Had to chuckle at the Inker Belle entry

"Hey Inker, don't you have better things to do than play games?" Inker Belle's condo downstairs neighbor Jessica says as Inker passes by her with a video game in her hand "like say, talk to scouts and things like that?" "Oh yeah, but I've talked to plenty of scouts and there is plenty of time before the draft, so let me have some fun here!" Inker says, pouting a bit. "What game is that anyways?" "The new VHL game!" Inker smiles as she shows off the game cover "I'm going to make myself in the game and try to be the best player I can be in the career mode on a harder difficulty!" "Ohhh" Jessica says a bit uncertainly "well good luck with that" "Wait what do you mean by that?" Inker asks, her head tilting. "Ehh you'll see, don't worry about it right now. Have fun with it Inker!" Jessica waves her goodbye as she goes into her apartment. Inker stares at the door for a moment before shrugging and heading up the stairs up to her own apartment. A couple of hours later, Jessica heard loud cussing coming from Inkers apartment, and walked up there to see what was up. "Hey Inker, are you ok?" Jessica peaked into the apartment to see a fuming Inker standing in front of her TV. "No I'm not!" Inker yells, before trying to lower her voice "this *expletive* game keeps screwing me! No game has made me this upset before and I've played Elden Ring to the end!" "That's what I was trying to warn you about Inker" Jessica sighs, a hint of amusement in her voice " VHL on the hardest difficulty isn't just hard, it's completely unfair. Elden Ring is hard as well, but can be learned at least" "Well *expletive* it, I'm doing playing it for now" Inker says as she lays down on the couch and sighs "come on in if you want to" At that, Jessica walks into her apartment and sits down next to her "sorry that you have to see me like this..." "Ehh it's no problem" Jessica says as she pats Inker's tentacles gently "you should see me playing Dark Souls before I quit that game. Though I will say, I've never seen you that upset before, you've always seemed do happy-go-lucky." "I just hate things that are unfair" Inker says before she goes to grab something to drink "want anything? I got water, Dr.pepper, and fruit juice" "Just a water please" Jessica nods as Inker goes to grab them both some water bottles. When she comes back to the couch and starts drinking from her water bottle "you know I like challenging myself as I believe life is not fun without some sort of challenge, am I right?" "Yeah, but only if that challenge doesn't stress you out" Jessica says after taking a swig "maybe you should play something less stressful and relax, huh?" "...my animal crossing village needs me I guess, let me show you how I decorated my house there" "Sounds fun, I'd love to see it" Jessica smiles as Inker goes to turn the game on.

Accidentally angry reacted when I met to heart whoops. I'm doing my best with Inker Belle, and it would be interesting to see her in a freezing environment

"Hey this is San Diego Sports Radio with Joey Johnson, here to bring all the latest news in San Diego sports!" Joey says as he prepares the next segment of his weekly show "and I am here with a future star of the VHL and a current Marlins play in Inker Belle!" "Hey there humans!" Inker Belle says cheerfully into the microphone "I hope everyone out there is having the best day they can! Let's be positive today and try toake our days just a bit better" "Yeah that probably would help the world, but not everyone can be as positive as you Inker" Joey chuckles "so how has it been as an Inkling in a humans world?" "Well it's mostly been good, sometimes people take some convincing that I am an adult even with my drivers license" Inker shrugs "and another weird thing is that I've met some people who are actually a bit scared of us inklings" "Wow really?" Joey says "you don't look that scary to me" "Well my teeth may be part of it" she opens her mouth to revel two sharp teeth on top of her mouth and one on the bottom "but I think that fears and phobias can be pretty illogical anyways. I actually study psychology in my downtime" "Oh you do?" Joey asks, surprised "no offense but I wouldn't take you as much of a psychology girl, but than again I look more like a tattoo artist than a radio DJ" "I actually looked into getting a tattoo of a rose or a sun or something, but since my skin is not made out of the same substance as humans I am bit concerned about how my skin would react to the tattoo ink. But yeah, I sometimes get bored by myself at the condo and just want something to do. So why not train my brain while I wait for things to do?" "Yeah that does sound like a good idea. So if I understand right, you are going to be staying in Sam Diego for another season after the draft?" "Well according to my GM I still need some training before I start going up a league, and honestly I kind of agree with him. I have been a bit behind some of the other players when it comes to improving on the ice, but I am trying my best." Inker then looks a bit wistful "adjusting myself to the humans level of play has been a bit of a challenge, but I do feel like with one more season of training I can get to the point where I am truly ready for the next step." "Ok one final question from you Inker: what is your favorite part of San Diego?' "The beach!" Inker says excitedly "I love sunbathing and just relaxing out in the sand. Plus I kinda like making fancy sand castles! Oh and I love trying out new restaurants as well" "Well alright Inker that is all the time we have for this interview, so we hope to get another interview with you next season before you get called up!" Joey offers a handshake as Inker prepared to get up "Me too, this was fun!" Inker says as she gives Joey a handshake.

