Honestly the first games were posted July 12th, not even 3 weeks ago, and we’re basically halfway through the season. That definitely doesn’t feel insanely rushed to me, seems pretty on par for a decent time frame. Everyone loves to say that they want to rush through everything but they never like what comes after so why bother rushing? “The regular season is boring, let’s get to the playoffs” followed by “half the teams aren’t even playing, let’s get to the off-season” followed by “this is taking too long, where are the sims? Let’s get to the Season”. Speeding things up won’t change how things work. ~6 weeks/ regular season isn’t bad at all IMO. Cutting 2 weeks out per season means cutting out ~4.5 months over a full career; just seems like a good way to rush through careers to me and it means GM’s have less opportunity to make any kind of adjustments which is even more important for the VHLM GM’s who’s rosters are changing on a basically daily basis. I’m sure everyone will just scream “old guard” at me but honestly I think this is one of those “if it ain’t broke” kinda moments. There’s no logical reasoning aside from a minor amount of reduction in inflation which would be countered anyway.

It makes the next engine up go berserk but there isn’t much proof, if any, that it has negative effects on the current engine.

On occasion we do that, just depends how many games per day STHS wants to spit out. If I have back to back days with like 2 games I’ll throw a third one in.

Personally I don’t think there’s reason to offer incentive to join via a specific member instead of something like a reddit drive. You’d have that exact scenario if we had recruits gain TPE just for joining and putting a member name, doesn’t really seem fair.

You can but you won’t because you long ago decided that regardless of what we say you’re going to side with him; or at least that’s always how it’s looked. Here’s the issue with saying no one was defending him: he refused to act in a defensible way. Members of the blue team can’t tell people that are being shouted at, when the shouting was completely unprovoked, to just suck it up. That would be defending what he was doing. Believe it or not, I certainly know he didn’t, but we did what we could at the time. We enacted an entire set of rules against being assholes to each other which shouldn’t have needed to be said at all, we did our best to curb anyone antagonizing him or others, we generally tried to keep the peace. The problem was that people were very divided. Any argument, regardless which side we took, someone was bound to shout that we weren’t defending them and everyone in power was corrupt. We got it every day from both sides. There was no way anyone was going to be happy unless everyone calmed the fuck down which is what we were trying to get him to do but he made it perfectly clear that wasn’t going to happen. I defended him the best I could and gave him more shots to make the job easier than he deserved. If he had been able to contain himself even one ounce it could have been fine but every chance we have him to come back he just fought harder. I can’t defend that kind of behaviour. Honestly I wouldn’t even care. We have plenty who just show up, chat, do their welfare, and that’s it. We don’t need every member to be making our logos and banners and themes and everything else. The problem was not his decision to stop doing things for us, we have plenty of other means for that. The problem was that he decided to go from being a help to an actual detriment to the league. If he had just stopped helping out but wasn’t antagonizing everyone that would have been fine.

Fittingly with what I was about to say: Little known fact about @Nykonax, he has the attention span of a goldfish. That’s why he loves Discord so much, he can’t stand waiting more than 20 seconds for a new post.
