Because teams cannot drop more than 1 spot, Quebec automatically receives the 2nd overall pick. In the recording I was dumb (it is very early in the morning) and then drew third overall as Quebec (From Riga). However this was an error on my part. Davos cannot drop more than 1 spot either which means they take third overall. This means Quebec (From Riga) picks 4th. Forgive me for this being a little oddly done, it was my lottery cherry if you will and it was far too early in the morning for it.

Definitely the strangest cup finals STHS has ever delivered. It usually does weird things in the playoffs but usually at least 1 top team makes it.

That seems ridiculously high, I'm not going to lie. The cap per week is 12 so x4 weeks in a month that's 48. So basically you'd be earning double every month; that's far too much. Especially when you consider that a lot of the players would be repeating so you'd just have to update their stats every once in awhile. That's my main objection to doing it once a month. I think once per season makes more sense from the stand point of it being an all-star game and it limits the extra work. However I do think it would be nice to bring back the top prospects VHLM game.

For the record, I’m hiding your posts because they are nothing but (very) thinly veiled attacks. If you were directing them at anyone else they would be hidden as well. You wanna try and do something constructively without diving into BS theories with no proof than I’ll gladly leave the posts, though this hardly seems the topic for them. However if you want to just sit there and insult me I see no reason why anyone else should have to read it. There’s no point to the posts aside from trying to antagonize me.

I see more than you seem to realize. Thinly veiled insults thrown my way won't change that. Nor will hiding behind the constant "it was a joke / sarcasm."

And we will look into those options. However we have been without chat for so long that I really don't see how it would make any sense to keep using something people have proven not to like while we get things sorted out. If Discord works better for us then we'll use that. However as of right now we needed a solution and this is a familiar one that works well. Discord, in the state we were using it (and the state other sites use it) I don't find works well. I have never used the discord for either the SBA or the EFL because using a separate site to chat seems ridiculous.

For what it’s worth as well @Beaviss, @Will and I were talking about this yesterday. We thought we had the upgraded one with mobile but we might be mistaken or it might just be disabled for some reason. We’re looking into it.

Goalies can be the most rewarding position to play but also the most frustrating. The randomness of STHS always seems like it hits them the hardest.

Thing is, overall and potential can only really be measured in the playoffs based off regular season performance. That’s the point I’m trying to make. Logically speaking Helsinki should have done worse in the season since they have like 4 players. But since they didn’t it’s easy to assume their playoffs would go well to because that’s the predictor we have.

Only my last two. I was averaging just under a cup per player before that.

I don’t need convincing and I’m not making excuses. I recognize that STHS can do weird things in the playoffs. All I’m saying is that based on the stats we had seen in the regular season this should have been a blowout in the other direction. Maybe things were fucked up, maybe STHS is just random, I don’t know. But the fact is that based off what we knew going into this series the Toronto offense, defenseman, and goalie should have been stronger. That’s just based on what we saw in the regular season. You won and I congratulate you for that but I’m hardly trying to make excuses. I’m just trying to say that based off the regular season there’s no reason this should have happened.

@tfong I have explained this to you before. Discord is a better chat, there’s no denying that. But from everything I have read they broke embedding years ago and people don’t want to or don’t think to go off-site for chat. The whole point of chat is for it to be easier, quicker, and more convenient than PMing. Having to go to another site, register for it, and remember to have it open every time you want to be on the VHL isn’t easier, quicker, or more convenient. We tried Discord and proved that people don’t use it. Investing extra time into it doesn’t make sense. I’m not saying it isn’t superior, I’m saying that our members dont prefer it. A corvette is a better car than a Yaris but if you live in a city with constant traffic and no room to move the Yaris makes more sense. If it’s possible to embed it then maybe we can try to make that an option but the lack of single login is still a pain. What extra features would we realistically gain from it?

And the career of Sokolov officially comes to an end. A fitting end really with a pile of disappointment that matches the career he had. I slumped randomly every season and underperformed for no reason; basically how these playoffs went. You’re having a hell of a run Seattle, aim not trying to take that away from you, but your playoff performance simply doesn’t add up with how you performed in the regular season.

Really hoping this becomes like last season. Goes back and forth the entire time except games 6 and 7 going the same way. Seems like Seattle was hiding their offence all season.
