Activity can trump TPE, you've been really good about it lately. Wouldn't be surprised if you were one! Kendrick has me projected at 13th overall and there is a lot of activity in the draft, which leads me to believe I'll be somewhere around that 7-13 area. Does joining at the beginning of S45 have any advantages? To my knowledge everyone projected to go ahead of me in the draft joined in S44.

So guys I'll be at 126 TPE at the end of this week, is that good enough to warrant a first round pick?

Moscow Red Wolves RW – Travis Willcox: 114 TPE RW – Jace Hines: 159 TPE RW – Lucas Galeano: 51 TPE RW – LeAndre St. Pierre: 120 TPE RW – Pete Stockton: 169 TPE RW – Shawn Muller: 166 TPE LW – Bjorn Kobayashi: 34 TPE LW – Lucas Villa: 36 TPE LW – Josh Merica: 107 TPE C – Oliver Cleary: 13 TPE C – Bobby Boucher: 85 TPE C – Jory Rose: 116 TPE D – Arcturus Mengsk: 242 TPE D – Lucas Zhukenov: 125 TPE D – Tanner Hynes: 66 TPE D – Pierre-Luc Lefrancois: 0 TPE D – World B. Free: 118 TPE G – Sandro Clegane: 282 TPE G – Lenny Face: 65 TPE Brampton Blades LW – Jensen Svendsen: 0 TPE LW – Azor Ahai: 12 TPE LW – Danger Van der Merwe: 0 TPE LW – Lee Sang-Hyeok: 46 TPE LW – Matt Johnson: 41 TPE LW – Vincent Virtanen: 61 TPE C – Jefferson Jackson: 67 TPE C – Maxime Deschamps: 128 TPE C – Tom Lincoln: 112 TPE D – Zach Voss: 66 TPE D – Saul Hackett: 174 TPE D – Daryn Petersenn: 0 TPE D – Mikael Lagerkvist: 0 TPE D – Dennis Saad: 0 TPE D – Ken Anderson: 91 TPE G – Corey Marino: 0 TPE G – Chris Fekete: 22 TPE G – Atticus Von Braxton IV: 50 TPE Tale of the Tape: Brampton - 870 TPE Moscow - 2,068 TPE Clearly the Red Wolves have the advantage in the ever-so-important category of total points earned. This statistic isn’t always a clear indicator of who is going to win a certain game, but over the course of a seven game series it is very much a factor. The Red Wolves get production from all over the ice, but one glaring weakness compared to the Blades is at center. If there is one area where you want to have an advantage during the playoffs, it is here. Leadership means so much at this point in the season and the Blades could potentially have that edge on every shift. Moscow averages 71.3 TPE from their center position, while Brampton checks in at 102.3 TPE per center. If Brampton wants to have any chance at a VHLM season 45 championship, they must exploit the Moscow weakness at center. Goaltending: Brampton – Atticus Von Braxton IV (50 TPE), Chris Fekete (22 TPE), Corey Marino (0 TPE) Moscow – Sandro Clegane (282 TPE), Lenny Face (65 TPE) It is widely known in the game of hockey that goal tending wins championships. More specifically, hot goalies typically steal the show in the playoffs. The hottest one in the post-season thus far is none other than Sandro Clegane. The fact that they can run Sandro Clegane out there in every game is a huge advantage. Clegane has played great in the playoffs so far and it doesn’t look like he will slow down in the finals. Even if Moscow would start their backup, they would still have an advantage over all three potential Brampton goaltenders. The combination of Von Braxton IV and Fekete will need to play their best games of the season and hope that Clegane has a few bad games if Brampton wants to pull off the upset. Star Power: Brampton – D: Saul Hackett (174 TPE), C: Maxime Deschamps (128 TPE), C: Tom Lincoln (112 TPE) Moscow – D: Arcturus Mengsk (242 TPE), RW: Pete Stockton (169 TPE), RW: Shawn Muller (166 TPE), RW: Jace Hines (159 TPE) We know about the large difference in total points earned between these two teams, but how about the disparity between the best players on each team? Just like goaltending, production from top players often sets one team apart from the other in a seven game series. Pete Stockton, Shawn Muller, and Jace Hines can all put the puck in the net anytime they step onto the ice. The best part about that for Moscow? The fact that Arcturus Mengsk had more points than all three of them in the regular season. Even though Brampton brings a potential top two pick in the VHL draft to the table with Saul Hackett, their stars heavily outweigh the top players for the Blades. Prediction: Red Wolves win series 4-1

