Welcome to the big leagues Leaf fans. Us Oiler fans have seen a truly high level of garbage hockey for a long, long time now. You have a long way to go before you can lose like the Oilers can. I made it to the Reilly goal tonight, which is a lot longer than normal. Not sure if I'll watch a single Oilers game again this season.

Have you ever hitched a ride with a vending machine repairman? It's always an interesting trip, filled with high quality adventure stories and a beautiful mixture of man-machine interation. I mean, really? The guy has a daughter named Easter that was born on a Tuesday. You can't make this stuff up. Basically what I mean is that the career of AIM-11 has not been everything the artificial intelligence industry had been hoping for. Now, granted, AIM-11 did just go in your face beast-mode all over the VHLM in the playoffs, but there are many scouts who are questioning whether that type of play is going to translate into much of an VHL career. The extra season of growth in the Minor League did not have quite the intended consequences, and while there was a little bit of advancement in the game of the robotic centerman, there was less than hoped for. A new dawn is approaching as the very first artificially intelligent VHL player will play its first few games in the big leagues for Davos. Due to some excellent depth on the team he will not be expected to play a first line role, but will provide secondary scoring as well as some important faceoff wins. 50 points in 45 games in the lockout season and 80 points in 75 games last season. This year he has been obviously injured and is still playing like a 55-60 point player. The question is not if he can be a 60-70 point guy - he's already shown that that's easily within his reach. The question is can he become a regular 80-90 point player. He has warts to his game defensively, but I'm fairly convinced that the Oilers need a massive upgrade on their blueline and you would see a huge turnaround in how everyone on the roster does. He also plays a style of gane that leads to injuries, so that's going to hold him back from big time points.

Life has been insane with work. Nice to see some success in the VHLM, and now it's time to try and grind my way to an okay VHL player.

Lord of the Rings are some of my favorite movies of all time. The Hobbit Part 1 was meh, part 2 was brutal and part 3 I won't bother watching until I have time on a Friday night and can watch it for free from home. So sad what he did to it, particularly when the LoTR were so amazing.
