  1. Welcome back to the VHL! Also like your profile pic btw ??
  2. It's the end of an era in Houston... S72 Bulls is no more ?
  3. Is it me, or is the VHL looking a bit different?? ???????

  4. So there's a thing I've been noticing ever since I joined the VHL, something that's been bothering me a tad bit. Now that I'm an AGM, I finally have a chance to change things up. What I'm talking about of course, is about the team press conferences. There's one thing I want to make clear. I have no real issues with the questions being asked. I think AGMs and GMs do a great job in asking thought-provoking questions. Another thing I like to say is that I love doing pressers. I think it's just fun asking the players questions as I often find them interesting. Some are pretty basic but there's always that one or two that give you some extra thought. From what I have experienced at least. No the thing I have an issue about is the presentation. From what I've seen, most AGMs or GMs if there isn't one just slap on questions, albeit good ones, and then call it a day. Where's the presentation? Some make an effort to bold out some text or maybe even add some colour, but still. I wish things looked a bit more nicer. Some may say that they don't get paid enough for this shit and I can...kinda honestly agree but at least put some effort. For starters, I'm not asking to make things professional as fuck, but rather to make them at least look nice. An example is perhaps playing with the text alignment, maybe adding some colour to your text. Bold or italicize some of the text, maybe even underline. Change the text size perhaps if you're doing a heading. (Example) LAS VEGAS ACES PRESS CONFERENCE (Week ending and all that shit) 1) Question 2) Question 3) Question... This format I use provides a neat presentation that allows people to read the questions easily whilst making it look nice in the process. The bold text for week ending allows players to see when is the presser made despite the smaller text, though it can be removed entirely since people should know when pressers are up. I know for a fact that some players like copying or quoting the questions then pasting them in for their response. The spaces between the questions give room for players like me who use that format. If you're extra like me, you may consider adding a graphic sometime soon. Just to add a little bit more if you wanna go that far. All I want to say is to put a little more effort other than slapping some questions, maybe make things look a little more neat or good looking. I know it's a bit of a challenge enough to think of material to ask your roster players in the first place. Something that I've had to struggle with when doing my first presser and it's also I can improve on. I've been told that pressers are basically an AGM's pay, and It's a matter of personal preference but if wanna do your job, you gotta do it right or at least good. This is something to just kinda keep in mind the next time you do a presser. It's something I've noticed and I wanna just put my thoughts out now that I actually have to make pressers rather than answer them. (Also I don't get paid enough for this shit XD) (564 words)
  5. LAS VEGAS ACES PRESS CONFERENCE 9/7 - 9/13 (Also new logo hasn't been added yet I think) 1) So what do you think of the new logo so far? Do you miss the yellow? 2) The VHLM Dispersal Draft is coming soon, if you're eligible, would you like to be on a different team? If so which team(s) would it be? 3) What are your plans this offseason? Any sort of tournament or are you just looking to relax? 4) What got you into hockey? 5) Do you think the Aces will be any good next season? Or will they be a basement team? 6) If you were to play along with someone from another team whether it be the VHL or the VHLM, who would it be?
  6. 1. With the exit of many of our star players, how do you think we will perform next season? I personally think that the team won't be shit, but I don't think they'll be true contenders. Of course the dispersal draft hasn't happened yet so I can't say for sure, but that's what I expected at least. 2. How have you been enjoying the off-season? Did you return home or go on vacation? I took some time home but then moved into LA since I have a movie to act out in. Production is going smooth so far. 3. What are your goals for next season? My goals is to see if I can make an impact in the VHL as a rookie. Even more so I want to prove to LA that I'm the real deal. 4. Would you rather be an elite passer or elite scorer? I'd say an elite passer. Scoring goals is nice and all but if you can't support your own teammates, then you're on your own. 5. Are you interested in any other sim leagues? I've been eyeing the SHL and the EFL. The only reason I'm hesitant on the EFL is because I'm not as knowledgable in football compared to hockey. As for the SHL? Well my loyalties lie to the VHL of course. 6. Who do you hope to play along side with next season? Taro Tsujimoto has been pretty cool since he came here but Lee Xin is the guy I want to play along side with. 7. How was your season as a member of the Ottawa Lynx? I think it was a great season. It was the one breakout season I needed and all I can say is thanks to the organization for the opportunity.
