  6. Review: Cool graphic, although I would've enjoyed it to be more vibrant and colorful. I assume you did the dark and black purposely for a different style, and I don't mind that at all. Nice creative and fun graphic too, the text on the black background really seems to fit well with each other. On top of that, I like the little blur effect you put on the text and person, although a small piece, it really complements the viewing experience. Overall, not much going on but executed perfectly, 8/10
  7. Review: You've made this graphic simply stunning! The red smoke rising from the bottom of the graphic is just perfect, while the font at the top is used in a very cleaver way. Not only that, but you've decided to implement as well. Great player cut out, but I'm mostly amazed by the logo swap. The way the player was positioned made it plenty more difficult to make a good logo swap. But you excited it perfectly. Overall, it was an amazing effort and a job well done! 9.5/10

  9. Sergey Preobrazhensky on His Promotion + WJC Recap Moscow- It was a very joyful scene in the Preobrazhensky household this week as Sergey Preobrazhensky, a VHLE Star. Just got the call that he needed to pack up his bags in Cologne. Because he was officially headed towards Moscow to play for their VHL team. Ever since Sergey was a young boy, he had cheered for the Menace very fondly. It was now his time to contribute to the team and city he looked upon all throughout his life. “It’s great to come back home after traveling around the world playing hockey. I hope to stay in Moscow for the rest of my hockey career.” Young Sergey said with a beaming smile on his face. Moscow players and its fans have been aching for the Continental Cup. After losing two heartbreaking series against Vancouver in back-to-back years. The team is now motivated more than ever to bring the Cup back home. “This team has faced so many tough defeats in recent history, I wholeheartedly promise to bring Moscow the Continental Trophy. The fans deserve it now more than ever.” Sergey announced determinedly. But this wasn’t the only news up Sergey's alley. Several days ago, he had the honor of playing in the World Junior Championship once again representing Team Asia. Along with some of the brightest VHL prospects. Such as Yun Chiang and Nezuko playing right beside Sergey on the first line. As some might’ve recalled, Sergey had a miserable WJC last season, producing a limited amount of offensive production for the team. Many fans were quick to criticize the Russian after his disappointing performances. Sergey made sure that this wouldn’t be the case in this year’s WJC. “I know I underperformed last year, but I’ve improved greatly in my hockey abilities. I have what it takes to keep up with the big guys this year.” Sergey seemed to have kept his promise when it was all said and done. Although Team Asia was tied for last place with Team World, Sergey was one of the bright spots on the team. Leading the team in points (15) and assists (10), he made sure to put on a show for his fans. After a heartbreaking overtime loss to Team World last night. Sergey spoke out about his time in the WJC. “I’ve had an amazing experience throughout my time in the WJC. I had the pleasure of playing with numerous rising stars, and I hope to see them on the ice in the VHL.” Sergey didn’t only talk about his time in the WJC though, he also boasted about his WJC performance. “I knew I was going to kick ass in the tournament. It’s good that you guys finally got to see what I was made out of.” The tide has turned for Sergey Preobrazhensky. After an exhilarating performance in the WJC and being called up to the VHL, things are all going right for him. Sergey hopes to keep this up when playing for the Menace, which will be a few weeks away. We hope for nothing but the best for the young star!

  11. Saskatoon Press Conference Answer all questions for easy two TPE! WJC is starting soon! Who wins? How is your player feeling for the upcoming VHLM/VHLE Drafts? What is the greatest weakness your player possesses? Any team you would like to be picked by in the draft? Best VHL team logo? What was your favorite part of Season 81?
  12. Review: A lot of info added onto here, colors are easy on the eyes and fit perfectly into the graphic. On top of that, the logos and font are placed beautifully and the font choice was spectacular for the type of graphic. Lastly the player photo on the side was a great finishing touch, clean logo swap and looks very natural. The KHL logo on the jersey could’ve been cut out, but that’s a very minor thing. Overall, well done! The graphic was informative and visually appealing to look at 9/10.
  13. Review: Haha, an extremely different and creative approach to a graphic, but in my opinion, you pulled it off extremely well. First of all, I love the bright lynx up top covered with fog/smoke, it really grasps the viewers attention to the artwork. The dark forest that you’ve incorporated to the background is also an amazing fit for the graphic. This graphic is very fascinating to me, although there is not much going on, it’s unique and executed perfectly. Well done! 9/10
  14. What’s Next? - Saskatoon Wild S81 Rap Up As the VHLM Finals come to an end (GG Lynx), there have been a lot of things on VHLM GM or AGM minds. Some are preparing for the S82 VHLM Dispersal Draft. Others are left feeling cold, depressed and nostalgic about their team that unfortunately had missed their mark. I guess as a Saskatoon AGM, it’s my duty to reflect on the S81 Saskatoon Roster. Coming into the season, there were low expectations for the Saskatoon Wild. They were not expected to be a top caliber team by any means. In the S81 draft, Saskatoon traded up for the first overall pick to certify their goalie position, picking up Cole Pearce who was a goalie quickly rising up the ranks. The Wild then went on to pick Connor Johnson, Rusty Cannon and Alessio Simeoni picked in the first three rounds of the draft. Lastly, in the latter rounds of the draft Saskatoon picked Jack Quill and Nick Letty in the 6th and 7th rounds respectively. The Wild evenly balanced out their picks with 3 defensive (Pearce, Johnson, Cannon) and 3 offensive (Simeoni, Quill, Letty) players picked in the draft. It was a successful draft for the Wild, they utilized all their draft picks as best as they could. And hoped to surprise some people when the season commenced. Not only did Saskatoon gain some skillful players through the draft, but they also acquired many of them through free agent signings. Picking up the likes of Tyler Thode, Sean Murphy, Latavuis Jackson, Chase Taylor, Chris Irons, Blake MacTavish, Jeff Buffy, Bob Rob, Bradley Wall, Ostin Leavens and Jay Saucey along the way. As games passed on the schedule passed for the Wild. It became clear that the Wild couldn’t keep up with the front runners of the VHLM. This ultimately led them to become sellers during the trade deadline. Trading their top players in Connor Johnson, Alessio Simeoni, Rusty Cannon, Cole Pearce. But for every trade, there has to be compensation. The Wild picked up Dylan Dubnyk, Robbie Robbie, Kyou Fujibayashi and tons of draft picks in return after all was said and done. Saskatoon finished with 55 points at the end of the regular season. Although it was marginally better than last year’s point total (33), Saskatoon found themselves at the bottom half in the teams standings. Even though this was the case, they managed to squeak into the playoffs to faceoff against the mighty Las Vegas Aces. As expected, the Wild roster was extremely outmatched by the Aces, losing the series 4-0. Which marked the end of the season for Saskatoon. Although the season might be considered a disappointment, I would beg to differ. In my first season as an AGM I’ve learned a multitude of things and I enjoyed contributing a tad more to this community. This is just the stepping stone for what’s to come in my managing career. Sky’s the limit for the Saskatoon team, and I look forward to seeing how far this team will go in the upcoming seasons!