"Hey all you humans! My name is Inker Belle and I am an Inkling from Inkopolis! I am also a draft candidate in the upcoming VHL draft. When I was getting drafted into the VHLM, I looked at the various draft city locations and told you what I thought about them. Well, why not do that with the VHL too? So in this article I will be looking at the cities of a few VHL draft destinations and letting you know what I know about them and how I feel about them. This will probably be a multi part article and I might even do one for the VHLE, so let's get started! First of all I will talk about the Chicago Phoenix. I didn't know what a Phoenix was so I went and looked it up and apparently it's a mythical immortal fire bird? That is actually a pretty cool thing to make your team after! Now I know that Chicago is called the Windy City and it can get pretty cold up there, and I also know that Chicago style pizza looks really good. I love trying out different kinds of food, so that would be right up my alley! Other than that, I am not too familiar with the area of Chicago, but it does look cool! Now from the chill of Chicago to the heat of Los Angeles with the LA Stars. The city of Los Angeles is where a bunch of movies get made, and you can also meet a lot of cool movies stars there! I also love watching humans surf and I love the beach so that is cool too! I would say that Los Angeles is too hot for a ice hockey team, but I play for a team in San Diego so what do I know? I would think about being a movie star myself, but even my own family have let me know that my acting skills are unfortunately not that good. Next up is the classy city of London in England where the London United play! I'm a bit surprised that the United don't play in the VHLE, but hey the conference is called the European conference so again what do I know? I actually do enjoy some tea sometimes and London is full of amazing history to look through like the Tower of London, where apparently a lot of bad stuff happened. Also I will say that I like the look of the UK flag, and the United look like they have used it in a cool way in their logo as well. And it looks like that is all the teams I will talk about this week. I know that I haven't been talking to you humans that much during the season, but I have been so busy getting used to life as a full time hockey player that I have not found any time to sit down and write! But anyways, I really hope that you enjoyed this article and I hope that I will see you in the next one!" Aheh this media is a bit late

