1. What are your players plans for the holidays?

Nessie will be visiting her only remaining relative Champ. They will eat a meal of sushi and enjoy their time together scaring local tourists. 

2. What are your plans for the holidays?

Thad and I will be going to church, have a peaceful Xmas morning just the two of us, and then have family over for Xmas lunch/dinner. 

3. If you could get rid of one NHL team, who would it be and why?

I have no clue. 

4. What is your least favourite sport?

I don’t really care for basketball.

5. What is the weirdest thing you have eaten?

I ate some lobster eyes, I don’t think it gets weirder than that.

6. What does your perfect day look like?

Any day I get to spend with the hubby is perfect. Maybe add in some good hiking and ice cream.

Maybe Ragnar. It’s pretty typical Viking name. He’d have lots of braids in his hair and one heck of a beard. Not too cartoonish, but not too realistic, just right. 

6.      The theme week this past week was life after the VHL, I want to change it up and ask about life before the VHL. When you were little what did you want to be when you were older?

I had many dream careers, including a janitor, ballerina, light house keeper, park ranger, bakery owner, and more.

1.      We have been a little hot stretch recently, what do you think the main reason is that we have been able to start winning more games?

I think everyone is working hard to get that TPE and management is working hard to make good lines. 

2.      Does your player have any pregame rituals? If so, what are they?

Nessie loves to eat her sushi and listen to bag pipe metal. 

3.      Is your VHL character inspired by any NHL players’ playstyle? If so, who?

Nope. She is one of a kind. 

4.      What VHLE team do you think have the best and worst logo?

The Vikings are clearly the best, and I’m not sure I have a team I think is the worst logo. 

5.      Do you feel like there is a teammate you have developed some line chemistry with this season?

No one player is particular. 

6.      If you did Halloween when you were younger, what was your favourite costume? If you didn’t do Halloween, what is your favourite candy?

I was obsessed with Mulan. I think I was her for two or three years.

Great first graphic! I like how you used the logo and the player. I do think that with the logo blurred and then the effect you put on the player is just a lot going on. Just choose one effect or make the logo transparent instead of blurred if you want it to blend in more. 
 

Oh and great touch adding logo to the jersey. 7/10. 

1. How does it feel to be playing for Stockholm for this inaugural VHLE season? 
Getting to be a Viking… I’m really feeling the effects of masculinity right now! I wanna go to war.  

2. What are you looking forward to this season?

Getting to know some new teammates and continuing to work with old teammates like @Eldredman

3. How do you think your player will adjust to their move to Stockholm?

I think Nessie will become a bigger better beast.

4. What are your expectations for this season?

I expect to win. New league needs new champions and those champions will be the Vikings. 

5. Is there anything you want me to know?

I have the hots for you. 

6. If you could have picked your own team, where would you have wanted to go in the VHLE?

Week ending 30 May 2021

1. How are you feeling about your current 9-4 record?

Not a bad start! The season could go any which way, but we have a hard working team. 

2. Do you think San Diego will get a shot at the Cup this season?

I think it’s VERY possible. 

3. Would you be interested in joining our teams Podcast, Inside the Fish Tank?

Yes! As long as I don’t have to interact with Elderman.

4. Do you have a favorite hockey team? 

PENS. If I said anything else my husband would divorce me. 

5. What are you looking forward to the most this season?

Looking forward to another season of team bonding and hype. 

6. Are you happy with how your player is doing so far?

Yes? But I would like to start earning max amount of TPE again to help my player do even better.

1. Are you excited to start S77?

I'm uber excited! It'll be my second season, but now I actually understand what is going on. 

2. Did you get picked by a team in the draft or hoping for a wavier?

Pretty happy to be drafted. 

3. What are your expectations this season?

I expect some awesome team building and hopefully as my TPE improves so will my player.

4. Do you have a special plan for your player?

Nothing specific, I would like to write more media spots about Nessie but I need to brainstorm some ideas.

5. Did you experience the DRAFT HYPE?

It was pretty fun watching both drafts and the suspense and excited buzz that went on in chats.

6. If there is something you think the management should work on this Season, what would it be and why?

I can't think of anything specific. 

Whoa! A graphic of ME?? I feel so honored and it looks SO good

Review: This graphic is unique and I love that you chose to go black and white (which I haven't seen too much in VHL graphics). The background of an Ariel with lights was such a cool idea and the font goes perfectly. Your player is a little blurry and I wonder if you played with the contrast and light, if it would help the black and white of the player with the background black and white. Overall great job, 9/10. 