  16. Nice job! Font choice was really well done, both for the background and on the player's jersey. The jersey swap and colors were really neat and well done, you made those edits look very real. And I liked the touch of the fog/smoke on rising from the bottom of the graphic. Very well done. 9/10
  17. Extraordinary job! Those colors are perfect and really make the graphic stand out when viewing it. Nice logo swap and player cutout. Cool shading on the font as well. I can tell that there was a lot of effort put into this, the graphic looks clean and crisp! Overall I loved the bright and vibrant colors, it's really what put this graphic on top. 10/10
  18. Sergey Preobrazhensky: Season Recap Moscow- Several days ago, the Cologne Express ended their season in heart-breaking fashion. Losing Game 5 of the VHLE Semi Finals, 6-4 to Stockholm that ended the team’s chances for a run at the VHLE Cup. Many fans expected the team to make it to the finals and possibly even win the playoffs. In the end, the young Cologne team was unprepared against a tough Stockholm team. Although this was the case, Sergey Preobrazhensky played very well throughout the playoffs, racking up 4 goals and 1 assist in 5 games. We got a chance to ask him some questions after the game. Reporter: Hey Sergey, overall it has been a disappointing playoff series for your team. What do you think has been the biggest problem for the team in the playoffs? Sergey: I believe we didn’t stay true to the way we play. We had success against this team in the regular season. In the playoffs, we changed our play-style and became way too passive on offense, while not being aggressive on defense. That’s what ultimately led to our demise in my eyes. Reporter: Are you satisfied with your performance this season? Sergey: I would say that this season for me has been successful. I’ve honed my skills on the ice and I’ve matured as a player. I feel that I’m ready to take the next step in my VHL career. Reporter: How are you looking to progress throughout the off-season now that your season is done? Sergey: I’m just going to keep on working, simple as that. This off-season is going to be much less hectic for me as my (S81) draft is already done. Now I have more time to practice and learn by myself, which I’m looking forward to. But not all questions that Sergey answered were questions about this season, or this offseason. Some questions were directed at Sergey’s VHL future, as you may have already known, Sergey was drafted to the Moscow Menace. Although neither Sergey or the club has made it official that he’ll be called up to join the club. It's almost certain he will be, seeing the results he put up in the VHLE. Reporter: Regarding next season, if you were to land in Moscow next year. How much would that mean to you? Sergey: It would mean everything to me, Moscow holds a very special place in my heart. So it would be a dream come true if I could play hockey with them. Reporter: Your promotion to the VHL is inevitable. The VHL is a tough league with many stars, how will you be able to handle all the competition on the ice? Sergey: Yeah, many of hockey’s finest play right here in the VHL. But I’ve got to trust my skills on the ice. I know I have what it takes to become the best of the best if I really put my mind into it. Although this season was full of ups and downs for Sergey, he excelled in the VHLE. He’s shown everyone that he’s a force to be reckoned with. And it’s only a matter of time when his talent comes to the VHL. We applaud Sergey for his great skill on the ice, and we hope to see even more excellence from him next year!

  20. Amazing job! I love the overlapping of both the player, logo and the name! Colors are bit dull though, some other sort of color or shade to make the graphic have the "pop" that it needs would really help the design. Background also fits nicely with the graphic. Some great stuff, well done! 8/10
  21. Wow, this graphic, is amazing. Just amazing. The red and black shades match perfectly one another. The font looks great too and professional, logo swap is very clean and all the little touches and affects really add up to the graphic. Well done! There really isn't much to criticize about this piece of work. 9.5/10
