Another week of hockey has gone by in the VHL in Season 85. We are a bit over a quarter way through the season and we found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Great seeing you after another week! You've had a tough start to the week and then things began to heat up for you! How do you feel about your game so far in S85? AG: Hello. It's been a rough season so far with my game. I've been having trouble keeping up with the play and taking unnecessary penalties. Got to take the game on a shift by shift basis and get back into shape. I'm not satisfy with where my game is so far this season. Lots to improve and work on. Reporter: You are point per game and in the league standing for defenseman and you're saying you need to improve your game? AG: Certainly! There is always a need to improve when it comes to hockey. As seen to the start of the week, I've struggle to find my game. Consistency is something I need to improve to become a true VHL vet. My defensive game is also not there. Need to tighten up my game defensively and be more free flowing offensively. I'm not where I feel I could be at yet. Reporter: In that case, we look to see your growth in the following weeks of hockey, Good luck! [Word count 246]

The first week of VHL hockey is finished in the VHL. We found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment to speak about the the season thus far. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you again! Season 85 has begun and a week of hockey has gone by. You've had a decent first week, what can you tell us about your first week of hockey in S85? AG: Hello. We have an active start to the season. We have players starting the season slower than others, it's a long season that goes by quickly so we have to make sure we get back on track and be consistent. We also need to look at downing the number of penalties. 30 PIMs in 10 games is a little bit too high for my liking. I need to be more disciplined. Reporter: Your teammate, Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877 had a tough week of hockey. How do you feel he's played? Any suggestions to help Landon's game? AG: Landon had a rough week. He's been doing all the right things, Points will come eventually, it's a sophomore thing. Just need to play through the pain and the sun will shine through the clouds. GM @Ricer13 will do his thing and change things up. We tend to start slow to the season anyways. We call it offseason rust. Reporter: Thank you! Best of luck in your next week! [Word count 238]

Veteran Presence - AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment Enter Season 85, the third season in the VHL for AirRig GoodBrandSun. One can finally say AirRig GoodBrandSun has finally started becoming a veteran on the relatively young Calgary Wranglers team. After riding a terrific first season in the VHL in Season 83, missing out slightly on the Rookie of the Year award and winning the S83 Jake Wylde Trophy instead, as the season's best defensive defenseman was an incredible experience. Maybe too incredible as it probably got to AirRig GoodBrandSun's head after AirRig GoodBrandSun seemed to have a suffered a deep fallback in Season 84. A true sophomore slump. But as the saying goes, you only learn when you have difficulties and make mistakes. And AirRig certainly made many and multiple mistakes in S84. On top of that, there were the additions of veteran leaders in Erlantz Jokinen @jRuutu and Asher Reinhart @rjfryman, two excellent defenders. AirRig GoodBrandSun certainly learnt many things from the two role models. Now, with the retirement of Asher Reinhart, AirRig GoodBrandSun looks to return to his former S83 self and take up the role of filling the big shoes left behind by the Asher Reinhart. The transformation from rookie "Pylon" with lack thereof in mobility and hands to a mobile "Pylon" who can't hit and get in front of anything, AirRig GoodBrandSun looks to provide stability to the Calgary Wranglers' defence and guide the new VHL rookies in Marcel Janser @Morcar80 and Phil Strasmore @Phil. Being big and strong like a tree is not everything in the VHL. You got to put everything together, that's the veteran way. AirRig GoodBrandSun has always been an effective and hardworking individual, working hard in practice every week and going through all the weekly trials (TPE). Certainly a good influence in the locker room. Perhaps, having the "A" in his second season was too much pressure for AirRig GoodBrandSun, but with Season 85 and another season under his belt and his incoming second season with the "A", things would look more smoother and more reliable. Perhaps AirRig GoodBrandSun could outgrow the display of wearing the Pylon to act as the "A". It's time to do the veteran thing and help carry the Calgary Wranglers to the long awaited Cup, while being the influencer and teacher in the locker room along the way. Not only is AirRig GoodBrandSun extending his presence on the ice, the presence off the ice is starting to shine as well!

