  2. Awesome article. I really like how you create a small story for every game, it helps the reader to really get into the text. I really like how big the article is and it is really interesting to read your work. I would recommend you to put some more pictures in, because it looks like block of text and it would help to make some breaks. All in all, very good job! 9/10
  3. Cool article, it is interesting to read your stories about your player and it helps to build those back stories of players. I like, how you make the quotes show from the rest of the text. One problem is, that on black theme the text is very dark, but it's not your problem. I would recommend you to put some pictures, because it would help the text be more interesting and refreshing. 8.5/10
  4. Omi Aberg, Ottawa Lynx center has recently gotten into a little Facebook drama over with some Karen's. He has decided to give away some of his sticks to children under 12 years old, and some rude mothers commented that this is discrimination over older kids and that their 16-year-old kid also deserves a stick. Aberg immediately shut down these comments and told them, if they want to get those sticks, they could buy them, but sadly it just added some fuel to the fire, because Karen's brought a hell of a lot of new Karen's to his profile and then they started a full-blown fight with Aberg. They have gotten a "lawyer" and they are ready to go to court to fight for this case. Aberg just laughed at them and blocked them. Who would have known that giveaways will be such a difficult thing for Karen?
  5. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE WEEK ENDING JULY 4, 2021 3 for 1 TPE, 6 for 2 TPE (not all 7 required) 1. How is the offseason going for you? What have you been doing? Offseason has been pretty long and boring, just can't wait for the draft and new season. I have just been chilling and watching a lot of tennis. 2. What position would your next player be (if you were to make one)? I just made a new one, but probably a defenseman, because I have had 2 forwards already. 3. What is your go-to breakfast on game days? I don't eat breakfast so probably nothing. 4. VHL player you model your game after? Not really any VHL player, I just want to be strong and talanted big C player. 5. Canadiens or Lightning? Who do you think will win? Well, it's 3-0 up Lightning, so I am going to say that Lightning is going to win this. 6. What is a hobby of yours? I like to play a lot of sports games, voleyball probably favorite one. 7. Anything fun you’ve done recently? I have watched A LOT OF tennis, so that is fun for me :D.
  6. Omi Aberg, one of the hottest youngsters in this year's VHL and VHLM draft has recently arrived in North America and held a press conference in which he answered multiple journalist questions. Aberg was asked about his rookie season with Ottawa Lynx, also about his future and other interesting stuff. Omi Aberg at the start answered a couple of questions about his rookie season with Ottawa Lynx, he told, that Lynx GM Dakota Lamb is one of the most professional people that he has ever worked with (well, his first staff too) and said, that he wouldn't be surprised, that he would become the new Warshaw Predators General Manager because he is that good. He also described his first season in the league as a fun, new and challenging experience, because he had to adapt to a quick and young VHLM game style and he is grateful, that he got to meet so many new people, that he will love to play with and against in the future. He thanked his captain Bogdan Trunov, for keeping the team in line, and even though Ottawa didn't get in playoffs, he would love to return there next season. Later he answered some questions about the draft and he told the media, that he doesn't have a team, that he wouldn't want to play in, but he also expressed, that he would love to return to Ottawa next season. Obviously, he can't really choose his next VHLM or VHL team, because he is getting drafted, but he loved playing in Ottawa this past season. When he got asked about VHL, he told that there are a lot of nice teams and he would love to play in each and one of them and his main goal in his career is to help his team in whatever way he can. Omi Aberg is going to be picked in VHL and VHLM drafts in the same season. It is going to be fun off-season for him, and probably a very busy one too. When asked about pre-draft interviews Aberg said, that he has already had few interviews, but nothing too big. He expects for it to pick up few days before the drafts. He said that he will attend the drafts live, and he will be attending some pre-draft workouts to show around to a couple of teams. Aberg is going to be hot property, that a lot of teams will be going for. The last part of the interview was about his future, he told that he has been working with Oh Sens this summer and it has helped him to turn his work into 6th gear and he has been really happy with his progress. He doesn't want to go for the hall of fame or some huge stats, he just wants to be the hardest working player on the ice and he will leave absolutely everything on the ice every time when he steps on the ice. Omi Aberg wants to do everything so the name Aberg means hard work. He is ready to prove it to everyone, starting now!
