Managing this team has been a treat all the way from working with league management on the expansion concept way back at the start of the pandemic to winning a championship in season 76, and all the ups and downs before and since then.

Overall, I think the Chicago Phoenix have been a success. While my activity has been called into question throughout my tenure, some as a bit of an inside joke, others in a more assholeish way, I think many of my longer-term players will agree that I have been dedicated to trying to build a winner here in Chicago, and we have managed to make the playoffs in 12 of our 16 seasons since we came into the league. While it would have been nice to have been able to have brought more than one cup to Chicago the playoffs are a fickle beast and while we have been close, I was never able to secure one with this second core.

Now to thank some specific people.

@solas – my first ever draft pick with Chicago and a career player for the Phoenix. Camus was a legend and you are among my favourite members here
@fishy – while our time together got off to a rocky start when I drafted Matty Socks without scouting, I think it ended up being a fun adventure with that first core
@Blazzer – my first AGM and another career long Chicago Phoenix player – I know you hated how Lee Xin played but I hope our conversations in the locker room and early morning gen chat made your early time in the league enjoyable
@Quik – Thanks for trusting me with Christian Mingle and sticking out your career in Chicago – glad we could get a cup out of it – hope all is well
@MubbleFubbles – Thank you for spending as long as you did in Chicago. Our chats on player builds and roster construction were always very enjoyable and I wish you all the best with this player and any in the future
@Shindigs – I hope everything is good with you – we talked a ton while you were here and I am sad we could not win a cup together, but I learned a lot from you on new builds with the hybrid attributes. Hope to see you around again soon!
@fromtheinside – So glad you chose to spend your career in Chicago with Sundin. Once again sad we couldn’t win a cup together but I hope I provided you with a fun place to play out your career
@Subject056 - I know you are a fairly new member of the Phoenix and we haven't talked a ton but whichever member gets to take over as a general manager for the Phoenix has a great member and player to build around as their cornerstone. I hope you can carry Chicago back to glory in the near future!

To the plethora of other players who have played in the red and orange since our inception I would like to thank each and every one of you for your time here, whether you got here through trade, free agency, the draft or other means. I hope I gave you a locker room and team where you could have fun while I tried to build a winning team with a good enviroment.

Outside of that I would like to thank all the other general managers who put up with me in my role. I have issues responding to DMs, as has been brought up a few times, but that was never anything personal. That issue extends to my personal and work life as well and is something I am trying to work on. I truly did enjoy talking to most of you and you made the role a fun one to work in.

I hope to stick around the VHL in some capacity as I have been here on and off since its creation sixteen seasons ago but it is time for me to hand the reins over to someone who can dedicate the time needed to build Chicago back into a championship caliber team.

tl;dr it is time for me to admit I am inactive and I’m going to retire

The Las Vegas Aces have stumbled into the trade deadline this year, and after many high expectations, it's even more disappointing to bring you the news I bare today. It's with a heavy heart I announce to you that Captain Maxim Anisimov and Jeid Rohnson have been traded to the Halifax 21st, in exchange for Quinndillus Whopper and a S91 HFX 3rd Round pick. This coming not so shortly after the Aces six game winning streak came crashing down around them, as they have lost 5 of their last 6 following the win streak. With this in mind, and the future to be considered, GM @Blazzer made the tough decision to ship off career Aces off for future assets to help with the now all but guaranteed rebuild.

What this brings for the team is yet to be seen, but if the Aces are dedicating to a rebuild, then expect more losses in the coming days and weeks. It's gonna be tough on the Sin City, but the pay off will be worth it, I can promise you that. While this isn't the season many fans were expecting, it's even harder to accept that it needs to get worse before it gets better. As the trade deadline is today, expect teams to be ringing up Las Vegas Managements phones, with potentially more players on exodus in the coming hours. With this though does shed a glimmer of hope. In addition to more losses now expected for the Aces, their position in the standings will drop, and they'll likely be able to get higher picks in the draft to bring on more hope for the team. To guess what management has in store with this picks is impossible to predict, but for now, it's a dark day in Las Vegas.

We'll have more news for you at the top of the hour. Today's headlines were brought to you by KGW, "Play Like You!" @Triller. And now Nat King Cole, reminding us what really matters with "Love Me As Though There Were No Tomorrow."

Live from Juan Ceson Arena, this is Radio Las Vegas, with your host, Marcus Svedberg! We've got some news for you, coming right up.

