  1. 1. I think Logan is doing well all things considered 2. We could be doing better unfortunately 3. I think they are doing fine, however I don't have much to say on that matter 4. I think they will help us a lot in getting over the hump 5. Maybe Atomic Heart 6. I don't watch much NHL, so I don't have much to say on that matter.
  2. Logan Foley has been chugging along in his first (and probably only if my earning keeps up) season in the VHLE. While the Stockholm Vikings have got out to a bit of a slow start, being 5-6-3, Logan has managed to get himself 2 goals and 4 assists, with one of his goals appearing to be a game winning goal. At least, that's what I think the GW stat means in the portal, feel free to correct me if that is wrong. While Logan has only gotten two of his 43 shots into the goal, he is trying his best and hasn't gotten up to 300 TPE yet. He is now in a bigger pool of competition in terms of TPE, and needs to earn in order to get better. However, give him credit for this: Logan has gotten 28 hits and has been playing aggressively if nothing else. He also has 12 penalty minutes. He has been used as a center due to the team needing a good center, so him playing a position he is not completely familiar with might also explain his slightly slow start. Still, I am proud of what Logan has done early in this VHLE season, and I am excited to see what he can going forward.
  3. "Hey mom and dad, this is Logan. How have you all been? I am pretty damn good,Sweden is a gorgeous country overall, and whenever I get called up I won't have to go very far to get to my VHL team! I am settling into my new place pretty well, and they have set me up with a nice condo that is pretty damn close to the water surrounding the city. However, as you can imagine, it is pretty damn cold here, and I was in for a shock when I first got here and felt the cold. I do not know what I was expecting, I have lived in Canada for a while and I have lived in New York for years, I should be used to the cold. Luckily I was able to catch a taxi and was led to my new apartment pretty quickly. It is actually bigger then the one I had with my VHLM team, which I guess is something I should expect with the step up in competition. Anyways, I'll be sending over some Swedish snacks sometimes soon, so I hole that you will be looking forward to trying those out. I hope that I will be able to see you face to face during the eventual off-season, so see you then! Your son, Logan.
  4. Proud to be a captain
  5. 1. I think Logan will do fine, however I do not really have any specifics on how well he will do. 2. not really, I don't watch much NHL 3. Us, probably 4. I lost in the JST finals in game 7 5. Hot, so I can have a pool 6. How well the Bengals are doing
  6. "Hey everyone, my name is Logan Foley and this is a small blog I wanted to make in light of me getting drafted to both the Stockholm Vikings of the VHLE and the Malmo Nighthawks of the VHL. I just wanted to show my gratitude to both teams for believing in me enough to choose me to help lead your teams to glory. I know that I will most likely only be in the VHLE for just a season before I am called up, however I hope in that one season I can add all of our names to the many great names on the Renaissance Cup. It will be the first time I have lived outside of the North American continent with Stockholm, and it will definitely be a unique experience for me. I just hope that I can get my money exchanged rather quickly! Right now though, I am just getting ready to move and I cannot wait to do my best for Stockholm and then later Malmo. My parents will miss me a lot though, since this will be the furthest I have been away form them both. However, this bird needs to leave the nest and travel to even further lands so look out Stockholm here I come!"
  7. Logan Foley watches some wrestling on TV as his father Jack Foley comes into the living room of thier old family home. Logan had decided to visit his family in the offseason before he had to head out to the VHL Junior Tournament again, and they had all just finished dinner. "So you have to leave next week?" His father asks a bit sadly "Yeah I have to." Logan says "like I said, I'll play where I am drafted to play. However, it is still not as far as when I possibly play for the European league." "Yeah son that is going to be white the culture shock for you, and I half expect you to bring home a girl from there" "Heh maybe" Logan chuckles, then get serious "look I know you and mom miss me a lot when I am gone, but honestly this has been a dream of mine for many years-" "Hey don't justify it to me, you don't have to!" Jack says as he puts a hand on his son's shoulder "nothing makes us happier then seeing just how good you are doing, so go out there and be great for us!" "Thanks dad" Logan says as they share a quick hug "I will make you both proud!"
