  2. Review: Not too much going on in the graphic but it's well done. Loving the faded out Wranglers logo job on the bottem left and those skaters look really cool. People already mentioned this, but the font does look a bit too robotic and unatural to the eye. But that's really it. Well done! 9/10
  3. Some great piece of work here. I love the visual apperence of the black in the top right. Black goes well with this graphic too. While the font just compliments the work even more. I can't say enough about this graphic, you nailed it here. I really don't have any negitives here. Everything looks clean and crisp, well done! 9.5/10
  4. Cologne Express: A Crucial Examination Cologne: As of right now, the Cologne Express has had amazing success so far. So far in season 81, the young and talented group sits third overall in the VHLE standings. They’ve topped out at 80 points for the season, beating their Season 80 record (75 points). Not only that, they are only 4 points out of the first overall spot in the VHLE. Cologne will be looking to push for the top spot after their holidays are over. But the real question here is, how did they end up in such a spot anyways? What did the GM @BarzalGoat and Players do to see such success in Cologne? Season 80 When Season 80 came to a close, Cologne was in a really tough spot. They had just missed out on the playoffs and finished 5th overall in the league. Cologne had some amazing offensive production with the likes of Nathaniel Minion @Minion (46 G, 56 A, 102 P), Darth Kaprizov @Darth Kaprizov (40 G, 49 A, 89 P) and Gary Tarantino II @Garrett (19 G, 49 A, 68 P) leading the way for the young offense. Although their defense wasn’t elite, it could still get the job done with the physical Zeljko Ranogajec @ColeMrtz who racked up 311 hits and his linemate and Olof Samuelsson @Azlan, who is a defensive playmaker with 15 goals and 68 assists in total. When the Season 81 VHLE draft came, the management knew they had to push for the playoffs and maybe even for the title of the VHLE Cup. They tried to establish this by bringing in right-winger Maximus Decimus Meridius @Beaviss, who at the time was one of the top players on the draft board. The Express would be bringing in a small but fast kid, listed as 5’11 and 175 pounds with astonishing offensive capabilities. He was known to be an elite skater with an amazing shot when playing for the Yukon Rush. With 47 goals and 43 assists last year playing in the VHLM. Later in the draft, the Express then took a young forward in Alexandre Leduc @Alexandre. Leduc, a young Canadian who was a teammate with Decimus Meridius in Yukon had quickly risen up the draft rankings. Being an amazing goal scorer and a great puck handler, Alexandre Leduc checked off all the boxes for Cologne. Last year with Yukon, Leduc impressed many, with 35 goals and 55 assists. Scouts easily saw the offensive potential the young winger had and Cologne didn’t waste their time to bring in a generational forward to their system. Season 81 When Season 81 came around, there were a lot of high expectations for Cologne going into the season. With a disappointing end to Season 80, the players and management of Cologne made sure to not repeat such failure this time around. A last-minute trade came in for the Express before the season started. This trade had Sting Chameleon @Hybrid1486, a defenseman who was known to be an amazing passer, racking up 77 assists last year with the Yukon Rush. Going to the Bratislava Watchmen for Centerman, Pippo Coca @pippo. Coca had shown last year in Season 80 that he could keep up with the big guys of the VHLE. Scoring 20 goals while picking up 54 assists with none other than the Watchmen. It’s safe to assume that Cologne hoped that Coca’s experience as a center would be a valuable asset to the team. As more games commenced, the Express, although doing margins better than last year, was still looking like a middle-of-the-pack team once again. This didn’t sit too well with the Cologne management, it was either go big or go home for them. No more in between. They addressed this issue and made sure to make a splash in the upcoming weeks… The Cologne Express finalized a deal for the young rookie sensation in Sergey Preobrazhensky from the Geneva Rush, giving away Pippo Coca and a S82 Second-Round pick. Many VHLE fans were shocked and disappointed to see that Cologne was moving on from Pippo Cola. But we must put ourselves in the management’s shoes, Pippo Cola was clearly not getting it done in Cologne. The management had to act fast before the point of no return. Their replacement was Sergey Preobrazhensky, Sergey had much more offensive capabilities than Pippo. Being a significantly better puck handler with precision shooting accuracy, Sergey was the go-to replacement for Pippo Cola. One of the downsides to Sergey was that it was his first-ever season in the VHLE, the experience that Pippo Cola had was not there. But with Geneva, he was on fire, with 12 goals and 15 assists in just 24 games, he was just too