  1. I guess you proved me wrong! We gave it our best shot though!
  2. Hoping for some thunder and got a hurricane! Great win guys! Congrats to Bern on a hard fought series. You guys gave us all we could handle.
  3. We like to make things interesting
  4. Wanted to make a list of reasons why I don't submit media spots on here anymore. 1. My player is already a beast. Why mess with something if it isn't broken? 2. It gets hard to think of things to write about each week. There really isn't anything new going on to write about. 3. GM'ing a team probably has something to do with it too. I almost feel more engaged with my team sometimes than my player. 4. It's really only 4 extra points per week. At this stage in my career, 3 of them will go to defense (+1 total) and the other 1 isn't even enough to boost anything a full point. It costs 4 points to increase puck handling and skating, so my ancillary attributes are the only thing getting updated. I just don't think it's that important. 5. I'm pretty much guaranteed to get 18-22 minutes per game anyway unless it goes into overtime, so I'm not really being relied on much in Toronto. If I was a workhorse who was being counted on to put up 26+ minutes per game, I would probably be a little better about getting things like my checking and passing to a higher level. 6. I already have to do so much shit for school and work that the VHL just becomes another thing on my plate that I have to worry about. 7. I think I'm at 150 words, so I'm just going to stop now.
  5. @eaglesfan036 a guy who can't find things to write about for his fan 590. This is actually a brilliant idea. I'll put it in the memory banks for Sunday night when I realize I need to do one.
  6. Both of agent ATW's clients will be participating in the playoffs, meaning a huge opportunity for greatness is ahead. LeAndre St. Pierre is currently tied for 5th in the league in points, despite recording only 24 minutes per game, currently third to last in the league. While this brings up questions about why he isn't being used enough in Toronto, it surely solidifies LeAndre's regular season as one of the best in the league. He should definitely be in the voting for MVP, considering his points per minute is first in the league and he is arguably the best player on the best team in the league. On the other hand, ATW's general manager Dick Richardson in Oslo has his team playing well in the VHLM and just acquired defensemen Titan Kronos for the stretch run. This trade should make Oslo the favorite to win the championship this season and hopefully give Mr. Richardson is first title in Oslo.

  8. I'm sending my S50 1st in exchange for Kronos. Sorry for the mix-up. Evans will edit the OP when he gets a chance. Accepted. @Evans
  9. Must've been tired from all that goal scoring last game
  10. Well that puts me back on track for a 40 goal season!
  11. So LSP doesn't really have much to contribute to his training post this week, other than the fact that real life matters are taking a toll on his ability to get in the gym and gain training points. He is making an effort to at least get 5 training points per week, but that potential 9 that he could be getting is very hard to swallow. Not that it makes an enormous difference, but he could be setting himself apart from the rest of the players around him at the top of the point standings if he was getting a few extra points per week. Hopefully during the off-season he will be able to contribute a little bit more, but as of right now it is just too hard for him to find time to really put the amount of effort in that he wants to. Toronto will be just fine no matter what happens, but it is slightly disappointing to see the potential energy go to waste.
  12. Oslo claims Travis Gowecny
  13. It's been quite a weird season for LSP, as he is now tied for fourth in the league in assists despite his passing rating being in the low 70's. To add to that, his 99 scoring rating doesn't seem to be making an impact as he only has 22 goals to go along with 34 assists. The only thing I can think of is that he is getting shots on net and other players are getting rebound goals and they are forced to give LSP an assist on the play. I really doubt he is making great passes to set up teammates like Max Molholt and Zach Parechkin, who have been racking up the goals all season long. I'm not complaining about getting assists, I just really built LSP to be a prolific goal scorer, not a play maker. The Legion are still in first place and LSP is still in the top 10 in total points, so everything is going great as we pass the middle part of the season. Hopefully he can start to get his goal scoring back on track and get close to his 40 goal benchmark he set at the beginning of the season.
