So btw, Kendrick is signing with us and is willing to do a second year as a mutual option.
 
That was my big addition.  I will probably move Hamilton out for something but as of now, we are cap compliant regardless.
 
I haven't decided lines but once I move St. Pierre to D, I can do..

Jenkins - Finn - Dragonslayer
 
Free - Snatch
LSP - Klingberg

Our forwards aren't as good as NY's...frankly they are too young, but look at that potential going forward.  4 S52 or S53 players...Gowecny just entering that prime and Kohler can be a strong veteran presence that runs the offense.
 
Defensively we have Snatch as our youth piece but still is one of our best options.  Our defense is definitely better than NY's...it really isn't that close.
 
In net we are similar to them..DeGrath vs. Power.
 
I legitimately think that we can win the cup.  At the very least, I don't think anyone can really beat us in the EU as of yet.  Helsinki could make a push but we'll see what they do about their goaltending situation.

Obviously we have a ton of cap space to play with so we have a lot of options here.  One of our 1st rounders will definitely be up..the other probably not but who knows.  I'll be looking to surround the youth well too.  Regardless, a lot to look forward to here.  @Kylrad has progressed nicely and will be up as he's approaching 200 TPE.  @Molholt is digging holes and taking souls.  @Smarch is arguably the best young defender in the league and @STZ is as solid of a young goalie as we could have.
 
I believe @Harry F'n Hans is back too so welcome back.  Keep improving and you'll be up soon.  Damien could also make the team if he comes back and claims a bunch of stuff.

Wow, so this is the end. Almost eight years and all of the bullshit. I was actually going to wait til the World Cup but quite frankly what's the point and I don't think anyone's even thought about organising that. Not worth it.
 
Greg Clegane turned out to be the perfect farewell tour. Pretty decent considering I earned like 40% of his TPE before the draft. No regrets + CLEGANEBOWL. But I had made up my mind a while ago. I had almost left in S46, then again in like S50, and well it really shouldn't be a shock to anyone. I haven't actually put effort in for a year and a half.
 
I'd do a shout-out list for everyone but there's too many to name. I have had so many great interactions over the years but it's time to cut ties. I mean, I don't have to, but I think it's what I need in my life. Plus I could never be a welfare player, my ego demands instant gratification.
 
Of course many people have left before, some silently, some publicly, to return anyway. Without doubt I'll still be popping in. But I started in 2009 in Canada and since then I have slowly and surely removed all connections to that life – mainly the hockey sites. This was the last one.
 
And if I had to pick out one highlight it wouldn't be all the great locker rooms, the time as commish, the GMing, or the Thunderdome fights. No, it's the endless joke about me being an old man. I never revealed my age, for a good reason at the start, but then it just became amusing to see everyone add at least 5 years to me. FFS guys, I'm only 21 in March.
