The "Victory Football League" would be an American Football sim league being run on Madden 08 for PC, the last Madden game to be released for PC. Games would be simmed through Twitch streams, which allows for chat while the game is being broadcasted. The main reason why I want to be affiliated with the VHL is so both leagues can work together to generate new members at the VHL, and help the initial member base at the VFL. There was a ton of interest in the USFL, which used the same simming format before the site was 404'd suddenly for reasons unknown. @Molholt @Dangles13 @evrydayimbyfuglien are on board with helping create this league, and we will go on with it no matter if the VHL wants to have anything to do with it or not. I don't know if I'm overstepping my boundaries here, but I'd like to think that a VHL/VFL collaboration would involve some TPE incentives for both leagues. For example, a VHL member who creates a new player at the VFL would start with 35 initial TPE instead of 30 or something like that. Vice versa, a member of the VFL who creates a new player in the VHL would receive 35 initial TPE instead of 30. We could also do this with point tasks, such as writing a media spot worth 6 TPE in the VFL could be carried over and used on their VHL player. I hope this thread can generate a lot of interest and input from people interested in seeing a Madden sim league succeed. I'd really like to use Madden 08 because it's a way better game, but I haven't found a cheap way to get it. I'm not using a torrent either

I would actually be ok with that because of how things at the USFL ended. I have a file ready on Madden 07, just need someone good with graphics to edit the custom art for me. All I'd have to do is download some broadcasting software for Twitch and we'd be rolling.

With the recent mysterious closing of what could have been the best Madden sim league to ever be created, there have been talks of possibly creating a "VFL" Madden sim league that would work alongside the VHL. Obviously nothing other than league ideas have been thrown around, but it is interesting to think of the possibilities. There are a lot of die-hard football sim leaguers who would likely join the VFL, leading them to check out the VHL as well. The point tasks would likely be connected between the two leagues, giving current VHL'ers who have a tough time writing point tasks the opportunity to write about football and still get points for their VHL player. One downside to this idea is that football sims rarely ever last more than a handful of seasons, and running a league on Madden has become increasingly hard as the years have gone by (ie, updating players w/o roster editing tools, finding people who still have copies of the PC game, etc) but the introduction of Twitch-streamed games, as featured by the USFL, have many people around the sim-league community chomping at the bit for another one to start up. These are just fun ideas right now, but it could turn into something real down the line if enough people want to commit to it.

Man, I gotta get these updates in. My team needs me to train, even though I haven't much left to give. My body is sore, my feet are aching, my penis is flacid. I really don't like training, but I'll do it so I don't get fined or benched. I don't know what I'll work on today. Maybe some skating, maybe some strength. Hell, I might even start adding to passing because what the hell, right? If I do my training, I'll get 2 points to add to my 2 unused I have to spend already so that makes 4 TPE. 4 TPE will get me +1 to skating, so I will probably do that. It seems like the right thing to do. The Legion will be proud of me when I finally finish this fan 590 so I can collect my two points and add it to LSP. Speaking of LSP, he really sucks this year compared to last year. I don't like that shit.

I'm ok with being the only moderately active VHLM GM. Our team contends every season and that's all I care about