The Aces have had a bit of difficulty in getting their feet underneath them as the S89 VHLM season fully swings into motion, and it's hard to gauge what's causing these issues. Some point to the top heavy nature of the team, and how there isn't much depth past the star players. Others have gotten more analytical in their assessments and blame individual skills not meshing together on the ice, with the favorite theory being that the team simply passes too much and shots are far and few between, especially quality ones. With this in mind, GM @Blazzer and AGM @McLovin have been hard at work in tweaking the lineups, shifting players and ice time allocation to mend the situation. Despite their efforts, the Aces find themselves at a lowly 7-10-1 record, sitting second to last in their conference. With this in mind, what's in store for the Aces?

Many have suspected that the team may move pieces here soon, or at least nearing the trade deadline should the issues not be alleviated by then. A possible route the Aces take is the hard rebuild strategy, in which high skill players are dealt for draft capital and depth pieces to bolster them down the line. This is definitely the nuclear option in terms of solving the issues, but with the stagnant nature of the teams performance last few seasons, something has to change, right? Of course, this is all speculation. The team as is is remarkably strong in its high end skill, and minor tweaks and a few waiver claims would likely improve the situation. Is management willing to take that chance on the future, however, remains to be seen.

You know, they say no news is good news. But I think my program would be awfully dull if that were the case. That news was brought to you by the Bratislava Watchmen. "The Watchmen, the best VHLE team." @dylanjj37

Blazzer reacted to Thunder in Stan Par - The New Legend
The legend, Juan Ceson, @dylanjj37, retired in Las Vegas, leaving the city lonely and void of all future hope of reviving everything Juan Ceson left.  The Juan Ceson zoo is no longer; the animals have been on a hunger strike ever since Juan Ceson departed on the Juan Ceson jet from the Juan Ceson private airport.  The Juan Ceson Resort and Casino has been taken over by the mob and the Juan Ceson race track is out of gas.  @Blazzer was unable to keep things status quo in Vegas but she was blindsided by @Viper and @badcolethetitan.

There is a new legend in the making, that being Stan Par.  Stan Par signed with Saskatoon and promised many things by Viper and Cole.  And as far as the hockey playing goes, it appears that Stan Par is on par for a repeat of statistics equivalent, if not better than Juan Ceson.  Stan Par is already dominating the VHLM in blocked shots, and is right behind the hits leader, soon to overtake the #1 spot.

Live from Juan Ceson Arena, this is Radio Las Vegas, with your host, Marcus Svedberg! We got an interesting story here for you today, so stay tuned!

A few days ago, Las Vegas announced that they were naming Maxim Anisimov as the successor of Juan Ceson @dylanjj37 as Captain of the Las Vegas Aces. Since then, we've had some fun stirrings occur in the locker room and front office of the Aces, as well as here in our own radio station! As mentioned in our last broadcast, Juan Ceson made his own developmental team and company, aimed at training the next generation of players and leaders in the VHLM. Despite this, Juan Ceson still attempted to ensure the contract signed between him, AGM Ben Hafkey and myself, host and owner of Radio Las Vegas, would still be enforced. The clause of the contract was that should Ceson remain in Las Vegas for the next two seasons, this radio station would be relocated to Las Vegas from Helsinki, and named Radio Juan. Obviously, as Ceson has since retired from the VHLM following the announcement that he'd no longer be eligible for competing, the contract was essentially void before it could even go into effect

Now, however, Ceson has still created Radio Juan, is what appears to be a direct competitor to Radio Las Vegas! Additionally, Ceson has claimed that I work there, even saying that I've earned a 200% raise from my "volunteer salary of $0" With this news, Radio Las Vegas is happy to announce that we're not going anywhere, and that I personally will not sign any deals with Radio Juan so long as they continue to attempt to steal away our loyal and loving viewers of RLV! What will come of this, though, is yet to be seen, but I can speak for myself in saying that RLV will always be here for you, providing the most up to date and only partially biased news on your Las Vegas Aces!

Since the data collection point, G Ryan Artyomov has applied that unspent TPE, this moved MIA from 10 to 9 and SSK subsequently down to 10. Also MIA moves from 4 in G Ranks to 3; HOU was then dropped to 4.

I will edit this post later with time stamps for each team and my beginning and ending spiels.

Last but not least here is the mention section of the post. Also going to mention all of the GMs as this article references their roster construction which is directly their work so.

