  1. With S86 just around the corner, we found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment who is back in Calgary for training camp. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you! How was your off season training? What are your thoughts heading into Season 86? AG: Hello. It was a mental challenge and physical workout. I received invite to join the Pro-AM games, but mentally and physically I was not ready. Hopefully I have gained some insights over the off season in preparation for the upcoming season. I feel Season 86 is going to be a tough season, but a good season. Reporter: What are your season expectations? What would make a good season because a great season for you? AG: I cannot expect much. Just got to play my game and work hard. If we do that, we'll see improvements from last season. I do hope to go deep in the playoffs and win this season though. Constant improvements and a better defensive play while improving offensively would be a very successful season in the making. Reporter: Best of luck in the season! Here to a successful fast start to S86! [Word count 196]

  3. We are midway through the S85 off season, with the VHL draft right around the corner we found time to speak with Warsaw Predators' AGM Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Good to see you! There's a lot of flux happening in Warsaw since the start of the off season? What are your thoughts on the state of the Warsaw Predators? RE: Hello. We have a good team. Unfortunately we have a few core players opting to test free agency, but there are always turnovers in hockey. We'll look at our options and move on from there. Reporter: GM @dlamb had announced that he would be stepping down. Any thoughts on taking on the GM role? How does this change things for Warsaw? RE: Yes, it is quite unfortunate. @dlamb has been a great mentor. I won't be applying for the GM position. Not the right time for me to take on the responsibility at this time. Here hoping I won't get replaced when a new boss is announced. We have a team of players in their final year of their deals, lots of option for the new boss. Team can go either ways. Reporter: Best of luck in the draft and next season! [Word count 206]

What is your go to shootout move? 4. Who is most likely to score a buzzer beating goal? 5. What type of goal do you typically score? (How do you normally score your goals?) 6. We have a strong NHL draft at the end of this season, would you say this is one season worth tanking?

  6. Wow! What an amazing article! I personally don't like reading "Centered writings" but a fantastic and informative read! I love how much information is used in this article, including all the important trades, the formation of the team, lines and decisions. Very good use of spacing, logos, structuring. Make it a very simple read. I love how you gave a short, but informative notation for every single player. So very informative! I have a much better idea of how and what the Vancouver Wolves did now! I keep hearing how good the Vancouver Wolves are for Season 85, but I haven't done any research myself. Now I don't need to do any research . 10/10 PS I did not know you could claim a media article 5 times.... I thought 4 was the max?
  7. Good read. Impressively written article. Well opinionated. Good spacing, but could have used Bold and italics for an easier and better read. Maybe could have also included TPE for each player. One TPE at when player was drafted and a second TPE posting for the end of season rating to show how the player has progressed through the season. Overall, a very good article and enjoyable read, especially for someone who doesn't follow players. I give it an unbiased 9/10.
  8. S85 Chicago Phoenix VS Calgary Wranglers Playoffs Preview and Overview The long awaited S85 VHL Playoffs have arrived! With the finish of the Wild Card Games, we can finally begin the real playoff games. We have a North American Conference matchup between the Top Seat Calgary Wranglers and the Wild Card Winners Chicago Phoenix. The Chicago Phoenix are red hot entering their series with the Calgary Wranglers, and we are bound for a very entertaining series given how tough and competitive the North American Conference is built! Let's have a quick look over the two teams' configuration! The Calgary Wranglers enter this series with probably the deepest forward group. They have the reigning Scoring and Points Champion in Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser, who led the league in S85 with 51 goals and 108 points. Daniel Janser is also a superb two-way player, being one of the best two-way forwards in the game. Calgary Wrangers' Saku Kotkakoivu @DollarAndADream leads the way for