The History of Alex Johnston
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Ricer13's topic in Archived Graphics/Videos
Review: As requested from @Ricer13 time for a strict? review. Nice use of light and colourful background colour to contrast the also light but nicely calligraphic name (shushhh I'm colour blind). Snow flakey display to go with shining sparkles in the background adds a pretty texture feeling as well. Good use of player distribution on display, not covering too much of each of the player pics beneath (except for the last one in the Davos uniform. I mean what gives, I can see the numbers alright for the first three, but what number is he wearing for Davos? Definitely 2. He's wearing Number 2. For the display of "evolution" of the history of Alex Johnson, could have maybe used a "growing up" display of the player for each uniform. An older version of the player wearing each jersey with the youngest being in front and oldest in the back? Or maybe Alex changed teams all the way to Davos in the same one season.. I should do my own research next time. All in all, a good and well done graphics Sig. As this is my first time reviewing a Graphics, let's see. I'll give it a......... 1 / 10 . . . . . . . . . . 10 / 10 -

Warsaw Predators Press Conference Week Ending Sunday, September 11th, 2022 Answer 3 for 1 TPE, all 6 for 2 TPE. 1. Which team appeared to have improved the most to start Season 85? 2. Tanking, is there even a point for such a thing? 3. Which team would be the most dangerous obstacle in our Season 85 title defense? 4. How were your S84 predictions? 5. How do you usually choose for your season predictions? 6. How many people did you invite to the game in your first ever VHL game as a player? -
After a tough end to the S84 season and a long off season of training, we found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment to speak about the upcoming season and training camp. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you again! You've had a tough sophomore season in S84, how have you prepared for the upcoming Season 85? AG: Hello. It has been a quiet off season of training. I've changed up my game somewhat at the end of last season and took time to condition myself over the off season to get use to the new playstyle. Reporter: What are you doing to help you over the hump and get back to how you played as a rookie in Season 83? AG: There's a lot to work on and a lot to learn. I'm still very early into my VHL career. Just signed a new extension contract to begin next season, so that's off the table and now I could focus on improving my game. Just got to return to the basics as I'm entering new territory with this new play style. My game is not the same as when I was a rookie, so hard to compare. Reporter: Best of luck in Season 85. We look forward to seeing your growth! [Word count 218]

With the S84 off season coming to a close and training camp in full bloom for Season 85, we found time to speak with Warsaw Assistant General Manager Rhynex Entertainment @Rhynex Entertainment to discuss about the upcoming VHL season. Reporter: Hello Rhynex! Nice to speak with you again! The new season is about to begin, what are your thoughts on your off season and how your team look entering Season 85? RE: Hello. It's been a refreshing off season. Title defence is always a tough task, but I feel we have a good team for the defence! Our d-core remains spectacular and will only improve. Salary cap is always going to be a problem, but you just got to let players grow into their own. Our defence can help cover for any mishaps we may have up front. We have a good team. Reporter: How did you spend your time with the Continental Cup? RE: Not much, I quick breeze through Vancouver with family and friends but Vancouver has seen the Cup come by a few times, didn't surprise the folks too much. Reporter: Thank you chatting with us! Best of luck in Season 85! [Word count 196]

Season 85 Calgary Wranglers Season Preview An end of another off season and the start of a new. It's that time of the year again! It's time to discuss the season preview of Season 85. We have a first look at the Season 85 training camp roster of the Calgary Wranglers. A team on the rise, but also a team which have been effectively overlooked after a subpar Season 84. First off, let's have a look at the team's forwards and offence. Coming back for Season 85 are veterans Daniel Janser @Daniel Janser, entering his 4th season with the Calgary Wranglers, and Saku Kotkakoivu @DollarAndADream , who would be entering his 5th season with the club. Also returning to the Calgary Wranglers are the seasoned vet Luc Tessier@KC15, and two young sophomores Leandro Goncalves @leandrofg and Landon Wolanin @jacobcarson877. Each returning for their second season with the Calgary Wranglers. Finally, the Calgary Wranglers add a new addition to the club, rookie center Sax Justice @Eso will take the reign of the final forward spot in the top 6 of the Calgary Wranglers. On