good to pass up. Sergey Preobrazhensky has done a masterful job after coming from that trade. Although having a slow start with the Express. Sergey seems to have found his footing with his new team, scoring 45 points with the team in 36 games. It’s safe to assume that this trade had done wonders for them, Preobrazhensky added a key part of the puzzle that Cologne was missing. A reliable Centerman. After this trade, this is when the Express saw a slight uptick in winning, and marking the beginning of an era in Cologne. The Cologne Express weren’t done with their trades though, they still had one more thing up their sleeve. A little more than a week after their deal with Preobrazhensky. The Express decided they wanted more offensive firepower and brought in the Japanese, Arthur Kimura @FBR from the Vasteras Iron Eagles while giving Craig Martin @Craig and an S82 4th Round Pick in return. It was Craig Martin’s second season in the VHLE, last year Martin posted 29 goals with 40 goals. Although these stats are nothing mind-boggling. Martin showed that he was an efficient offensive forward for teams. But Arthur Kimura brought more to the table in the eyes of the management. Although last year was an offensively disappointing year for him with only 31 points in 72 games. Kimura already broke his point total with Vasteras this season, with 35 points in 48 games. With such a leap in progress for Kimura, there is no telling what the kid can do, which is one of the likely reasons why Cologne sought to bring in the young forward. There is a very small sample size for Arthur Kimura, playing only 12 games with his new team. But with 4 goals and 6 assists totaling up to 10 points alongside Cologne, it’s safe to say that he’s fitting in well with the organization. The trade for Kimura seemed to be the last piece of the puzzle for Cologne. They’ve bolstered the offense to an elite status, which will very well be a problem for other teams defenses. So far, Cologne has made massive strides to achieve success this season. The Offense has been revamped with amazing young talent in Maximus Decimus, Leduc, Preobrazhensky and Kimura. My hat goes off to the management that saw the opportunity in this team, and made it one of the most feared teams in the VHLE this season. Watch out for the Cologne Express everyone, this team might just be the real deal… 1195 Words Claiming: 12/26 and 1/02

  6. Very cool little graphic here! Love how the font and the placement of it. It really stands out in my eyes. The cut out is great too, and the background is very nice and goes hand in hand with the graphic. Simple, but fun and clean piece of work! Well done! 8/10
  7. Very good job in this graphic! And I love the attention to detail on this piece! The reflection on the bottem of the graphic is very small, but says a ton about the time and effort you put into this. Colors blend in well with the graphic, nice font. Overall an amazing job well done! 9/10
  8. Saskatoon Wild: Player Radar Saskatoon: As over half of the VHLM regular has come to a fast finish, the Saskatoon Wild have seen some great growth out of their own players. Although 4th place in their conference only ahead of the rebuilding Mexico City Kings, there have been some astonishing accomplishments coming out of Saskatoon. The likes of Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin (@Grape) and Weenuk Warrior (@KnightRiley) have been carrying the offence with their experience and expertise. Although they’ve had a slow start padding up the stat board, they’ve been a significant help in shaping the younger generation of rookies in Saskatoon. There have been quite a lot of rookies signing with Saskatoon, most notably on the offensive side of the puck. Over 8 out of the 10 forwards in Saskatoon are rookies, playing their first year in the VHLM. There have been some standout rookies in the Saskatoon system that both VHLE and VHL teams should look out for… Tyler Thode (@Thode) is a key player and is a significant asset to Saskatoon. But for some reason, he has flown under the radar from both the media and fans. He’s a great playmaker that can make something out of practically nothing. On top of that, his growth has been outstanding compared to other rookies and he’ll only get better as time passes. We’re excited to see what the young rookie has in store for the near future. Jack Quill (@GoldGear88) has been a topic of discussion recently, the center has racked up the assists as of late and is a great compliment to the passing game we have in Saskatoon. He’s making some steady gains as the week's pass, it’s an honour to have someone like Jack in our system. Last but not least, we have Nick Letty (@Turnip67), who's earned respect in and around Saskatoon’s locker room. Letty, who is just sixteen years old, is a thorn in the side of many opponents. He’s known for having an incredible shot as well as being gifted with quick reflexes on the faceoff. That’s it for the offence, but what about for the defence? All of Saskatoon’s goaltenders and