all forwards at 1240 TPA, Daniel Janser has 1166 TPA, both suppresses Chicago Phoenix's star forward The Board Game Clue On Skates @MubbleFubbles who stands at 1146 TPA. Baby Bob @Baby Boomer stands as Chicago Phoenix's number two at 938 TPA, and then the Calgary Wranglers' forward depth comes for the show. Each of Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877, Leondro Goncalves @leandrofg, and Luc Tessier @KC15 have over 860 TPA. They stand at 932 TPA, 869 TPA, and 930 TPA respectively. The Chicago Phoenix's next top gun is former First Overall Pick (in Season 83) Scotty Sundin @fromtheinside who stands in at 781 TPA. There are a lot of representations from the Season 82 and 83 draft classes in this Clash of North American Conference Semi-Finals. All in all, the Calgary Wranglers look to have an overwhelming advantage in the forwards group. On defense, we have a much better balanced matchup between the Calgary Wranglers and Chicago Phoenix. The Chicago Phoenix finished the S85 regular season with their two leading scorers as defensemen. They are Bo Johansson @Shindigs and Alessandro Nano @leafsman respectively. Bo Johansson led all defenders between the two teams in the regular season with 88 points (4th best offensive defensemen in S85) and stands as the best defenseman at 1143 TPA. Alessandro Nano follows suit at 824 TPA, finishing the regular season with 74 points, giving Chicago a formidable one two punch. The Calgary Wranglers actually don't lose out on this department. The Wranglers have two stud defenders of their own in former Jake Wylde Trophy winner (in S83) in AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment and Erlantz Jokinen @jRuutu. AirRig GoodBrandSun and Erlantz Jokinen finished 6th and 8th in the defensemen scoring leader board in the S85 regular season, with 87 and 78 points respectively. Erlantz Jokinen is Calgary's best defender at 1115 TPA and AirRig GoodBrandSun leads the second pairing at 919 TPA. The decision making on who has the better defense (on paper) going into the series between the Calgary Wranglers and the Chicago Phoenix ends with their 3rd and 4th defensemen. The Calgary Wranglers come in with two rookie defenders in Phil Strasmore @Phil and Marcel Janser @Morcar80 who comes at 477 TPA and 499 TPA respectively. The Chicago Phoenix have Juice Box @Siddhus and Seymour Butts @fonziGG filling their top 4. Juice Box and Seymour Butts both stand at respectable 528 TPA and 534 TPA respectively. With the added experience of both defenders, this give the Chicago Phoenix a slight edge in defense for the series. Lastly, we have perhaps the most important position for the playoffs, goaltending. Chicago Phoenix's Cole Pearce @N0HBDY is by far the better goaltender in the series, at least on paper. However, Calgary Wranglers' Ben Dahl @Ben did not lose out in terms of stats during the regular season, in fact they may be even better than Cole Pearce's regular season stats, but that might be due to the team's play in front. Cole Pearce is a VHL star goaltender at 1060 TPA giving the Chicago Phoenix a monster S82 trio in The Board Game Clue On Skates ( C ), Bo Johansson ( D ), and Cole Pearce ( G ), each being over 1000 TPA and stands at the apex of the VHL. Ben Dahl leads the rush for the Wranglers at 690 TPA (or should I say "69" 0 TPA ) The Calgary Wranglers also have a very respectable backup goaltender in Red Gaming @The Mustard Man, who was a force in the playoffs last season, as a rookie, for the Chicago Phoenix. Red Gaming has terrific numbers all season whenever he's put up for the task by GM @Ricer13 and stands at 435 TPA. Given that GM @Ricer13 will likely run with his favourite Ben Dahl, we are giving the goaltending edge to Cole Pearce and the Chicago Phoenix. In conclusion, for the overview and preview of the Season 85 VHL Playoffs series between the Chicago Phoenix and the Calgary Wranglers in the North American Conference Semi-Finals, we have an outlook for a very competitive series. Both teams are up and coming young teams looking to make the VHL North American Conference Conference Finals and perhaps even the VHL Finals. The Calgary Wranglers hold the statistically better forwards and offensive team, where as the Chicago Phoenix stands to be the better defensive and goaltending team. However, both teams may not have any issues putting the puck into the net. This could very well be a very high scoring series between the two teams! Both teams are focused on puck moving defenders to help lead the rush offensively, while the Calgary Wranglers also have a powerful offensive punch from the forwards. It would be up to Cole Pearce to see to shut the door against such a formidable offense that saw