paper, the Calgary Wranglers have a very deep forward group, with Saku Kotkakoivu leading the way at 1253 TPA. Saku Kotkakoivu is a former Season 83 Mike Szatkowski, Scotty Campbell, and Dustin Funk Trophies winner, and will look to bounce back to his MVP form after a relative human and down to Earth Season 84. Next up, we have Daniel Janser entering the season as the team's second 1k TPA forward, standing at 1025 TPA. Daniel Janser has been a point per game player for the Calgary Wranglers and is looking to have a career season as he is expecting to have a much bigger role with the Calgary Wranglers this season in Season 85. Luc Tessier will look for one last push for a Cup as he enters his final season of his VHL career. A veteran entering Season 85 at 869 TPA (1186 TPE), Luc Tessier was a former 48 goal, 106 points superstar Center. However age has not been nice for the vet as we find a nominal statistics decline over each of the past 3 seasons since his career season in Season 81. Luc Tessier was 5th in team scoring for the Calgary Wranglers in Season 84, and was tied with Saku Kotkakoivu for the team lead in goals scored for the season. Landon Wolanin, Calgary Wrangler's Season 83 13th overall selection, had a strong off season. After playing for Team USA at the World Cup of Hockey (S84), Landon has come out of the off season much stronger and appears ready to challenge in his sophomore season in the VHL. With 2 goals and 3 points in the World Cup playoffs, Landon Wolanin looks to bring his strong 778 TPA to good use for the Calgary Wranglers in Season 85. After a 23 goal, 45 point rookie season, Landon Wolanin looks to blossom as an offensive threat, being the only winger for the Calgary Wranglers. Leandro Goncalves, the 9th overall selection of the Calgary Wrangelrs in Season 83, looks to follow up on a strong rookie season where he finished with 24 goals and 42 points. Leandro Goncalves, like Landon Wolanin, also had a strong off season of training and looks to bring a new, sharpen edge to his game in Season 85. Already at 767 TPA, with 83 and 85 Scoring and Defence respectively, Leandro Goncalves look to be a driving force on offense on the second line of the Calgary Wranglers. Rookie Center Sax Justice looks forward to a strong rookie season. As an upcoming heavy slap shot sniper, Sax Justice will have a chance to play with the VHL elite forwards in Daniel Janser and Saku Kotkakoivu on the top line of the Calgary Wranglers. Sax Justice enters the season at 379 TPA and already has a respectable 74 and 71 Scoring and Defence respectively. Next, let's have a look at the Calgary Wranglers' defence. The Wranglers' defence has taken a step back from Season 84 with the retirement of Asher Reinhart @rjfryman, who was a point per game defenseman and 4th in team scoring in Season 84. Superstar defenseman Erlantz Jokinen @jRuutu will return for his fourth season with the Calgary Wranglers (second consecutive after spending a season with the Helsinki Titans in Season 83). AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment will also return to the Calgary Wranglers for his 3rd season in his young VHL career. Exit is Scoish Velociraptor Maloish @youloser1337, who had a nice rookie season for the Wranglers in Season 84, and enter comes two new rookies, Marcel Janser @Morcar80, the younger brother of Calgary Wranglers' superstar forward Daniel Janser, and also recent VHL S85 draftee Phil Strasmore @Phil. Erlantz Jokinen will once again be a strong presence for the Calgary Wranglers' backend. As a Top 5 defender in Season 84, and also second in team scoring for the Wranglers with 18 goals and 80 points in Season 84, the Calgary Wranglers will look for Erlantz Jokinen to have another spectacular season in Season 85 in order to stay competitive in the North American conference. Entering Season 85 as a 1101 TPA (1309 TPE) defenseman, Erlantz Jokinen remains a monsterous defensive force in the VHL. AirRig GoodBrandSun will have to fill Asher Reinhart's big shoes in Season 85, and perhaps will have a bounce back season after a disastrous sophomore season in season 84. As a former Season 83 Jake Wylde Trophy winner as the Top Defensive Defenseman as a rookie in Season 83, AirRig GoodBrandSun took a step back with less ice time in Season 84. In hoping for a much better season in Season 85, the former 5th overall selection in the Season 83 VHL draft enters Season 85 at 790 TPA. AirRig GoodBrandSun will enter the season with a different makeup as previous seasons, while still a defensive juggernaut with 87 Defence, AirRig GoodBrandSun will be more agile than the previous two seasons. The Calgary Wranglers will need AirRig GoodBrandSun to return to his rookie, Defensive Defenseman of the Year form in order to be a dominate threat in the North American conference. After spending 2 seasons in the VHLM and an additional 3 seasons developing in the VHLE, Marcel Janser will finally debut in the VHL for the Calgary Wranglers in Season 85. Entering the