  7. Whichever team you end up with, I know you'll do great!!
  8. With the new hiring of an AGM, a new challenger enters Sin City. Jaxon "Soulless" Void, known as the owner of Void Agency, the same agency that represents the player, Jiggly Gumballs, has recently been hired as the new Assistant General Manager for the Las Vegas Aces. The Vancouver product has been known as an upcoming scout known for seeking out potential talent and representing them to get them into the big leagues. Now he has taken his talents to a new scene. This time in management. Void is a man of charisma, a person who is charming, yet calculative. A man who's known for his carefree attitude, yet he is often one step ahead of others. The reason as to why he's nicknamed "Soulless" is mostly unknown, though it has been rumored to be because of his lack of empathy. Nevertheless, he is someone who is perfect for the Vegas limelight. Despite his rather short resume, he has shown great potential and is ready to prove himself with his new job. "It's a great honor for someone to see my potential and give me an opportunity to shine. Vegas is a great city and the nightlife is simply extravagant. So I once again want to thank @Spartan for hiring me. I think he made the right choice and I'm super happy to start working closely with him, but for now I guess I should celebrate with a nice glass of champagne." (242 words)
  9. Thank you so much for the opportunity @Spartan !! Super excited to start working with you!!
  10. 1. How do you feel about your personal performance in the playoffs? I'll be blunt, I think I did absolutely shit. I really wished I can do better but again, I didn't meet the expectations I set for myself. 2. How do you feel about the team’s performance in the playoffs? The team I think did well despite losing. We kept the fight but ultimately, the Marlins were the better team. 3. What are your goals during the off-season? Well I wanna win Patrik Laine's offseason tournament. Also I need new material so I'm going to spend the offseason coming up with new plans. 4. What is in store for you next season? (draft, call-up, returning player, etc.) I'm pretty sure that next season, it'll likely be my big call-up to the VHL. Something I've been looking forward to ever since I've been drafted. I'm pretty excited and hopefully I'll do well. 5. Who do you think stood out the most from the Ottawa Lynx for this past season and playoffs? I think Zach Kisslinger did pretty well this postseason but Dayne stood out the most out of the rest. 6. If you could have changed anything this season, what would it be? Well the obvious one is that we win the series and continue on. Other than that, I wish I had one more assist in the regular season. 7. Which of your teammates do you hope to play on the same team as again in the VHL? I'd say Lee Xin. Wish I could see em play with me in LA one day.
  11. The S73 VHLM Playoffs brought only disappointment for the Ottawa Lynx as they lose 2-1 in game 5 of the first round against the San Diego Marlins. The lynx had lost the first two games but bounced back in game 3 only to lose 2-1 twice in games 4 and 5. A quick, but decently close series that ultimately ended the Lynx's playoff hopes and dreams for the season. This post season was not one to remember for Ottawa Lynx defenseman, Jiggly Gumballs, as he only amassed 1 goal and 1 assist in the 5 playoff games he's in. Though he had a +1 rating and about 28 minutes of average ice time. He had a whopping 16 penalty minutes in just 5 games. Gumballs vented off frustrations and disappointment in a post-game interview. "It really pisses me off y'know? We came into the playoffs confident, looking to take them by storm and yet we had our asses beat. I mean you got to hand it to them (Marlins), they really did well. But it's just so...frustrating y'know? To have your season end in such a humiliating and embarrassing way and I feel so pissed off because of it. I honestly felt like I'm partially responsible for the way we played. I did a lot of things I now feel is wrong and I wished I could've produced more points wise. So I personally just wanna say sorry to the fans. I fucked up and our season didn't end the way we hoped it would." Gumballs was also asked about the online rumors of him "getting lazy on the ice" because of the new Hollywood deal signed recently. "Why the fuck would you think of that in the first place?!? Of course not! Yes I didn't find my game this series, it's part of the playoff pressure, but it doesn't mean I'm being fucking lazy. No lucrative contract of any sort is going to stray me away from playing my favorite sport. If I was playing "lazily" like those fat chumps on Twitter are saying, then I would've retired right this instant to pursue my Hollywood dreams and all that shit. That deal with Disney has nothing to do with how I play my game. I'm already pissed off enough that I wasn't playing right to begin with and I'm not gonna deal with middle-aged dads who lost their fucking playoff brackets or bets. Look, this season is something I can learn from, and hopefully I can take what I learn and transfer that to the VHL. Of course, you always gotta keep your head up. This is just the start after all."
  12. What if....MattyIce just becomes a competitor to the VSN??? ?????
  13. The only reason I was out there voting and unvoting was because I was blackmailed and wasn't able to confirm that I investigated on bigAL unless I had some other way around it. There was no reason for me to fake being blackmailed as well. The time I wanted to talk, I couldn't.
