And while I needed to be a D I was fine staying there. I didn’t move because I wanted the glory. I moved because I felt like the team needed a stronger offensive punch this season. Jokinen was already in to hold down the fort as our top D, we didn’t need me for it.

My first try as a defenseman; even if I wound up changing in my last season. I know I could have had one more year but Dollar knew this was coming early anyway. I'm just not enjoying Sokolov anymore. He's been frustrating pretty much since the beginning; having random slumps every single season for no reason. Honestly I enjoyed him for awhile more than I thought I would but at the end of the day it's time for a change. Hopefully Toronto can pull it out this season and Sokolov can end on top in something for once. Thank you @DollarAndADream for putting your faith in me all these seasons. Wish I could have produced more for you but I did what I could.

I had a lot of thoughts after listening to this Friday but I can’t remember most of them now. 1 I do recall is that the Clegane limit was set at 20 games because that was more or less (within like 0.5%) the same percentage of games that is needed to be eligible for the NHL’s Jennings award. Figured we might as well follow suit. 90% of the time goalies will play 64 games or 8 anyway.

Try to emulate the greats that have come before you. It sounds odd but seeing what has worked in the past is a great way to evaluate what will work in the future. In addition, put yourself out there and get as much done as you possibly can. Not only will it help you gain more training but it will help get your name out to the general managers of the league. Agencies hold a lot of weight here to the point that a good agency can trump a good season when it comes to drafting. You want GM’s to know your a sure thing. At the moment, our depth of scoring. Toronto has 4 out of the top 10 spots in points, scoring, and assists. While we may not be first in any of the categories, we are present in all of them more-so than any other team. If any one of us has a bad game and drops the ball there are several other players ready to pick up the slack. I believe that’s the reason we have both the highest GF and the highest goal differential. John Locke. I know the Draper agency very well and his abilities with the puck are near impossible to deny. As much as I have enjoyed spending my career in Toronto there’s no doubt in my mind that it has resulted in me missing out on playing with some of the players in the league that I would most like to have as linemates. Locke often ends up very high on that list.

Vilhjálmsson Triplets Press Conference
Beketov replied to Possum Queen's topic in Player Press Conferences
1. How have you three been adjusting to the VHL thus far? Do you believe this adjustment period is hurting the Lynx? 2. Given that this was the one season where you could choose your own team, are you worried that VHLM GM’s will ignore your wishes in the off-season and draft all three of you to separate teams? -
1. Rumours are swirling that you may retire early; is there any basis for these rumours? 2. Does Riga have the ability to pick up the pieces and make another deep run this season? 3. A debate has been raging in the league as of late involving Franchise Cornerstone vs. Rhett DeGrath for MVP. Which do you think deserves it? Or do you think someone else does?

Weekly Hellbilly/Billy Pilgrim presser

you don’t need to make a new topic each week, just add onto one you already have made. -
And a harsher scale to account for it. The inflation isn’t as severe as those numbers imply because we took it into account already. Even if it was “giving into inflation” I’m not sure how that is an argument in favour of making contract money based on the user instead of the player which makes no sense.

How do you figure?

I just did an episode on him actually. In a game with Montreal he chased a puck down and knocked it away from an open net; was a nice save. Probably the only blocked shot he ever had though.

You may not directly pay for TPE but you definitely indirectly pay for it. At the highest end the “2 attribute points” for example is worth 20 TPE. PT upgrade is worth roughly 8 TPE since that’s about the number of weeks in a season. Triple predictions could be anywhere from 0-10 really depending how good your predictions were; you get my point. Salary Banking wouldn’t realistically fix any issue we’re having but it could definitely cause some new ones if someone decided to bank a lot.

To be fair that’s definitely not unheard of in film. I do post which isn’t as insane for it and have still done easily over 60 multiple times.

Two hat tricks and a shutout. Great game for @DollarAndADream and @tfong

Well it doesn’t highlight them for you. You need to highlight the text and then select check spelling (under the edit menu). It isn’t perfect by far but it does work most of the time.
-
It actually does have one, though I don’t know how well it works.

I 100% can show you how to do a screen recording for free on your mac or PC. If you want to get that done let me know. I could probably cut it together for you if you needed any editing after.

1. You currently sit 6th in points and 2nd in Defensemen points. Why do you think you have had such success this season? 2. Calgary is currently fighting with Riga for the last playoff spot. There is still lots of hockey left to play but do you think that Calgary will be able to get into that final playoff spot?

The main surprises for me aren't so much the Legion doing well as much as it is New York and Riga doing very well and very terrible respectively. I've been saying for a couple of seasons now that NY is set up to become very scary very soon but I wasn't expecting it to be so soon. They are right up our asses in the standings and are looking VERY good this season. Riga, on the other hand, I think most people expected to continue to be good this season and maybe even 3-peat but so far that doesn't seem to be the case since they are currently sitting outside a playoff spot. Thats the major surprise for me, I was really expecting them to be a challenge this season. As odd as it sounds, Cornerstone. Obviously he's been a great player his entire career and I never really expected him to be a shitty player. However I wasn't expecting near the kind of performance he's having; especially with so little help with Helsinki. I guess the lack of other great forwards on the team might be what's actually pumping his numbers up but I was really expecting his numbers to go down a bit this season with the depth of the team taking a hit. So far though he is surprising me to say the least. He's really putting forth insane numbers. I'm also really surprised by Boeser this season. I know he's been a bit hit or miss most seasons but he is really coming into his own this year which is great to see for us in Toronto. Even though Cornerstone is surprising me a lot, he's not an MVP over DeGrath in my opinion. Not that he wouldn't be my second choice, he probably would be, but at the end of the day DeGrath is the reason New York is pushing for the Victory Cup; it's as simple as that. Cornerstone might be stealing a few games for his team but DeGrath is stealing most games for his team, simple as that. New York I don't believe has any scorers in the top 15 but they are only a few points back from first place. That comes down big time to their goalie so if I voted on it today, I would be voting DeGrath.

How the Update Scale messed up older teams like...
Beketov replied to TheLastOlympian07's topic in VHL.com Articles
This season the compensation TPE wasn’t counting against the cap for salaries. It’s only going to affect them next season where brackets will he adjusted.
