While we still have quite a bit of time left in the season before the draft, Season 61 stars are already looking at VHL teams to see where they might want to end up. Ottawa Lynx star Matt Thompson, who is expected to be one of the top picks in the S61 draft, is no exception. While the winger has admitted he will gladly play for any team he also released his preferences of which teams he would prefer; if given the choice. The following is part 1 of that list; from least desired to most desired. _______ 8. Toronto Legion Nothing against the Legion per say, they are a great franchise and I loved my time there with Sokolov. While I'd love to play with @DollarAndADream again, ultimately I don't see it being possible with them not having a first round pick in this draft aside from NY’s which will likely end up being a rather late choice. I also think Toronto, unfortunately, sold themselves a little thin to try and get the cup; which sadly they did not manage to do. This has left them potentially in for a long rebuild. I'm not against helping a team win but I don't want to be stuck in a rebuild for my entire prime either. 7. Helsinki Titans The Titans have been proving themselves an interesting team for being able to compete when realistically they shouldn't be. Problem is, how long will it last? I think Helsinki is on the downward spiral of it's dominating performances over the past few seasons and this leaves me concerned about what kind of state the team will be in. As with Toronto, I'm worried about a lengthy rebuild potentially being on the horizon. 6. Riga Reign @hedgehog337 has dome some great stuff with Riga and honestly they seem like they would have a fun locker room to be apart of. Sadly they fall into the same "likely rebuilding soon" category as the above two. It has, however, been a very long time since I've played for Riga (I can't actually remember the last time) so that prospect is intriguing. 5. Seattle Bears Another for the pile of "I don't want to be rebuilding forever". Rumour has it the Bears might be blowing it all up after the current season. If that is false than I would love to jump right onto a winning Bears roster, especially since they are likely to have a top 2 pick in the upcoming draft via Toronto's pick. However I personally believe the rumour. I do love the way @Banackock runs his locker room and loved my time their with Holik so I wouldn't at all be disappointed with Seattle but I would likely want the rebuild to be a quick one. _______ So, there we have the bottom 4 destination options for Thompson. As was stated at the top, all destinations will be gratefully accepted; but ultimately some destinations are better than others. The remaining 4 teams to be ranked will come next week.

I'm going off the wall, gonna be Vegas vs. the Caps. Everyone has the Lightning but honestly I think the Capitals could finally take it this year. The Pens were always their hurtle. They can get out of their own heads now.

As long as you don’t mess around with anything too much it should be fine. Like just add up the points from the weeks you weren’t at the cap and add that many. I was kidding. Though it is more complicated Han just having everyone be exactly the same and obviously having everything be done the same.

Have you not been? Job pay goes to both players unless otherwise specified. Unrelated note I hate how complicated player 2 has to make everything haha

Who says changes are only for off-seasons? In our continued effort to improve the league we have made a couple of changes that will be implemented immediately to help improve the league. First among them, as you may have already noticed, is that the Practice Facility has changed slightly; both in name and function. The TPE from it remains uncapped but no longer do players have to post game links. A simple post gets you TPE. But how much? Well, that changes a little because the practice Facility is now open to all members. VHLM members will still receive a benefit, receiving 2 TPE per week rather than 1 but VHL members can also post in there to claim 1 TPE per week. The second change we wanted to announce is that GMing is now officially a paid position. They will be receiving 2 TPE/week (capped) for their continued efforts and keeping their teams in check. We are hopeing to give GM’s more responsibilities in the future as well but those are not yet finalized. For now we wanted to reward our GM’s for their hard work the same as we would reward any other job.

@STZ brought this up a little while ago and I feel like no one quite came to a conclusion at the time so @Will and I discussed it the other day. Since this rule is in place simply to prevent re-creates from immediately having an advantage over new members, not to stop them short of where newer members can get TPA wise, we have made the following provision: If you bank re-create TPE upon your creation, this TPE does not count toward your TPA / banked cap. For example, if you start with the max carryover of 75 (thus 45 banked) you can still hit 175 TPA before you need to start banking. Just wanted to clarify that to make sure that re-creates aren’t being unnecessarily harmed by this rule. It doesn’t exist to put them at a disadvantage; just to make sure that they don’t start off much higher than new members.
