  1. 1. My favorite part about the draft was being drafted 2. I plan on building a defensive defenseman, a valuable piece to any team. 3. I could see myself spending 2 seasons ideally, maybe 3 at the latest. 4. My favorite sport to play is Basketball, but my favorite sport ever is Hockey obviously. 5. I haven’t watched many hockey movies, but Goon is pretty good. 6. My favorite pizza topping is sweet peppers and pineapple does not belong on pizza.
  2. Does need to be in dark mode to be read, I apologize about that.
  3. 1. I personally think Juan deserves playoff MVP, he was terrific in all the right places. 2. I don’t know much about High Roller, so I can’t really speak on it. 3. I think anyone that earns consistently will eventually see it pay off. 4. I plan to enter the draft and plan in the VHLM. 5. I have gotten a few interviews, and I can say I will play for any team that drafts me. 6. I think the awards will go to those who deserve them the most.
  4. HC Davos Dynamo I honestly think it's a cool and unique look, especially combined with the rarity of purple in modern sports uniforms and logos. The only complaint I have for this logo is that it looks eerily similar to the Colorado Rockies (MLB Baseball), but I think it is a good logo nevertheless. I would be glad to play under this banner, a solid 8/10. Moscow Menace I personally love the Moscow logo, and not just because Spartan is one of my favorite people in the entirety of VHL. I think it is a great look for Moscow’s finest, the details surrounding the facial structure and the crown are some of the best the VHL has to offer. I give Moscow a 9/10 in conclusion, a great logo. New York Americans The Americans logo is the first logo I will criticize for being basic, even if it does a good job representing the team. In the end I believe a logo update would greatly benefit the Americans and their identity, but I don’t think the logo is completely terrible, the shield certainly is symbolic. I give the Americans a 3/10. Calgary Wranglers I actually very much like Calgary’s logo. It is a great representation of the city of Calgary and its history, as well having many good designs that help it along the way. While I feel the old Calgary logo lacked personality, this one definitely redefines the logo, and is a deserved update. I give this logo an 8/10 in the end, because I simply just admire it. D.C Dragons I honestly respect DC’s logo and where they were trying to go, but I can’t find anywhere special for it in my heart. It feels too much like a generic NHL22 expansion franchise for me to feel attached or remember the logo. I can’t deny the art on the dragon looks nice, and I personally love wordmarks. I also give DC a 5/10. London United I honestly like London’s logo. I think it does a great job capturing the England tone, which should be the goal of any logo and their team. I don’t like it enough to give it a very high ranking though, I feel like there is something small missing in this logo that could elevate it. A respectable 6/10 for London. Seattle Bears The Bears logo is a rare result of simplicity and logic being great. The bear itself may lack a huge personality, but being the center of the logo supported by its wordmark and shield certainly does help it out. I can’t help but think of what this logo could be with a few tweaks and changes though, 4/10. Los Angeles Stars The Stars logo isn’t overly complicated, but for what it is meant to accomplish it serves its purpose very well. I only dislike it because of what more the design could be, but it isn’t a bad logo at all. While it is simplistic, I can’t help but at least give LA a 5/10. Prague Phantons I think the Phantoms have a neat and unique logo, but other than that I do not think it stands out design wise. The color scheme is nice and corresponds well with the overall art scheme of the logo, but I don’t believe it does so much as to compete with the elite VHL logos. I give the Phantoms a 3/10. Toronto Legion Toronto’s logo is another case of simplicity paying off. I love the overall design and centric nature of the bird and wordmark, but again I don’t think it does so much that it makes Toronto’s logo stand out among the elite (similar to Prague I know). I think a redesign of the bird or a logo remake entirely would greatly benefit Toronto, but it isn’t entirely terrible as it is. 4/10. Malmo Nighthawks The only big complaint I have of the Nighthawks logo is the similarities it shares with the DC Dragons logo. While they are different in color