  1. Now that Riley Couture is on her second week of January she has been thinking a lot about her new year's resolutions. She has decided that she will work hard to make sure that she can be as productive and proactive as possible this year. She will pour all of her passion into bettering herself and becoming the best version of Riley that she can be. One way that she is going to do this is by making sure that, rather than just training every day, she trains in the right areas and works hard to improve her ice hockey skills. As mentioned last week one of the ways she has been practising this is by trying out figure skating, but she is also wondering about picking up boxing in the evenings to improve her strength. Riley will also try to get enough sleep at night time to make sure she is energised for her training the next day.
  2. Hello team, welcome to the Halifax 21st Press conference for this week, 11th - 17th January. Hope that you're enjoying your new year. Here are some questions for you all, please remember that you only need to answer 6 questions to get your 2 TPE. 1. You have to crossover ice hockey with a video game's gameplay of your choice, what product do you end up with? 2. What colour boot laces do you wear to match with your hockey kit? 3. At what stage in your player's life did they realise that they wanted a career in Ice Hockey? 4. Is there a TV show that has inspired your player in anyway? 5. Does your player own any pets? What are they? 6. If Halifax held a team watch party, to watch a Tale of Two Kitties, would you attend? 7. We are BOAT GANG, but what would you name a boat?
  3. We attempted to record a long podcast but craig bot broke on us, which resulted in a shorter podcast that seems to start in a very weird place. Regardless we have a good chat about VL topics. @CrazyCaityCat@Emi@BladeMaidenand myself are in this podcast but I am just claiming myself. https://drive.google.com/file/d/13r_dVVu7N-N-mozCVPX6U331z-6Dr4HF/view?usp=sharing
  4. Riley Couture has been practising her figure skating in her spare time to try and get better at skating but she has not yet been able to do a pirouette, she keeps falling over and slamming her face in the ice every time she tries. Much like her old days in peewee hockey like when she was first trying to skate, except it hurts more these days as she is much heavier and hits the ice with more force. Faceplanting onto the ice isn't fun as it is a hard and painful substance to hit your nose against with force. Riley is surprised that she hasn't broken it yet since it keeps happening. Just to be safe she has decided to keep a doctor close by at the side of the ice rink, so that if she gets injured someone can tend to her injuries straight away. This has boosted her confidence which in turn has meant she is falling over less.
  5. Welcome to the press conference for the 4th - 10th January. Happy New Year all. Hope this will be a good one. Please remember that you only need to answer 6 questions to get your 2 TPE. 1. You're asked to say something nice about one of the members on your team, what do you say about who? 2. Do you think that your player will come into good or bad luck this year, and why? 3. Ice Hockey is getting boring in an alternative hypothetical universe, what new rule do you implement to change things up? 4. Did your player do anything to celebrate the new year last week? 5. If your player owned a pokémon team, which 6 pokémon would be on it? 6. I know it is way ahead in the future, but what are your plans for your second player? 7. What will be your player's good luck charm for this year?
  6. As the weather gets colder, since January can be a pretty chilly time of year, Riley starts to find herself getting more and more sleepy. This means she must find plenty of ways to keep herself warm, so that she doesn't shut down during a hockey match. One of the ways she does this is by laying up her jerseys. If she wears 2 jerseys instead of 1 she will stay warm, even better she can wear 3. A further way that she keeps warm is by putting little heat pads inside of her boots, this keeps her toes from freezing. Once Riley is warmed up she feels that her limbs are looser and she can hit the puck with more accuracy. Staying warm is a key part of being a better player for her. She also makes sure not to become sleepy by drinking many monster energy drinks, all of the caffine helps her to stay awake for sure.
  7. Hello team, hope you had a good festive week and enjoyed yourselves. This is the press conference for the week of 28th December to 3rd January. Please remember that you only need to answer 6 questions to get your 2 TPE. 1. Is there an area of your players build where you feel like you are currently lacking, and how do you plan to improve? 2. Likewise, in which area of your build are you succeeding? 3. What is your player doing to celebrate the new year this Friday? 4. Does your player enjoy the fireworks, or do they find them to be off putting in any way? How come? 5. Since we're coming into the new year, what resolution are you planning to make for your player? 6. Did you get anything nice for christmas? 7. What blessings do you hope the new year will bring for you? 8. Your player has been chosen to give a speech to thank the team at our new years party, before we start the countdown to midnight, what do you say?
  8. Riley Couture spent her boxing day morning like any other, strapping on her skates and practising her shooting in the Ice rink in the city where she lives. She has a passion for training and she struggles to take out time to relax even on the festive holiday that is Boxing day. However, once it came to the afternoon she went back home to spend time with her family where she prepared them a large meal to celebrate the holiday. She cooked two types of meat that day; pork and turkey. She made this with some cheesy mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips and onion. It was a huge delicious meal that the family enjoyed but they were very stuffed afterwards. Which meant Riley felt better off taking a nap in the evening rather than working on lifting weights to build her muscles as she had planned to do previously. That night she dreamed of winning the finals and celebrating with her team.

  13. Welcome to the Halifax press conference for the 21st-27th December. Happy Holidays everyone. 1. Does your player like to relax over the Christmas break, or do they get stressed out when they aren't busy training? 2. Your player has been asked to take part in a charity event to give out gifts to all of the kids at the mall, what gift does your player choose out? 3. Have you been taking part in any festive events? 4. The holiday season is also about being greatful, is there a player on Halifax who you feel thankful to/for? 5. Do you wanna build a snow man? 6. What design is on the christmas cards that you're sending out to your Halifax team mates this year?
  14. No problem. The designer who created the ice pattern's code is MA-1855-5519-2125
  15. Riley Couture has dropped in promise this season, in the previous season when Riley was playing for Halifax 21st, she played 72 games and scored 90 points, that's 1.25 points per game. However, this season as Riley has moved up to the big leagues to play for the Vancouver Wolves, Riley has played 55 games so far where she has only managed to wrack up 18 points. This is around 0.3 points per game. So what went wrong for Riley? The answer is quite simple, during her time at Halifax Riley was a key player, but on Vancouver, she's surrounded by big timers. Because of this Riley has likely been played on one of the back lines, and has been played for fewer minutes than in her previous season. Meaning that although her skills have not waivered, she has not been able to play up to her full potential on this team. That's how the big leagues go.
