1. You would think so. 20 points is a significant lead. 2. I am a Penguins fan with dislike of the Flyers. I don't have a lot of hate for other teams. 3. Chocolate, red velvet, carrot in that order 4. Didn't care for it. 5. Cool but hard to organize. 6. I haven't met a pizza with too much chese on it.

Finnegan Tex Sims Biography Finnegan Tex Sims was born in Boston, Massachusetts on October 17, 2003 as the older twin son of Boston cop Lucas Rolan Simms and Nora Piper Simms. The new family would shortly thereafter relocated to the nearby suburb of Pembroke, where Finnegan and his twin Ferdinand Kay were raised in a loving home. Due to their father often working security at many of sporting events all over the city, the boys got into as many professional games as they possibly wanted, all the Patriots, Red Sox, Celtics, and Bruins games a kid could possibly dream of. The stadiums and arenas of Boston were like a second home to Finnegan and Ferdinand. Not only did the boys get to witness history first hand, they got to meet many of the sports legends that brought these championships home. Their house was filled with autographed memorabilia from Tom Brady, David Ortiz, Kevin Garnett, Zdeno Chara, and so many others. Life was very good at this moment but a great tragedy in the year 2013 would ultimately changed everything for the Simms family. Lucas was working at the the finish line of Boston Marathon as he had done countless times before, but it would be this year where things were far from the usual. Nora would eventually get the call later that night after a day of nervous anticipation. It was Lucas informing his family that he was lucky to be unhurt and he wouldn't coming home until he made sure those responsible for so much pain and suffering could hurt no one else. It would be the call early in the morning after four days of fear where the downward spiral for the family truly began. Lucas was wounded in a shootout in nearby Watertown battling against that dastardly duo who brought terror to Boston. Lucas would eventually physically recover from his wounds but his buddy Dennis wasn't as lucky and would be killed in the struggle for justice. With the death of his work friend and all the terrible things he had witnessed in such a short time, Lucas was so badly mentally scarred that he never recovered from that darkness. He would retire from the police force shortly thereafter, gradually mutate into a raging alcoholic, divorce his wife in 2016 and die in a fiery. car accident in 2020. In spite of the horrible ending, Lucas Rolan Simms was remembered as a good cop who went through a bad time, and was a cherished hero by his many friends all throughout Boston. Even as their family life fell to pieces around them, Finnegan and Ferdinand found safety and family in sports. They both became multi-sports athletes, playing football, baseball and hockey together all across the eastern United States for most of their teenage years. Fern would quit hockey shortly after triggering a fight in the hand shake lines with a goalie from Michigan in junior hockey. Both of the Simms twins chose to stay close to home and attend Boston College together. While Ferdinand began to change his focus on playing golf and an engineering degree, Finn would focus on a degree with a psychology major and criminal justice minor. Until the coach of the hockey team offer Finnegan a goalie tryout. The coach was an old friend of Lucas and he wanted to give a fallen hero's son a deserved chance. Finnegan would impress and surpass all expectations in the the tryout drills and would earn his place as starting netminder for the Eagles. It would be his time in the NCAA where Finnegan's old, slumbering dream of playing sports professionally started becoming a reality . While his career stats consisting of a .910 save percentage and a record of 69-40-10 might not scream "best of the best" but it was in tournament play where he became a nearly unbeatable legend. Finnegan has three tournament finals appearances with two championships in his sophomore and senior seasons. As for his individual achievements, Finnegan has won the Tim Taylor Award for his amazing freshman year and the Mike Richter Award his senior after years of being a runner up while being first runner-up for the Hobey Baker award that same season. After graduating with high honors and given the choice about where to continue his path to the VHL, Finnegan chose to head way down south to join the Miami Muraders of the VHLM to futher develop his goal tender skills on a championship contender. Ferdinand is also moving down to Florida with his brother to pursue a path professional hockey the PGA Tour while mommy Nora is also moving in to keep an eye on her boys and maybe find a new husband. No matter what happens, Finnegan Tex Sims will not have a boring time in the VHLM.

I will throw in some things. 1. Complete control over my next player. (pending my approval) Who they are, how they play and even how they became a VHL athlete. Everything is yours. 2. A personal interview with myself for a first year VHLM player to be turned into a VSN article for both of us. Article to be written by early January when I will have my new tablet.