  8. Enjoy the holidays!
  9. "Hey son, glad you called me!" Logan Foley's dad Jack says as he picks up the phone "saw you playing last night and saw you got another hat trick! Too bad about the loss though" "Yeah it was a frustrating one but what can you do?" Logan shrugged. He yad just finished today's practice and decided to call his dad when he had the chance "remember the Hounds had zero wins when me and the rest of our draft class came in, so any wins right now are automatically improvements from last season." "Right I understand" Jack says "by the way I saw how long your hair and beard are getting, you thinking about getting them cut?" "I might get a trim once the season ends and I have to look good at the draft show" "Oh yeah I forgot that you have another couple of drafts to get through, where do you think you'll be going?" "No idea, it is not scouting season yet so no one has contacted me about all of that" "I see! When offseason comes, are you gonna come down and visit me and your mother?" "Absolutely! That's is totally the plan. Mississauga is a great place, but it will be nice to be home for a bit at least" "Alright son we will see you then. Love you!" "Love you too dad"
  10. 1. I'm sure we can, but the fact that we did so well after what happened last season is very respectable 2. A season of growth 3. Pretty friendly, but understandably a bit quiet 4. Ether the US or Canadian flag 5. Not too sure, but maybe the ability to not get too nervous in the clutch 6. Ether reading or chemistry
  11. "With the first of the second round picks in the VHLM draft, the Mississauga Hounds select Logan Foley, a Winger from the University of Syracuse!" Logan Foley and his family cheer at the announcement from the TV and Logan went to put on the Hounds hat. While he knew that he was getting some attention from various VHLM teams, he did not know if he would have been picked in the first two rounds because of how late of an addition he was to the draft. While the family was celebrating, he father Jack went to look up how far Mississauga is from thier home in a New York suburb. "Huh I did not know that Mississauga was in Toronto" Jack says as he looks at his phone "that is about a seven hour and a half drive from here!" "Well I doubt that I would driving there dad" Logan shrugs "I am probably gonna take a plane, like we do when we visit uncle Greg in Miami." "Yeah I wonder how Greg is honestly" his mom Millie says "haven't heard from him in quite a while" "Last I heard from him is a week ago" Jack shrugs "he said he would have been here but he just couldn't really get the time to catch a plane" "Well I understand" Logan smiles a little "let's just celebrate what is coming next for us and not worry to much" with nods, they all agreed.
  12. 1. I am very happy to help rebuild the locker room 2. He didn't exist last season. He's doing OK in Juniors tho! 3. To just grow and prepare for the next level 4. I do not know enough about them to answer 5. All of them really 6. Milk is milk as long as it came from a cow
  13. Logan Foley was hanging out with his friend Danny Smith at Logan's house as they play some WWE 2K "So I've been hearing that you've been featured on some magazines" Danny says "that is pretty cool" "It isn't the first time that I have been in magazines" Logan shrugs "remember when ESPN did a small on me and the rest of the team winning regionals?" "Yeah yeah bro, you keep bragging about that" Danny chuckles "you came back from being down 3-0 in the final period to win the regional. You did come close to the State Championship as well" "Not really bragging as I was just pointing it out" Logan says as he takes a drink of Pepsi "just more used to doing interviews, though honestly even I am getting a bit overwhelmed by all of this." "Yeah I bet getting scouted by a major hockey league would be crazy. Meanwhile I will probably be taking over my family's coffee shop" "Come on Danny, we know that Smith Coffee is the best coffee in town" Logan reassures him "and I will be sure to visit whenever I can" "Yeah I know" Danny smiles a bit wistfully "I guess I just want to be able to travel everywhere like you are gonna be able to" "Well Danny I'll try my best to show you around a few places" Logan smiles as he pats his friends shoulder "now come on bro, let's do a ladder match for all the marbles!" "You are on!"