Blazzer reacted to twists in Eric Queefson Scouting Report
    Eric Queefson Scouting Report

Eric Queefson was a good boy during his tenure in the VHLM. He didn't get many penalties nor did he fight. He was able to solely focus on points and defensive coverage. He spent two years in the VHLM before immediately being called up to the DC Dragons. He had this to say, "It was an honor to be called up straight to the VHL first. I was expecting to play in the VHLE for a season, but knowing I was too good for the E gets me beyond hyped". Queefson may not have scored the most points, blocked the most shots, but he did win playoff MVP in his final season in the VHLM. His team, The Reapers, were able to bring home the founder's cup. Queef put up 26 goals, 55 assists, and 91 total points in his career in the VHLM. His post-season stats were also impressive. He put up 7 goals, and 22 assists in his 24 post-season games played. Could Queefson's graduation have been any better? We don't think so. Bringing home a cup, an award, and moving straight to the VHL is enough to complete anyone's dream.

Queefson was also seen contributing a lot to the community in Philadelphia. He often visited children's hospitals promising to score goals for the various sick kids he bonded with. By some miracle, he scored every single time he promised. He was well loved by staff, parents and children alike. Timmy, a child which Queefson had bonded with over time, managed to beat cancer while the Reapers were in the playoffs. Queefson made sure to fly him and his family out for game 7 of the founders cup finals. When celebrating, Queefson brought Timmy onto the ice with him and they celebrated the win together! Queefson has stated, "Getting called up will be tough for me. I love helping the community here in Philly and I'll be sure to visit the children's hospital no matter what team I play for". Truly an outstanding individual, Queefson is ready to take on the VHL with all of his might!

Queefson would like to thank some of his closest friends before closing out the article. He'd like to thank @Pifferfish for all his hard work during the run to the cup finals. He'd like to thank @Blazzer for helping him start his career in the VHLM. Last, but not least, he would like to thank @FrostBeard for taking a chance on him and calling him up immediately. None of this career would be possible if not for all of you.

Blazzer reacted to hylands in a new adventure for jebediah big ol doinks in amish
on the island of saint lucia, after a hard day of smoking loud, star hockey player jebediah big ol doinks in amish made the decision to take his talents to the big city of houston. however, this decision didn't come easy for jebediah. there were many questions to be asked first. questions like, will there be any big ol doinks for him to smoke in houston? how will he get his loud? when it's nice out will anyone ever hit his line? despite all of these burning questions, the temptation of making it big in the vhl was just too much for him to pass up.

"im pretty excited to see what kind of loud they have in houston, i've heard lots of good things about this city."

jebediah has never been one to put in the most amount of effort in practice or eat healthy to keep up with his fitness, and he arrives in houston with only his equipment and big ol doinks. it will be a big step up for him, but he is confident in his abilities. the team is looking great on paper and the entire roster is looking forward to what this season will have in store for them.

Live from Juan Ceson Arena in beautiful Las Vegas, Nevada, this is Radio Las Vegas! I'm your host, Marcus Svedberg. Before we dive into the news today, I'm sure you noticed something different since our last broadcast! We've successfully negotiated the relocation of our news network to Las Vegas, Nevada! This coming as a deal was struck between management of the Las Vegas Aces, and ownership of Helsinki News Radio LLC to relocate the station to provide you with updates and news regarding the wonderful Las Vegas Aces franchise! Now, with all that legal mumbo jumbo out of the way, let's dive into our news article!

News from the top dogs in the VHLM comes as a new challenge for the Aces to overcome in their offseason plans this year. VHLM Commissioner @Spartan  announced on Saturday that a new rule was being implemented in the league, as now a hardcap of 4 seasons has been set in number of seasons a player can spend with a franchise in the M. For most teams, this wouldn't be that big of a deal, but for the Aces, it poses a new challenge for management. With Captain Juan Ceson @dylanjj37 having served well over this new 4 season cap with the Aces, his player rights in the VHLM are now voided and he was forced to move onto the VHLE.  With news of this change, Ceson immediately retired from VHL hockey, and announced the creation of his own team and player academy, saying quote "Spartan banned Juan Ceson from his league because Juan took all his money in a casino game." With Juan Ceson gone, the Captains jersey patch now has no player to call its own, and with the near complete overhaul of the Las Vegas Aces roster this off-season, players are going to have to step up and show they can lead the Aces into the postseason and Cup competition once more.

The news has been brought to you by the Vikki and Vance Casino. Vikki and Vance, be our partner in crime. Got some Dean Martin coming up, talking about the greatest feeling in the world, love. "Ain't That A Kick in the Head." Sure is, Dino. It sure is.
