The thing is people are freaking out about the “carbon tax” because it has the word tax in it but the truth is that our gas was literally more expensive last week before the tax increased because it fluctuates so wild normally so it isn’t making a substantial difference. Plus you get a quarterly rebate that pays it all back and then some so only really high polluters are losing money. People are still protesting it though because tax =

@Members Normally this would just go to the ban thread but given the circumstances I think it's best that everyone know what's going on. It has unfortunately come to the attention of myself and @Acydburn that @Josh has been embezzling league funds for his own purposes. Via his access to the league PayPal he was stripping donation funds as payments for portal, forum, and domain hosting with amounts far higher than were actually needed. Because the line items were things he was paying for we had no reason, for a number of years, to think anything of it and were unaware that the costs were actually far less than what he was reimbursing himself which amounts to potentially thousands of dollars; we're still working out the total figures. Obviously we are completely shocked at this behaviour and have immediately stripped Josh of his role as commissioner pending potential future legal action. We have always held firm that the league funds are used exclusively on league related activities so I am quite frankly pissed that a member of the blue team would take donation money for their own uses; whatever his excuses may be. Please be aware that we will be launching a further investigation and audit of all our costs and funds to be sure that no one else has done anything of the sort in the past. I mean I was being intentionally sarcastic but 9/10 times the answer is the HoF section.

The joys of being backup simmer, I have to actually do other tasks than just claiming job pay and being done with it for the week so here we are. 1. Had to do trivia for the first time in like a year. Both questions I found answers to in like a minute; clearly from this experience alone I can conclude that people are way too dramatic and trivia is easy. 2. DC is off to a monstrous start to the season at 15-3-0. I think there’s a certain amount of people that kinda looked at our cup win as a fluke last season (I know I was the only one to accurately predict it at the beginning of the playoffs) so hopefully we can break that stigma. Mind you winning the victory cup has been a curse the last several seasons so I also don’t want to win it. 3. Nice to see Calaway once again leading D scoring and currently on pace for 32 goals which is even better than last season. Was really hoping to take home a D award which obviously didn’t happen and I was worried that S92 was gonna be my performance cap so hopefully I can keep up this pace and get some hardware this year instead.

We should really add this line to the actual portal trade postings. The amount of times I've gone to process a trade and been confused by the player not being there is astounding.

It’s old news at this point really since our GM isn’t releasing new questions but whatever. How does it feel to be at the top? 2. Speaking of being at the top, we currently lead the league with an 11-3 record. What do you think has been the key to our early success? 3. The Frenchman currently has over 1 goal per game and is leading the league in points. What do you think was in the water in Rigs that was holding him back? 4. After a big win what’s your go to locker room snack or drink? 5. Have any teams surprised you with their success or failures this season? 6. The league recently made changes to bring goalie numbers down and scoring up. Do you think these efforts made sense / do you think they are working?

Small testing sample size (for time sake) combined with even smaller sample size of the current season. We have no reason to believe things won’t even out a bit as we expect them to and if they don’t and we feel it needs to be adjusted more we will.

Personally I always used my notes section on my update page for this. Basically just like: PH -> 70 SC -> 80 SK -> 80 PH -> 75 Its not as refined but it certainly works once you kinda know what you’re aiming for.