scheme, the wordmark pattern and overall art design of the hawk reminds me of the dragon, it almost feels like a feeder team to DC logo wise. Still, similar to DC I think it is a respectable 5/10. Riga Reign Riga probably has my personal favorite logo aside from Moscow in the entire VHL. The lion looks like a true predator, the artwork almost resonates a royal vibe with it through and through. I think whoever designed this logo did a perfect job, and for that I give them a 9/10. Helsiniki Titans I think the Titans have a good logo, but not a great logo. The artwork is very simple but benefits from it in a way. Similar to DC and Malmo the Helsinki logo reminds me a lot of the Toronto Legion, but I like it a lot more than Toronto’s with a better logo art design. I give Helsinki a good 7/10. Vancouver Wolves I dislike Vancouver’s logo, but not because it is bad. I feel like the shield background could be much more, and the wolf could have so much more personality in its howl. This almost feels like a white Arizona Coyotes logo, which is one of my least favorite NHL logos. 4/10 because it isn’t entirely terrible. Warsaw Predators Warsaw has a unique and good logo in many ways. The unique artwork and animal design makes it one of my personal favorites, the logo feels like it has genuine personality while not doing much. Balance can be very difficult, but I feel like Warsaw did an excellent job here. 8/10 is a good spot for Warsaw.

  6. 1) I wish to capitalize off of a promising rookie season, I want to earn Tipton a larger contract and possibly a bigger role in the future. 2) I’d like to say I am prepared. Team World’s experience definitely got me back used to being an active locker room presence. 3) I’d think the team is great. We aren’t the best, but we have promise and hope! I’m excited to see how we do going forward. 4) Blue 5) Honestly surprised Aatu Raty fell so far, but I don’t keep up with many prospects. All I know is that this draft was supposed to be weaker than normal. 6) I think we’ll improve in time, but our biggest problem is development. We have to develop now to be better in the long term.
  7. Quick PSA, yes this will probably be the only article I do for a while. Why? I’m pretty bad at these. I just felt like I needed to do one, especially going into my 4th season with somebody who isn’t even supposed to be in the VHL. Who? Shaggy Tipton. Yeah I know, you probably don’t know who he is. He’s a pretty cool dude. He’s played for 3 teams his entire career. Signed from waivers by the Aces, drafted by the Kings, and finally signed by the Menace. He has a pretty cool story, just like your player does! Wanna hear about it? No? Well then why are you here? ————— ————— The First Season ————— ————— Tipton’s first season was nothing special. In fact, it was probably worse than most VHLM players. Signed off of waivers by the Las Vegas Aces he played a total of 37 games. In 37 games his first season Tipton had 2 points, 1 goal and 1 assist. He was overjoyed alongside GM Spartan, who was probably surprised to see this midseason waiver player do much of anything. Unsurprisingly he did nothing after that, or in the playoffs. After his first season with the Aces Shaggy would enter the draft, only having 2 reasons why a team should select him. A goal and an assist. ————— ————— The Second Season ————— ————— Unfortunately Shaggy could not return to the Aces, as he was passed on by them in the draft and instead selected by the Mexico City Kings. The Kings and Tipton mutually agreed to change his position to defense before he even played a single game for them, a very controversial move. Surprisingly Shaggy was a solid pick, and was a good anchor for a very questionable Kings defense. Soon, the defense that was going to hold the Kings back, became one of their soundest roster spots. With their defense stabilized, the Kings would go on to become one of the best teams in the League. By the end of the season, they soundly made the postseason, and in his first season as a defenseman Tipton performed astronomically better. In his first full VHLM season, Tipton had 13 goals and 36 assists for a total of 49 points. The King’s magic continued, as they fought their way to the Founder’s Cup Finals, achieving ultimate victory over the dominant Houston Bulls. In their playoff run, with 15 games played total Tipton would put up 2 goals and 10 assists for 12 points total. Despite this, he would yet again go undrafted in the VHL Draft. Instead of testing his luck he decided to sign with the Moscow Menace as a prospect, which he saw as a safe option to ensure he would at least play in the VHL. ————— ————— The Third Season ————— ————— After their magical cup victory the Mexico City Kings were forced to rebuild, with a large portion of their championship core leaving for the VHL. Shaggy Tipton did not leave. He decided he would stay another season with Mexico. At the start of the season the King’s troubles were revealed. A horrible start led to the star defenseman being traded to a land he knew all too well. The shining lights of Las Vegas. In 8 games with Mexico City Tipton put up very good numbers. 