  1. @BanackockYou're 100% correct in what you've written above. People are so caught up in this entire conspiracy theory mindset. It's as if they look for a conspiracy in EVERYTHING that they dislike. Like, I'm sure if Biden claimed he loved Mountain Dew over 7-Up they would start a a CT that Biden was being paid under the table by "Big Soda" to promote Mountain Dew because they are being paid by China to keep the drugs within it in circulation. Like, look...I made this up in 2 seconds and I can GUARANTEE that if I shared it on social media it would become popular, trending, and "fact" within a day. It's a sad world we live in. The same people that told me as a kid not to believe everything I read on the internet are now believing everything they read on the internet. The people that I work with often find themselves caught up in conspiracy theories and an idolization of Trump/Biden. Like you've said, many people have lost the ability to think for themselves, and instead, fall into this trap of herd thinking. The same people calling one another "sheep" are also sheep themselves, and not in a good way. People have lost the ability to recognize that they are caught in a political trap, trusting that their beloved candidate will magically save them from all of life's woes and worries. Politics has become a vicious, hungry, and jealous god that people worship while it crushes them beneath its heel.
  2. Drafted 21st for VHLM and 36th for VHL, not too shabby!

  4. I think this is a great graphic! The swapping colors between the "Cabe" and "McJake" look sick, and I like gritty appearance of McJake in this picture. I will echo @Dolanthere and say that I'd prefer it without the blue border. I'm not sure you really need a border, but nonetheless, amazing job! 09/10
  5. 1. I am incredibly excited to be a Marauder. I'm sure it'll be a great team to play for during my rookie season. 2. My expectations are high, as they should be. I believe that S75 is the season for the Marauders! 3. I expect this season to be one where Thadius Sales makes a lasting impression on the VHL. As a rookie and first gen player he has a lot to prove. 4. I'm incredibly excited to see Cabe McJake @RedSus come to Miami as the 3rd Overall pick. I'm also eager to see how many shots Martin Master @Martin Bradac is willing to take for me! 5. Pittsburgh Penguins, baby! 6. I'm a casual NFL and MLB fan. I don't know many of the players on my favorite teams, but I enjoy watching my teams play/win. Odd enough, I am a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Pirates, AND the Philadelphia Eagles. I like to spread my Pennsylvania love.
  6. Quite honestly this has to be the single-most amazing piece of media work to have ever graced the presence of the internet. By the end of the first sentence I was weeping with joy, anticipation, and frankly I was just overwhelmed by it all. Even though it lacked in grammar and spelling accuracy, it was an incredible experience and every word made me quiver to the deepest parts of my soul. 10/10 would read again (while sitting on the dryer)
  7. Haha why are you sorry?
  8. Honorable Mention? Alright, I'll take it!
  9. So, now people are talking about how in 2000 Gore went a month thinking he was the President-Elect.

  11. @Beaviss you eyeing me up like... ?️??️
  12. I'm sure most of you are aware of this already, but man tensions are high. All of my democrat friends are elated on Facebook. Most of their posts are centered around how the republicans acted four years ago, and saying things such as "if only you flew more Trump flags from your truck." There is an increased amount of teasing and saying "trust the process, it works." My republican friends seem to be focusing on "election fraud" because "votes keep magically coming in." They seem to have forgotten that there are mail-in ballots and that when Trump said that they shouldn't vote by mail, practically no republican did. So, of course the incoming mail-in ballots are Biden. These republican friends are also sharing things such as "It's November 2020, gas prices are $2.18/gallon..." and so on. With that they are sharing memes that say things like "The democrats who cried 4 years ago about collusion are now saying 'trust the system.'" Really, this happens every time the presidency changes parties. The winning side "trusts the process" while the losing side cries corruption. Accusations fly, lies are told, and balance is, well, unbalanced. Crazy process.
  13. MSNBC said that a new batch of votes were reported in Arizona. Trump needed to secure 59% of those votes, he only got 52%. They also just said they expect a report from Clark County, Nevada (Vegas) at 12pm EST.
  14. Unfortunately, I feel like the 2020 Election will not simmer down on things to discuss for a few months lol I wonder how many pages this forum will get to...?
  15. I took this screenshot myself... https://imgur.com/a/ER4ax9b
  16. I'm a firm believer that our entire government has actually done us dirty. Trump's just the most recent pawn in their overall game lol
  17. I edited the topic, thanks everyone! https://vhlforum.com/topic/94558-american-presidential-election-talk/
  18. True. But, when you have two sides that oppose each other so greatly and in exaggerated manners it may not actually be alarmist. Today, Republicans and Democrats (in the more extreme cases) will argue back and forth that the other side is "evil" and that they "hate America." Republicans claim that Democrats want a Socialist nation, that they hate the American way of life, and that they value the world over the US. The Democrats respond by saying that Republicans only value Judea-Christian people, the economy, and that they hate anyone different. As these extreme views continue to grow, and they continue to dehumanize the opposite side, it becomes easier to respond and act with pointed violence. People are constantly referring to opposing people as "sub-human." When Kyle Rittenhouse shot those protestors (whether or not it was self-defense is beside the point) the extreme Republicans responded with things like "Thank God," "You should have shot more," or even "Maybe now they'll learn." All I'm saying is while it could be a bit alarmist, to some degree I don't think it is.
  19. Right. Getting rid of a simple "pop" is not that hard lol.
  20. Ahh. Well the video that is circulating goes on beyond what it shares (shocker) and Biden clarifies his statement saying that it was a lie Trump was going to spread...
  21. If you keep watching you can see the original video
