  1. Effort 0.5/2: I see 4 layers, maybe 5 at the most. Not worth the effort points in my opinion. Look 1/3: I'm being kinda generous here because I think it's funny, that's about the only reason. The text is slapped one, the boobs are slapped on (and like sorta half blended?) and I think there's a border but I can't really see it. Look wise this is pretty ugly by GFX standards, I won't lie to you. Creativity 1/1: I will definitely give you this. It's creative and funny. Overall: 2.5/6
  2. Effort 2/2: I can definitely see the effort required here. Look 2.75/3: It' so close but just a little off for me. The render needs to be brought down a tad (I'm seeing too much crotch and too little head) and the lighting feels like it's all in the BG. The text is good but the 31 stands out a bit too much, not sure if it's the colour or the positioning. Overall I think it's VERY CLOSE but just needs a few extra touches. Well done. Creativity 1/1: Yup Overall: 5.75/6
  3. Effort 2/2: I can see the effort put forth on this piece. Some nice blending and effects to be worth the points. Look 2.75/3: This piece is close but just missing a few elements to push it over the edge. The render effects are amazingly done and the text is beautiful in my opinion. The BG is lacking a bit, kinda just looks flat and boring, so that could be improved. Also, the lighting is a little awkward, looks like a big red dot over his entire face. Get that brushing or effect or whatever pushed over a bit and it'll look far better. Creativity 1/1: Yup Overall: 5.75/6
  4. Effort 2/2: It's a manic which means effects are often less obvious but I can definitely see the effort put into this piece. Look 2.5/3: You are definitely right regarding the text, it is a MAJOR problem for this sig. Without it you have good effects, decent lighting and a pretty good sig. With it you have an ugly grey blob in the corner that was slapped on and is distracting. Try getting text closer to the render, even if it blocks it a bit. It'll help to keep the focal point where it should be. Also, get some effects and blending not it. Text should be a relatively low layer in a sig, down near the render level, so that it blends in well. This looks like it was near the top so it seems slapped on. Overall, I won't dock much because the text really is the only major problem but it is an issue that needs to be resolved. Creativity 1/1: Yup Overall: 5.5/6
  5. Effort 2/2: I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on this one. It doesn't look like an amazing amount was done but I know that a lot of effects can be subtle sometimes. Look 2.5/3: I don't mind the text placement, I think it's a creative way of making a sig rather than showing a render in full. The effects are lacking though, both on the text and the render itself. The sig just doesn't have anything major that makes it pop. With that said it's still well made for it's style. Creativity 1/1: Yup Overall: 5.5/6 FINAL: 6/6

Should have gotten this for last week, now you have me grading a video Effort: 1/1 - Good amount of cuts, some slow-mo (although I have a hunch that was the original footage but it was mixed in well), good use of music, etc. Worth the effort points. Look: 2.5/3 - It felt like at some point something more should have happened. Even when it hit the high point of the video everything still felt a little slow and like it was setting up to something big. The music was a great choice but just didn't seem to lead anywhere. Only real transition was the corny one right at the end but that's not necessarily a bad thing, jump cuts are best for something like this. I would have liked to see (or at least hear) a fade at the end instead of an awkward cut. Overall it felt good but lacked some punch that bringing in a different song or faster cuts would have added. Quality: 2/2 - I don't believe it's full HD but I know Vimeo has some pretty tight restrictions for free users so the quality was high enough in that regard. It still looked clear. Clip choices were done well, I liked that you made sure to use teams that much up (at least colour wise) with VHL teams. Decent mix of highlight clips and more slow-paced stuff. Very good on the footage quality. Overall: 5.5/6

  9. The endings in the original trilogy also tie together quite nicely. I won't say exactly how I'm case you haven't seen them but it's actually quite eloquently done. Dawn is still my favourite (even the remake is decent) but Night was a great way to start.
  10. I'm out of the country for half the month otherwise I'd try this with you. Luckily I have seen a solid chunk of the films already. Definitely s good choice to start with BTW. Much love for the original Romaro Trilogy. Unfortunate that the dead series went downhill after the originals.

  16. This. I like the idea but that looks like the puma logo to me which doesn’t really fit with the wolf theme of the team.
  17. I'll hit it without any issue. My big pre-season update wasn't in for this so I'm actually at 740 already which is plenty close to get to 750 in over a season.
  18. This. Technically it's SUPPOSED to be made for the league but we've let people slide before on just replacing the name so that's fine.
  19. That still doesn't make sense though. Like why make that what defines work ethic across the board? Maybe for defence men but why should forwards have shit work ethic without adding to defence? If it's that important it should be it's own stat and, if not, than I would think that it should be for D-Men and have an offensive attribute do it for forwards. Just my opinion anyway.
  20. It sounds like BS but people are right about getting defence up. Regardless of position defence is important. I don't know exactly why but it is. I'm still no superstar but I had way worse stats when my defence was low. As soon as I brought it up, without even changing other things, I started to do better.
  21. Under normal circumstances, it would seem a no brainer that Wylde is worth more than a 2nd round pick. However, given the circumstances with Calgary I'm going to say that Kesler got the best he could out of the situation. Cap hell aside Wylde would have gone to Calgary in free agency, leaving Quebec with nothing. However for cap purposes he re-signed and was dealt slightly later. Sure, his value is higher than a 2nd round pick but is it not better to get that than nothing at all?
