  1. The one time you are actually on the some continent... smh
  2. Graphic courtesy of Leandrofg The Wild have played 64 games and stand at second seed in the Western Conference, which is also good enough for second in the league. During the course of the season the Saskatchewan team amassed 93 points and +69 (nice!) goal difference. They are not an offensive powerhouse like the Hounds or even Halifax, but rely on a very solid defence (second-least goals against behind the Marlins) and scoring in the aggregate, as none of the Saskatoon players is in the top ten in scoring. In fact, only Costova is above a point per game. Alas, five Wild should have 50+ points at the end of the regular season (Schwarzer is only three points shy of that mark with eight games remaining). If we add the 25 points Schwarzer scored in a Houston uniform, they are even Saskatoon's topscoring forward and also above a point per game. The netminding duo Reed/Bobbly are solid in their performance, reliable and able to steal the odd game. They do not measure up to the likes of Syko though, who leads practically all stats for starting goalkeepers. The heart and soul of the team are the backs, chief amongst them Kagamine, Ford and Janser, who keep a lot of the pucks away from the slot. While Ford scored the most points of the Saskatchewan defenders, he also blocked the most shots (and revolutionizing the way cars are built on the side). Kagamine is the least physical of the three with a decent production and a good shot block counter. They also spent the least amount of time in the sin bin. Which leads us to Janser, who is clearly paid for his body. He is third in the league in hits dished out and third-most punished player in the VHLM. Alas his point total of 42 points is not to be sneezed at, considering his limited offensive talent. All in all, the Wild caught their free fall at the start of the season and landed some respectable results against other top teams such as San Diego or Mississauga. The team did develop on a decent pace and no roster player was dismissed during the season due to lack of progress. The S91 players have every reason to be excited for the oncoming draft. We are convinced that some of the players will play in the VHL sooner rather than later and add depth or even star power to their respective teams. We are of the opinion that some players would not be out of place in the VHLE already at this point in time. The only noteworthy personel change since we last reported from Saskatchewan, was at the helm. Viper surprisingly announced to step down and well reputed Berocka took over. It is rumoured that the latter enjoys so much street cred, that he can coach the team from Melbourne. We will see whether the Australian native can steer the Wild to a path of glory and get them the first Founder's Cup since S82. Please find C.G.Y. Janser's stats for the current season: 64gp, 10g, 32a, 42pts, +19, 86 PIM, 226 hits, 86sb, 1gwg, 3ppg, 3 First Star nominations We will revert with updates in due course. 4. The Saskatoon Wild were having a team building event and visited the local bowling center. During the course of the matches (with randomly assembled teams) it became clear, why CGY does not follow the footsteps of his potential HOF dad. The man has poor hand-eye co-ordination and cleared the gutter several times to the dismay (or amusement, depending on the team affiliation of the respective person) of the Wild roster. With such a handicap he would make a poor center. After a few non-alcoholic drinks, Callum drove home and recalled that during the last thunderstorm, he noticed that the roof gutter must be blocked, as the water was overflowing. So he took out the ladder and had a look on the gutter. 'It is interesting what gets caught up in a rain gutter if you leave it unattended for long enough.' he thought to himself when he scooped up what looked like a nest of drowned rats. 'No wonder the water could not drain properly.' After he cleared that kind of gutter as well, he pulled up Kurt's email with the suggested updates to his yacht. Callum studied them and the blueprint of the full displacement, steel hulled ship. 'It can be done, but it would require a longer stay in the drydock and we have to basically gut the engine room and everything connected to it. And the bunker holds can be downsized to make room for more storage or overflow accommodation. It won't be cheap. Additionally, it will be like a makeshift arrangement at the end of the day. I will let gramps know about my evaluation and recommend to order a new ship, rather than tampering with a perfectly fine ship.' He sent an email along those lines to his grand-dad and called it a day. Practice is early tomorrow morning.
  5. Not sure whether you are trolling, but the original name was not Rainbow Colours, but something along the lines of 'be silent *enter user name*
  6. related to legendary Seychellois Zaza Colors?
  7. Detroit had their 'Russian Five', London has their 'Russian Three', which answers the age old question: How many Russians does it take to change a bulb win a Continental Cup.
  8. 1. Top in hits and PIM's as expected, solid +/- and about .5 points per game. Performed as advertised I would say. 2. I think it is our scoring in the aggregate, we do not have one super star like Mississauge with Ironhide and behind that a void. 3. Yeah I did it pretty early in the week. 4. Not at all. I do not drink coffee unless it is Irished up to the point you can read a newspaper through it. 5. I like so many... mango or hazelnut are my favourite right now, but it is a constant change. 6. Because I got cojones, of course.
