  1. Dear Mom and Dad: Hey it's me Logan again! It's been an interesting few days here in Stockholm, but I'm actually enjoying myself here. The country roads are way more relaxing then the craziness of New York traffic, and I just enjoy looking at all the culture that is around me right now. I hope that you all are doing well, and I am really glad Dad's health scare ended up being a false alarm. Still, I would be careful and make sure his is still alright during these next few weeks, as we never know when something like that might flair up again. Maybe limit his caffeine intake so his heart will be ok? I know that's hypocritical coming from a coffee nut like me, but still. Another thing that I want to tell you is that I actually found a nice girl! Yes I know that my last girlfriend did not go so well, but this girl is extremely nice and I think this will go way better then last time. Her name is Izumi Saito, and she is a reporter from Japan who moved here to report on hockey games. I know, she has a perfect profession to complement what I do! Anyways, I hope you too are well and I hope to see you during the off-season. Your son, Logan.
  2. Another hockey game has ended for the Stockholm Vikings in a 4-2 victory over the Geneva Rush, and it was once again time for the post game media scrum. Logan Foley was one of the first to reach the podium, looking pretty happy after yet another victory for the Vikings. He still wasn't that good with the Swedish language, though he had taken some lessons, so he had a translator with him. Thankfully, most of the reporters do speak some English, so this won't be too hard on him in terms of communication. "Hello there Logan" one of the reporters says to begin the questions "this question is not related to the game so I do apologize, but I am curious about how you are finding it here in Sweden. It must be a big change from a place like New York or even a place like Mississauga in Canada" "Well yeah, going from a crowded place like New York to the wide open spaces of Sweden is quite a bit change I will say." Logan answers "however, I love the feeling of how relaxing the long green grass filled roads can be, and I am a coffee nut so the amount of coffee can be a big plus for me too." "Oh?" The same reporter begins to ask "then what is your favorite kind of coffee or coffee creamer?" "Oh that is easy: I absolutely love sweet cream and vanilla caramel creamer in my coffee, though I will drink it with milk and sugar if I have to." "Hello Logan" another reporter started to ask "I understand that you were being moved up onto the first line, how is that working out for you?" "I'd say that it is working out pretty well" Logan smiles"yeah it is a lot of responsibility, but I feel like I can handle it all. It just shows everyone how much work I have been putting in during the off-season and during the season as well." Logan smiles, and soon he takes his leave once the questions switched over to his teammates. As he walked out, he saw his new girlfriend Izumi Saito waiting by his car with his camera. "Guess I am not done with all the reporting that will be happening today" "Well all I really need is a photo" Izumi smiles "all you need to do is too look like you are doing something else, and my boss will be fine with it" Logan decides to look back at the arena in order to look distracted as Izumi takes the photo "my boss is a bit is a stickler about getting pictures that look spontaneous, so I needed it to just look like a spur of the moment thing." "Does your boss know that we are a thing now?" Logan says, his eyebrow raising. "Well he probably does, it seems like everyone in the office does after Freja found out and told everyone she could" Izumi says, slightly annoyed "however I don't think that really matters in the end. Let them know, I'm just glad we are together" "Me too honey" Logan says as he kisses her cheek, where afterwards they both get into his car to head back home.
  3. 1. Probably, however there is a reason the awards are given at the end of the season and staying focused is the key 2. I hope that Logan will start to heat up soon. 3. I think they can manage a few more wins, but it's the luck of the draw 4. Be better in overtime. 5. Cold drinks unless it's coffee. 6. The Kentucky Wildcats and Cincinnati Bengals
  4. Currently in the VHLE, the Cologne Express lead the league with a record of 29-9-1, with the Oslo Storm being extremely close behind with a record of 28-9-1. The Stockholm Vikings follow in third place with a 23-9-6 record, overtime losses being the thing holding them back. The Vasteras Iron Eagles are in the 4th spot with a 22-14-3 record, however they are trying their best to stay afloat because the Geneva Rush is only game game behind them in the standings. After a Istanbul Red Wolves team that has a record of 20-18-1, you have the bottom dwellers with the Bratislava Watchmen and the Rome Gladiators having 8 and 2 wins respectively. Sebastien dokis of Vasteras leads the league in points with 68, with his teammate Adeline Delle Donne following close behind with 61. Adeline however does lead the league in goals with 31, with Sebastien being 4th on that list with 24. Sebastien is second in the league in assists with 44, only one less then Curtis Crumbof Cologne with 45. Curtis also has the most points anoung defensemen with 54, Reese McFleury and Hunor Solyom both being tied for second in that category with 47. Womp Womp Womp Womp Womp Jr both leads the league in shots blocked with 152 and hits with 249. My player Logan Foley actually is 7th in hits with 95, fitting his wrestling render.