A lot of people stared at Inker Belle. It was hard to blame them, as not only is the Inkling well, an Inkling, she seems to be fascinated by the more mundane humans stuff. "Wow there is food in these shells?" Inker asks as she breaks a peanut shell. "Oh they are good!" She smiles as munches on a few of them, getting more stares. Inker was honestly used to humans staring at her, and she was a bit insecure about being interested in so many human things "aheh I'll stay quiet now..." "Hey don't worry little squid" a man in front of her says "if you're going to be a hockey player, you're going to have to get used to stares. The fact that you're not human makes this problem tenfold." "Thanks for the advice" Inker says sheepishly "but who are you?" "Call me Armani. Armani Calamari. I am a retired VHL player" "Oh wow! How was your time in the VHL? And what a cool last name!" Inker says before she could really stop herself, being amazed to randomly meet a retired player in some random plane ride to San Diego. "It was fun. I never really won a championship in the big leagues, but I did win a title in the Euro league!" Armani smiles "I am from Toronto, but I'm here with my family on vacation. I have heard of you, the project player for the Marlins. Lots of pressure there" "Unfortunately that makes me feel worse" Inker admits "I have felt pretty self conscious about the whole thing" "Yeah your nervousness reminds me of when I entered the league, but it gets easier with practice trust me. The attention gets easier to deal with as long as you keep a level head, and being by yourself gets easier as well. Then again, I met my wife in Europe, so I was not that alone. Still, get some friends and get friendly with your teammates." "Thanks again for the advice" Inker smiles a bit before they put on the seatbelts for the landing. Inker waves goodbye to Armani before getting in the provided car with the driver. "Was that Armani Calamari?" The driver says as she gets in. "Oh yeah you heard of him?" Inker asks with a smile. "Yeah, he had a rough time towards the end of his career on a personal level that made him retire. I remember keeping up with his playing days, and right now he seems content in retirement." "Well at least he is happy now" Inker shrugs "His father passing didn't help, but it looks like he has healed." "Heh, I didn't know my father" Inker sighs "he left my mom to become a sailor and never really came back" "That's... Unfortunate" the driver says before they get on the road. Inker looks around the city of San Diego with amazement as they go "this city is great for sightseeing" "I can imagine" Inker smiles "Now I will be dropping you off at your new condo, where you'll be staying until you are drafted by your VHL and VHLE team." "I understand. I am ready to show the league what I can do!" Inker smiles, determined. "Heh heh, I'm sure you will."

Mostly seafood

"Hi all you humans! My name is Inker Belle and I am an Inkling! I live in Inkopolis and I am so excited to play in the VHLM! So to show how excited I am, I think that a fun thing to will be to review each location of the teams I could be drafted to in the upcoming VHLM draft. Now I actually don't know much about these teams and thier players, but I think just talking about where each team is located in will be fun as well! I'll try to get to as many teams as I can within this short article. So let's get started: First place I will talk about is Houston where the Bulls are. I actually know what a bull is, and I think it is fascinating how humans were able to take such a large animal! But anyways, Houston looks like it is pretty warm, but I'm used to the heat as it gets pretty hot in Inkopolis. The state of Texas is absolutely huge as well, and it would take me forever to explore it all so I would just stick to exploring Houston and all it has to offer. I also heard your barbeque food is delicious, so I'm excited to try it! Next up is the San Diego Marlins, who I think have some pretty nice team colors. It's all fun and sun there from what I can see, with beaches and the sea and it reminds me so much of Inkopolis. Maybe I can get to Los Angeles on a visit from there in order to see some movie starts, but California looks pretty much as big of not bigger than Texas so maybe not. Still, if I went here I would not have to change my wardrobe as much so that would be a bonus! Changing it up to a place with a lot of snow during the winter, let's talk about the Ottawa Lynx. From what I understand, a Lynx is a type of cat, but I've never seen one myself. Are there a lot of them in Ottawa? I do think it's a pretty cool logo though. Anyways I heard that the winter in Ottawa can get pretty severe, but hey that just means I can finally have snowball fights! It doesn't really show that much in Inkopolis. Plus I really love wearing hoodies. I'm actually a bit fascinated that humans have different countries with different governments, as the leadership in Inkopolis is mostly all we have. The final one I will talk about at least for now is the Mexico City Kings. I've tried a lot of Mexican food, so tasting some authentic stuff would be amazing. Plus a lot of the festivals and dancing they have look fun to be in, though I would have to learn a new language so people can understand me. Learning English was tricky already, but I'm sure I can manage. I think the climate here is pretty warm as well. Just give me some Spanish lessons and some tequila and I think I will have fun here. Alright humans that is all the teams I have time to talk about here. Depending on when the draft is i might make a sequel to this, but until then I'll see you all later and stay fresh!"