the Calgary Wranglers score 252 goals in the regular season and have 7 over point per game skaters: where all seven scored more than 10 goals, including three 30 goals scorers, one 40 goal scorer, and one 50 goal scorer in S85 regular season. Therefore, we conclude that going into the playoffs series between the Chicago Phoenix and Calgary Wranglers, the winner of this series could be a coin toss. The teams are rated equally on paper with the Calgary Wranglers being more offensive and the Chicago Phoenix being more defensive. The deciding factor will land on Chicago Phoenix's Cole Pearce's shoulders. If Cole Pearce can steal a game, the Chicago Phoenix have a great chance of winning this series and moving on to the North American Conference Conference finals. [Word Count 1095] [Claim for weeks ending 2022-10-30 and 2022-11-06] Author's notes: Yes, I know the playoffs are over, but I never got a chance to finish and post my playoffs series overview before the series
  9. The season is finally over for S85, we found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment who is currently spending his off season workout in Ottawa, Canada. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you! How is the off season for you? What are your plans for the off season? What are your goals for next season? AG: Hello. It is good to be back home for a change. There is going to be a lot to work on this off season. We have some changes in the locker room in Calgary, it's going to be a tougher season in S86. Got to prepare for to drive the play more and play much better defensively. Reporter: How do you plan to prepare yourself during the off season? Are you joining in to any Summer League action? AG: Playing off season prep games is always fun, but no I will not be joining into those games. I will be mostly doing off-ice training this off season. Need to work on my fundamentals and try to get back into the right side of defence. Lots to work on, so little time. Reporter: We look forward to seeing you in S86 and have a wonderful off season! [Word count 207]
  10. Warsaw Predators Press Conference Week Ending Sunday, November 06, 2022 Answer 3 for 1 TPE, all 6 for 2 TPE. 1. Season 85 is over, and we have a longer off season after taking the L early in the playoffs. What do you normally do during a longer off season? 2. Our VHL connects a multitude of countries around the globe, what is one city you would like the VHL to play a game in that is not already in the VHL? 3. How important is off season training? 4. What is one thing we lack as a team? 5. What is one thing the VHL lacks as a league? 6. What are your expectations for your player in Season 86?
  11. S85 VHL Third Featured Game We are back for more featured games highlight recaps! Our third featured game of S85 is Game 2 of the European Conference, Conference Finals between the visiting Moscow Menace (regular season 2nd seat) and the home team Warsaw Predators (regular season 1st seat). The Moscow Menace are off to a great start to the playoffs series, after stealing game one from the S84 defending champions with a 2 - 1 OT Win in Game One of the Best of Seven Conference Finals Series. The Warsaw Predators come out flying in game two, looking to even up the series. Blazing with speed and power, the Warsaw Predators forces back to back penalties from the Moscow Menace at 3:55 and 7:12 into the first period, respectively. Moscow Menace superstar goaltender Papa Emeritus @Beketov keeps the mighty Predators at bay as the Menace slowly woke up into the game. Jannik Nylen @DreMin15 scores for the Moscow Menace at 12:40 for their first goal of the playoffs, a power play goal which halted the rushing Warsaw Predators. Brian Payne @Scurvy answers for the Predators at 14:04, finally solving the impenetrable Papa Emeritus wall. Brian scores their 4th of the playoffs, tying the game 1 - 1. The first period ended with a 1 - 1 tie. The Warsaw Predators outshot 18 to 12, with the Moscow Menace catching back up in shots from having 3 straight power plays to end the period. Once again, we have a fast paced, high shooting, and rough playing game between the bitter rivals of Warsaw Predators and Moscow Menace. A mighty goaltender duel between Papa Emeritus and Warsaw's very own wall Wumbo @Fire Fletcher. No goals were scored in the second period. The Moscow Menace took control of this period as they outshot the Warsaw Predators 25 to 13. No goals were scored in the third period as well, as Warsaw came back to outshoot the Menace in the third period 14 to 7, and 45 to 44 so far into the game. And for the second straight game, the Warsaw Predators and Moscow Menace head into sudden death Overtime tied 1 - 1. (Now we have my