other work - finishing his season with Houston and getting through VHLE. His final VHLM season hasn't started the best way, the team is the last of the whole league and individually Aberg has -14 in 20 games, but he keeps his head up and wants to impress his GM by working the hardest and not talking the most. Aberg has said - "I believe in Bulls and I believe in our team. I think we can still continue fighting, but we need to figure out our game and personality. We need to make the first step to the victory and not wait for it to come to us.". Aberg got drafted in the 2nd round, 18th overall to Bulls and it is pretty easy to see, that he won't be winning his VHLM cup because if Houston doesn't make any sudden changes, they will be stuck in the lower places. Aberg right now has been putting all his focus on Houston, because that's where he plays right now and he doesn't think about his future. But if you would look into the future - Vancouver Wolves are doing great - 3rd place in North American Conference, with a young core and strong young players coming up to the system (ehem Omi Aberg). For the Wolves, the sky is the limit, because the team is playing great now and the future is looking even brighter than it is right now. Some scouts have compared this team to some of the greatest VHL teams, but there have been a lot of hyped and strong young teams that have been hyped to win everything multiple times, but in the end, nothing happens. That's why you have to choose the words carefully and the future will show - will Vancouver be the juggernaut that the potential of the team is showing. Omi Aberg has said multiple times - "There is not a team that I would rather be than Vancouver Wolves. Team is young and full of good vibes. We are going to have fun winning a lot of championships with this core when I get there!". Vancouver will be the team to watch for in the future!
  18. Omi Aberg last night finally showed off his potential - he scored 1 goal and earned an assist in a close win over Yukon Rush. Omi Aberg in the past weeks has been struggling with consistency and just couldn't get anything going for himself, but this game will give a lot of energy and hopefully Omi Aberg and Houston Bulls will be able to go on a streak and win some more games. Bulls is a team with potential, but they have been really struggling and it seems like they are just getting really unlucky. This game will hopefully change everything and the curse will be over!
  19. D.C DRAGONS PRESS CONFERENCE For week ending August 1st! 1. The season is underway, we are in 2nd place in the tight North American conference. What do you think about the season's start? 2. 6 of our 7 losses have been in overtime and shootouts. What are we lacking, that we can't finish those close games? 3. Kristof Welch in his first season with Dragons has 17 points and he is ranking in 2nd place for most points as a defenseman. How important it is for our team to have good offensive defensemen? 4. The Olympics are going strong right now! Are you watching it and which nation are you cheering for? 5. Last song that was stuck in your head for far too long? 6. What do you like more - summer or winter?
  20. I really like how you create a backstory about your player, what happens with him behind the scenes, when he is not trying to score as much goals as possible. I really enjoyed how you made quotes, that your player said, it gives the text more personality. I would have liked for you to add some pictures, that would give a break for eyes from reading the text and it could liven the text up. But other then that very interesting media spot! 9/10
  21. Congratulations on getting drafted! Hopefully you have a lot of fun in Malmo. I liked that you divided into paragraphs the text, it made it very easy to read. I would recommend putting some pictures in some spaces or changing the color or make bold or italic words, so the text doesn't seem like a block of text. I really liked to hear your thoughts and keep these kind of articles coming! 8.5/10
  22. 1. We recently picked the Reinhart brothers 2nd and 3rd overall. Do you think they can live up to the hype? (I initially called them the Jerome brothers whooooops) They should! There is a reason that they were drafted in TOP3, they need to live up to the hype! 2. Your player was recently seen in a scandal, what was it? I sold drugs. 3. Who's your favourite person in the VHL? @WentzKneeFan036and it's not even close! 4. If you had to build a superhero team of VHL or VHLM players, who would be on it? Lamb, Dood, Malone, Aberg and probably Sens. 5. Who's going to win the cup this season? The strongest team in the league! 6. Do you remember what it was like to be a VHL rookie? What's one mistake that you made? I took VHL too seriously and it became a chore, hopefully I will learn from it!
