npuBeT got a reaction from Spartan in Prospect scouting Report G-Ed Nu
    Good day, kind people!

    Name: Ed Nu
    Age: 16
    Height: 6'1"
    Weight: 192
    Position: G
    Number: 26
    Born: Shelkovo, Russia

VHL Drafted: 45th Overall (S81) The London United
VHLE Drafted: 31st Overall (S81) The Istanbul Red Wolves
VHLM Drafted: 23rd Overall (S81) The Ottawa Lynx

Ed may not be an outstanding goalkeeper, but he always strives to be a useful and necessary player. He tries his best to be useful to the team. Trying to watch not only the game and the puck, but also the behavior of other goalkeepers in the game, he remembers something, tries to learn something from more experienced goalkeepers. He also reviews his games by analyzing mistakes.

A little history of the player

Ed Nu as a player appeared a little later than the middle of the S80 season, and was immediately invited to The Ottawa Lynx team as a backup goalkeeper, it was unexpected, because the player was young and not experienced, with not very good stats as a goalkeeper, but they believed him. And he justified the goalkeeper's hope (well, at least I think so). Missing not very much and controlling the course of the game, he was able to play 8 games in the dry. Even if they were not very difficult games, but still they were official games. His reaction and control of the game are commendable. Does this statistic mean anything?)

    Positives

Defensive skills (gate security is the most important thing a goalkeeper can have, it should be brought to automatism)
Evaluation of the game and surveillance of the players (without this, the goalkeeper is not a goalkeeper, he must think one step ahead or assume what will happen next)
Lateral vision (Oh, no matter how strange it may sound, but even focusing on the player, he keeps track of what is being done from his sides with his lateral vision)

    Negatives

Young (we were all young and our blood was boiling, we considered ourselves the best and thought that it was possible to do everything playfully)
Small height and weight (a very small goalkeeper who finds it difficult to cover all his "dead" points)
Not experienced (because of his age, he has no combat practice, and where a more mature and experienced player, even if worse in stats, can win, Ed Nu will lose. Even in the most difficult battle, an inexperienced but stronger warrior will lose to an aged warrior who has been in many battles)

    In Conclusion

Although Edna is a young and inexperienced player, he tries his best to be useful to the team, to be part of a big "family", to protect and not give up even in moments when it seems that everything is lost. Be a defender of the stronghold and prevent aggressors from breaking into the "house". Due to his youth, he learns very quickly and learns from other players, listens and absorbs like a sponge. He will try his best to be a wall at his gate. Do not give up and do not cry during losses. Be strong and persistent. And achieve to become a "legend")

Good day to all of you!

So the 80th season of games has passed, in which The Ottawa Lynx team noticed me at the last games, for which I am very grateful to her! After playing in it for a short time, we became conference champions! CONGRATULATIONS to the great game of all the players and especially to our coach @16z!

Then the season was over) And I went on a free voyage again, I was divided by two feelings, it seemed sad to leave a great team, but on the other hand, the opportunity for a new journey opened up!
And at some point I got a message from @Mcwolf.
I thought that I was being lured to another VHLM team, but how surprised I was when it turned out that it was the VHL London United team. I was in shock! In a pleasant shock! I want to express my great gratitude for such great trust! I hope I won't let you down)

Having calmed down on this, I already began to dream, as a message came from @kaleebthemighty from the Istanbul Red Wolves team, and then I got confused at all, how is this possible?) What have I done to make someone need me, because so many goalkeepers are stronger than me and much better. And here I am in two teams at once? Thank you for trusting the Wolves, I hope I will be useful to you and you will not be disappointed in me!

After being in a strange state for a while, @16z took me to The Ottawa Lynx, and so I returned HOME! In the house that I was accepted when I was out of practice, in a place where I was accepted green and not experienced, where I was taught a lot and given a hint how to behave at matches, in a team in which friendship and mutual assistance reigns! Thank you, my family!)

    Forever young Ed Nu!)

1 GUESS WHAT? WE JUST WON THE FRICKING VHLM, how are you feeling? you will always remember this day?
Of course I will, I just joined the team for a couple of games, and then a victory, plus at least a little bit, but I contributed a little bit to the victory)

2 Now, let's not lie, when yukon won game 6, where you scared to lose at game 7?
Honestly did not understand the question)

3 What will be your favorite memory of this season? in the cup? or will you have another memory in mind?
Of course about the fact that I just came and immediately won)

4 What will you miss more from this season? a player? the GM?
    Everything was on top)

5 If netflix had to make a film about us in the cup, which title would you propose? ( ( I would propose the underlying, get it? the underdog is now the underline as everyone thought yukon was going to win, but guess what? we won. )
    Not broken by time

6 The offseason begins, what is your player going to do at this time? train more or just relax?
    Train train and train again

1.) I was at home sitting on my recliner, so I'll probably forget it in a couple of years! Hopefully we can go back to back this season.
2.) The scary thing about game 7s is that it's just one game so anything can happen. Not that you should be scared to lose, but so many wacky things can happen in just one game.
3.) I was just happy to join the league!
4.) Not going to miss much to be honest, I was barely here.
5.) Hm...not really sure. They'd probably brand it with "Behind the Scenes" and then something...but if they didn't, maybe something like "Pouncing on Success: The S81 Ottawa Lynx"
6.) Gotta keep training - have to earn my spot on this team.