Well, it was bound to happen eventually. After years of service, the old tablet I ran many sim leagues and other things on has died on me. Lots of things were lost. I am able to talk to you now because my sister gave me her old tablet, which was the same model as my own, as a temporary replacement to hold me over for Christmas and a likely new tablet. (Thank you, Katie.) There are significant changes in store for how I operate in sim leagues and in here. As of right now, this is my only sim league until further notice. Also I will not be downloading Discord on this tablet. I plan on reactivating my Discord account after I receive my new tablet but not before. Until further notice the only way to contact me will be the forms. Because of this change I will be stepping back from my responsibility as a VSN Scout temporary. I am determined to finish my current player's final season but the start of my next player might have to wait until I receive a new tablet. I hope to be back up to regular play by next year, but we will see what happens. I wish you all a good day.

The reason behind the point task is that they are supposed to be fun. Be they podcasts, pictures or poignant words, you are supposed to enjoy the creativity process. AI is a shortcut that skips over the best part; connecting the dots to create something amazing. Ideas that come from AI can be excellent starting point but the pieces must be put together by you.

I will go for it. Apply for both.

GG Toronto. You made it a series. But I am so happy right now

1. Everything. This team has been effective since day 1. Offensive is solid with our defense and net mindering being amazing. 2. Absolutely. We came out of the gate swinging and we haven't looked back since. 3. Not sure. But I would go withe Red Panda. 4. We have to shut down their great offense. To force their D and G to step up. 5. I loved the VHLE. I never failed to fine a good story in that league. As sad as I am about this, I was no surprise that this happened. Hopefully the expansion of the VHLM will help me feel better. 6. Maybe. Football has my attention right now but it might slip into my feed.

I would be down for a AGM positions with either either team.

Foward Vikings! Vallahalla Awaits.

Necessary and expected but still sad.

Graphic by @ace_five_ I know it has been some time since I have written a long article. Life has been chaotic this summer and I have been dealing with things internally and externally. I have missed the ability to relax and just let the words flow. After seeing the theme for the week, I knew I would have to write something. As a VSN Scout, it is my job to write about upcoming players in this league. A job I do enjoy a lot. So what better way to return than to shine a spotlight on the best 5 rookie VHLM players going into the S96 Draft. It is time to go over my early picks for the best S96 draft prospects. Goalie: Draw Mac @okochastar In a draft class filled with quality net minders, the best prospect to start in the current season has been Draw Mac. The thirty five year old Canadian has proven himself to be a top tier goaltender after being drafted eleventh overall by the Miami Marauders. Winning exactly half of all games started is impressive enough but with a 0.912 save percentage and a 2.23 goals against average has put Mac among the league's elite in the VHLM. On a good day, even the hottest fire struggles to pierce through the Mac Hull. His name should be among the first ones called on draft day. Defender #1: Narnia Shaw @Dabnad Moving up to the blue line, we see the son of a VHL legend rising to make his father and his nation proud. The son of Dabnad Shaw, Narnia Shaw is a product of the recent ice hockey boom in India. It wasn't nepotism that got Narnia drafted ninth overall by Saskatoon. In short, he is the best offensive D-man in the VHLM. His impressive forty-five assists in forty-four games is crazy for a player in his first season. Clearly this kid has mastered the art of the pass, meaning any VHL GM looking for more offensive output from the blue line should not pass on this top prospect. Defender #2: Shot Blocker @McGriddy10 Skating beside Naria is a newer and very different player but one still making a impact regardless. The six foot four inch Canadian missed the draft and has played in only twenty two games this season for the Marlins. For a player starting to settle in, Blocker has earned a respectable fourteen points, seventy-one hits and twenty-eight of his namesake stat. Blocker is developing into a classic defensive defender with big hits, penalty minutes, and many blocked shots. With a solid start and plenty of time to grow, it would not surprise me to see Shot Blocker shoot up the draft boards by draft day. Left Wing: Kirill Tyutyayev @ColeMrtz Moving up to the wings, we have an unexpected and underrated player taking the left side. Kirill will not be mistaken for a top prospect in S96 draft class. That is evidenced by his twenty-eighth overall selection in the VHLM draft by the Aces. But do not be so quick to write off the eighteen-year-old Russian. Surprisingly, Tyutyayev is at a point per game pace: forty-four points in forty-four games played. That is impressive for someone who, on paper, is half as good as many of the top players. In a draft class where left wingers are a scarce resource, the underrated Tyutyayev could possibly break into the first round. Right Wing: Wefernardo Mackingikus @vincentlg2007 Sliding across the ice to the right, we have a prospect who is as good as his name is unpronounceable. Mack, as I will refer to him, is a seventeen year old hailing from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines who was selected nineteenth overall by the Mississauga Hounds. He has since has produced 1.25 points per game or fifty five points in forty four games and is one of the best at winning games with five game winners under his belt. Mack is developing into a fine point producing forward and should be one of the first ten names called on his upcoming draft day. Center: Joel Jakobs @Plate I end these player profiles in center ice with another underrated rookie. Joel would skip the VHLM draft and would shortly thereafter join the Philadelphia Reapers off waivers from the DEL. He has produced fifty seven points and eighty nine hits with two games winning, three power play, and even a shorthanded goal. Clearly his time commercial fishing in San Diego didn't slow him down a bit. Given his two-way style of play and with plenty of room to grow, any team in the late first or early second would love to draft the twenty six year old. And those are my early selections for the VHLM S95 rookie team as well as a S96 VHL draft preview. S96 is already stacked with high end talent that should make many a happy GM come draft day. I hope nothing for the best for these prospects because life is precious and short. It can be unfairly and unexpectedly ripped away by another person's sheer stupidity. Value every moment you have because you never know what moment will be your last. Stay safe my friends. JOHNNY HOCKEY FOREVER! Editor's Note from Pifferfish: I'm from the same county as the Gaudreau's and this tragedy has hit me particularly hard. I didn't know them personally so I'm unsure why I'm so shook by this news. I just wanted to use this space to say I appreciate you all and I appreciate Grover and Ace for using this platform to shout-out and honor two great players, but more importantly great people, taken from us too soon. Even in the small ways they could. Somebody cherishes each of you as much as their families do and let's use this as a time to show love and care for each member of the VHL. Thank you for reading.