interpretation of Overtime (I will not look at the actual "Full Play-to-Play and improvise with the shot clock timer Play-to-Play for a more entertaining interpretation of my OT) Kyosti Karjalainen @UnkemptCL4PTP wins the center ice face off for the Moscow Menace to start Sudden Death Overtime, to give the Menace first possession in the heavy heart beating period of game two. With the Moscow Menace starting the deadly extra time on the power play, the home crowd is roaring and chanting "Go Preds Go!" and "Defense! Defense!". Tavish DeGroot @rory sits nervously in the Penalty Box for the Warsaw Predators after taking a stupid Cross-checking penalty late in the third period at 18:51. The Moscow Menace crosses into the Predator's zone and AK92 Wit da Hoodie @hedgehog337 fires away wide of the Predators' net. AK92 Wit da Hoodie rallies their missed shot and cycles the puck in the Predators' zone, wasting valuable power play time. AK92 Wit da Hoodie shoots again! Wumbo has difficulty with the shot and becomes out of position, Hard Markinson @STZ with the rebound. (Why are both of the Menace's defense so close to the net?) Brendan Marner @MetalToday makes a game saving save with the shot block! Kyosti Karjalainen grabs the rebound and shoots.. save by Wumbo! Kyoshi Karjalinen with his own rebound.. save! Another rebound.. Sprawling save by Wumbo on the Hard Markinson shot! The home crowd goes wild, while a heavy breathing and immensely sweating Wumbo drinks from their water bottle, trying the catch their breath. GM @dlamb takes a sigh of relief in the GM booth press box high up in the arena, with a furious looking AGM @Rhynex Entertainment next to him. Clearly Rhynex Entertainment was not impressed with the Predators' defence and penalty kill. Zach Kisslinger II @Kisslinger wins the face off for the Predators and clears the puck down the ice, successfully killing off the Moscow Menace's power play. Sergey Preobrazhensky @Bulduray_1 quickly moves the puck back up the ice into the Predator's zone. Sergey Preobrazhenshy shoots! Wide of the net, off the back boards and right to Hard Markinson's stick. He shoots! He SCORESSSSSSSSS!!! It's over! Another Overtime Win for the Moscow Menace as the Menace steals another game 2 - 1 in Overtime! Hard Markinson scores their 3rd goal of the post season, 1:03 into Overtime. The Moscow Menace took all 5 shots in extra time as they outshot the Warsaw Predators 49 to 45 in game two. 3 Stars of the game (as voted by the commentators) 1 - Papa Emeritus (MOS) - 44 of 45 saves, 97.8% Save % with the Win, 0.98 GAA 2 - Wumbo (WAR) - 47 saves on 49 shots, 95.9% Save% in the Loss 3 - Brian Payne (WAR) - 1 goal, 9 shots, 3 hits, 3 blocked shots, +1 in 25:44 of play [Word Count 839]
  12. With an unsuccessful first round elimination of the Calgary Wranglers, we found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment to discuss about the past season and looking toward the future. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you! You've had a tough playoffs series against the Chicago Phoenix and end up getting eliminated in 6 games. What are your thoughts of this season's playoffs and what are your outlook for the future? AG: Hello. It's been a tough and disappointing season. We definitely did not play to our potential this series. I did not play well either. There's going to be quite some changes for GM @Ricer13 this coming off season due to cap crunch, so it's going to be a tough off season. In the meantime, it's time to work to re-vamp my defensive game. I have not played well defensively all season. Reporter: What are you hoping for in the off season that would help change your defensive game? AG: I've got to get back to the basics and work on my checking game. I cannot be letting people get past me like that. I need to be much more discipline as well. It's going to be a long off season, off to the gym I go. Reporter: We look forward to your future development and your refined game in S86! [Word count 227]
  13. Warsaw Predators Press Conference Week Ending Sunday, October 30, 2022 Answer 3 for 1 TPE, all 6 for 2 TPE. 1. How is your player doing so far in the playoffs? 2. Who (or which team) has been most surprising so far in the playoffs? 3. We are currently down 0-2 and getting embarrassed by Moscow, largely due to superb defense and goaltending by the Menace. What can we do to turn things around now that we lost 2 home games? 4. Assume you are entering your final year of VHL as a free agent, which team would you choose to sign for to finish your career? 5. What are your thoughts on the North American conference, where the top 2 seats are oust in the first round? 6. What are your thoughts of the early NHL season?
