  1. So after the first wave of sims in S49, the Toronto Legion seem to be the team to beat yet again. This poses the question: should LeAndre St. Pierre and the rest of the Legion players be banned from the VHL? Their dominance is clearly creating a nuisance around the league, with a lot of players getting very angry that they keep getting raped by these guys. "It's not fair at all" one unnamed player declared. "They are just too good and they're making the rest of us look bad. It's really annoying and they should all be banned or sent to the NHL or something." This dominance hasn't been seen in any sport since Ricky Bobby came onto the NASCAR scene about a dozen years ago. In that case, NASCAR acquired the driving services of Formula-One superstar Jean Gerrard. Gerrard got under Bobby's skin and ultimately ended up making Bobby stab himself in the leg with a knife. Could the VHL try this tactic on the Legion? It doesn't seem too farfetched. There may be a deal in the works to get former NHL player Sean Avery to join the Seattle Bears for an undisclosed amount of money. This is purely a rumor at this point, but something along the lines of this transaction may need to happen if the VHL wants to prevent Toronto from winning two cups in a row.
  2. Just call me by my nickname: 3 points.
  3. Auto me. Seemed to work last season
  4. This fan 590 is not going to be as important as my last one was, but it is still worth a read. The reason why it is worth a read is because my hands are typing the words, meaning that the filthiest hands in the league is typing this fan 590. Now I bet some of you are thinking to yourselves right now, "what in the world does that mean?" Well noobs, it is a hockey term that explains how awesome a player's puck handling skills are, not to mention his crafty scoring prowess around the net. And yes, you guessed it, LSP needs to wash his hands more than anyone else in the VHL. Need proof? LSP is on the verge of winning both the VHL championship and the World Cup in the same year. Is this just simply a coincidence? I don't think so. LSP for motherfuckin' President.

  6. Ken Anderson, welcome to Oslo!
  7. Ivars Klajums coming back to tear it up in Oslo one more time!
  8. Oh Canada... Our losing to Europe native land!
  9. I wanted to make a quick decision and you had other offers out so I kind of just talked to the ones who had a contract, team goals, playing time scenario, etc mapped out already. Sorry man.
  10. Thanks to @Banackock @eaglesfan036@YEAH!stlemania And @Toast for pursuing me. Made it a tough decision and one I will remember the next time free agency comes around.
  11. Sorry for the heart attacks, y'all. But I've decided to go for the repeat. At the end of the day, I can try for a points title some other season. Not every year you'll be able to go after a repeat. I can't change the past, it is what it is. Let's get it done.
  12. I've gotta say, oatmeal raisin are my favorite. Some real "brownie points" being had here.
  13. http://www.vhlforum.com/index.php?/topic/30231-the-opening-ceremony/ ^^ Posting the link for an extra 3 uncapped TPE Centers: Severin von Karma – Your typical veteran center, von Karma is a guy everyone would like to have leading their squad in the World Cup. He can do it all out on the ice, especially when it comes to leading the younger players. Thaddeus Humbert – Humbert will pair with von Karma to create one of the best center tandems of all the World Cup teams. He isn’t much of a scorer, but he can give team Europe a ton of minutes and be a physical presence on the ice when they need him to be. Wingers: Wolfgang Strauss – Strauss is the lone veteran on the team Europe roster and will be a huge part in getting the other wingers on the same page. He will also bring a physical presence to the ice like fellow forward Thaddeus Humbert, but can also be an elite scorer. LeAndre St. Pierre – St. Pierre is fresh off of a cup run with the Toronto Legion, meaning he will have the least rest of any other team Europe winger. He will be looking to complete the rare double championship, winning a title in the VHL and bringing home a World Cup to his native country of France. He is a pure scorer who can get to the net with ease and rack up a ton of shots on goal. If used properly, St. Pierre could put team Europe on his back. Shawn Muller – Muller is another physical player for team Europe, giving them a rare combination of both offense and defense out of their forwards. He won’t be relied upon as much for his playmaking on offense, but he can do a little bit of everything and is definitely a big asset for the Europeans. Tyson Kohler – Kohler is your typical offensive forward with amazing skills in skating, puck handling, and scoring. Defenses will need to mark Kohler at all times to keep him off the scoreboard. Defense: Phil Hamilton – Might as well just call him “Mr. 99.” Phil Hamilton is clearly the most talented player on team Europe and arguably the best defensemen in the entire World Cup. He’s even got all of his siblings on the team with him for added motivation. Jeff Hamilton – Jeff isn’t as good as his brother Phil, but will still be a huge part of team Europe and their quest for the World Cup. Maybe outplaying Phil will be one of his goals during the tournament. David Hamilton – David is more of a role player for team Europe and will look to his other two brothers for moral support and advice in times of struggle. World B. Free – The only European defensemen not named Hamilton, Free will bring a unique last name and a unique playing style to the defensive crew.
  14. It sounded like a troll job to me. I'm bitter right now when it comes to LSP so excuse me if I take everything personally
  15. Dude, why are you being a dick about this? I was dead last in the league in total minutes played the last time I checked about 60 games into the season. Being in the top 5 in points a majority of the season is unreal considering how much more everyone else played. And worst of all, I got shafted for awards because people don't look at points per minute. It's bullshit.
  16. I finally have a reason to write a fan 590 that people might read! This free agency deal has gotten me way more excited in the VHL than I have been the past couple of weeks. I've just finished my last college semester and been on the quest for a full-time job, as well as celebrating the accomplishment. That had put my VHL interest at an all-time low, as I've been out of the house and off the computer for quite some time. Multiple teams have sent me PM's and expressed their interest in me, which is greatly appreciated. However, I can only play for one team. Obviously the Legion are still a top choice for me. They believed in me three seasons ago when they selected me in the first round, and I grinded through the rebuilding years to finally win a cup. Who would want to leave that? On the other hand, I do think that I have the ability to be a first-line player and I want to show that off. Without further ado, I'd like to narrow my choices down to a handful of teams (in no specific order). Seattle - @Banackock I love the northwest region of the United States, and I really think the world is better with a good professional hockey team in Seattle. Even if that means resorting to a sim league. Riga - @Toast You've got me very interested in being the centerpiece of the Reign for years to come. Even though we probably won't compete this season, it would be cool to be face of a franchise. New York - @YEAH!stlemania A great locker room atmosphere is always hard to pass up. I know most of the guys on the team and we will definitely compete. It's tempting. Toronto - @Molholt Potentially repeating as champions would be hard to move away from. I know what I'm getting here and love the people in the locker room. I don't know if it's time for a change or not. Stay tuned for the final decision later today!
  17. Also, sorry I haven't been able to respond to some of the PM's. I have my favorites, but haven't ruled out signing with anyone yet.
