"Yeah, but Dad said not to mention it as she apparently has a bit of a sore spot for it for whatever reason." Logan says as he munches on popcorn. Both of them were watching a Friday the 13th movie because Izumi won the right to choose the movie in a football game bet. "Anyways, how is our bun in the oven? It seems that they like cheese." "Yeah I am craving cheese for like every meal along with vanilla pudding right now" Izumi laughs a bit "they are fine, I felt them kick close to you a few times but forgot to say anything because you were busy with some other stuff" "Wow really?" Logan says as he puts his hand on Izumi's belly. Before Izumi could get on him for getting butter from his hands onto her nice shirt, the baby kicked right were his hand was "oh my god! She kicked!" "That's amazing Logan, they must really be excited to meet their new dad!" Izumi giggles as she gently puts his hand on her belly again "I really hope that we will be good parents for them" "I know we will honey. I just really hope that they will like VHL hockey too!" They both laugh and share a kiss.

Logan Foley has just gotten done moving a bunch of kitchen utensils into the cabinet in his new house when his cellphone rang "hey dad, what's up?" "So you were traded all the way to Seattle?" His dad Jack Foley answers "you really are getting us big frequent flyer miles from us having to go to a few of your games, but at least now you're slightly closer in the USA now" "Yeah, and so far I really love the coffee and the various technology I have seen around the city." "Have you been inside the space needle yet?" "No we haven't, but we've been planning on it when we get an opportunity." Logan says while pouring himself a glass of water "For whatever reason though, I have vague memories of it just pop up when I saw it again during the drive to my new house" "Well, I guess I forgot to tell you this story" Jack began to explain "when you were... Well, I want to say 2 and a half, we all took a trip to Seattle and we took you up into the space needle. You were absolutely terrified because I made the mistake of accidentally letting you look down out of the window" "Yeah I do remember crying a lot." Logan says sheepishly "but how did you and mom call me down?" "Well this is the interesting part: a Seattle Bears player was there doing a media conference when everyone there heard you cry. He was a really nice guy and gave you a hockey puck to hold. You must have thought it was cool, because you stopped crying when you held it. Never caught his name somehow, wasn't big into VHL hockey outside of local teams" "Hmm that is cool. So maybe I am more connected to the city of Seattle then I thought. Anyways are you still planning to visit us at our new place? And how is mom taking us moving here?" Logan asks as he drank the water. "Yeah we are planning on it eventually, but we gotta really plan on it. We are both close to retirement though, so we will soon have all kinds of free time on our hands." Jack said as he drank some coffee "and your mother was a bit relieved that you aren't in a foreign country, though I think she did like Sweden, just didn't like traveling outside of the US in general" "Yeah I get it, it was a bit harrowing living in a different country, but it was easier for me because I lived in Canada before, and I don't even think she has ever lived outside of Long Island." "She was actually born and raised in Kentucky before going to Long Island for a job and meeting big old me, believe it or not." Jack chuckles as he remembers "only reason she did not have any sign of a country accent is that she lived in northern Kentucky I guess. I didn't even know she was from there before we started dating." "Heh, she certainly never mentioned much of it to me" Logan shrugs "Try not to mention it to her, it is a bit of a sore subject to her." Jack warned his son "anyways I'll talk to you later. "Hello everyone in Seattle!" The Seattle Bears GM Bana says as he addresses the crowd that are attending the introduction press conference for the Bears new player Logan Foley "I hope you all are well. We here in Seattle have been hard at work doing trades and free agency, and now we are happy to introduce our newly acquired player from the Malmo Nighthawks, Logan Foley!" Logan comes out and shakes Bana's hand before holding out his new Seattle Bears jersey. It admittedly felt a bit odd holding out a jersey with his name on it that isn't Malmo, but the feeling passed rather quickly as he sat down to talk to the crowd. "Hello everyone, my name is Logan Foley" he says as he talks to the crowd "I am grateful to Bana for making the move from Malmo Sweden here to Seattle Washington as painless as possible. I am here to play my heart out here in Seattle and bring further glory to the Bears. I hope that as you learn more about me, you will learn that I am a hard working and tough as nails player that is ready to do what it takes to succeed. I was actually born in the USA in Long Island New York, so I am happy to be back home on the USA." He smiles at the crowd as everyone took pictures of the conference.