    1. With Yukon leaving for the E next season and the draft now concluded, which team do you think could to be our next rival?

    2. Any changes to the league you see with less teams?

    3. The last team to win back to back Founder's Cups was way back in S47-S48 when Bratislavia was around the first time.. What is the main thing we need to do to?

    4. What kind of player are you? Adjustable or would rather gain chemistry with a certain linemate? (goaltenders can have a favorite defender xD)

    5. If you had a choice to take 3 penalties in 3 different periods or 1 in the last minute, what would you choose?

    6. What is your favorite thing about the VHL?

Answer all 6 for 2 tpe, 3 for 1 tpe!

    2. I don’t really see any changes to the league with less teams.
    3. The main thing Ottawa needs to do is score a lot of goals and prevent other teams from scoring more than us.
    4. I’m adjustable and can work with any line that I’m put on.
    5. 3 penalties on 3 different periods.
    6. I’m still new to the vhl but I like that I can play my favorite sport virtually and learn new things.

    1. San Diego, Philadelphia and Halifax all of them have a great team this season so one of them for sure.

    2. Not really, but all the teams is more balance but it’s really depends on picks and waivers claim.

    3. focus on our game. Execute the game plan.

    4. Im really adjustable, I love to help in the offensive zone but without compromising my position in the defensive zone.

    5. That’s a tough question. Damn I think I would choose the last minute penalty.

I've reached over 200 TPE and that means I'm officially kicked out of the M.  Just kidding, although that is true. Now it's time for 400 before I get kicked out! Yay!

But on a serious note, I have some people to thank in great Dom-Dom tradition.

@16z for leading us to the cup.
@Mattylive3k for being an absolute STUD in the postseason and scoring the game winning goal in Game 7.
@NickSunderbruch and @npuBeT for being our fuckin' awesome goalies. Postseason or not.
@Matt thunder for being our AGM in Ottawa.

Jason Lajeunesse has been hooked on hockey ever since he saw his dad play, and when his dad would take him to a lot of Sarnia Sting games in his hometown. Jason had his focus set on one thing, going pro. Anything less wasn't satisfactory. Although his childhood was a struggle, his parents couldn't afford to pay for AAA team fees, even though he knew he could be the best on that team. So he had to play AA. Where he put up 2 PPG for three seasons. But when he turned 15, he took his chance. He did everything he can to pay for tryouts. He payed, and eventually he made the team.

    15 Years Old | Alliance AAA | Lambton Sting | 30 GP 45 Pts

He had an outstanding year in AAA, putting up 1.5 PPG. This is where he started laying the groundwork for a great hockey career. He was only 5'2" and 115 lbs.

    16 Years Old | GOJHL Jr. B | Sarnia Legionnaires | 50 GP 30 Pts

This year he moved up and played for his Hometown teams affiliate, this meant if he gets called up, he's playing for the team he's dreamed of playing for his entire life. He put on some muscle weight and some height finally. He is now 5'5" and 140 lbs.

    17 Years Old | OHL | Sarnia Sting | 68 GP 30 Pts

Jason put up decent numbers with his first year with his hometown team. Just a few more years.

    18 Years Old | OHL | Sarnia Sting | 68 GP 45 Pts

    19 Years Old | OHL | Sarnia Sting | 68 GP 50 Pts

    20 Years Old | OHL | London Knights | 68 GP 40 Pts

This year was a decrease in points. But he didn't see it as a bad thing, he saw it as opportunity for improvement. Due to him being close to overage, the Sting traded him to the stacked Knights team.

After this year, it was finally time he moved up, he was drafted 5th Round, 54th Overall by the Ottawa Lynx in the VHLM Draft.

    21 Years Old | VHLM | Ottawa Lynx | 72 GP 17 Pts

Jason Lajeunesse struggled in his first year in the VHLM. But in these next couple years, he is determined to be the top of the pack in the VHL.

