  1. Review: In another article, someone said that It can’t give you 10/10 for this because no one’s perfect’. Let’s say this: this is pretty close to perfect. Easy to read, with bold and colourful subtitles and lots of paragraphs. Also, beautiful job giving tons of info on every single player. This is as close to perfect as you can get. 9.9/10
  2. I was just reading @Spence King’s great article on a possible expansion franchise on the VHLM, and I was intrigued. There is a really good reason for expansion. There is one glaring issue in the league right now that has sparked all this clamouring first expansion. It is the influx of new players from social media platforms such as YouTube and Facebook. The VHL has put some energy into marketing on these platforms, and the result is thirty or so new recruits. Only problem? The teams in the M are getting full. There is a maximum player limit on teams, and a lot of teams have reached theirs. For example, at the start of the season, the Houston Bulls had four skaters and a goalie. That was because of mass graduation to the VHL. At first, the small influx was a miracle to the barren Bulls, who have recruited lots of waiver players. But now, even they have had to turn players down because of the limit. So, the problem we have right now is that some players have no team, because all the other teams have run out of space. Players need spots on teams to play, and that isn’t available right now. So what is the consensus solution? Expansion. In Spence King’s article, he claims that there are a bunch of cities that would kill to have a VHLM team. And he also claimed that he had secured jersey rights, logo rights, and an arena somewhere. He also suggested himself for the position. In accordance to his comments, I also believe that there are plenty of cities capable of hosting a VHLM team. For example, on the comments of Spence King’s article, @GrittyIsKing09 suggested the Buffalo Battalion as a good name. I actually really like this name, as Buffalo is a certified hockey town currently without a VHL or VHLM team, and ‘Battalion’ fits their mantra of naming every one of their sports teams something in relation to buffalos. And I bet there will be plenty more great team names out there, so I will ask right now for the readers to post their favoured expansion franchise name in the comments. Thank you, and excuse me for sounding like a YouTuber here. Now, let’s look at the downside. The reason the M commissioners haven’t authorized an expansion already. This reason is a banger. The concern about it the expansion revolves around the influx stopping, which is almost inevitable. Let’s say the Battalion are created, and build their team through the dispersal draft and the odd waiver pickup. So far so good, right? Wrong. If the influx stops, which has a high possibility eventually, there will be more and more teams like the Bulls that struggle to ice a full team. And remember, the Miami Marauders are still a very new team here, and the league is feeling the pull of that expansion. So, bottom line: as of right now, teams are full to the brim, and good players are playing on the fourth line. For example, my player, Sheldon Juniper, is 90 TPE before I claim for this. He is playing on the fourth line for the Marauders, who aren’t a very strong team. This is exhibited again with my friend @Suzuki14, who’s player, Victor Foles, who is 88 TPE, is playing on the fourth line of the Mexico City Kings. This isn’t the fault of the GMs, especially not the fault of mine, @Ricer13, who’s been a great guy to me. It’s technically the fault of the influx, and as of right now, there is no clear solution to this mess. The title of this article says ‘my thoughts’. So I’m going to give you my thoughts. Here’s my take-the season is almost over, and the playoffs are pretty much set. I think we should tell the newbies to sit tight and wait it out for a bit, because the draft is right around the corner. And VHL graduation is real as ever, so that will open up a lot of spots. Bottom line: we should wait until after the draft before making any rash decisions. By then, we’ll know the amount of players we need to cater to, and if we actually need an expansion franchise. Thanks for reading. 713 words
  3. Review: You make a really good case, and if I was a commish of the M, I would definitely consider an expansion. A great article, and on the future, maybe do some more paragraphs so it’s easier to read. 9/10
  4. 1. I think if we keep beating higher ranked teams, we can for sure do it 2. I think Addison McLaren and Cabe McJake are getting TPE insanely fast, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they have careers in the VHL 3. It would be neat to be a goalie. I know the earner many spots, but it’s a unique position 4. Honestly, I wouldn’t change it. It’s so perfect 5. Baseball because three quarters of the time they’re standing there doing nothing 6. I have a dog, and for sure am a dog person
  5. Review: All around great article. As a fellow Habs fan, I also loved Kovalev and am very excited for Suzuki and KK. Great description of your player, and I love the reference to the U16s. 9/10
  6. Thanks for the tip. Thank you, it took a while lol
  7. 1. Honestly, it’s a win-win for me. If we make the playoffs, great. Thats our main goal. If not, we will get a good draft pick 2. I think with one quarter left in the season, we should either decide to sell or to buy based on our position in the standings. 3. I love ours, but I think the Hounds is the best. 4. Since we’re struggling, I think it was a great move to improve our chances for next year 5. Has to be yogurt and a granola bar. Protein blast 6. Christmas because you get a bunch of stuff you want for free