  7. Omi Aberg widely around VHL and also his homeland is known as the center for Ottawa Lynx, but in this offseason, he has mostly hung around his home, in islands that no one can say their name. Recently there were elections, where they elected his hometown's mayor and even though Aberg officially didn't declare that he will be running for mayor, but he posted a sneaky post on his social media accounts, to vote for him and people did it. Aberg earned 3rd place in the elections and he needed few more votes to get 2nd place. After that, Aberg clarified, that he didn't want to be the mayor, it was a joke and he wasn't running for it seriously, but he thanked his supporters and promised that after he is done with his hockey career, he will return and become the mayor.
  8. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE WEEK ENDING JUNE 27, 2021 Answer 3 for 1 TPE, 6 for 2 TPE. 1. We have officially been eliminated from playoff contention. What, in your mind, went wrong? I feel like we are really young team and we just didn't have enough star power to out-perform the rest of the teams, but we will come back even stronger. 2. What is something you enjoyed about Ottawa? I enjoyed my teammates, they were always supportive and they weren't giving up. We were hoping for the best right until last day of the season and that tells a lot about team spirit. 3. For players likely staying (already drafted in VHLM, under 250 TPE), what do you look forward to most next season, and what do you hope to accomplish with the Lynx? For players likely leaving (waiver signings, or leaving the M), what do you hope to do with another team, either in the VHLM or VHL? I will be eligable for VHLM and VHL draft, so that will be fun, but I hope to win this VHLM cup and I want to just help out my team, whatever team that picks me. 4. Which goalie should win the Vezina Trophy? Andrei Vasilevskiy, Marc-Andre Fleury, or Philipp Grubauer? I don't really follow, but probably Vasilevski, because he is pretty goddamn good. 5. For undrafted players, do you want to play in the North American Conference or European Conference of the VHL? For drafted players, would you rather spend your whole career with one team, or move about the league? I would prefer playing in European Conference, because I spent almost all of my previous VHL career in NA Conference. 6. Favorite car? Don't really have one, but I would choose something comfy over something beautiful. 7. Who was our MVP this season, in your opinion? Probably our captain Bogdan, he did good as a captain and this team will miss him next season.
  9. Aberg has finished his first VHLM season with Ottawa Lynx and sure - it wasn't the most successful rookie season, because he picked up -43 and only 47 points, but he gained really important experience. He was signed after the draft, that's why this off-season will be double important because he will have to attend the VHLM draft and also the VHL draft. Aberg is a bit anxious about these drafts because they will impact Omi's future and where he will be playing. Aberg is getting ready to attend multiple pre-draft camps, to show around to other teams in VHLM and VHL. He is determined to train this off-season with Oh Sens, Riga Reign forward, who has decided to retire this season. Sens has played in VHL multiple seasons and has always been his team's one of the leaders. He spent most of his season in Toronto and he sees a lot of himself in Aberg. They will be training in Japan and they will be practicing on ice and off-ice. Sens has always been known for his quick skating and unbelievable balance, and hopefully, Aberg will be able to pick up a couple of things from the Sens game and improve his own game. This season in Ottawa has been pretty difficult too because their starting goalie sadly disappeared in a field of corn and no one can find him anymore, that's why Lynx has gone into mourning and they are hoping to find a replacement this season. Oh, Sens in his career has had a lot of disappearances too, like Andre LeBastard in Miami Marauders in his first 2 seasons. Andre was a captain and a part of Marauders team and name, but he went into that scary field and never came out. Sens will have some words of encouragement and some tips to make Aberg be stronger physically and mentally. Omi is quite old but he still is trying to find ways to improve himself, even with most small details, those other youngsters could ignore, Aberg wants to do them perfectly because there are all the right people around him and they know what VHL and VHLM teams will want for him. Young kids may think that they only care about statistics and how good physically you are, but actually, there goes much more in - how good of a teammate you are and if you are easily coachable, but those are things, that you can't really impact it, because that is how you are taught hockey and how you are. Aberg is trying to change things that he can change, so he is one of the only prospects, who is working with a psychologist, who helps Aberg settle up his mind and get ready for his big moments. It really helps him concentrate on the game and maybe that's why Aberg sometimes is even better in tight, stressful game situations than calm and not pressured situations, for example, early in the game. In his career, he will have to learn how to balance these things, but Aberg is looking really good for the short career that he has had already.