"Umm honey I have some big news for you" Logan Foley nervously says to his wife Izumi. "What is it honey? I just woke up from a nap" his newly pregnant wife answers while she munches on a bag of chips "Well the Malmo Nighthawks GM just called me and we had a pretty big conversation and well...I was just traded to the Seattle Bears." "Wow really?!" Izumi says, surprised "damn, and we just got settled here in Malmo..." "Yeah I know, this will be difficult for both of us. However at the very least your pregnancy isn't too far along so it should not be that difficult right?" "Yeah I guess so" Izumi shrugs "I guess we should prepare to pack in order to head to Seattle, I think I may actually have a friend there we can hang out with" the moving process was luckily not as strenuous or stressful as it could have been, with the Seattle GM helping a lot with making both Logan and Izumi feel comfortable and obtain a nice house in a nice neighborhood in Seattle. Eventually, Logan and Izumi touch down in Seattle with their luggage, where the Seattle GM Bana was waiting. "Hey there Logan, hope the trip wasn't too tiring." Bana says as he greets them both "Well we just both slept through most of it, so it was not that bad. I will admit, it is nice to be back in the good old USA. A part of me misses living in the States." "Yeah I bet. Anyways we will give you the grand tour of the city and the Seattle stadium later, I just think you two should go and get settled in your new home, alright?" Bana said as he led the two of them to a waiting car "we will have the introduction press conference in a few hours, I'll call you about it ok?" "Yeah I will make sure to be right at my phone don't worry" Logan says before he and Izumi were driven to thier new two story home. The house was nice and lovely, and it had a decent backyard and was a few miles away from town. "Huh, not a bad place honestly." "Yeah I can make this work, I've already put in applications to get into some kind of sports reporting here in Seattle." Izumi smiles "admittedly it could use a few more plants around the place to make things feel more alive." "Yeah I'd say that a few more plants would make it really feel like home" Logan says as he lets his dog Shadow out to explore the house. "Looks like Shadow likes it too!" "I just hope that we will still be successful moving forward, and getting used to a city that I have never lived in will take quite a bit of time." "Don't worry honey" Logan says as he hugs Izumi from behind "whatever happens next for us, just take heart in the fact that we will always go through it together. Me, you, Shadow, and our upcoming little one" "Of course honey" Izumi says as she kisses Logan "by the way, I heard that Silicon Valley is in Seattle, so I hope we can look around there" "I'm sure we can honey, I'm sure we can."

"So your father just shipped us this box full of your old stuff?" Izumi asks curiously as her husband Logan Foley looks through the box. Upon hearing that Izumi was pregnant, it helped Logan's father Jack remember that he had a box full of memories that used to belong to Logan in storage. "Yeah he did. Thank God for climate controlled storage, as there is a lot of electronics in here." He pulls out a really old Nintendo Game Boy "like this! I remember Dad had this when he was a kid and held onto it to give to me when i became old enough for it" "That console must have already been ancient by the time you got it when you were a kid, much less now. I would be surprised if it still works to be honest with you honey." Izumi says as she looks over the green Game Boy Color. "Well let's try it out then" Logan smiles as he puts in a Pokemon Gold cartridge and turns it on. The game boy fires up instantly, and they were looking at the start screen "wow it still works! Got my old save file too. I remember Dad had a friend of his mod the console to give it a backlight." "That's lovely Logan." Izumi smiles "once you are able to, the trash needs to be taken out" "Oh that's right, I'll be right there!"

Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here with "Comparing random VHL teams to Pokemon"! In this media, which I honestly don't think I will make a series because I just need it now because I'm currently going through a writers block when it comes to Logan Foley's story, we will look through random VHL team logos and comparing them to various Pokemon. There won't be a rhyme or reason as to why I choose the ones I do beyond for the sake of convenience, and this will not be an extensive look over of each VHL team. Maybe I will turn this into a series if I feel like it, but for now let's begin: Let's begin with my team the Malmo Nighthawks and in terms of hawks we definitely have our pick of the litter. Do you want Talonflame, the flaming bird who is one of the best in Gen 6? Or do you want Hawlucha, the luchador bird? However, in terms of which bird fits the best for this team, the best dark hawk I can think of is Corviknight. This dark black bird is truly a Nighthawk, and no I am not gonna go with a green bird. I mean do you want Xatu? Next up we have the Vancouver Wolves, and honestly there are a lot of wolf and dog pokemon available. I was gonna go with one of the Legendary wolves from Sword or Shield, but I do not think that their color schemes really fit the logo of Vancouver. So getting away from that, I decided that the pokemon to represent this team would be Absol. The dark wolf represents Disaster, which is appropriate giving the fact that this made a disaster of the sim for three straight titles way back when. Plus, it's Mega Evolution has wings! Next up is the Seattle Bears, and it seems that it can be easy to say Ursaring, and they would fit the vibe of the logo perfectly enough. I could also say Urshifu who is a legendary fighting bear Pokemon. Also apparently Snorlax is a bear Pokemon according to Google? I guess that makes sense when you consider how long they sleep. But in the end, Ursaring just fits too well to not choose them. Next up is the Toronto Legion, and while you can say that Lugia might fit them, there is no pokemon that fits this logo better than Articuno, the Legendary ice bird Pokemon from the very first games. The big blue bird has the perfect colors for the team, and Toronto does seem like a place that would be pretty cold, especially in the winter. And finally we have the D.C. Dragons, and hoo boy there are a lot of dragon Pokemon. Surprisingly not a lot of red dragon Pokemon, unless you count Eternatus. However I'm just gonna go with the dragon Pokemon that has the closest shape to the dragon in the logo, and that is the Legendary dragon Rayquaza. Congratulations D.C., you got the Pokemon that caused so many issues in the competitive scene when the Gen 3 remakes came out! I guess you could also say Shiny Gyarados, but I'm not counting shiny forms. Alright that is all the comparisons I want to make as of now. I am sorry if I did not get to your team, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless and I hope to see you all on the ice!

Jack Foley yawns as he goes to answer the ringing house phone in his residence in Long Island New York. If he was a bit more awake, he would have noticed the caller ID and saw that it was his son Logan. "Hello, this is the Foley residence, childhood home of VHL player Logan Foley." "Dad, do you actually answer every number that you do not recognize like that?" Logan asks, slightly embarrassed "Yeah I just like to brag son" Jack admits "now what do you need?" "Well two things, and the first is big news: Izumi is pregnant!" At that, Logan hears his dad drop the phone "umm hello? Dad?" "Oh sorry son that news was just sp unexpected I kind of dropped the phone in shock" Jack says after his picks up the phone "but that is amazing news! I can't wait to see your mother's face when I tell her" "Yeah well that's the second thing: I kind of need Mom's Mac and cheese recipe, because Izumi is craving it tonight real bad" "Of course son I will have her ether tell you that or fax it over right away" "I'd rather her fax it over" "I understand son. Are you hoping for a boy or a girl?" "It does not really matter to me, as I will love them ether way" "That's the spirit son. Anyways, I gotta tell your mother the news, so I'll have her call you ok?" "Ok bye Dad, I love you" "Love you too son"