  8. I'm new on this site. How many weeks can I claim for this for?
  9. In this article, I'm going to look at some of the top scorers in the VHLM and how they affect their team. I've found that most of the top scorers come form these teams: the Halifax 21st, the Las Vegas Aces, and the Yukon Rush. Uncoincidentally, those three teams are the best three teams in the VHLM as of October 2nd. I'm going to look at ten of the top scorers in the VHLM, providing info on how they got to where they are and what they excel at. 1. Brian Strong Jr. In only two seasons in the league, Strong has established himself as one of the marquee names of the VHLM. With more than a goal per game and more than two points per game, Strong and his Yukon Rush have often outscored their opponents. Strong has elite scoring, defense, and puck handling to go along with impressive skating. Right now, there aren't many players in the league that opposing teams fear more than Brian Strong Jr. 2. Florent Vericel Strong's linemate on the offensively stacked Rush is just as if not more well-rounded than his superstar teammate. While Strong has plugged tons of TPE into uber-important areas such as scoring and defense, Vericel has spread his TPE out more evenly, having above average skating, strength, scoring, puck handling, defense, and passing. Vericel has proven his worth as a scoring winger in three seasons, and now he, Strong, and the Rush will go for the Founders' Cup 3. Taro Tsujimoto The well-named center for the Mississauga Hounds has ripped up the VHLM in his second season in the league. With 26 goals and more than two points per game, Tsujimoto has practically carried the Hounds to a middle of the pack spot in the Eastern Conference. While Tsujimoto dazzles at the offensive end of the ice, his defensive game had really come along, making him a true 200-foot player. His puck handling and skating also make him a threat anywhere, anytime on the ice. 4. Gary Rush The incredibly skilled Rush has found his groove in his third season in the league with the Las Vegas Aces, with 28 goals and 61 points. At 6'3 and 200 pounds, it's scary for defencemen to have Rush barreling down the wing, because there's not much that will stop him from achieving his goal of scoring. Rush has adept scoring, defense, puck handling, and skating, and has phenomenal chemistry with his linemates. 5. Michael Hall When a team is watching video of Michael Hall before a game, they notice that he's very efficient at scoring. His goal totals may have taken a little slide this season, but he has made up for it with an improvement in playmaking. Hall also has one of the best defensive games in the league, as well as very good skating and puck handling. Hall and the Halifax 21st have steamrolled the competition, routinely forming blow-outs against weaker teams. 6. Chris Foley At only five foot five, the center for the Mexico City Kings may not seem like a player who has a huge impact on the game. But Foley is thick as a fire hydrant at 200 pounds, and boy, he can pass the puck. Foley has more than an assist per game while racking up nineteen goals. And while the Kings struggle in the standings, Foley continues to improve his overall game. He is one of the most complete players in the VHLM, with over 60 TPE in scoring, skating, faceoffs, strength, passing, defense, and puck handling. 7. Chris Reynolds Gary Rush's linemate on the Aces, Reynolds has helped the Aces to second place in the Western Conference with his elite scoring and defense. Reynolds also has very good skating, passing, and puck handling. At 6'6 and 210 pounds, Reynolds is a force to be reckoned with in front of the net and on the wall. He also has a mind-blowing +44 plus/minus to go with his 23 goals and 54 points. 8. RJ Thatcher Foley's compadre on the Mexico City Kings, Thatcher has funneled all of his TPE into scoring, defense, and skating, making him a two-way machine on the ice. He has found more than point per game point totals in his second season with the Kings, with 24 goals and 49 points. 9. Alex Zouzouambe A right wing for the Yukon Rush, Zouzouambe has surprisingly low TPE levels for a player with 18 goals and 46 points. He has a huge impact at the offensive end of the ice, with loads of TPE put into scoring, passing, puck handling, and skating. And at 6'3 and 220 pounds, the Slovenian winger is rarely knocked off the puck. 10. Rhynex Entertainment Yet another member of the Las Vegas Aces' top line is Entertainment, who is only sixteen years old and has managed 15 goals and 44 points. At 268 TPE, and with high TPE in scoring, puck handling, defense, skating, and faceoffs, Entertainment will be ready to step into the VHL as soon as next year. 844 words
  10. Thanks a ton for the offer, it feels amazing to be a part of this amazing league. I've ultimately decided to join @Ricer13 and the Miami Marauders, but I would like to thank you for reaching out and wish you luck this season.
  11. I accept! I would love to join the Marauders. Thanks for taking the time to offer me a spot, I really appreciate it. Thanks again, and I hope to be on the ice soon!
  12. Comparable to the NHL Minnesota Wild. What needs to happen here is the management deciding to either go full rebuild or full champion. My honest opinion is that it should be in management's best interests to go full rebuild and get lots of high picks. It usually works out well eventually Well written. Good job with bold words and links. Stats are also a nice touch. well put into short paragraphs. 8/10