  10. wtf ottawa one night stand?
  11. Omi Aberg has just announced that he will have new personal sponsors, who will help him get better. He is an Ottawa Lynx player and usually, these young players don't get their own sponsors, but this time he was able to get a deal done with "OverSword", a sports gear company, that will gear him up for the rest of his fights on the ice. Aberg was really happy with his deal and in a short interview with journalists, he said that this was all a sudden deal and he just received an offer last night, and today he is the new face of the company. He will attend multiple events, that will attract more fans to the company and also to him. This will be an interesting deal to see, for Aberg and also for the company "OverSword", because people have already been talking, that Aberg is too unpopular and they should have gone with someone more popular.
  12. Omi Aberg is one of the Ottawa Lynx leaders in the center position. He is a gritty, hard-working center, who likes to create some trouble for the opponent's defense. Aberg will be eligible to pick in the next draft, so scouts have been looking at this youngster/oldster, because he is 50 years old, for a good while. There are a lot of good things about Omi Aberg, but there are also some not so good. HOT - Defense Aberg is a so-called two-way forwards. He will leave everything out in offense, but will always skate as fast as possible back to defense, so there wouldn't be any stupid goals to be let in. He doesn't give up in defense, he will stand in front of any shots the opposing team will make, it doesn't matter if it's a weak wrist shot or hard one-timer. He will be there and he won't let the other team score. He is very quick on defense and he has excellent hockey IQ - he sees all passing lines and he can intercept them and lead his team to fastbreak. NOT - Puck Handling Aberg is awesome in offense, well in some way. He can move to the front of the net and he is talented there. He can tip some pucks, or make passes from the front or just take away the goalie's vision, but Aberg is not at that point, where he can lead his offensive rushes. His puck handling is shockingly bad and he should focus on that in the next off-season. Well, the good news is for the next Aberg team or other scouts, that this skill he will probably learn to get better at. He should get some expert puck handlers, like Dakota Lamb, who are known to lead their offensive rushes and they are a pain in the ass to defense because no one can take the puck off them. Aberg can bring other things to the table, but sadly not puck handling at this time of the year. HOT - Creativity One thing that Aberg really has - creativity in defense and offense. If you give him the puck, he will act fast. The good thing about him is, that he has got everything in his book to help him do everything. He has great shots, that can beat any goalie in the league, but also accurate and quick pass, which can lead to some dangerous shots and even goals. From watching Aberg play, you can tell he spends so much less time with the puck than other centers in the league. It is sometimes bad, and sometimes good. It shows that he is a quick thinker and he will find a way quickly to make any situation work. Even in defense, he can put a quick pass to other wingers, which can lead to some dangerous rushes. Aberg is a really dangerous player even without a puck, he fills the line perfectly and he is always there, where he needs to be. Omi Aberg will be picked pretty highly in this draft and he will be trying to show everyone his A-game every night in the upcoming VHLM games, to show the VHL GM's to pick him instead of other players.
  13. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE WEEK ENDING JUNE 20, 2021 1. Has this season gone as you would've hoped for your player? More or less. I would want to be more active in locker room, but life is busy but I am trying my best, but player wise it's coming along really well. 2. For Season 79 draftees, have you received any interviews yet from VHL teams? For drafted players, what do you hope to accomplish in the VHL with your team, and when do you think you'll go up? I have gotten 1 interview, so I am not the hottest fish in the market, I guess. 3. What's been the best part of the VHL (game overall) for you so far? Just interacting with other fun people that are in the league, learning more about these people. 4. Who do you want to win the Stanley Cup of the remaining teams (Golden Knights, Canadiens, Islanders, Lightning)? I guess Canadiens, love their story and Knights are poopy. 5. What do you enjoy doing now that summer is almost officially here? I love swimming, because I am all about that water life, love being underwater, that great feeling. 6. Favorite music band? Don't really have one, but if I would have to name one it would probably be The Avalanches, their music is pretty chill.