  14. The Season 85 VHL Regular Season has finally come to an end. We found time to speak with North American Conference Top Seat Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment who had a fantastic season after a disappointing sophomore season in S84. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you! You've finished 6th in scoring as a defenseman. How do you feel about your play this season? How are you feeling about the upcoming playoffs? AG: Hello. It's been a tough season. I've had a better season than last season, but there's still a lot for me to work on. I'm not happy with my defensive game and did not like how I ended the season. Playoffs is where we need to come and play. It's all business in the locker room, but all business is strictly not enough. Chicago is a tough opponent, we cannot take them lightly. Reporter: What have you been doing to prepare for the matchup with Chicago? AG: Just trying to bring the concentration level back to where it needs to be. Trying to get back to basics with the defensive game and get back to scoring offensively. Reporter: Best of luck in the playoffs! [Word count 200]
  15. S85 VHL Second Featured Game We are finally back for more featured games highlight recaps! Who would have thought that our second featured game of Season 85 would end up being the final game of the season! We are in Pro Day 120, game number 576, the final game of the VHL Regular Season in Season 85. We have a matchup between the European Conference leader (and League Leader) and the last place team of the North American Conference. The Warsaw Predators visit the Toronto Legion to close out the regular season before heading home to prepare for the start of the Season 85 VHL Playoffs and their Title Defence. The Toronto Legion did not have a very good season and are looking forward toward the upcoming draft in hopes for a quick and painless rebuild or retool to bring them back into the playoffs. Even though the season has already been lost, it is never a good thing to lose your final home game in front of your home crowd. You have to at least entertain the home crowd one last time before a long off season! Harry Hagel @jasplunds had the right idea as the Toronto Legion draws first blood early into the first period on the Power Play. Harry Hagel scores their 11th of the season at 3:13 into the game. The Toronto Legion showed a lot of heart and soul in this first period of Game 72 in their Season 85. In fact they out played the defending Champions Warsaw Predators. The Toronto Legion outshot the Warsaw Predators 11 to 10 and leads 1 - 0 after 20 minutes of play. To make things even better, their back up is in net. Things could not go much better than this! The Warsaw Predators came out of the gates in period number 2 with a vengeance! Brendan Marner @MetalToday and Johnny Xavier @Johnny_HX scores quick back to back goals for the Warsaw Predators to quickly take a 2 - 1 lead for the Predators. Brendan Marner scores their 37th of the season just 0:32 into the second period, and Johnny Xavier scores their 22nd moments later before a minute into the period at 0:58 to give the visiting Predators the lead. The Warsaw Predators have finally taken control of the game as Toronto Legion goaltender B-TOR G1 stood on their head to keep the Legion in the game. The Warsaw Predators lead 2 - 1 at the end of the second period, after outshooting the Toronto Legion 16 to 4 in the period. Girts Galvins @Girts extends the lead for the Warsaw Predators with their 27th of the season 5:34 into the third period to give the Predators a 3 - 1 lead. High intense pressure and tremendous (bot) goaltending keeps the Toronto Legion in the game and the game close. No new scoring happens to the rest of the regular season as the Warsaw Predators wins 3 - 1 while outshooting the Toronto Legion 13 to 7 in the third period, and 39 to 22 in the game. 3 Stars as proposed by the viewers in attendance: 1 - Brendan Marner (WAR) - 1 goal, 7 shots, 3 hits, 2 blocked shots, +2 2 - Wumbo (WAR) @Fire Fletcher - 21 of 22 saves, 95.5% Save% in win for 44th win of the season 3 - Girts Galvins (WAR) - 1 goal, 5 shots, +2 [Word count 569]

  18. Theme Week. It is time for a celebration of the work of arts of the General Managers I have played under and worked for. I have to say I have had the pleasure to play for many high profile individuals in different aspects of the VHL since I have found this paradise. From the first time clicking open Google Play and searching for Hockey Simulations and finding VHL, I did not know what I was getting myself into. However, due to my typically short term memory and horrible matching of face to the name, I have taken a bad habit to forget who is who and have definitely missed a lot of people in this glorious celebration. (Also please ignore all my nicknames I would be giving to celebrate these glorious GMs) The Superb Spartan @Spartan opened the world of VHL to me. GM @Spartan was the first person to introduce themselves to me here in the VHL and became the first to show me the ropes. Although GM @Spartan would end up not being my first ever GM, but GM @Spartan could and should definitely be considered as my first GM. I was drafted by someone into the VHLm before GM @Spartan had a chance to do so? But was quickly traded for by GM @Spartan to be a part of the Las Vegas Aces, all the way back in Season 73. To be honest, I do not even know who drafted me in the Season 73 VHLm dispersal draft. All I know, is that I did not even last more than a couple rounds in the draft before being traded. GM @Spartan has taught me the basics of the VHL. How to grow a player and the basics to making a player. Something I am still terrible at doing. Las Vegas Aces locker room was a beautiful place under the safeguard of GM @Spartan . It was a friendly environment that built the super regular season powerhouse of Season 74. The development of Rhynex Entertainment under the Superb Spartan's guidance led to my first ever award in the world of VHL. Rhynex Entertainment would forever be