You definitely get hooked on the VHL over time. I’ve been around since day 1 which was 11 and a half years ago so it can really become part of your daily life. Really interesting to hear insight from someone new actually, even if you figured it wouldn’t be. And yes, you can make a sig for anyone in the league and have it count for a GFX. Doesn’t have to be for someone else.

Not sure. New index file is up. Could be because of CPU players crowding your team maybe? I’ll drop a couple for you and see what happens.

Tell me about it. I’ve had 7 games out of our last 9 with 0 points. I’m pretty much destroying my own chances at the Brooks.

The joys of the goalie market. I had the same with with Chekhov and nearly with Holik. There’s only 8 starting jobs and if teams trust their younger guy to get the job done they don’t want to put up the big money for a vet in net.

Ah, mob justice at it's finest that was. Still a shame really because Sharpe wound up with numbers that rival the HoF goalies from season 1. Without being behind by so much TPE he may have been able to make it into the Hall. Or at least compete for some awards. There's a whole 20 in 20 story about it if you're curious That whole series of articles is actually really interesting for anyone that wants a bit more of the backstory of the league that us old farts all remember and the new guys weren't a part of.

S63 Award Committee As mentioned when we announced the inaugural Award Committee, and when we have announce subsequent ones, members are only eligible to serve 3 consecutive seasons and General Manager's aren't eligible to serve on the Committee. As such, we have a few changes to make to the award committee for this season. First off, the removals. I would like to thank @diamond_ace (last season's chair), @Tagger, @Smarch, and @CowboyinAmerica who have all served their 3 season limit as well as @Devise who only served 1 season but is now a GM and thus ineligible. There's a lot of pressure on the award committee come off-season time and you all performed admirably in your regular duties as well as helping the BOG make decisions regarding the Defensive trophies and deciding the new All-VHL teams. Now, your Season 63 Award Committee will be: @Victor(Chairman) @omgitshim @.sniffuM @DollarAndADream* @Velevra* @TheLastOlympian07* @tfong* @BarzalGoat* * New Addition

They didn’t win the cup though, as good as their regular season was. Of course the legitimacy of that first cup is rather in question but whatever haha

Why do I keep agreeing to all these pesky theme weeks. Makes me need to actually fit a theme instead of just my usual incoherent ramblings. Anyway, this week if I want that sweet sweet bonus TPE I need to take about brands and shit so let's do that. Fun fact for those of you who don't know, the brands system we announced last season is a very different beast from where it started not long before. I don't recall exactly what it was (though I believe @Banackock originally brought it up) but it was basically just a little side thing that didn't do much. Some points got made and someone brought up a tournament with it which is where things exploded; especially once @Quik got involved. Anyway, you all know where it went. What's interesting is kinda where it all started more or less. See, back in the day we had the super cup which was awesome but also a major pain in the ass since we needed to draft teams for it every 2nd or third off-season (I don't remember how often it ran) and it would make the off-season drag on for way longer than it needed to. I kinda love the Sponsor's Shield for this reason. Because the "drafting" was all done in advance it means that we can get that sweet off-season glory we all want (to help hide all the boring off-season stuff those of us in blue are dealing with) without all the extra hassle. That's great and it should be a lot of fun. Unfortunately it also leads to the problem of all the hype kinda just...dying. Don't get me wrong, brands seemed hyped as hell when it all started but once they got set they kinda just disappeared. I guess that's the whole point of this theme week but still. I wonder if we don't need to figure out some kind of way to keep the hype train and rivalries and what-not going while the tournament itself isn't running. It's something to consider. With the Super Cup there was never hype outside the actual tournament but that's because we didn't know our teams until it was tournament time. I like the idea behind sponsor's more but if we only get a hyped event every 2 seasons and nothing with them the rest of the time it's bound to lose it's appeal. Anyway, I'm reserving my judgement, just figured I'd talk about it. What would you like to see done with the brands system to make it more interesting when a tournament isn't actively being run? P.S Haterade > All

@Enorama this would make a bit more sense with how your updates were looking I suppose. I’m guessing you’ll use the one I had edited in for next week? If so don’t update with those points, just let me know and I’ll make the proper edits.

As per the announcement, logo work requires at least 2 logos to count for the bonus.

Just a heads up as well: anyone who gets pay that replaces a PT (simmers, recruitment crew, etc) can claim the bonus with a PT if they’d like but they can also simply claim the bonus TPE in addition to their normal workload. For example, Recruitment crew pay is the full 12 so as long as they are earning that pay they can simply claim and additional uncapped 7 TPE bonus.