  14. Omi Aberg is Ottawa Lynx young center, he is being crazy on ice but also off the ice. A few days ago there was a big story running, how some person in Ottawa's streets saved a woman when she went for a run but got followed by some weird men. This person turns out to be Omi Aberg and he walked this poor woman back home to her own house, where she was back in safety, and called the police. In the end, it turns out those weird men were her husband and his friends, who just wanted to take this woman's husband home to her, but actually she got scared from them and started running. It's good that it ended like that and everyone can look back at that and laugh about it and not have a bad accident happen to someone. Aberg still got a lot of media attention today, but he said that he did what everyone would have done - danger or not danger, help fellow citizens out.
  15. VHLE - the new edition of VHL. There are a lot of new players coming into the league and frankly there just isn't enough space for everyone. There is a lot of unknown right now and all we can do is speculate! The middle road between VHLM and VHL. Right now young players, that make it to 250 TPE have to go to VHL in the next season. Usually, when you go in VHL you are pretty bad with your 250 TPE and just rack up 10 or a couple more points and it could be demoralizing because, in the end, we want our players to do great and be the best players, but without work, there is no chance that we get it. Now, with VHLE these low TPE players have got a chance to play with their level of players and hopefully be more competitive than they would be in the big league, where all the leaders have got four times more TPE than yourself and you get heavily outmatched. With this middle-league, there will be a higher level of play in the big league - VHL, but the difference of the players will be much smaller than it is right now, so that means the games will be tighter and there won't be long rebuilds and teams will be able to get better faster, because of the smaller difference of the best players and worst players in the league. VHLE? VHLE teams Well, it's already known, that there are going to be 6 new VHLE teams and this time, interestingly, they won't be new teams, but actually, teams, that once were a part of VHL, but were retired. This is a chance to rebirth these teams cultures and something interesting because we are used to rhythm - if there is a new team, it's a completely new team and these old teams with rich history and beautiful graphics are getting buried in the ground, that's why these teams will get resurged. Also, a lot of newer players, also me, would love to know and learn more about the history of VHL, and getting back these older teams will make it more interesting to find some historic information about these teams and players will be interested to break some team records, just like players likes to do it in the newer teams. The latest example is Miami Marauders, where 1st season players even got their own awards that were awarded for the next batch of players, but I am not sure if they are still awarded after Kris Ricer left the GM spot in Miami. VHLE will be an interesting project that will hopefully open up more spots for newer players to find their way in the big league because sometimes there just isn't enough space for everyone and getting 6 more teams, where players will be able to develop will hopefully help the league out and it will be better placed for everyone in VHL, VHLM and soon in VHLE too. It will be fun to see new storylines and rivalries made in VHLE. CLAIMING ALSO FOR THE THEME WEEK
  16. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE Week Ending June 13, 2021 As always, answer 3 for 1 TPE and 6 for 2 TPE. 1. Theme week is upon us, and this season's theme is the VHLE. What do you plan on doing, either an article or graphic, etc.? This is a great opportunity to get 6 capped TPE as well as 6 uncapped for 1 point task! I plan on writing an article, not sure about what right now, but I am confident that something will come to my mind. 2. We have lost our playoff spot to Mexico City -- for now. Do you think we could make an unexpected run this year if we secure a spot down the stretch? Anything is possible, just like in my first Miami year, we almost beat 1st place when we were in 8th. We took them to 7 games. 3. This week is also trade deadline week. Any suggestions (general) on what you might like to see happen? Any needs, etc.? I feel like we shouldn't try to make big trades, because we are growing and the big season will be the next one when all of our players will be in peak form. 4. For undrafted players, what is your dream team to go to in the VHL? For drafted players, how much are you looking forward to playing in the VHL, with the franchise that drafted you? I don't really have one. I just want to go to a team that is fun and friendly. 5. What's the ideal build of your player? In other words, where do you hope you'll get to eventually, either attribute-wise, or the type of player you want to be overall? I want to be a strong center, who could make himself be a big wall in front of goalies, so they don't see anything and sometimes redirect the shots. 6. What is your favorite movie of all time, or your favorite movie genre? My favorite movie or at least one of them is Interstellar, I just like anything about space.