immortalized in the VHL world as a Vladimir Boomchenko Trophy Winner in Season 74. My first ever award in the VHL world that ended up as Rhynex Entertainment's only award in his tenure. Although we did not find the expected success of the playoffs, it was a fantastic two seasons under GM @Spartan . The second person I would express my gratitude to for their work of excellence in the world of VHL was actually not a GM of the VHL at the time. @dlamb holds the honour as the second GM to be named in my celebration of the GMs. GM @dlamb is someone who I @Rhynex Entertainmentcurrently work under for the Warsaw Predators and would remain as of right now the only GM to provide me with any kind of Victory Trophy. Although as management and not as a player. @dlamb first introduced to me as the AGM of the New York Americans in preparation for my first ever VHL draft in Season 74. I have learnt plenty from the Lamb Maestro. Under the shadows of the Lamb Maestro, Rhynex Entertainment followed up with a super rookie season, which I still regard as the Rookie of the Year season in Season 75. I still believe Rhynex Entertainment deserved the honours in Season 75, but it is what it is. GM @dlamb shows the hard working aspects of the VHL, taking on tasks and making life easy for the AGM. Although some might say that hard working is not entirely correct as there was the rumour that GM @dlamb did not actually do much in Season 84 as we (the Warsaw Predators) rose to dominance, becoming the VHL Champions. Now if you talk about experience, draft luck, but not winning luck, you would look not much further than the adventures of Rhynex Entertainment in the New York Americans jersey. I had experience all this from my first VHL GM, who was a Drunk Bird? GM @Esso2264 was a champion in our hearts and a mastermind of team building, on paper at least. We had a great team of young forwards, defence, and goaltending, but end up not going anywhere in New York, but it was a locker room to remember. An active locker room is a good locker room, and I have build a good friendship with those in these active locker rooms. A learnt a lot in player building from that Drunk Bird. In fact, while Rhynex Entertainment did not end up becoming anything special, under the guidance of GM @Esso2264 , Rhynex Entertainment was a career Point Per Game player in the VHL and a Franchise Player of the Original VHL Team of the New York Americans. As of right now, Rhynex Entertainment remains 3rd all time in Goals, 7th all time in Assists, and 4th all time in Points for the New York Americans, while playing 4th all time in the number of games with New York. I will finish off this article with one last GM, sorry I have left out a lot of GMs who deserves to be mentioned but there is just not too much to talk about apart from listing names. My current player, AirRig GoodBrandSun's GM @Ricer13 is another GM I would put in the Master Class. GM @Moon and GM @AJW are both Master Class GMs, but GM @Ricer13 had history with Rhynex Entertainment and it does not seem right to not include my current GM in the GM celebratory. GM @Ricer13 is a mastermind in team building. Both on paper and in the locker room, and on the ice although we have not seen the expertise in the VHL level yet. The Rice Man have been building winners since I could remember as Rhynex Entertainment and would even spend the time to answer questions and take an interview from someone who is not even playing for him. I have been learning a whole lot from GM @Ricer13 and have been receiving plenty of player building help. To be able to build an incredible active locker room and friendly environment is a major plus. Here to hoping the Rice Man GM @Ricer13 will bring me my first player Victory Trophy! 19. We are at the trade deadline of Season 85 in the VHL. We found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment who has stated the wish to improve his defensive game previously. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Great seeing you after another week of hockey! With trade deadline just around the corner, how do you feel your team has been playing? What could you do to improve your standings and help the fight for the playoffs? AG: Hello. We've had a tough week of hockey. I haven't been much help later. Need to tighten up defensively and shoot better. Quality over quantity. Or better yet, quality and quantity over just quantity. Reporter: You stated previously that you wanted to work on your defensive game, how has that been? AG: Definitely need to work harder. Haven't been great defensively and it shows on the scoreboard. Need to tighten things up and get back to the basics. Lots of hockey left. Got to play hard and get to playing to our potential. We need to get in front of those shots at both ends of the ice. Block the ones shot against @Ben and tip those against the opposition. Reporter: Best of luck in the final stretch of the season! [Word count 211]
  20. We are just past the midway point of Season 85. We found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Great seeing you after another week! You've continued your strong play this week! What are you doing right this season given that you've already broken past goals, assists and points from Season 84? AG: Hello. I've been pretty average with my game this season. Perhaps my expectations are too high? I've have been playing decently offensively but my defensive game, which I've been so proud of has been a pretty struggle this season. Lots of hockey left to work on my game, but definitely lots to work on both sides of the ice. Reporter: You keep on saying you've been struggling defensively, what aspects of your defensive game do you see you need to improve on? AG: Definitely need to work harder. I'm not taking the body as much as I should be able to. Shots are getting past me more often than I would like as well. I also need to get more discipline. Not helping the team when I'm always in the box. Reporter: I hope to see your quick improvements on both ends of the ice! Good luck! [Word count 208]
