Philadelphia Reapers Press Conference #5 Answer 6 for 2 TPE, answer less than 6 for 1 TPE. <---------------------> 1: The Reapers were quiet at the trade deadline. Do you see this boosting or taking away our chances of winning it all? 2: Speaking of trades, the Reapers made a great one, acquiring defenseman Gustav Hjalmarsson. What were your reactions to the trade? Did you like it, or not? 3: Over the years, Philly and Yukon have been battling it out as rivals. With one of our most recent wins coming against them, how do you view the Rush; do you do anything different to prep for their games? 4: With the new Covid vaccines available, will you be getting one as soon as possible or not? 5: Our goaltending tandem of Carson and Taffe is arguably one of the best in the league. How was their play impacted yours? 6: What is your favorite food? Mine has to be fish, but tell me yours, I would love to know! Have a great day, Reapers!

What do you think of his performance, and how do you think it will impact the team as the season goes on? 3: Considering the recent winter weather, how have you been holding up? 4: The new surge of Covid-19 has made travel to other cities very difficult. Do you change your travel ways with the reapers under these new circumstances? 5: Tell me more about you! As the new AGM, I want to get to know my players. Tell me, what is your favorite sport to play aside from hockey? 6: With our next couple of games up against Minnesota and Saskatoon, will you do anything different to prepare for those games?

Hello Reapers and anybody who is reading this, I am Darius Marimoto, also known as Bobo throughout the VHL community, and I am writing to say thanks to everybody that helped me get to where I am now. Back in the summer of 2020, when I joined, I never thought I would take part in managing a team, especially one of the best in the VHLM. I would've called you crazy if you told me that in those months. But looking back on it, it was worth every minute of it. From getting to wear the C for three seasons now with Philly (S73-75), and now becoming the AGM of that same exact team, It's a dream come true. I'm looking forward to the seasons to come. Every one of you has been so supportive and kind towards me, especially DMaximus, Blazzer, JigglyGumballs, Kris Rice, MattyIce, just to name a few. There are many more that I haven't mentioned, but still I would like to acknowledge. And of course, I wish the best of Spencer Elsby, and his journey in the VHL with Vancouver. Congrats, Selsby! Again, thanks for everything, and let's go Reapers, Assistant General Manager, Darius Marimoto.

I would love to apply. I've been the team captain of the Reapers for 3 seasons now, head scout for 1, and player for 3. I can do press conferences early, motivate players and help out new ones, and be a positive presence in the locker room in general. I value the team and the players combined. Hire me as the next AGM for Philly!

Love it!

S75 Philadelphia Reapers Leadership Group Vote :fire
Bobo replied to Spence King's topic in Archived Media Spots
I voted for Tristan. His welcoming and helpful attitude towards everyone is something that you don’t find in just everybody. He’s also been with the organization for some time now. -

You've been super fun to hang out around too! Can't wait to see what next season brings me, and you.

VHLM Insider: Miami's Playoff Journey w/ GM Ricer

At the beginning of the year, Miami started off on the wrong foot. They were losing more than winning. However, general manager Kris Ricer thought otherwise, "When it comes to making the playoffs, that is my expectation every season. I want to be competitive. I have to admit I did have my doubts as the season went on but the team managed to pull together and get the job done." With this newfound confidence and swagger, they began to win more and more. Sure, they ran into a few speed bumps along the way, and had one intense rivalry with the Philadelphia Reapers. But apart from that, they were a well oiled machine for most of the season. As the S74 season came to a close, they had just barely squeezed into the playoffs, beating the Reapers in the fight for the final playoff spot. Now, there was a greater obstacle in the way, the Halifax 21st, "When we made the playoffs, my reaction was pure excitement. You see we were actually competing for that spot as the season ended. The Reapers were also playing for that spot so every game we playing had meaning to it. As for our matchup we fully expected to play Halifax so mentally the team was prepared." With their playoff matchup secured, the Miami Marauders had made the playoffs for 3 seasons in a row. This is so special because they have never missed out on the playoffs; a feat that many teams cannot say they've done, "That is a unique stat for sure. One that I am surely will diminish in time. My personal philosophy is to make the playoffs every season. I’d rather not be a bottom feeder team tanking for lottery picks. It’s no fun for the players or for myself and the M is supposed to be fun and having fun retains members. This season is a great example our team had a ton of fun becoming competitive and playing for the 8th spot. We now have many members who have become much more active and seem excited to be continuing their careers." For the Marauders, the regular season is behind them, and now they focus on their path to the championship. There will definitely be some great roadblocks and obstacles in their way; some coming in the form of teams. Ricer, however, is not focused on how far they go, he's focused on how they do in each series, "I have zero expectation on how far we are going to make it. Halifax is a great team and all I can hope for is that the team we have can make them earn every win they get and that we can steal a few a long the way so that everyone knows us making the playoffs wasn’t a fluke." When these playoffs come to a close, then comes the draft. For Miami, a lot of their draft eligible players are what made their team so good this past season. But, they do have some great core pieces, on top of the draftees they will select in the Dispersal Draft, "I have a lot of core pieces who will still be here next season so they will be playing an important role in our success. Through the draft I will round out our roster with active members and if need be we will sign any waiver players next season. I think the draft will be key as it is a very deep draft this season. I can’t wait it is going to be a lot of fun." It's been a pleasure interviewing Kris Ricer, GM of Miami, and I can't wait to see what the Marauders can do next season and the seasons to follow.