  14. Logan Foley was a bit of an odd kid growing up, as he just seemed to have an insane amount of pain tolerance. While his dad Jack Foley could take a lot of pain, having played offensive line in football in high school along with working as a welder for most of his life, Logan just seemed to one up him at times. One of his most famous incidents when it comes to this was when he was seven years old and was visiting his grandparents in Philadelphia. They had shown him an old motorcycle that his grandfather rode back in his heyday, and did not notice that the Motorcycle was not on stable ground when Jack tried to put him on the seat of the bike. When Logan was put on the bike, it started to tip and Logan's arm got caught in between that and the ground. Thankfully, his arm was nearly sprained rather then a full on fracture. The remarkable thing about it though was that Logan did not even really cry or complain when his parents and grandparents were putting his arm in a splint. He did tell his dad that it did hurt a lot however, and he had to unfortunately miss a trip to the ice cream shop. The good news is that his grandmother stayed behind and made him a delicious homemade pie. The unfortunate thing is that due to his pain tolerance, he started to get a reputation of doing bets for money and attention when he became a teenager. It also made quite a few of his peers believe that he actually enjoyed pain, which was definitely not true. He was eventually able to channel this need for attention into something more productive in hockey when he started to play it in school. One day, Logan was practicing some slapshots on goal whe Jack watched when he ended up slipping and hitting his elbow against the glass around the rink. As his dad and the school doctors look at his elbow, one of the nurses makes this comment: "I swear I have never seen this boy complain about pain" she was saying this while looking at the growing bruise on his arm. "It is almost like he does not even feel it at all" "No ma'am." Logan says as he looks up at that "I can definitely feel it. However, I haven't seen my dad complain about pain so I guess I shouldn't ether" "Oh my God is that why you are so stubborn about this?" Jack says, surprised "look I am not one to complain about little stings from the sparks when I weld, but if I am really hurt you best believe you are gonna hear about it. I was cursing like a sailor when I tore my shoulder when you where 2 years old in a ladder related incident" "I don't remember that." Logan says, surprised "then again, I was 2 years old. Well I guess in the end I can say one thing to you." "And what would that be son?" "I will be more honest about things from now on. Oh, and This hurts like a b word."
  15. Let me tell you something: the Delhi Pickles are the best team name there is. Other teams use name like Woves and Legion, but you? You are brave enough to use the humble pickle as a mascot for the team, and I think that is really awesome. Just think of all the great things that the pickle has done for us in terms of food: 1. Great condiments to use with burgers and chicken sandwiches 2. Great snack to use in general when you are feeling hungry and need to get something to eat very quickly 3. Awesome food to deep fry 4. They can stay preserved for up to two years past thier expiration date if you don't open the jar according to Google And I did not even mention how great of a pun the Delhi Pickles name is. We need more puns in team names. Also Delhi is in India so you can get amazing food in there. My player Logan Foley loves eating pickles, so the team is a great fit for him as well. Yeah this might have been a spur of the moment meme article I thought of when I needed a quick writing idea, but I do hope you enjoyed it for what it is. Also, the irony is that I only like fried pickles.