defensemen are first-year rookies, which comes at a clear disadvantage on the ice. Although Saskatoon’s defence has vastly underperformed this season, there are a few bright spots to go along with its struggles. Jeff Buffy (@Strider) is our defenseman in the spotlight, an amazing young defenseman that’s built like an absolute tank - listed as 6’5 and 235 pounds. Buffy is not afraid to throw his weight around, racking up 90 hits with 79 shots blocked. Another positive about Buffy is that he’s great at setting up his teammates for scoring opportunities, with numerous assists coming from none other than Jeff Buffy. Overall he’s a diamond in the rough, with more experience and time, who knows what Buffy can accomplish? Jay Saucey (@ToooSaucey) is the reliable and handy backup goaltender to Dylan Dubnyk. Although his 3.09 GAA may seem like nothing to be impressed about, considering how diminished and weak Saskatoon’s defence has been. He’s done fairly well considering the circumstances, he’s a prime example of dealing with adversity. Although there are a lot of bumps in the road for the Wild. It’s safe to say, they’re packing as much young talent you can ask for. We look forward to how these young stars progress through this season and throughout their whole career! Who knows? Maybe Saskatoon is growing a star in the making…

  10. Review: For your first graphic, it looks great! Much better than mine when I first started out! I like the affect that you put into the graphic, and a nice logo cutout background. I also like the addition of the little "VHL" logo on the jersey. Pretty good stuff. Although the font is tilted on an 90 degree angle making it extremely difficult to read. Font choice wasn't the best either. But overall, it was a nice job! I look forward to see how your graphics progress! 7/10
  11. Review: Very clean and nice graphic, the colors are really bland and dark, that gives me a feeling of a retro vibe. Logo swaps are clean, and I like how you had the players without a helmet, adds even more of a feeling that this was taken place a while back. Although nothing really jumps off the page when you look at the graphic, it was a really well done graphic. Nice job. 8/10
  12. All Aboard the Express - Sergey Preobrazhensky Moscow - There were mixed emotions around the league today as countless moves were made around the league in the past week. One of those trades included none other than our very own, Sergey Preobrazhensky. Yes that’s right, Sergey Preobrazhensky was heading to Cologne Express! While Geneva received Pippo Coca and a S82 Second Round pick in return for the rising young star. This wasn’t a surprise to many although, there were many lingering signs that Geneva was going to tank and sell this season. The new expansion team knew they just couldn’t keep up with the likes of the Watchmen, Red Wolves or the Gladiators. Sergey wasn’t their only player they traded away though. The young and mighty Zaza Colors was involved in a trade between Geneva and Stockholm, in return Geneva received Brent Skimmer with an addition of a S83 1st rounder and 3rd rounder. Lastly, George Sanderson, a physical defensemen was to be joining Zaza in Stockholm, with Geneva receiving Jyuunya Pureya Oneri Desu and a S82 1st rounder. Which in result, meant that Geneva traded all of their draftees picked in the Season 81 VHLE Entry Draft that are playing in the VHLE as of right now. “I don’t blame them for sending us all out, something clearly wasn’t working out there in Geneva. Both we as players and the organization knew that rebuilding was their best option as a newly formed franchise. Whatever happened in Geneva is now in the past, I’m not here to dwell about it. I’m pumped to be a part of a contending Cologne Express, I’ll do my very best to perform to the best of my abilities and help this team and it’s fanbase to bring them the success they deserve.” Sergey announced at his press conference in Cologne. Sergey got put on the 2nd line as a center behind his teammate Alexandre Leduc. Although visibly infuriated at being told to play below Leduc, he knew that these were the struggles of being with a new team. He had to cool his head and let his performance do the talking, and with any luck, he would move up to the 1st line. So far, Sergey has underperformed in his standards since coming to Cologne. Scoring 11 points in 14 games, (5 goals, 6 assists), he hopes to turn his slow start around in the future. Other notable stats are 11 hits and 5 shots blocked with his tenure in Cologne. It’s been an adventurous stay in the VHLE to say the least for Sergey Preobrazhensky, from a doozy of a draft, to being selected by a newly-made franchise with high hopes and then being shipped off to the Express. He hopes to have a mesmerizing time with the team, and help them on their road to the VHLE cup. Although playing very mediocre as of late, he hopes to kick things into high gear. All in all, although going through a rollercoaster of a ride in the VHLE, he’s excited to hop aboard the Express!