"Inker Belle, why do you think humans are fascinating?" An older orange haired Inkling says as she talks to her daughter after a game with her college league "it's just a bit of an odd obsession for Inklings" "Well mom, I just find the fact that a species we thought was extinct in our world were still alive in another!" Inker Belle smiles as she drinks some water "what part of that is not fascinating? So many things we thought they did are true! I was so surprised to find out that those pianos things were just for music, I thought they were just for warning people with sounds or something like that" "Yes yes I know Inker, it's still slightly odd. Especially since you rejected the idea of being an historian for playing this human sport know as hockey" "Hey I'm good at it ain't I?" Inker smiles as they walk out of the arena, getting nods and thumbs up for the home team crowd. It was still better than the stares they got when Inklings and Octolings first came into the human world, but Inker's Mom still feels a bit odd with all the attention her and her daughter were getting. "Soo are we going to get some food after this?" Inker asks as they get into their small car. "I can pay for it, I got money" "Yeah that does sound nice Inker. Also I think you should learn to drive yourself if you are going to be a player in the VHL, I cannot just drive you everywhere." "Yeah I'm going to take the test soon, and I told you I hady learners permit and I could drive us right now!" "I'm not trusting you to drive this expensive car that far until you get your driver's license!" Her Mom says as Inker gives her a slightly annoyed look "besides, you got your own car to drive. I'm mostly just saying that it is time for you to be truly independent soon, and you proved to me that you can live somewhere without me with your dorm. So once you enter the VHLM, I will not be living with you anymore, you'll be on your own" "Yeah I know mom" Inker smiles a bit "don't worry, I will be fine! The teams say they will provide a condo for me, and I will have humans in the apartment to talk to!" "Just don't be overbearing Inker" Her mom sighs "also have you heard from any teams yet?" "Umm no" Inker admits "but I did join the draft rather late, so I understand. By the way, are you in the mood for seafood? Like I said, I will buy" "That does sound nice" as they eat at a local seafood restaurant, Inker keeps waving excitedly at some of the VHL press people who had decided to eat at the same place in order to scout out a different person "that's what I'm talking about Inker, you can't force fame" "Would be nice if the noticed me" Inker pouts "but I guess the best thing to do is to be the best I can be, then they will notice me!" "That's the spirit dear" her mom smiles before she munches on a shrimp.

(idk what else to title this) Disclaimer: This story takes place after Loona was drafted but before the season starts "Another shot of tequila, señora?" The bartender asks as he prepares to pour Millie another shot "or so you think you have had enough?" "Ugh I think I am good" Millie said as she got up from the barstool. To celebrate her friend Loona being drafted to the Mexico City Kings, her and her husband Moxxie along with Loona decided to visit a local bar in Mexico City to enjoy some food and drinks. "Y'all certainly make some good tequila" "Thanks señora" the bartender smiles before Moxxie drags Millie away from the bar back to their table, where Loona is texting on her phone "Man these next few days are just going to be full of interviews" Loona sighs as she takes a bite out of her quesadilla "that one guy who interviewed me on that radio station talked so fast I could barely keep up with him" "Well good thing you could or that would have been difficult" Moxxie says as he sits Millie down "anyways you said that the arena was pretty nice right?" "Yeah the arena is pretty big for a VHLM team, but it is the only team they have" Loona smiles "The GM and coach both spoke perfect English, and they gave me a personal tour along with showing me the team wing of honor." "Have you heard from Blitzo lately?" Millie asks as she eats some tortilla chips. "Yeah, he did mention that he will try to visit me soon" Loona then noticed the dance floor beginning to fill up, and started to get up to join them "don't worry I'll be back" she says as she goes to dance. "So do you ever worry about her?" Millie asks Moxxie "I mean yeah I do sometimes but not anymore then I would think is normal" Moxxie shurgs "why do you ask honey?" "Well I know I might have had one too many, but she has visited so many different countries and sometimes I worry that she might be doing too much" "Well she is just doing what every player from this league has to do" Moxxie shurgs "so honestly I don't see what there is to really worry about." "I just worry that one day she might not need us anymore..." "Oh don't worry about that honey I think we'll always have a place with her" Moxxie smiles "and if nothing else, Blitzo will always have stuff for us to do" Loona then returned to the table after dancing with a few churros for them. "Hey you two, I brought dessert" Loona smiles as she takes a bite out of hers "what were you both talking about?" "Ehh it's nothing that important" Moxxie says as he grabs his churro "just talking about the future" "Yeah the future can be scary" Loona shrugs "but hopefully we'll still have each other I guess" "Yeah I sure hope so" Moxxie mumbles "Anyways I got challenged to a game of dice and cards apparently called Medic Stud or something like that, and I'm wondering if any of you want to play" "I'll just watch, I'm starting to feel like I'll black out" Millie says tiredly "Well I guess it's just you and me Moxxie" Loona says as they walks towards the card table.