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points total in that short time period. Now back in Vegas, Tipton would lead the defense he once sat behind. His skill as a special teams player was also revealed, as he was a reliable. power play scorer. Tipton led Vegas to the S77 Playoffs alongside a starlit offense, and by the end of the season he ended with trophy ambitions. In only 64 games for the Aces, Shaggy would score 27 goals and 60 assists, having 87 points in his second tenure with Vegas. in 72 games played that season Tipton ended with 98 points total. Needless to say, Tipton won the Ryan Sullivan Trophy, and continued his trophy campaign into the playoffs with Vegas. In 9 playoff games Tipton scored an even 6 goals and assists, ending with 12 points in the playoffs. The top heavy Vegas was unable to win the cup they had grasped seasons before, and many more of their core were departing. This time, Tipton was not staying. ————— ————— The VHL ————— ————— Tipton was viewed as a potential future winger anchor for the Menace in his first season, but now he was brought up with the goal of being a defensive assistant. Tipton would do just that in his first season, and alongside rookie Hard Markinson he was a member of one of the best rookie teams in Moscow. In his first full VHL Season, Tipton supplied respectable offense and lackluster defense. With 5 goals and 28 assists, he logged a point total of 33 in his rookie season. ————— ————— The Present ————— ————— With promising growth, and a top 10 rookie finish, Tipton’s game is certainly looking good going into the future. The sky would be the limit, but TPE is actually the limit here. One could only wonder how good he would be if his owner would do more than Welfare
  8. 1. I think we drafted very good. Spartan has always been very good at drafting, I have confidence in our prospects. 2. I don’t really follow trades that often, so I can’t tell you much on the Letang trade. I’m sure it’ll be fine though. 3. Tipton was a solid piece for Team World, not great, but he was definitely serviceable. I expect to get similar results this season. 4. I definitely think adding another goaltender or forward would help us control the scoreboards more. 5. I think we’ll be about the same, but if we don’t take some steps forward soon I’d be pretty concerned. 6. I definitely see Hard Markinson having an even better season. He had a great rookie season and I’d love to see him follow it up with something better.
  9. Make sure to update (all jokes lol, have fun)
  10. I know a lot of people reading this article will ask me a few things exactly: Who is Shaggy Tipton? Why is he relevant? Wasn’t he out of the league? Well, this post is going to inform you as to why Tipton is important, and why he is going to be the STEAL OF THE DRAFT. —————————— Recently Shaggy Tipton was drafted late in the 4th round by the Mexico City Kings, following going undrafted in the professionals draft. He was later signed as a prospect to the Moscow Menace however, so his future is all set. In his first season with the Las Vegas Aces Tipton put up poor stats, with 1 shot, 1 assist, and 2 total points. The one stat that did stand out was his hits however, as he had 14 hits total that season. It was perhaps his physicality that set him apart, but he showed promise. Following being drafted Tipton has converted to a Defenseman, making his 4th round pick look like a steal when compared to other Defenseman that went off of the board. Currently sitting at 150TPE, Tipton’s quiet season and low stats helped him lay low, but obviously not low enough for the Mexico City Kings to forget to snatch him in the 4th. And as a steady gainer, gaining about 6 to 8 per week, it can only be expected that Tipton will get better as his career progresses. This, and many more, is why I am considering him the STEAL OF THE DRAFT. totally not biased.
