In a trade that shocked most VHLians, the Calgary Wranglers sent Hans WinGod to the Riga Reign in exchange for goaltender Bernie Gow, Riga's S48 1st, and Griffon Simmons. Why would Calgary trade a future hall of fame goalie might you ask? Well I shall provide a few reasons: 1) Calgary's roster has unfortunately become old and inactive. I plan on discussing this in a media spot sometime, but Cote, Hill, Clardy, Hyvarinen, etc all used to be much more active, with Hyvarinen the only player remaining who is kind of active. The team has gotten old and I foresaw a rebuild in the future. WinGod told me he didn't want to do a sign and trade, and I understood his reasoning, so I traded him now so I can still get something in return for him. 2) Bernie Gow will give me long term flexibility at goalie, as he is my brother and the iron throne is ours by birthright. 3) S48 1st should prove to be pretty good as the S48 draft has a lot of good prospects already 4) Munk told me to