"Well that ending was slightly disappointing" Logan Foley says as he sits with his wife, Izumi. "I really thought we could make it into the playoffs." "Well you guys played hard, and honestly you did not do too bad for your first season in the VHL." Izumi smiles as she kisses her husband on the cheek "just remember, it is your first steps into the VHL so next season should be even better for all of you overall I believe." "I know Izumi. However, I still wish we could have gotten a chance to do something in the playoffs." Logan sighed a bit before recovering and getting up to make some food "so what are you in the mood for?" "Weirdly, I have been in the mood for some Mac and cheese and I really don't know exactly why" Izumi shrugs "Hmm you don't huh?" Logan says, suspicious "Honestly I do not, and I have been having weird morning sickness..." Izumi starts to say before sighing and deciding to just spoil the surprise "screw it, I was hoping to tell you this later but might as well get it out now: Logan Foley, I'm pregnant." "You are?!" Logan gasps before gently hugging his wife "that's great! Were you planning on telling in a big surprise way or something like that?" "Yep! I was hoping to slightly hint at that, but honestly I just figured that you were gonna be too observant." "Well that hints you threw out were a bit too obvious. I mean morning sickness? I was wondering if you didn't know you were pregnant or something like that" "Ok so I'm not that good with hints" Izumi laughs "so the next generation of Foley VHL stars will be born soon I guess" "Or firefighter, or doctor, or lawyer, or whatever they want to be in the end." Logan smiles "my dad was not the kind to force anyone into any kind of job or pursuit, I just love hockey so much that I have stuck with it" Logan smiles "if my son or daughter wants to be a hockey star then I'll be happy to help them, but I would also be happy to help them with anything else they would like to do. I have a pretty open mind with something like this." "Well I am happy you do" Izumi smiles back at him "they could also get into journalism like me, but just like you I'll support them on anything they want to do. Well, as long as it is not harmful or illegal or anything like that." "Of course, that is a given" Logan nodded before heading to the kitchen "now do you really crave Mac and cheese or was that just a hint? Because my mom knows a killer recipe for it" "Logan I really am craving it" Izumi admits "I haven't had it in over 4 years, yet I am craving it now. It's gonna be an interesting few months, huh?" "Indeed it will be. I'm gonna call my mom to give her the news and ask for the recipe, so just sit tight alright?" Izumi nods to Logan as he says this and goes to call his parents.

"Dear Logan, Your mother and I are so happy to hear that you are doing ok! We have been keeping up with your exploits in the VHL with the Nighthawks, and we are both very proud of you. I am happy to see that you are improving in every aspect of your game, though I understand that the level of competition from the VHLE to the VHL is a very difficult jump to make. Just please don't ever forget to brush up on the fundamentals every now and agaib, they are extremely important if you want to become the best player that I know you can be. As for visiting you and Izumi up in Malmo, me and your mother would be very happy to once the off-season starts for you. We do not want to be a distraction or anything like that during the season, so we will just be patient for now. Once we do visit, you have to treat us to some of those Swedish meatballs we have heard so much about. Your mother especially is wondering about a potential recipe, so show her that if you have one. "99 reps... 100 reps!" Logan says as he works on his arms in the team gym with the bicep curls With the Malmo Nighthawks getting on a bit of a hot streak, Logan has felt more motivated to work out. Not that he has not felt motivated to improve, the hot streak just gave him a bit more fuel to this motivation. He was just about to go to the treadmill when he gets a call from his wife Izumi "hey honey! Are you home from the meeting?" "Unfortunately no, it got delayed because our boss hit a traffic jam" Izumi sighs "he should have gotten here early if he is our boss I know, but he said that he overslept so I guess I can understand that" "Oh. Well I can go ahead and buy some gas to get started on the lawn if you want. I just need to get home from the gym." "Oh, did you break your rep record of 200?" "No unfortunately" Logan shrugs "I doubt I could do that on the bench press unless I really push myself past my limits, and I am scared that I'll hurt myself if I do that" "Yeah I understand, we need to keep you healthy so you can get making money and keep getting better at the game" Izumi smiles "Heh, funny that you said 'makimg money's first" Logan smirks "Don't you start with me. You and I know that moving cost us a lot of the money we had, so earning some more should be a big concern" Izumi says as she looks at her watch and taps on her notebook with her pen, her boss still not having arrived at the meeting yet "I am obviously not saying that it is more important then your dreams, I just want us to be able to live comfortably is all" "Yeah I get it honey don't worry" Logan smiles as he gets on the treadmill "so do you want me to go home and start on the lawn or not?" "No please wait for me, there is a very specific way that I want that lawn mowed, and your dad's old mower may not cut it this time" "Yeah I get that" he begins to jog on the treadmill "so how long do you think I can jog this time?" "Probably half an hour" Izumi guessed before her boss finally showed up for the meeting over an hour late "ok gotta go, boss is here. Love you Logan!" "Love you too, Izumi" Logan says as they hang up. As he works out, he sees some of his teammates entering the gym getting ready for thier workouts. "Hey can one of you guys help spot me? I almost bench pressed by myself before I thought better of it" "Oh sure Logan" one of them said before they both went to the bench press area "so how have things gone between you and the new wife?" "Things could not be better on my opinion. She is perfect for me" Logan smiles as he prepares to do a few reps "and no she did not tell me to say that, that is how I really feel" "Well I understand that Logan" the teammate smiled "Now get started, these gains won't get themselves..."