  5. Logan Foley was walking around the streets of Stockholm Sweden, whistling a tune to himself. The Stockholm Vikings were in a good spot as they were in third place in the VHLE standings, however 6 overtime losses have hurt them as they were still behind the Oslo Storm, who only have one overtime loss. So while this was bothering him a bit, he was trying not to let it bother him as he walks down the street. Another thing that has been bothering him is his lack of luck in love, as he had just broken up with his girlfriend. However, what he should have been doing is watching where he was going, as he bumps into a woman in the street and nearly knocks her over. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" Logan says he checks to make a sure she has not fallen over. She is a young Asian woman, looking like she was just taking a vacation here or something like that. "Oh don't worry sir" the woman says as she tries to steady herself before smiling at him "I should have been paying attention too, I was listening to my music a bit too loud." "Oh what were you listening to, if I may ask?" Logan smiles "Metal music. I got into American metal music via a friend of mine, and I became kind of obsessed" she giggles, then takes a good look at him "hey, no offense, but you do not sound like you are from here" "I am not, I moved here from America to play hockey" Logan explains "may I ask where you are from?" "Oh my family moved here from Japan. We all learn English at a young age in my family, so it was pretty easy to communicate." The woman smiles "my name is Izumi Saito, what is yours?" "Logan Foley" Logan smiles "Oh you are the one who is playing for both of the hockey teams in Sweden, right?" "Yep. Well I am actually only playing for the Vikings for now, and I will be playing for the Nighthawks once I get called up." "I see." Izumi smiles "I work as a freelance photographer for various magazines, so I hope you don't mind if I ask for a photo that I can sell" "Absolutely!" He smiles as he poses for a few photographs. "And I hope you don't mind me asking for your number. I'd like to get to know you better if that's ok." "Oh!" Izumi says, surprised "well of course!" She exchanges numbers with him "I am pretty busy over these next few days, however how about we get together on the weekend? Maybe Saturday if you are free?" "I will have to check my schedule, however if I am free I'll call or text you" "I would prefer a text, I'll tell you in the text whether or not it is ok to call me afterwards" Izumi puts her camera back into her bag "thank for the photoshoot too! A lot of sports magazines pay a lot of money for good pictures of up and coming players just hanging out around their cities." "No problem, I will see you this weekend hopefully!" He waves as she walks off, happy to have another chance at companionship.
  6. 1. I am very happy that we seem to be hitting our stride 2. to not get nervous and just try their best to keep calm. Nerves lead to mistakes. 3. I sure hope he can, maybe the TPE growth helped 4. Cologne easily. They are our kryptonite this season. 5. ether Saturday or Monday, and only Monday because that means new tasks to complete. 6. I am not sure, maybe venison?
  7. Hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here to quickly look at notable Stockholm Vikings stats. The Vikings are currently third in the VHLE with a 17-8-5 record, sitting behind the Oslo Storm who are 22-7-1. Currently thier leading scorer is Apex Bridges III, who has 15 goals and 21 assists. My player Logan Foley has 6 goals and 8 assists, and is second on the team in hits with 68. He has also spent 20 minutes in the penalty box, but that makes sense for the player who's render is a professional wrestler in Mick Foley. Jarno Lappi leads the team in in penalty minutes with 46, which is 16 more then the next player in Jacob Stone who has 30. Jarno Lappi is also tied for the most hits with John Poremba Jr, both of them having 77 hits . In terms of goalies, Travis Clark has a 12-5-5 record with a 0.933 save percentage and a 2.14 GAA. He also have 2 shutouts. His backup Jay Saucey has an 8-5-3 record and a 0.938 save percentage and a 2.01 GAA. Right now the Vikings are in a really good spot, but I feel like they would want a better seed then the third seed. The Express will be hard to beat however, and seems to be the Vikings kryptonite as I don't think we have been able to beat them yet. However I do think we can do good stuff in the playoffs, so thank you for reading and I hope to see you all on the ice!