VHLSC: S46 Rankings #8 - Two Round Mock Draft
atw2592 replied to Kendrick's topic in VHCS Draft Rankings
Unlucky number 13 :/ -
Well the draft will be here before you know it and I've been contacted by two teams thus far. Toronto is of course the first team as most of you know, but the second team is new to the picture. Who is this mystery team you ask? Well you fuckers will just have to find out. Their GM is a cool guy and I think I would enjoy playing for him. I'm hoping I just get some playing time no matter where I end up. Whether that be as a first liner or fourth liner, I really don't care. I should be able to give whichever team I go to some scoring power, maybe 15-20 goals and 25-30 assists. I would be happy with that for sure. I honestly don't know exactly where in the draft I'm going to end up being taken. I hope I go in the first round because that would be pretty badass. No matter what happens, I can't wait to join the VHL and actually feel like I'm worth something.

How dare you put NY on your do not draft list Don't get mad at me, get mad at the Mets. What does real life have to do with a sim league? I hate the Giants and Mets but am in NY. I don't have much of a choice where I go anyway. But I just couldn't get myself to cheer for a New York team at this point in time.
-
I would like to participate as well

HC Davos is off my don't draft me list. The only one on there now is New York

Good series, best of luck to Bern the rest of the way.

Title is required now. Did you know that?

No shit you'd rather play Bern than Oslo. We'll light your ass up (and my own ass too, I guess). -

You are Jewish and Native American, it doesn't count. But seriously, the Redskins suck. -
LSP still has incorrect attributes.

I was at game 4. I wanted to murder someone. -
Toronto Legion – Toronto is number one on this list because quite frankly, they’re the only team to have contacted me about playing for them thus far. In fact, they’ve contacted me twice already. I like that kind of personalization. It makes me feel all special and shit. Seattle Bears – I’ve always thought Seattle needed an NHL team. With the Super Sonics leaving and the Mariners being terrible, really all they have are the Seahawks. And boy do they fill that stadium and keep it loud. I can only imagine how loud a hockey arena would be, especially when all the fans are chanting my name after a nasty dangle and a top shelf finish. I also think Pearl Jam is a pretty fuckin’ sweet band. Quebec City Meute – Now I don’t exactly know what a “Meute” is or how it’s even pronounced, but the logo looks badass and it reminds me of a wolf. Wolves can fuck some shit up big time. Ever since the Quebec Nordiques (another badass team name of which I have no idea what it means) moved to Colorado, I always wished for a team to move back there. Riga Reign – Spelling the word rain “reign” is pretty cool. I remember playing with the Seattle Reign in the old Blitz: The League games. So yes, I actually know what “reign” means. I’m not as stupid as you think, assholes. Oh yeah and Riga has some sweet buildings. Helsinki Titans – I wouldn’t mind playing in Finland, but when I see the logo it kind of reminds me of the Tennessee Titans, who are an abomination of a football franchise. However, the movie “Remember the Titans” is an outstanding movie and one of my all-time favorites, so that makes up for it. Cologne Express – I’m not crazy about having to learn how to speak German. It’s a crazy language and I laugh every time I hear someone speak it. People just sound so angry when they’re talking. Also, there is this Hitler guy that I wasn’t too fond of. Calgary Wranglers – Way too similar to the Flames. Their GM is named after Tim Tebow, so they do get a small boost. I still think that guy should be playing in the NFL. All he does is win games. Who cares if he doesn’t throw a spiral and takes five minutes to get the throw off? Having more points than the other team is all that matters. Stockholm Vikings – I feel like this is such a typical team name. I get it, when people think of Sweden they think of Vikings. My ancestors came from Sweden and they would probably be offended of this team. Just like the Native Americans and the Washington Redskins, who are also a terrible football franchise. New York Americans – This is a bad time for me and the city of New York. The Mets just got done raping my Cubbies and I am still quite bitter. Daniel Murphy is a fucking Jew. HC Davos Dynamo – Still on my “do-not-draft” list. You can thank Kendrick for that. You think I’m playing? Watch me retire. I may or may not be joking. It’s up to you guys to take the chance.

Well here I am guys, back again, this time as the GM of the Oslo Storm. I am very happy for have gotten the job and I hope to be able to keep the team competitive and active. This isn't my first go-round as a sim league GM, but this league is a bit different. There are no finances to keep track of, which is kind of nice I guess. I don't have to worry about going over a salary cap or anything like that. I was also used to always having my own player playing on my team. Now I have to choose between rooting for Oslo and my own guy, which makes it extremely awkward for me because I hate being a "bandwagon fan" so to speak. It will take some getting used to for sure. It has been about 6 years since I last GM'd a team, so while it's good to be back controlling a time I will need some time to get back in the mentality of not just being a player.