Dear mom and Dad: Hey I know it has been a long time since my last letter, but me and Izumi have been hard at work getting settled in Malmo. I know I am just moving from one place in Sweden to another, but it is still a hassle getting all of our stuff moved. The Nighthawks have not done as well as we would like to haved hoped we would do, but I feel like we are a young team with a lot of potential so I am not sweating it. It is still very surreal that I am now in the VHL and am living out my childhood dream! I know that you two are very proud of me, and me and Izumi do hope that you two can eventually visit us both in Malmo. I'll pay for your tickets if I have too! Anyways, Izumi's promotion at work has left her almost as busy as I am, so unfortunately we have not had as much time to ourselves as we want. I know that you had a feeling that this would happen, but we are still very happy with each other. I know you mentioned something about wanting grandchildren, but that is a long time away in my opinion as I don't think I'm ready. "Welcome home honey" Logan Foley's wife Izumi says, hugging her husband. "Look like you got a bruise on your cheek though..." "Yeah I took a rough cross check along the wall, but luckily all I ended up getting was that bruise. Anyways, I'm gonna look through some old photos of mine, Dad asked if I had any pictures of me as a kid playing hockey" "Oh let me see, I haven't seen many pictures of you as a kid" Izumi laughs a bit to herself as they go to the basement Logan is using as a big man cabe and pull out a box of old photos. "Hmm this one looks rather familiar for some reason..." She says as she pulls out one showing a young Logan wearing a Team USA style jersey. "But I am honestly not sure why" "Oh that one is from my World Peewee Hockey championship trip. Our team had managed to reach the semi-finals before we got eliminated by Japan" "Oh my gosh, that's why I remember this! I was there!" Izumi gasps "I remembered this excat tournament, I was so sad when Japan was beat by Canada in the finals." "Wait you were?" Logan starts laughing out of disbelief "wow, biggest thing I remember from that tournament was some Japanese fan yelling at me in Japanese and I couldn't understand a word of what she said. I do remember her wearing a dragon hair clip, and she was around my age..." Logan notices that Izumi had started laughing again while covering her face "wait that was you?!" "I remember this exactly! Yes it was me! I was cussing you out in Japanese because I thought that you injured our star player!" Izumi can't stop laughing in sheer disbelief as Logan puts an arm around her "If it helps, I felt pretty bad about that hit as well" Logan smiles as he pats Izumi's back "but it is crazy, the first time I met you was you cussing me out in Japanese, and nether of us knew each other. Now you are married to a new VHL player and I am married to a wonderful sports reporter" "You dork" Izumi kisses his cheek as she finally calms down "anyways, you should probably get this picture to your dad...and maybe also prepare to go to that Nighthawks team meeting you said you had to go to" "Oh my god I completely forgot about that meeting!" Logan laughs a bit "thanks for reminding me honey, yeah I should definitely prepare to head out. I love you honey, even if you did have quite a potty mouth as a kid" "Heh you should have heard my mother, she was saying worse things then I was" Izumi gets up and heads upstairs with Logan "speaking of, my parents are visiting next week, just so you are aware" "Oh that is nice, don't worry we will be prepared. I'll clean up while you are working the day before, I'll have an off day." "Well that works!" Izumi smiles "now go get to that meeting, and tell the GM I said hi" "Will do!" Logan said as he headed out to his car.

"Cannot wait to finally see me on Malmo in the VHL video game" Logan says as he plays the game on his Xbox "I am surprised that they haven't updated this game with you on Malmo" Izumi notes as she pours herself and Logan some coffee before heading over to him "weren't you called up this season? You think they would have put you in it already" "Ehh they are putting me in Malmo in the next edition of the game" Logan shrugs "they have yearly releases, as annoying as that can be too me. I still don't have that one VHL game from 13 years ago or so, but that one was one of my favorite games I swear" "So you think that the game series has been on a decline?" Izumi asks curiously "Nah, it was just the one that I had the most memories with because it was the one where me and my old man did a dynasty mode with a custom Long Island team we created. I forgot the exact name of the team we had though." "Oh I see. Wait, you can make custom team?! Let me have a turn, I want to make a Tokyo team." "I will, just let me finish this one game and I will give it to you" Logan smiles "I am already in the 2nd period and I am up 2 goals, I am not quitting this game early"