Now, at 22 Years Old he is playing for the Ottawa Lynx, he was drafted in the 4th Round, 50th Overall in the VHL Draft by the New York Americans, and is a top prospect within the organization.

npuBeT got a reaction from Spartan in Еhe first game for a new goalkeeper
It was a normal day when everyone gathered in the locker room after training and the coach turned his attention to himself. At first everything was as usual, the coach talked about training, about the future game and the starting lineup. To be honest, I didn't listen very carefully and then the coach says that I will be the starting goalkeeper..... It seemed to me that I misheard and looked in the direction of the coach, but he looked straight into my eyes.... It wasn't a joke....

And here is the day of the game, to say that I was shaking, not to say anything. My stomach twisted. my arms and legs were numb, I even forgot which way to go out of the locker room. I stood in the gate. These are not transferable sensations, people are looking at you, the team is cheering, the buzz and whistles and shouts are mixed. And then I got even more excited, thinking "that this will be my shameful first game", the first period began. I didn't even understand what happened when the opponent's player was already hitting my goal, everything happened automatically.

0:09 of 1st period - Stopped by Ed Nu without a rebound.

I didn't miss, I hit the puck, for the first time in my life in a big game, I hit the puck. I was excited and on adrenaline, it was like I was flying above the clouds, I was happy.

Then we scored the first goal, I was so happy and happy, as if it was me who scored. I was proud of the team!

    1:33 of 1st period - Goal by Joe Mama - Saskatoon Wild : 0 - Ottawa Lynx : 1.

Then there were more goals and half of the first period passed and the opposing players could not get to my goal. And then thoughts began to creep into my head that I was put on a game where the opponent would not be able to attack, it even became sad, the thoughts were that the coach considers me still weak and inexperienced, but, as they say, "don't yawn or a fly will fly into my mouth" another puck flew to me

11:23 of 1st period - Stopped by Ed Nu without a rebound.

And then another and another. Apparently our team also began to relax and the opponents began to gain momentum. That's how the first period ended, I didn't even understand how my jitters ended, and I wanted to keep playing again and again

The second period began, everything became as it was at the beginning of the first, we dominated. But at the 8th minute I missed my first goal.

    8:24 of 2nd period - Goal by β-SSK LW4 - Saskatoon Wild : 1 - Ottawa Lynx : 6.

Probably I will never forget this sadness that rolled over me, I thought I was going to cry, it was as if condemning looks fell on me from all sides, I was even afraid to raise my head, but having mastered myself, I looked at the team. There was no condemnation or anger in their eyes, on the contrary, everyone began to cheer and support me. Honestly, I didn't expect this, I was afraid, but in vain. So the second period passed. There was a tray behind him, and then I missed my second puck. But there were no such experiences. My team was with me and tried their best. And we won!!!!!!!!

It was an amazing game, this victory was a team! And my personal little victory!

    Ed Nu (OTT), 18 saves from 20 shots - (0.900), W, 1-0-0, 60:00 minutes

Immediately I apologize for the Google translator

What will I do after I finish my career and retire? Do you think about such a long time ahead? Don't you think what will happen in a week, and then think about the future? Anything can happen, I can twist my leg, I can get into trouble, or even worse, death will happen. There is no need to be afraid of this, this is our life, our future and our destiny.

But to be honest. I would open my own hockey school. I would only take there children from "difficult" and "poor" families, as well as children who have no parents, orphans. In our country, without financial opportunities, there is no opportunity to become a good player in any sport. Even if you have talent, even if you are a "genius", without money you are a dummy.

And there are a lot of talented kids among the "special" children. They work hard, give their best to achieve their goal. they are so unlucky in life, but they do not give up, they fight. Looking at them, I want everyone around to be like this, it doesn't matter if it's a sport or a simple hard worker. We must be kinder and try our best to achieve our goals. Money should bring joy and happiness not only to oneself, but to everyone around, and then life will be more pleasant.  I want the sport to develop not only at the expense of big money, but also talented children. And if it turns out, I will also fight to the end to become a good player and in the future pass on the experience and smarter to all children!

But for now I have a long way to go and I will walk it with my head held high!

In general, I am a lazy person by nature. After finishing my career, I would just rest. He took his whole family, would have married and already raised his children. So that in old age there would be someone to "serve" a glass of water. Because children are our continuation of the family, our future and our further development. In general, everything we do in life will affect our future generation.
I remember a case from my childhood. When I was 8 or 9 years old, my grandfather and I went to the tank range, to look at the tanks, at their shooting range. It was necessary to pass a small field and forest to the landfill, or rather to the permitted zone. In this forest, for the first time in my life, I saw an owl, big and beautiful. I got scared and grabbed my grandfather's hand. My grandfather then laughed and said that they are harmless, they just live here.

Time has passed, I have returned to the places of my childhood, and now the field has been built up with houses, this forest has been cut down. It turns out that we have not left our descendants beautiful places. And that's a pity.