Review: What a cool and unique looking graphic. I like the effect you chose, makes it look more like a painting and really pulls you in/puts the focus on the players facial features. I also like the fonts you chose, they really go with the overall look of the graphic. The only thing you could add would be to include the teams logo somewhere, maybe transparent in the blank space of the upper right hand corner or at least the team name. Great job! I would give it a 9/10.

1. What is your favorite part about the Off-Season?

I've enjoyed pestering GM @thadthrasherwith a billion questions about how the drafts work.

2. Is there is a special place you go to unwind after a stressful season?

I have enjoyed unwinding by robbing, slapping, and fighting other players in the dank-memer chat.

3. Did this season go as planned for you?

I didn't really have a plan, being my first season I was lost for a while but now I gor 

4. What are you aspirations for this upcoming season?

My aspiration has been and will always be to have more TPE than @Eldredman.

5. Are you excited for the S77 Draft?

Fo sho! Ready to see exactly how this madness works.

6. If there is something you think the management should work on this Off-Season, what would it be and why?

Some team bonding/ way for everyone to get to know each other when the season starts.

The most exciting part of the VHL is the community that forms around a love of hockey. The ever changing teams, the friendships, the bonds... it's beautiful.

I'm not playing for anyone at the moment, but playing for the San Diego Marlins was pretty LIT last season.

3. Everyone has a pre-game ritual. What is yours?

Swim around, scare some people, eat some fish.

4. Is there any music you listen to to pump you up for a game? Do you have a playlist?

Nothing gets me more pumped than some traditional Scottish bagpipe jams. Reminds me of home.

5. If there was any other sport you could play what would it be?

I would be a swimmer, but they often see players with fins as cheaters. 

6. What's the worst hockey-related injury your player has endured?

I am a very THICC lady, but my neck is not as protected as the rest of my blubbery bod. The worst injury was a sprained neck after getting it caught in a neck hole.

Review: Great graphic, I like the colors, textures, and how zoomed in it is on the player, making him the focal point. It does look like things got a little wonky with the helmet shield and hair, it looks very pixelated. The guy in the background on the left also threw me off a little. Overall good job on the graphic,  I would give it a 7/10.

Review: I like your graphic, especially the powder explosion in the background of the full body player shot. I think this one graphic may be better split into two. I liked the colored section and black and white section, but didn't see how they went together. There is also a lot of white background showing, maybe you could expand the graphics and fill in more empty space. Very good job, 7.5/10.

Review: Such a unique idea! I like that you chose to do it easier for newer players. It gives new players a chance to search for answers and learn new things about the league they may not have found out on their own. I wonder if you could also make this into a word doc or PDF and that would improve the quality/ease for printing it out. Either way, such a good idea 10/10! 

Review: Your graphic is really good. I really like the colors you picked and the font. My favorite part is the outline around the words and the player, added great 3D depth to a 2D picture. My only negative comment is that it seems very blurry, if there is some way to improve the quality of the picture that’d be great. Overall 9/10, great work.

1. What are your player's plans during this off-season?

Nessie is thinking of taking a trip to Lake Champlain in Vermont to visit her cousin Champ. She is hoping it will still be cold enough for them to play on hockey on the frozen lake. 

2. Halloween was just a few days ago, did your player dress up and go trick-or-treating? Did they eat any candy?

Due to Nessies large THICC body no costume fits her and due to the fact she is a monster no one believes she is real. As for the candy.. she thought she may like Swedish fish but when they weren’t fish flavored, she gave up on trying any more candy. 

3. After a long, hard fought season, a player can often forget about mental health. What are you (or your player) doing to maintain sanity?

Nessie takes a lot of mental health breaks by swimming. Sometimes you gotta just keep swimming. 

4. If your player needed to take on a part-time job during the off-season, what would it be?

Nessie loves the idea of working in a haunted house during the fall off season. She loves seeing humans shriek in terror. 

5. Are there any changes you'd like to see happen for S75?

No, just want to keep kicking butt and taking names. 

6. As professional hockey players, we know that a well-balanced diet is important. One of the most important pieces of that diet is protein. What's your favorite cut of steak, and how do you like it done (raw --- well-done, in between)?

Nessie prefers fish.. but if she had to eat steak it would be as raw as can be.