"If nothing else, at least I got a goal so far" Logan Foley shrugs as he talks to his newlywed wife Izumi "but yeah it's been a bit of rough going so far for the Malmo Nighthawks, but I am determined to keep going like I always have" "Well I am determined to keep decorating this house Logan" Izumi replies. She and Logan have been working hard to make their new house in Malmo Sweden truly feel like a home. They already had a dog and tons of furniture, but still needed some details to truly make it feel like home "now can you hand me that framed newspaper?" "Sure enough honey" Logan smiles as he hands her the newspaper "is this your first ever cover story?" "Yep! I'm not expecting a Pulitzer Prize for this or anything like that- dear Lord if I won a prize like that I'd probably faint during the presentation- but I am extremely proud of this and it represents how hard I have been working on these stories." "Well you do have a bit of insider knowledge on everything involving the Nighthawks" Logan says as he walks up to her "Heh you dork" Izumi smiles "anyways, I took Shadow out earlier so I do not think that I have much to do right now" "Well we better go grocery shopping at least, we are running out of coffee and you know how grumpy I can be without my morning coffee" "Oh gosh do I do" Izumi sighs "I can get pretty grumpy without it as well. Yeah we can go grab some stuff, and maybe grab some food for dinner because I don't think ether of us feel like cooking" "You are right, I do not feel like doing that" Logan chuckles as they leave thier cottage like house and head to a small local grocery store. As they walk around the store and pick up food and other stuff, Logan keeps getting noticed and let's himself take photos with some fans. Izumi watches as he does that but is interrupted by a young woman getting her attention. "Umm hello my name is Ebba" the woman nervously says "I read some of your articles on the Nighthawks and the one article on bear hibernation" "Oh wow I did not actually think I had fans" Izumi giggles a bit nervously before collecting myself "usually it's my husband that gets all the attention" "Well I am trying to become a reporter too, so I am wondering how you got your job?" Ebba asks "Well I got noticed first in Japan for various articles on baseball, but moved here to cover hockey and fell in love with all the people and the area itself. You just gotta keep trying your best to get good stories" Izumi explains "I want to say her first big story was on me in Stockholm, but that would be a lie" Logan chuckles "I see! Thank you for your time Izumi" Ebba says as she waves goodbye to them both "Hey now you know that you have at least one fan" Logan smiles "Yeah that does make me feel good" Izumi smiles "anyways, where are these meatballs..."

"So why would you not want to go to Hawaii?" Izumi asks her newlywed husband Logan Foley, who has just come home from his tour of his VHL team the Malmo Nighthawks arena. "I like beaches, but I would understand if you think that it would be too crowded for your liking." "Yeah I would just want to be somewhere we would not have to deal with a crap ton of other tourists." Logan shrugs "besides, part of me feels like it can be a bit cliche to go there for a honeymoon" "Since when did you care about cliches?" Izumi laughs a bit "you're the one who insisted on the slightly cliche wedding vows" "I'm better at hockey then I am at writing honey" Logan chuckles a bit "but when I was a kid playing hockey, our team once got a school trip to Colorado, and I loved hiking the mountains there, so what do you think about going there?" "Well, I've always wanted to go snowboarding or skiing, so yeah that sounds fun! Just make sure that we get a cabin all to ourselves" "Don't worry honey I will" Logan smiles as he goes to get his cell phone "do you want to book the trip or should I?" "You can go ahead, I need a nap. It's been a long day for me" Izumi gets up to go to her bed as she says that "Alright honey I will" Logan smiles

