  1. Awesome!
  2. Miami Marauder Press Conference- Week of March 30, 2005 1. March Madness is here, and people are crazy to get their brackets right. Are you participating? If so, how is it going? 2. Basketball is one of those sports I rarely watch until March Madness and never watch a pro game. Do you? 3. Were ¼ through the season and it’s been tough for Miami with the re-build in effect. Is your player performing well for you? 4. What is your least favorite way to earn TPE? 5. Alex Ovechkin is just 7 goals away from The Great One’s goal record. Are you sad to see Wayne lose the record? or Happy a modern player has it? 6. Riddle: Two in a corner, one in a room, zero in a house, but one in a shelter. What am I?
  3. @Smarch
  4. Beauty!!!
  5. I am a total noob at Graphics! They will hopefully get better. @ScottyP
  6. Always love the VHL lore articles. Thanks !
  7. The season has FINALLY started and even though my Vancouver Wolves are off to a slow start I am just excited to finally see box scores again. The start of the season always has some fun stuff to do like VHLFL and Super Coach and even thought my fantasy draft took a bit, I am pretty stoked about my club. I was in the middle of the lineup to draft but I was able to get some beauties in this order: D- Callum Gary Yannick Janser @Daniel Janser D-Bollos de Trueno @Thunder F-Riley Martin @Smarch F-Axle Gunner @Steve G- Soju @Frank F- Severus Targaryen @Banackock Pretty excited to see these animals lead me to 6 TPE this season. VANCOUVER WOLVES UPDATE: The Wolves always seem to start slow, and this season was no different. 3 straight losses before finally winning two-both wins shutouts. A quick trade as well adding Elf Shoes @ELF_SH0ES and Matthew Highmore @NineIQ which will help immensely. Scoring seems to be down for the offensively gifted club with only 22 goals on the season. There is some good news for the Wolves though. The Great One- Wayne Gretzky @MubbleFubbles has been tearing it up with 11 points (6 goals) and line mate, Pierre Marc Bouchard @Gaikoku-hito is 10 points in 8 games. The Wolves need some depth scoring and for team captain, Logan Ninefingers to pick up his game a bit, but the season is still early. Team Stats: Wayne Gretzky- 6g 5a 11 pts PMB- 5g 5a 10pts Riley Martin- 3g 7a 10 pts Bollos de Trueno 1g 8a 9pts TORONTO CRUSHING THE LEAGUE When I was doing my predictions, I looked through the clubs I must have been snoozing cuz I didn’t look at Toronto very well. In a city that is the epicenter of the hockey in the world this club has come out firing. Led by their goalie, Dalkr Vidarsson @KaleebtheMighty who is 7-0-1 with a shutout. In his 7th season now, Dalkr has over 200 career wins, 30 shutouts, and a Scotty Campbell and Aidan Shaw trophy to his name. Led in points by defenseman Andrew Skilton @ace_five_ with 3 goals and 13 assists they also have some meat eaters in Spanish Moon Moth @Renomitsu, Raimo Tuominen @SlapshotLegion, and an absolute killer in Toby Kadachi @ROOKIE745 who had over 400 hits last season in Chicago. BAZOOKA JOE SHAME POST Now I recruited my friend @ScottyP and he is on his second player, defenseman Bazooka Joe. He currently plays for the Philly Reapers in the VHLM and is having a decent season. When he was drafted 10 overall in S98 by the Malmo Nighthawks I spoke with his new GM, @LucyXpher. Now @LucyXpher wants to win and taking a pick like @ScottyP comes with risks. A good TPE earner but inconsistent I made a promise to @LucyXpherto shame him for updates so here is my league post doing just that. He came out decent to start the season but has not updated since March 9th. So today he gets a shoutout on here as well as personal text message that is too inappropriate to share. So please Bazooka Joe, keep earning so that @Thunder and I can pummel your face when you get to Malmo .
  8. This week’s Miami Marauder player spotlight is Assistant Captain, Ryan Mantzz #9. Mantzz @Rkhockey9 is a returning member to Miami after a short stint last season. Even though the youngster only has 42 career minor league games, he is a true leader and breath of fresh air to the re-building franchise. The #6 overall pick in the S98 draft to New York the kid possesses good hands, a fast skater, and a true 200-foot player. 3 goals and 3 assists in 8 games this season so far and tied for team lead with 14 blocked shots, showing that even though Miami is struggling he will do what it takes for the team. He is also one of two Miami players that is even on +/-. Always up-beat in the locker room the gifted winger I have no doubt that he will have a long and storied career in the VHL. Until then he will be lighting it up in South Beach.