  8. "Hello everyone my name is Logan Foley and welcome to a special long episode of the Logan Blog! It has been a bit since I have done one of these, so I decided to tell you all about an incident that happened when I was moving from New York to Stockholm Sweden. Basically, I was trying to board the plane, but they were making sure my passport was up to date, so I was kind of being held up at the airport which made them realize that I was a hockey player that had played professionally. According to one of them, he once tried to become a professional hockey player, but an injury kept him from achieving his dream. I kind of took his story with a grain of salt, because anybody can say that they could have been a professional athlete, but he seemed pretty serious about it. So finally my passport goes through fine and I get through, taking my place in the plane. I ended up sitting next to a couple of Swedish kids who apparently were with their parents sitting behind me, all of them having taken a vacation to New York. The kids did seem like they have had a bunch of sweets before the trip, and it was tiring the parents out to try to keep them still. I decided that I needed to do something to help them, so I talked to the kids and told them stories about being a professional hockey player. This did work wonders, as they payed attention to my every word until they eventually got tired and started to wind down. The parents were very appreciative, and I just told them that it would inconvenience us all if the kids couldn't sit still, and that my babysitting experience helps with situations like this. I explained that I used to be a babysitter for various kids in the neighborhood when I was a teen, and that had given me tons of skills for when I have to deal with kids. The rest of the plane trip was mostly uneventful and I was asleep for most of it, however I did figure out who on the plane had motion sickness. After I got off and got through customs, I was met at the airport by the Stockholm Vikings staff and got to my apartment and set everything up. The family I met in the airplane completely slipped my mind until a few weeks later after a game at home, I was heading off the ice when I noticed the same family trying to get my attention a few rows above the team entrance. 'you were telling the truth!' one of the kids sas as she stares at me 'my brother said that you might be lying, but I knew you were telling the truth!" I told them to meet me outside of the arena, where I took a pick from the team equipment area and signed it with a white marker. 'just something for you to remember me by' I smile at them 'mayne you remember this moment when you are being big hockey players, huh?' I say to the two kids before I shake the parents hands and leave for my car. Well that is all I have for this blog. I will see you next time, and go Vikings!" (I didn't know what else to title this)
  9. 1. I think Logan is doing well all things considered 2. We could be doing better unfortunately 3. I think they are doing fine, however I don't have much to say on that matter 4. I think they will help us a lot in getting over the hump 5. Maybe Atomic Heart 6. I don't watch much NHL, so I don't have much to say on that matter.
  10. Logan Foley has been chugging along in his first (and probably only if my earning keeps up) season in the VHLE. While the Stockholm Vikings have got out to a bit of a slow start, being 5-6-3, Logan has managed to get himself 2 goals and 4 assists, with one of his goals appearing to be a game winning goal. At least, that's what I think the GW stat means in the portal, feel free to correct me if that is wrong. While Logan has only gotten two of his 43 shots into the goal, he is trying his best and hasn't gotten up to 300 TPE yet. He is now in a bigger pool of competition in terms of TPE, and needs to earn in order to get better. However, give him credit for this: Logan has gotten 28 hits and has been playing aggressively if nothing else. He also has 12 penalty minutes. He has been used as a center due to the team needing a good center, so him playing a position he is not completely familiar with might also explain his slightly slow start. Still, I am proud of what Logan has done early in this VHLE season, and I am excited to see what he can going forward.
  11. "Hey mom and dad, this is Logan. How have you all been? I am pretty damn good,Sweden is a gorgeous country overall, and whenever I get called up I won't have to go very far to get to my VHL team! I am settling into my new place pretty well, and they have set me up with a nice condo that is pretty damn close to the water surrounding the city. However, as you can imagine, it is pretty damn cold here, and I was in for a shock when I first got here and felt the cold. I do not know what I was expecting, I have lived in Canada for a while and I have lived in New York for years, I should be used to the cold. Luckily I was able to catch a taxi and was led to my new apartment pretty quickly. It is actually bigger then the one I had with my VHLM team, which I guess is something I should expect with the step up in competition. Anyways, I'll be sending over some Swedish snacks sometimes soon, so I hole that you will be looking forward to trying those out. I hope that I will be able to see you face to face during the eventual off-season, so see you then! Your son, Logan.
  12. 1. I think Logan will do fine, however I do not really have any specifics on how well he will do. 2. not really, I don't watch much NHL 3. Us, probably 4. I lost in the JST finals in game 7 5. Hot, so I can have a pool 6. How well the Bengals are doing
  13. "Hey everyone, my name is Logan Foley and this is a small blog I wanted to make in light of me getting drafted to both the Stockholm Vikings of the VHLE and the Malmo Nighthawks of the VHL. I just wanted to show my gratitude to both teams for believing in me enough to choose me to help lead your teams to glory. I know that I will most likely only be in the VHLE for just a season before I am called up, however I hope in that one season I can add all of our names to the many great names on the Renaissance Cup. It will be the first time I have lived outside of the North American continent with Stockholm, and it will definitely be a unique experience for me. I just hope that I can get my money exchanged rather quickly! Right now though, I am just getting ready to move and I cannot wait to do my best for Stockholm and then later Malmo. My parents will miss me a lot though, since this will be the furthest I have been away form them both. However, this bird needs to leave the nest and travel to even further lands so look out Stockholm here I come!"