  16. In a small suburb just outside of New York City, a young man named Logan Foley was born to Jack and Millie Foley. He had a mostly uneventful childhood, with most of the highlights involving lacrosse and hockey. He played lacrosse for his local high school, but did not seriously get into playing hockey outside of neighborhood field hockey until he started playing it in his sophomore year of high school. The teams coach found Logan practicing ice skating on the rink having snuck in there after hours, and encouraged him to try to get into hockey in order to get better at skating. Logan would not have the heart to tell him that the only reason he was practicing was to impress a girl that likes to hang out at a local ice skating rink until years later. To the coaches credit, when Logan did tell him that was the reason he was at the rink, he started laughing his ass off. Jack Foley was proud of his son joining the school hockey team, having played hockey back in his high school and collegiate days. Logan was more immediately honest about the fact that he was trying to impress a girl to his father, who also thought it was pretty funny. He told Logan that he tried to learn roller skating years ago to impress Millie, only to fall in front of her immediately at a school roller skating event. Millie would think that it was adorable though, and thier relationship would start from there. After making the team, Logan would start out on the third and fourth line for the team, and would steadily improve and go up on the line as he went. As for the girl he tried to impress, she would unfortunately reject him for the school star quarterback. This would be a blessing in disguise for him though, as he would meet the love of his life in the daughter of a local businessman. Her name is Violet Hazelwood and she was a very nice black hair girl who was one of Logan's few female friends for quite a while, starting in middle school. They would start dating in thier junior year, with Logan being the one to suggest that they go out for dinner. They have been inseparable as a couple ever since, and the girl who Logan originally tried to impress would break up with the quarterback a few months later. Logan would eventually get good enough at hockey to be put on the first line, and to be noticed by a few college scouts. He would eventually choose the University of Syracuse to continue his hockey career with, and would be a top player for the program for 4 years, though he did try to skip his senior year to go stragglers go the VHL. Jack would prohibit him from doing so however, telling him that he should at the very least finish his senior year and get his engineering degree just in case. He would eventually graduate from Syracuse with that engineering degree, and he and his new wife Violet would prepare to do a lot of moving while they wait and see what teams Logan plays for in the VHL.

  20. Armani Calamari has been working hard for the upcoming season with the Toronto Legion, but the idea of incoming age does scare him a bit as he is coming into his 4th season with the team. He of course has no plans on leaving the Legion of course, but he is working harder in hopes that he can get a cup or two before he is forced to retire. His wife Tiffany has been assuring him that he still has an awful lot to give and not to worry. She and his Joey are the things that also keep him moving and being happy. The new young guns in Toronto are giving him a lot of hope for the future of the Legion. It is odd for him to be considered one of the veterans on the team, but he had taken this in stride and has taken up a leadership and mentorship role for the young players. It would also make him think of what he should do when do when he eventually retires. Maybe he could take up an executive role on the team, or get into coaching through his old schools? Ether way, he has a few seasons of work to do before that.
  21. It's the day before the season and all throughout the league, there are many predictions and hot takes for all to see. The hockey sticks and pads were set up in the locker rooms with care, in hopes that many wins will soon be there. The users were set in thier chairs and thier beds, while visons of the upcoming sim dance through thier heads. Alright hey guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro here and that was a quick parody of the Night before Christmas. But yes, it is the day before the season and there is a lot of excitement in the air in the VHL. The Toronto Legion are hoping to start thos season on the right foot, and so are the Bratislava Watchmen. Armani Calamari will be heading into what I believe is his 4th season with the Toronto Legion, and it is my first season as the Bratislava Watchmen AGM. I am very excited for the opportunity to help guide both teams to glory, and this season should definitely be one to remember. As for Armani's life, it has been getting better. His son Joey is now a healthy toddler boy, and he will soon have another kid as his wife Tiffany is pregnant. He will try his best to not let this completely distract him from playing great hockey, although he does very much hope to be there at the babies birth. He and his wife are hoping for a girl, though ether way they think they will stick with only two kids. With Armani's constant travel during the season only two kids is more convenient for them both. Thier marriage is as healthy as ever, and Tiffany never has to fear for what Armani will do when he is on the road as that man is very loyal. His dad John Calamari has officially retired from his job at the hardware store. With his son getting so much money and his own body breaking down a bit, he felt like this was the right move. In his retirement, he has decided to volunteer at a local animal shelter as a way to keep himself busy. He has been an animal lover his whole life ever since he had a black lab dog during his childhood, and he does everything in his power to take care of them. He does not have enough space to take care of a lot of animals at his house, though he does have a German Shepherd named Sarge and a cat named Bella. Armani's been trying to help his dad at the shelter, but since he now has to go on the road, a few other family members have thankfully volunteered to help. A few new faces are with the Toronto Legion along with a few faces leaving for other teams. Armani's loyalty is as awesome as his dad's barbecue ribs, so he does not plan on leaving if he can help it. He absolutely does not blame the players who have left through trades however as that is just business. This will be an interesting season going forward, and here is hope for the best for both the Legion and the Watchmen.