  9. Miami Marauder Press Conference – Week of March 23rd, 2025 1. The season has begun (finally). Has you player been playing well so far? 2. What superpower would you rather have? Invisibility or extreme strength? 3. St. Patrick’s Day is coming up. Any plans? 4. Season started and we just got our first win. Did you celebrate? 5. Are you a dog person or cat person? I’m dogs 6. Does your player have any pre-game superstitions? @Thunder @Megaman @BlueFalcon5433
  10. bad ass graphic! Jortikka a beast !! Gonna lead my Super Coach team to a massive TPE victory
  11. The season is almost upon us and this week’s Miami Marauder spotlight is on none other than Patrick Finnegan @JB123. The most recent addition to the Marauders comes an Irish center man whose owner has much agency in the VHL. An owner who not only had created great players but has been a management leader in the league as well. @JB123 has had 2 previous players in the VHL with 3 championships between them. A proven VHL leader the Marauders will look to lean on his experience as they try to compete for a coveted playoff spot. Finnegan will be asked to help a talented group of veteran forwards of Danny Ross @Spartakiller2, Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9, and Andreas Andreasen @Rjdixon01, In addition to newcomers, Viener Schnitzel @Spaz and Marcus Grey @BlueFalcon5433. The Marauders take the ice on Wednesday and are packed with a talented group up front and led by franchise defenseman, Dog Jagr @koty_k in the back end. Best of luck Marauders!
  12. The off-season is almost finally over, and we can soon get back to some regular season action. We had some good events lately to include the VHLM/VHL awards ceremonies that I thought were some of the best ever. We also had two players, and a builder inducted to the Hall of Fame which I thought was pretty cool and well deserved. Hall of Fame inductees: Every season the Hall of Fame inductees come out and I find it to be one of the coolest posts of the year. We see some absolute legends in this game and it has to be hard to narrow it down with so many high earning players. This season however the two choices couldn’t be more spot on. Jacob Stone- D (Malmo) @scoop- this dude was an absolute menace and a career Nighthawk. His best season statistically was his last with 106 points. A career point per game player he won about every award you can think of but the Continental Cup. I am always partial to defenseman as that was the position I played growing up and the position of my first player in the VHL. Next was forward Nico Pearce @Spartan . The 10th overall pick in S81- the exact season I joined the VHL. A beast of a scorer, Pearce scored 774 points in 650 games. I did get the chance to play with Nico in Vancouver and we came just short of winning a Continental Cup in S89. His Hall of Fame induction is well deserved. Congrats to both these players!!! VHLM DRAFT The VHLM draft came with a flurry and It was a no brainer that Tina Hughes @tinafrombobsburgers went #1 to Mexico City. The highest TPE player in the draft and an extremely great locker room presence he will do great things for @vatt in Mexico. The true shock of the draft was Ryan Mantzz @Rkhockey9 falling to Miami at #11. I mean he’s second highest in TPE at the time of the draft and an absolute earner and gem for the league. Can’t imagine why GMs passed on him and they better be ready as Mantzz is coming for payback. Miami is happy to snag such a beauty. Great locker room guy and a player we are going to see special things from during his VHLM and VHL career. BAZOOKA JOE @ScottyP Well..Well….well. It is a rare pleasure when @Thunder and I get to bag on our dear friend @ScottyP. A first round draft pick for Malmo the defenseman, Bazooka Joe could be considered a “questionable pick.” On paper it looks like Bazooka had a great season last year in Philly with 15g 35a. @LucyXpher took a chance on BJ as he has spurts of greatness followed by bouts of disappointment (in mine and @Thunder eyes anyway). I had a quick chat with @LucyXpher and I promised to keep @ScottyP motivated to earn so that he can achieve the greatness we all hope for him. That being said @Thunder and I will be hounding him all season to make sure his TPE earning is up to Malmo standards! Be ready @ScottyP
  13. Miami Marauder Press Conference- Week of March 16, 2025 1. The season starts Wednesday (finally). Has this off-season seemed especially long to you? 2. The NHL trade deadline came and went. Did your team improve at all with the trades? 3. Speaking of NHL trades, what was the biggest surprise trade in your opinion? 4. The VHL/VHLM awards came and went. Did you watch the presentation and what did you think of the presentation this year? I thought Lucy did an awesome job. 5. 2 players were inducted to the VHL Hall of Fame this off-season with Nico Pearce and Jacob Stone being added. Do you have aspirations for your player or future player to try and achieve a Hall of Fame career? 6. Would you like to see a VHLM All-Star game? @Thunder