I completely agree, trying to hard to be a big earner kept burning me out, so now I'm earning on my own pace

"And with the 19th pick in the VHLM draft" the VHLM commissioner begins to announce "the Mexico City Kings select Loona Buckzo from the United Kingdom" Loona's eyebrows rasie a bit as the drafts pick is announced, and soon sighs and grabs $20 to give to her friend Moxxie. "Yeah I know, here you go" Loona says as she hands the money to him "can't believe I lost that bet" "Honestly I didn't really know if you were gonna be drafted to a team outside the US, I just guessed" Moxxie says as he puts the money in his pocket. The two of them had made a bet on whether or not Loona would be drafted to the US, and Moxxie took the win. "Anyways, The Kings seem like a good team, so this should be fun" "There is just one problem though" Loona says a bit nervously "I speak absolutely zero Spanish" "Hmm I think I might know someone who could act as our translator" her other friend and Moxxie's wife Millie says after taking a bite of pizza "if nothing else, think about all the tequila we can drink there!" "I don't drink much, but I hope you have fun with it" Loona smiles a bit "still if you can get a translator that would be helpful, otherwise this might be tricky for us"

Let's do this thing

Loona inwardly sighs a bit as she heads to her old apartment in London England. She had been told by San Diego Marlins management that unfortunately they will not be able to house her in the apartment anymore due to some league rule preventing it during the last week before the draft, and she and her friends Moxxie and Millie had to head back to their old place in London. Still for her, it was much better than the alternative, and as she unlocked the door, she saw her adopted father in Blitzo waiting for her with some fish and chips. "Hey there Loonie!' he waves at her between bites of fish "this dish is actually pretty good, got it from a pub not too far from here" "Sounds good Blitzo, did you leave some for us?" Loona asks as she puts her luggage down on the couch. "Of course, yours is in the fridge" he says before they grab the food from the fridge and start to eat as they watch TV "so they had to kick you out of the apartment huh?" "It's not that big of a thing" Loona says after finishing off a piece of fish "they just said that they could not house me after releasing me from my waiver contract, and I didn't have enough cash to pay for the apartment rent" "Loona this is why I said to save as much as you could" Blitzo lectures her "just in case something like this happens" "Hey I did try to save, but you try saving money when so many shops are full of stuff to buy in San Diego it's hard to save as much as I can." Loona pouts a bit before sighing "besides, it's not like I'm broke. I still have some cash left over from the waiver contract, but an apartment in San Diego is not cheap and I did not want to break the bank for it" "I guess that is fair" Blitzo shrugs "anyways, what are your plans now that you are in London?" "Doing a lot of interviews and stuff like that. I know quite a few hockey magazines that would kill to do an interview with an up and coming star, so I am spoiled for choice" Loona grabs a can of Fanta Orange and took a drink of it before continuing "I think I already got a few set up for tomorrow, so that should be fun" "Loona don't overextend yourself" Moxxie warned "it is a very good way to burn yourself out" "I know don't worry, I'm only gonna do two or three interviews" Loona smiles a bit "I do appreciate you worrying about me though" "You're welcome" Moxxie said before yawning "jet lag is a pain..." "Yeah I am pretty tired as well" Loona yawns before getting up and heading to one of the bedrooms "looks like you kept the room clean for me Blitzo" "Of course Loonie!" Blitzo grins "I kind of had a feeling you would be visiting here at some point before the draft" "I see" Loona yawns again before going to shut her door "anyways, goodnight!" She says as she waves to them before going to take a nap.