"Gotta admit, this is a bigger arena then the one I played in with Stockholm" Logan Foley says as he is given a tour of the Malmo Nighthawks arena by their GM "not that the Stockholm arena was small or anything like that, but still" "Yes I would imagine" the GM smiled "a VHL Arena would probably be bigger then a Euro league arena. I hope that it is clean enough for you, we just got done cleaning it up today for the upcoming season, but it is not completely clean in some areas" "Don't worry about it, I don't mind a bit of dirt" Logan smiles as they walk towards the locker room "by the way, when will I get my jersey?" "We are still working on your jersey and other parts of the uniform, they have yet to come back from the seamstress." The GM explains "however we do have your locker ready so let's see where you will be" he shows Logan his empty locker with his last name and first initial on a plaque above it. "Before you ask, we got your jersey and show size from the people in Stockholm" "That is nice to know, wouldn't want to have to get measured again" Logan smiles "how is your relationship with the people in Stockholm by the way?" "Well it is rather close as you might imagine" The GM chuckles "it is very nice to have a Euro league team so close to us, makes a few things easier" "I can imagine it would" Logan nods "Also, may I ask how you are finding the country of Sweden?" The GM asks curiously "the adjustment must have been difficult considering that you had lived almost your entire life in America" "Well I also spent a season of hockey in Canada which did help me get ready to get used to a different country with different customs, but I guess that is still technically North America" Logan shrugs "however, it was quite a bit adjustment considering that at the time I really only spoke English. I've taken quite a few lessons on speaking Swedish, but I am far from an expert unfortunately. Thankfully I met my newlywed wife in Stockholm, and me and her worked on getting used to this country together as a couple" "Well I'd imagine the fact that many Swedish people speak English helped with you getting used to things here" "Yeah it did. Well I need to head out as I promised Izumi that we would further plan our honeymoon, and I cannot break a promise with her" "I understand Logan do not worry" The GM chuckled "I know all about things like that. Where are you planning on going?" "Well that's the thing, we are not entirely sure as of now" Logan shrugs "that is why we are still planning a lot of it. Anyways, I'll see you when the season gets closer to starting!" "I'll absolutely see you then! I'll keep in touch and message you if something happens to turn up" "Good to know! See you then" Logan says as he goes to his car, ready to go home and further plan his honeymoon.

Well, it is the off-season and last season was a bit of a rollercoaster for the Stockholm Vikings. From the highs of the beginning of the season where we looked like world beaters to the collapse of the later season, it seems like we went from one emotion to the next. As for myself, I am getting called up to the Malmo Nighthawks this season, so this will be the last season in Stockholm for Logan Foley, though both teams are in Sweden so he will not be moving very far. I just wanted to say thanks to the Vikings for drafting me and letting me play there for two good seasons, with Logan getting a lot of stats last season despite the disappointing ending. Doomsday and Twists, thanks for GMing this past season. While my time in Toronto with my previous player Armani Calamari did not end the way I wanted, I am glad that Doomsday did not hold it against me. As for what is next for Logan Foley, well the Malmo Nighthawks will be going into a rebuilding period if I recall correctly so it might take a while until we are truly good. However, it is a wait that I am absolutely ready to go through, and I am very excited for the opportunity to show what Logan Foley can do.

(I wish I could come up with better titles) Logan Foley nervously adjusts his bowtie on his tuxedo. It was finally time for his wedding to his fiance Izumi, and very few in the small community building in Long Island New York were as nervous as him. He and Izumi had agreed to get married once Logan actually got called up to the VHL with the Malmo Nighthawks during the off-season, and once he got the call they immediately started to put thier wedding into action. "Come on now Logan you look fine" his father Jack Foley says as he sees his son pace back and forth "you are more nervous than the time you were in your first playoffs in the VHLM. I remember when you kept calling me to vent your nervousness, thank God I have unlimited long distance calling..." "Dad look, hockey is easy for me." Logan says before his dad started rambling "Well, maybe not easy, but it does seem to come naturally if nothing else. Love however is a completely different beast" "Well do you truly love this girl?" Jack asks "or do you believe that you do?" "Well, yes I do. I do believe that she is the one for me" "Then everything will be completely alright." Jack smiles reassuringly at his son before putting a hand on his shoulder "if not, then it just was not meant to be. By the way, did you manage to get the house in Malmo?" "Yep!" Logan smiles "It's a nice two story house in a suburb pretty close to the Nighthawks arena. It's even got a big basement that I plan to turn into an area for all my hockey history and whatever Izumi would want to also put in there" "I see. Son I am extremely proud of you, I don't know if I have told you that recently. I mean,my son is a hockey player going into the highest level of play in the VHL! I always believed in you, but I will be honest and say that this is still extremely surreal for me." "I know Dad, it's the same way for me" Logan chuckles a bit "You have been keeping in touch with your agent right? I feel like he has to have been hard at work getting you the best contract that he can get" "Well yeah I have been keeping in contact with him, but I feel like taking a team friendly deal will be better for us both" Logan shrugs "I don't need much money, I am a pretty simple guy" "I know you are son" Soon after, Logan goes out to the aisle to await his bride. When he and Izumi eventually say thier vows, Logan had this to say: "My dear Izumi, I promise that I will do my absolute best to be the best husband I can be. I will give you the love you absolutely deserve, and the love that we will have will burn even brighter then the fury that I will display on the ice." Soon after, they were officially declared husband and wife, and Jack had to hold himself back from crying. The married couple would hold a toast to their love, family, and hockey at the reception.

