1. Oslo finished last in the E last season, but we’re on the rebound. How many positions will we gain in the standings this season?

-I believe we can push for a .500 season or even better. We just have to be much more disciplined on defense if we are going to make a difference.

 

2. Are you planning to focus your stats anywhere specific this season?

-Since defense is our weak point, I would love to see much more takeaways, hits, blocked shots, and a higher PK% all together. If our defense performs, our offense can.

 

3. Who do you think might make a good rival for Oslo this season?

-The Vikings for sure. Each game so far against them have been battles.

 

4. The LR found out I like disc golf, what’s a hobby you have outside of hockey?

-I absolutely love volleyball, played for my college team!

 

5. What’s the largest amount of money you’ve ever found? How’d you find it?

-Lol, like $20. I believe I was at a movie theater and it was on the ground while I was walking out.

 

6. There is a big pile of candy at my house, and there might be one at yours, too. What types of candy do you like best? A particular brand? Chocolate, caramel, fruit, sour, or something totally different?

-Reese's Peanut Butter cups and only Reese's Peanut Butter cups. Next question.

1. It was a long series, and we just came up short at the last opportunity.

2. I think we had some unfortunate plays go against us in-game and it paid the price of a loss.

3. As an alumni of Houston, I believe they're going to go all the way for the cup.

4. Yes! I really am. Hopefully I can participate.

5. I believe the Vancouver Wolves will go all-the-way.

6. I have to say, us knocking off the previous champion was pretty great!

7. I've been drafted already.

1. Round 1 is over! We swept the back to back Champs! How are you feeling about that sweep?

2. There will be a new cup champion because of us! Would you say this is going to give us momentum going into round 2?

4. Do you think being the number 1 team going into playoffs is a curse?

5. How are you staying conditioned with this playoff run?

7. Work has been absolutely crazy for me lately. How is work for you?

8. How do you find your zen / peace? I usually do a calming breath. Highly recommend it!

1. It feels great! It was a team effort. On to the next round!

2. It's anyone's game now. I think it will bring us great momentum into the next round.

3. Its going to be a long hard-fighting series. I believe we can do it.

4. There's definitely a lot of pressure as a team going in as the 1 seed, but this team is built to win it all.

5. Ice baths and lots of water! Have to stay hydrated.

6. If its not broke...don't fix it! Fuhr has been on fire. Freeze is a great goalie as well.

7. VERY busy. Just started an internship.

8. Watching a movie and relaxing on the couch. Nothing better.

I mean why not? He's already got 3! 100% one of the top goalies in the Victory Hockey League Minors.

5. (Hey that's me!) It has been a long season this year of progression and heard work. Making my debut last year was nerve wracking and it took me a while to find my feet. This season though, it has been nothing but success and I hope I continue this momentum throughout the season. I will do whatever it takes to take home a championship to Mexico City!

6. The Ottawa Lynx have an excellent organization. They are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the Victory Hockey League Minors. If in the event we had to play them in the playoffs, I think it would be an absolute war that goes the distance to 7 games. Having our squads clash, especially in the first round, would be one of the best matchups in the playoffs. At the end of the day, one team is going to win, and there is much respect to give to both organizations. 

7. I want to hopefully crack a roster spot in the VHLE and get to know my fellow players more. I believe it's my time to move up after this season.

1. Yes. Happy Trade Deadline Week! It has been a quite interesting week as some trades were flying around the league. Off the top of my head, I wasn't exactly sure if there were any trades that I wish were made. 8. These questions are really, really hard to come up with after you've done like, 5 of these. But at 10, it gets kinda absurd and really you're just trying to push through to the next week so that you don't look bad to your boss. *sigh* But here we are I guess, still having difficulty coming up with questions and venting about it in a question that most people are probably just gonna answer 'k' to. At the end of the day though, this is what I signed up for and it's fun to do. It isn't exactly the highlight of my day to sit down and get stumped for 45 minutes on 8 dumb questions, but it gets the brain going. In fact, usually I'll do my homework from uni right after this because I start going on these long tangents that I can then just start using for my school work so it's really nice. Also the weather has been like, super wild here. It snowed for like 2 days straight and now it's 65 degrees (f) and sunny. Crazy. Anywho, uh....you got a favorite show or something?

-We didn't come out with the result we wanted, but it was one hell of a fight. Hats off to the Lynx and their organization.

-I thought my player was much more involved during the playoffs and made a big impact. He was just short of a cup!

1. Consistency. We have been player hard and with a purpose which has led us to sweeping

2. There has been plenty of moments my player has contributed, but he can do more. I'd say he is average right now.

3. Stick to our game. If we are playing under our style and terms, we will come out victorious.

4. Anders Lee. Not only am I huge Islanders fan, but his play is the exact style I'd want my player to play; Big net-front presence, scores those gritty goals and plays tough. And I'd hope my players has the quads the size of Ander's.

5. I am a big volleyball guy. Currently playing Division III NCAA Volleyball for my school.

6. Definitely pork. I practically live off of chicken. Steak is simply to die for!

1. Christmas was well! Got to see some family snd got some nice gifts.

2. Alex is going to run away with this award. He is a well-rounded player.

3. Having him in net makes everything upfront so much easier for us, we can play out game with him between the pipes.

4. Not entirely sure. I believe we have a pretty good squad here right now.

5. To hopefully win the VHLM Championship.

6. Eat better and workout more. I play college volleyball in real life and hope to win our conference championship this year and hopefully get a bid for the NCAA Tournament.

1. I truly believe so, this is a strong team with some serious depth.

2. Juha is a great goalie and he will be a big asset to Houston and they will only make them better. 

3. Game 99 against Halifax showed the VHLM how dangerous we can be at our best. Hopefully we can have more games like that.

4. The Rome Gladiators branding and culture makes it seem like a great place to play.

5. Either scoring or faceoffs. being a center I want to try to be the best possible at faceoffs to provide for the team and give our boys a chance to make a play with the puck.

6. It's going to be a battle, no question. I think the game is going to need extra time, but we will come out victorious.

1. Our teams success stems from our strong defense. It is our strongest attribute as a team.

2. The Las Vegas Aces will be a competitive team all season. Our lineup is very well-rounded.

3. Alex TheGreat, has been great (No pun intended). He has been and continues to be a contributor day in and day out.

4. For my players first season, I feel he has been playing decent for the role he was given. Matt Rooster has been a strong depth player and has found a way to contribute doing the little things to get his team on the scoreboard while he himself doesn't exactly get on the scoresheet each night.

5. An absolute blast. My teammates and management have been very friendly and welcoming. I am very appreciate of getting a chance to play in this league!

6. As of right now, I think all of management have been doing a stellar job being resourceful and communicative.
