Credits - Debits = Go Brrrrr??? The "VHL Expenses" sheet has not been updated since 2013/2014, so we don't know how much it costs to run the VHL per month. According to @Higgins old posts (come back buddy), it costed anywhere from $33 to $65 a month to run the VHL website and pay expenses. The VHL is currently sitting on a surplus of a few thousand dollars thanks to our large member base being very charitable in donations. Exactly how much money the VHL has is unknown and is not public, nor the VHL's cost per month. I know we recently spent a few hundred dollars on logos or maybe even a thousand, but again no expenses are listed anywhere so this is just based on rumor and hearsay rather than anything transparent. Overall we have a lot of fuzzy logic when it comes to VHL donations, and costs, akin to how Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad tried to get Jesse Pinkman to use a Salon for his money laundering. VHL legend @sterling pays for the VHL domain expense each month through his Paypal, as he is in contact with blue team every so often to make sure payments are successfully handled. Rumor has it that blue team is trying to find an alternative way to do this so that Sterling can sleep in peace, as he isn't really active in VHL anymore and is kind enough to help pay to keep us functioning. This is where I could pull a Gorlab and attack the character of our blue team members, and wonder whether they are indeed taking VHL donation funds for their own purposes. I do trust the integrity of our blue members and do not think anything shady is actually going on. However, all the pieces are in place for someone at any point in the future to misallocate some VHL funds, and no one has any idea how much money the VHL is taking in or what the expenses are. This leads me to my next point as to why Beaviss so quietly and suddenly left the VHL - he discovered that someone was abusing the VHL funds, and threatened to make this information public. Upon finding this information out, blue team members told Beaviss they hired the best hitman west of the Mississippi, and would promptly take him out should he ever make the VHL citizens aware of their ponzi scheme. In case you can't read sarcasm, this entire last paragraph is not actually true and I just need to get to 450 words. Would be a cool plot for a VHL movie though. Lastly, I know that a lot of VHL donations have gone to our charity drives which is arguably one of the greatest parts of the VHL. But again we have no accounting for it. I hope everyone enjoyed my rambling especially Victor because he always checks in with great opinions on these articles and he is a really smart, wise, and intelligent man. For real on Beaviss though, it does suck that he is leaving as he has done a ton for the VHL community and is a nice guy.

Imagine if a VHL GM benched his 600 tpe defensemen for a few games in favor of a retired 200 tpe career vhlmer because of his veteran heavyness block shots ness. Well guess what, the reason why a player accumulates so many blocked shots and hits is because that means his team never has the puck. This is in reference to Flyers coach AV purposely healthy scratching Shayne Gostisbhere for 3 games in a row in exchange for AHL defensemen 35 year old Nate Prosser. Prosser directly led to 3 goals against last game because he kept coughing up the puck and treating it like a grenade in the defensive zone. This relates to VHL because a good defensemen isn't just about hitting and defense - he needs to be able to get the puck the F out of his zone and drive play the other way or he is worthless. 1) Victor is as close of a friend as you can get on a fake sim league. I have actually met him in real life and am Facebook friends with him. Hope he sticks around cause he is the best 2) Me getting traded from London to Moscow definitely grabbed my interest. Once upon a time many years ago I used to hit the view new content button like 20 times a day on VHL, which was funny because there was only like 20 posts in a day with like 10 members online. Now things are much different as I only check in on the site like once or twice a day and am overwhelmed every time I hit the view new content button. I miss quality threads like the trade thread that was locked for absolutely no reason (there were no personal attacks going on at all). We have gotten too soft in locking threads as there is a difference in calling someone a traitor for demanding to be traded and saying they are a terrible person who is ugly and should die. Speaking of ugly, Victor is no longer the GM of Moscow and I get traded to Moscow like a week later. I honestly wish I had stayed on London, but if I had to be traded to any team Moscow would be up there among top teams I would like to play for. Davos is up there too.

On day one of Beavis's commish tenure our controversy with SBA affiliation started, so naturally a few days before Beaviss stepped down Gorlab created a controversy accusing Beketov of rigging the sims and insulting a certain member's wife. Beaviss and other blue team members really put up with a lot of our shit for some reason lol, and no amount of tpe can really pay for it. Being blue team must be like a part time job for most of them except they get no real life compenstation for it. Speaking of the end of an era, perhaps Victor can be the model for what Beaviss can become. Victor's days of being a hardcore commish seem over (though he might have applied again?). Perhaps Beaviss can be successful sticking to Gming and just looking at whatever hobbies appeal to his mind. But who am I kidding Victor eats Beaviss for lunch when it comes to Gming

Having been in the league on and off for almost a decade I've been burned out for a while, but it doesn't take that much work to do welfare + practice facility + 590 + press conference a week - like 10 minutes. So I do it and check in and hang out. But I honestly couldn't name more than 5 players in the VHL right now lol, I rarely check in on the games other than a quick look at Malones stats. If London makes playoffs I start checking the threads a bit more

This can apply to any age unfortunately. There are plenty of 16 year olds with way better critical thinking skills than a 50 year old because some people just want to stick with whatever their side or group says without questioning it