    RIGA HERE WE COME
  18. Omi Aberg really is a phenomenon - he is playing junior hockey with mostly teens while being 50, but like Aberg has said - age is just a number. Aberg started his career very late. He dreamed of being the best hockey player in the world, the only problem is, that this dream started a few years ago. Aberg lives in Saint Helena, Ascension, and Tristan da Cunha and let's be honest - who knows where it is. One day Aberg was surfing the internet and he discovered highlights of some old soviet match and he was hooked at the first moment. He wanted to be a hockey player. The only problem is, that most of the hockey players at his age have already retired, but he planned to prove everyone wrong. He found his old yoga teacher and they started working on his physical game. He knew, that he couldn't get ice there and who would know how to play hockey, and that's why he moved to Sweden, mostly because of his last name, and he felt like he could gain some trust there. He didn't know where to start, but he found there Pontus Aberg, who helped him out and found a trainer, that worked with Omi for 2 years and he was ready for something really bigger - SSL. Swedish Sunday League was the next step for Aberg and he did pretty well, 3 points in 60 games and well, Pontus Aberg thought, that it was time for him to step in. Pontus saw something that others didn't see - potential into Omi, and that is why Pontus Aberg decided to take one season rest from his professional hockey career and help his surname brother out. They trained together all year and played in some local tournaments all around the year and Omi was playing better and better each game. Omi improved in all aspects and he was ready for something bigger. He joined the Swedish 2nd league and took it by storm and scored 50 goals in 30 games to be the best sniper of the Swedish league. He was ready. It was time to move over the ocean to the big league - VHL and he missed the VHLM draft, but that didn't stop Aberg from joining VHLM. He decided that Ottawa is the best place to take his talents further and here we are. Aberg is ready to start his young career and the sky is the limit for this old player.
  19. Omi Aberg is a youngster from islands that no one has ever heard about and nobody knows what is hockey there, but he has started his career pretty well and few mock drafts have already predicted Aberg's place in the 1st round. Still, there is a long way for Aberg's draft and he still has to prove himself for few seasons, but the start has been really good. He has put up 20 points in 35 games but for a rookie, those are pretty good numbers. Aberg usually on ice prefers to pass the puck, so scouts would like Aberg to take the matter into his own hands more often, and be more active on ice. If Aberg could fix his cons and improve his strengths, he could be one of the most impressive talents in the season's 79th draft, where there will be quite a few stars and a couple of teams would like to take a chance at this youngster.
  20. OTTAWA LYNX PRESS CONFERENCE WEEK ENDING JUNE 6, 2021 1. Just yesterday, we sent two very good players, defender Kirby Pandora and center Jlloyoid Blloyoiderson to Halifax for a 1st, 2nd, and 4th round pick. Thoughts on this trade? We are a young team with a lot of our future in front of us. I think this trade will work out for us in the future, because our GM Dlamb will be able to find some really good young players that will help our team succeed next couple of seasons, because this season is development season for all of us. 2. We lost to Philly today, 3-1, but did beat Mexico City, 5-3. Some games our offensive game shines, while others our defense prevails. What aspect, offense or defense, has been better overall this season, in your opinion? What part of our game can improve? I feel like our offense has been good, but we are young guys and we sometimes forget to get back in defense. We can improve on that! 3. What do you think of your development as a player? Would more detailed TPE instruction help anyone out at all? I have a little experience with these things, so I feel like I have been doing just fine. Would want more activity from myself, but it will be fine. 4. Currently we sit at 4th in the East, 6 and 7 points ahead of Miami and Mississauga, respectively. Do you think we can hold onto that last playoff spot? It will be quite difficult, because we are a really young team, and we have a lot of first year players and not really experience bunch. But I think if we try very hard and play with our head and not emotions we could do anything. 5. Have you ever visited another country? If so, where, and how was it? If not, where do you hope to travel to someday? I haven't been a big traveller, but I would love to visit some hotter countries, like Greece. I love hot weather! 6. What did you think of the Leafs surrendering a 3-1 series lead to Montreal? Reminds me, be sure to fill out your predictions for Round 2, Winnipeg vs Montreal (if you haven't): LOL Leafs suck and it is really funny. I like Habs and I hope they can continue their great run.