  14. Logan Foley watches some wrestling on TV as his father Jack Foley comes into the living room of thier old family home. Logan had decided to visit his family in the offseason before he had to head out to the VHL Junior Tournament again, and they had all just finished dinner. "So you have to leave next week?" His father asks a bit sadly "Yeah I have to." Logan says "like I said, I'll play where I am drafted to play. However, it is still not as far as when I possibly play for the European league." "Yeah son that is going to be white the culture shock for you, and I half expect you to bring home a girl from there" "Heh maybe" Logan chuckles, then get serious "look I know you and mom miss me a lot when I am gone, but honestly this has been a dream of mine for many years-" "Hey don't justify it to me, you don't have to!" Jack says as he puts a hand on his son's shoulder "nothing makes us happier then seeing just how good you are doing, so go out there and be great for us!" "Thanks dad" Logan says as they share a quick hug "I will make you both proud!"
  15. "Hey son, glad you called me!" Logan Foley's dad Jack says as he picks up the phone "saw you playing last night and saw you got another hat trick! Too bad about the loss though" "Yeah it was a frustrating one but what can you do?" Logan shrugged. He yad just finished today's practice and decided to call his dad when he had the chance "remember the Hounds had zero wins when me and the rest of our draft class came in, so any wins right now are automatically improvements from last season." "Right I understand" Jack says "by the way I saw how long your hair and beard are getting, you thinking about getting them cut?" "I might get a trim once the season ends and I have to look good at the draft show" "Oh yeah I forgot that you have another couple of drafts to get through, where do you think you'll be going?" "No idea, it is not scouting season yet so no one has contacted me about all of that" "I see! When offseason comes, are you gonna come down and visit me and your mother?" "Absolutely! That's is totally the plan. Mississauga is a great place, but it will be nice to be home for a bit at least" "Alright son we will see you then. Love you!" "Love you too dad"
  16. 1. I'm sure we can, but the fact that we did so well after what happened last season is very respectable 2. A season of growth 3. Pretty friendly, but understandably a bit quiet 4. Ether the US or Canadian flag 5. Not too sure, but maybe the ability to not get too nervous in the clutch 6. Ether reading or chemistry
  17. "With the first of the second round picks in the VHLM draft, the Mississauga Hounds select Logan Foley, a Winger from the University of Syracuse!" Logan Foley and his family cheer at the announcement from the TV and Logan went to put on the Hounds hat. While he knew that he was getting some attention from various VHLM teams, he did not know if he would have been picked in the first two rounds because of how late of an addition he was to the draft. While the family was celebrating, he father Jack went to look up how far Mississauga is from thier home in a New York suburb. "Huh I did not know that Mississauga was in Toronto" Jack says as he looks at his phone "that is about a seven hour and a half drive from here!" "Well I doubt that I would driving there dad" Logan shrugs "I am probably gonna take a plane, like we do when we visit uncle Greg in Miami." "Yeah I wonder how Greg is honestly" his mom Millie says "haven't heard from him in quite a while" "Last I heard from him is a week ago" Jack shrugs "he said he would have been here but he just couldn't really get the time to catch a plane" "Well I understand" Logan smiles a little "let's just celebrate what is coming next for us and not worry to much" with nods, they all agreed.
  18. 1. I am very happy to help rebuild the locker room 2. He didn't exist last season. He's doing OK in Juniors tho! 3. To just grow and prepare for the next level 4. I do not know enough about them to answer 5. All of them really 6. Milk is milk as long as it came from a cow
  19. Logan Foley was hanging out with his friend Danny Smith at Logan's house as they play some WWE 2K "So I've been hearing that you've been featured on some magazines" Danny says "that is pretty cool" "It isn't the first time that I have been in magazines" Logan shrugs "remember when ESPN did a small on me and the rest of the team winning regionals?" "Yeah yeah bro, you keep bragging about that" Danny chuckles "you came back from being down 3-0 in the final period to win the regional. You did come close to the State Championship as well" "Not really bragging as I was just pointing it out" Logan says as he takes a drink of Pepsi "just more used to doing interviews, though honestly even I am getting a bit overwhelmed by all of this." "Yeah I bet getting scouted by a major hockey league would be crazy. Meanwhile I will probably be taking over my family's coffee shop" "Come on Danny, we know that Smith Coffee is the best coffee in town" Logan reassures him "and I will be sure to visit whenever I can" "Yeah I know" Danny smiles a bit wistfully "I guess I just want to be able to travel everywhere like you are gonna be able to" "Well Danny I'll try my best to show you around a few places" Logan smiles as he pats his friends shoulder "now come on bro, let's do a ladder match for all the marbles!" "You are on!"