Logan Foley's fiance Izumi just came into the condo that they shared when she sees him looking like he had something very important to tell her. "Ok before you tell me your news, can I tell you mine? And before you ask, no I am not pregnant." "You had me thinking about that for a hot second honey." Logan said, slightly relived "so what is your news?" "I managed to book that wedding hall in Long Island you were talking about!" Izumi smiles "you were right, it is a bit of a pain to get it all set up, but I did it in the end with your mother's help over the phone" "Well that is pretty good news" Logan smiles "so here is mine: I am getting called up to Malmo!" "Oh my gosh really?!" Izumi excitedly exclaims as she and Logan hug "this is amazing news, I am so happy for you!" "Just for me?" Logan chuckles "this means we can finally move into that big house you have been waiting for us to get into" "I know honey, but I am happy for you because it means that you are achieving your dream" Izumi says as she boops Logan's nose "it is very sweet that you thought of me though. Gosh, between the wedding and this, there is so much to do!" "Well as my dad would say, the best way to get things done is to just do them." "Right, let's get started!"

Logan Foley nervously relaxes in his armchair alone in his house while waiting by his phone. He was waiting for a return call from the Malmo Nighthawks as to whether or not he was actually going to be called up this season, and it was taking so long that it was making his stomach twist on anxiety. Finally, while he was watching a documentary on African wildlife, the phone rang and he tried his best to calm his nerves as he answered. "Hello, this is the Logan Foley residence." "Hey Logan!" The voice on the other side of the call answered "This is the GM of the Malmo Nighthawks giving you a call back. How are you feeling today?" "Good, but honestly nervous as all heck" Logan chuckled a bit as he spoke "Well I am here to tell you to rest those nerves, as we have decided that it is time to call you up to Malmo! Get your stuff ready to move out in a couple of weeks, and make sure to say goodbye to all your teammates in Stockholm." "Oh thank you sir!" Logan said, smiling as all of his anxiety from the day vanished instantly "I will not let you down, trust me" "I know you won't, Logan" the GM smiled "I'll keep in touch and keep you updated, so see you then!" "Alright! See you sir" Logan smiles as he ends the call and prepared to head out to the Stockholm Vikings arena offices. He was feeling pretty elated as he drove towards the stadium, with the only thing that he was a bit nervous about being how everyone at Stockholm would react to the news. As he walked in, the GM of Stockholm was waiting for him with a knowing look on his face. "Let me guess: they are calling you up to Malmo right?" The GM says as Logan walks into his office. "Yeah, but how did you guess that?" Logan asks curiously "Logan you are progressing way too well and quickly to be stuck in the Euro league right now" The GM smiles "I am very proud of how much you have achieved so far, and you won't be going to far away from here in order to show your stuff to the big leagues and to an even bigger audience then we here at Stockholm can give you." "Wow thanks sir" Logan smiles "thank you for always believing in me, and I am very happy that I was able to give it my all to you for the two seasons that I was here" the two of them shake hands, and Logan goes to the main ice of the Stockholm Vikings arena in order to take a glance at the Vikings ice for what could be the last time. After staring at it long enough to lock it as a memory, he headed into the Vikings locker room to retrieve his bag. "Hey Logan, they haven't released you, did they?" A janitor asks nervously "Oh no, I'm actually getting a call up" Logan smiles at him "thanks for keeping this place clean by the way, the team really appreciates it" "No problem. Good luck at the next level Logan!"