season at 459 TPA, Marcel Janser is a defensive defenseman with limited scoring touch (54 Scoring and 77 Defence), although had performed relatively well in the VHLE in each of the three seasons. The Calgary Wranglers will need Marcel to play well defensively in order to succeed in Season 85. Lastly, we have Phil Strasmore, the recent 3rd Overall Selection in the Season 85 VHL draft. As a Top 3 Pick, Phil Strasmore is given a chance to play for the Big Club right off the bat. Already at 337 TPA with 60 Scoring and 74 Defence, the Calgary Wranglers look for rapid improvements from Phil Strasmore throughout the season in Season 85. As long as Phil stay the course and play well defensively, the Calgary Wranglers will be able to stay competitive in the North American conference. Finally, let's talk about the final line of defence of the Calgary Wranglers, the goaltenders. Ben Dahl @Ben, returns for his 3rd season with the Calgary Wranglers. In addition, the Wranglers also added a backup for Season 85, in Red Gaming @Lilpfigher. Ben Dahl was the former Season 83 Christian Stolzschweiger Trophy winner, as the Rookie of the Year in Season 83. After a subpar and underwhelming Season 84, Ben Dahl looks to come back strong in Season 85. At 675 TPA heading into the season in Season 85, goaltending may once again be the weakest link for the Calgary Wranglers. The Wranglers will need Ben Dahl to return to the form where he won the Rookie of the Year if they wish to be dominant in the North American conference. As added insurance, the Calgary Wranglers picked up Red Gaming for Season 85. Red Gaming enters the season as a sophomore with 439 TPA. Red Gaming had a fantastic playoffs statistics in Season 84 with the Chicago Phoenix, and looks to steal some games away from Ben Dahl in Season 85. Overall, the Calgary Wranglers will enter Season 85 as one of the best up and coming young teams. The Calgary Wranglers have one of the best young offensive Top 6's in the VHL, and one of the deepest forwards core. With two 1k forwards along with basically three 800 forwards to fill out 5 of the top 6 positions, the Wranglers offense look to be quite potent, while being good at both ends of the ice. Defensively, the Calgary Wranglers have a solid one-two punch in Erlantz Jokinen and AirRig GoodBrandSun, but having two rookies on the backend also puts a big question mark for the season. Finally, in the net, the Calgary Wranglers have an above average tandem. Who will take over the net for the season in Season 85 is still up in the air. Ben Dahl will likely start the season, but Red Gaming could very well take over the starting position if Ben falters. All in all, the Calgary Wranglers look to be a team that one cannot overlook and underestimate. The Calgary Wranglers could be a surprising team in Season 85, and may be considered as an underrated and dark horse of Season 85. I Name the Best Player from 15 YEARS of Draft Classes
Rhynex Entertainment replied to Gustav's topic in Archived Media Spots
REVIEW: Great article! Very long read and very interesting opinions. Interesting to see that every rank between 1st overall to 10th overall has been a "Best Player of the Draft", except for 8th overall. There is no Best Player at 8th, I guess. Also interesting to see that there are a few later Best Player picks over the years including two 18th Overall Best Player of the Drafts. I think it's too early to tell for the most recent couple seasons, but I could see goaltenders getting a nice competitive edge over skaters as we keep going forward due to the extra higher level in TPA equivalencies given the Hybrid system takes down skaters a notch. I wonder what your thoughts are toward the Best Players All-time Ranking using your list of Best Players of each season? Good use of spacing and sentence structure. Good use of paragraphing. Could add a bit more colour. 9.9/10 -
The Season 84 VHL playoffs are finally over for the Calgary Wranglers. We found time to speak with Calgary Wranglers sophomore defenseman AirRig GoodBrandSun @Rhynex Entertainment, whose team has been eliminated by the D.C. Dragons. Reporter: Hello AirRig! Good to see you! After a tremendous series in against the Toronto Legion in the Wildcard games, you suffered a defeat from the hands of the Top Seat Dragons. What were your thoughts of the series? AG: Hello. Yes, D.C. had our number this series. We played hard and somehow came out short each game. We will be better next season. Reporter: What are your plans for the off season? How do you plan to be better for next season after a tough sophomore season? AG: There's a lot for me to work on. I have to improve my all around game, whether it's offensively, defensively, skating and handling, there's always room to improve. It's a long road ahead, we'll be even better next season. Looking forward to having a much better season statistically in S85. Reporter: Have an enjoyable off season, looking forward to speaking with you at S85 training camp! [Word count 191]