Last season was like a dream. My team made the playoffs for the first time in a long while, then we went on a deep playoff run. Except it ended like a nightmare. Faling short in Game 7 of the Conference Final always hurts. Add in the fact that the team we lost to won the Cup and the hurtful questions begin. The type of questions that can drive a player mad. I, Shubham Anand and the rest of my Riga Regin teammates have been answered our questions by playing like mad. We are the best team in the VHL with myself and Lucy Leitner being the best foward duo in the league. We have no plans of stopping until the moment our mission, A Cup for Riga, is complete. All others should do themselves a favor and stay out of our way.
-
1. We have earned it. We have great player in a great system playing to their potential. 2. After seeing a team we also beat hoist the Cup, we are coming out hungry. May we not be satisfied until the Cup is ours. 3. I don't see a reason why I can't. The build us good and will only get better. 4. Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face. Teams will adjust as the season goes on it is only natural. 5. He has finally become one of the best goalkeeper in the league. 6. Things should begin to calm down for me at least. It has been a busy summer.

It is amazing to think a something like a simulation league can have a long existence. To think that something of this fringe hobby can last as long as the VHL has is an significant achievement. This league is indeed something special. But what makes this league the juggernaut mainstay it has become is where many other leagues have long fallen into obscurity? I will voice my answers to this question. The league structure is an amazing entrypoint into sim leagues. Having a application available is huge for being inviting to new players. Giving room for creative art, writing, or speaking is dream come true for creative types. The league is competive and rewards those who put the effort in but still gives room for those who would rather chill. The league is built around an international game and thus is formed as an international league with teams in both NorthAmerica and Europe. The sim engine while not as big and flashy as like a sport videogame as is common in other leagues, it is consistent updated and refine over the years. We have group of writers publishing top quality articles for all members. and that leads to my main point. While are these features help the league work, the real power that has kept the league going after all this time is the people. The passion that all the leaders of the VHL possess from each members of the Boad of Governor down to the lowest AGM is evidence in all that these do to support the league. These people sweat every detail to make everything as perfect as it can be. But more than just being great leaders they are great people here. Everyone here is so willing to jump in to help everyone out not only succeed in the game but in the real world as well. This community is one of the best places on the whole internet in general with none of the destructive toxicity that is tearing the world apart and that I personally despise. If a sim league is only as strong as its members, the VHL is as strong and unbreakable as a diamond. I am proud to be a small part of amazing place and to call myselfa VHL member. As we celebrate the seventeen birthday celebration of our common found home and family, I can't help but look ahead to the big milestones that are soon to come. It will not be long before we celebrate the one hundredth season of VHL and VHLM play, an unprecedented achievement. Then in three years, in will be the twentieth birthday of our beloved league, sure to be a celebration like none other. The only reason the VHL has gone the distant it has is entirely the result of our love and passion for the game and each other. That is what makes the VHL the special league it is today and tomorrow. Here is a toast to all of us who have kept this league going. This is our achievement.
