  9. Review: I'm really digging this, I love all the detail and the colors have stood out a lot in the graphic. The signature was done magnificently and it replicates as if someone actually wrote that. On top of that, I like the creative background with the DC Dragons logo peering in behind the "MID" text. The logo and color swap were seemed to be done very well. I also noticed how you added a reflection to the bottom of the graphic, that was a nice touch! Overall, I would give this a 9.5/10
  10. Preseason Begins! After long grueling weeks of no VHL hockey, the newly added Preseason was something fans of all VHL Leagues could enjoy. This was responded with immediate positivity among the fans, players and teams alike. The league could rake in more cash with an increased number of games. While players get to test the waters to prepare for an upcoming new season. While teams and managers get to look into players better in these scrimmage games, allowing them to utilize the player in the best of situations. In Moscow, the Preseason would begin with some amazing optimism from everyone. They’ve had most (if not every) player come back from last year to play in Season 83. These players have refined their skills and have been looking incredibly dangerous to opponent teams. Our very own Sergey Preobrazhensky was one of those players who excelled during the offseason and training camp. Coming into the Preseason, Sergey seemed much more confident on the ice, resulting in a much better performance out of the young center than we usually do. “I feel like I belong with this team, it was just meant to be and I look forward to every minute of it.” Sergey said with a giant grin on his face. He and his Moscow crew would start off winning all of the first three games they played on the ice. Sergey contributed with 3 points of his own to start out the Preseason. And it was all smiles in the locker room to start off the games. Across the pond, the Saskatoon Wild have also been able to play some games before the season started. Looking at Saskatoon’s roster, it was evident that they weren’t nearly as good as they once used to be. Other teams started to catch up to them and it showed. Saskatoon started their three games by losing all of them. Although this was the case, Saskatoon managed to battle and stay in the game against some of the top dogs in the league. Losing to both the Ottawa Lynx (4-5) and the Halifax 21st (2-3) in nail biting fashion. Not only that, but there were a few standout players in Saskatoon’s Preseason Opener. Boston (@CanucksFan), who had been known as one of the best offensive players in the VHLM. And he showed in during the games, posting five points in just three games. He is a key contributor to the offensive lineup, and many look forward to seeing what more he can do in the next five games. But it wasn’t just Boston who turned heads. The unlikely hero was Nicklas Jansson (@MayorError). Who was a splendid body checker as well as being playmaking machine out on the ice. Although not known for his offensive capabilities, he certainly showed critics that he has some offensive firepower in him. Posting four points with three assists on the day. Not only that, but he led the team in hits as well with thirteen. Jansson sure played his heart out today. The Wild looks forward to seeing how greatly both of the guy's can contribute to the team. The Preseason was an extremely successful addition to the VHL. I look forward to seeing how both the Moscow Menace and the Saskatoon Wild manage in the Regular Season. Maybe a playoff run is on the menu?

  21. After It’s All Said and Done - Saskatoon S83 VHLM Draft Overview Draft day is one of the most hectic days for the VHLM GM. Scouting, reaching out to players and trade discussions are some of the many things a General Manager of the VHLM will have to face. But that’s not the biggest thing when it comes to draft day. It’s actually seeing and talking to the newly drafted recruits set to play on the ice to represent the Saskatoon Wild. Although there have been some bumps in the road, I’ve felt like the draft process went well for this team. Saskatoon was left with a tough position when it came to draft time. Having six draft picks the draft with their highest pick being a second-rounder. Although it could’ve been much worse (take Houston for example), you could see some glaring holes in the Saskatoon roster. But I feel like I’ve utilized the picks well, so without further ado, here comes the Draft Recap! 19th Overall: (G) Basileus Jute @Matt thunder Coming in at 19th overall in the S83 VHLM Dispersal Draft, the Saskatoon Wild decided to select goaltender Basileus Jute. Although it might’ve seemed like a reach for a few, heading into this draft, there were very few trusted goaltenders in draft eligibility. To have a productive team, you need to have a productive goalie, which is one of the reasons why I decided to go ahead with the decision of picking Basileus Jute. 29th Overall: (LW) Boston @CanucksFan At 29th overall, the Wild picked up Boston, an ex-Halifax player. Last season, he had limited offensive production with just 24 points in 72 games. But from our scouting department, we believe that this guy has the chance to become a breakout star. We’re very excited to see what this guy can do on the ice with us. 49th Overall: (D) Nicklas Jansson @MayorError As the defensive lineup of Saskatoon still seemed to appear vacant coming up to our 49th overall pick, we’ve decided to take a chance on Nicklas Jansson. Jansson has a lot to prove coming into the league for his first time. He has a massive upside if he can tap into his potential as a defender. 59th Overall: (LW) Charlie Johnson @Camodude06 Coming in at 59th overall, Charlie Johnson was next up on Saskatoon’s list. He is also one of the first-year rookies drafted by Saskatoon. He possessed a raw natural talent in offensive capabilities and looks to transfer that to his very first VHLM season. 64th Overall: (RW) Ronaldono Ronaldono @ThomasSyster Ronaldono had been a thorn in the side for many teams with his short-lived stay for the Miami Marauders last year. Racking up 33 points in 30 games played. Ronaldono had been a pleasant surprise for Miami, Saskatoon is hoping he can transfer his skill to Saskatoon where his team desperately needs him. 69th Overall: (D) Jack Hoe @jack_hoe Ah yes, Jack Hoe. As the VHLM Draft was coming to a close, Saskatoon wanted to fill in another empty defensemen spot that they had. And this spot was used to bring Jack Hoe. Jack is another first-year player for the VHLM, Saskatoon has high hopes for this young defender. The skies are the limit for him if he keeps on working. Overall, I’m pleased with the drafting that took place today. Although there are still some left-out spots in the Saskatoon roster, we hope to fill them out through Waivers/Free Agency. I’m looking forward to seeing what this team can do come next season!

  25. Sergey Preobrazhensky Signs Blockbuster Deal with Moscow Moscow- As the offseason creeps closer to an end, Moscow has to make sure they lock up one of their future stars. Yesterday, it was announced by the Moscow Menace that they have signed the Russian Center for a two full-season contract with a player option for next season. This came with a positive reaction throughout the fanbase as Sergey has been an underrated and quality producer to this Moscow lineup.”It’s refreshing to know that I’ll be back in Moscow for the next following years. This is an electric city with passionate fans all around the country. I also want to take the time to thank the organization for bringing me back, it shows that they really are sold on me.” It’s great seeing the young star being kept in Moscow. So far, Sergey has had a nice start to his career, especially on the offensive side with 55 points in the regular season. Sergey looks to improve his offensive production while bringing success to the hungry Moscow fans. We look forward to seeing what he can do!
