After further review, it appears so. Inside a month since their last update, but I assume the activity cutoff is before then? I also got a bit more context about why the E exists and the problem it was created to solve. I think at this point I’m just ready to put down my torch and pitchfork about it and accept that it’s designed in a way that’s less interesting to me than the VHL. I’d imagine my opinion would be much different if I were a clicker.

So my team could be vastly better by calling up players which are sitting the bench on a different league? That hurts to hear.

Oh, it's because I'm subscribed to the subforum. I didn't know it was possible to get 0 TPE from fantasy. Fuck.

Ctots Ctalks - VHL 11: Mostly Answering Questions
ctots replied to ctots's topic in Archived Podcasts
Next time I'm there I'll try to take a picture! tbh most times I don't even look at box scores unless it's to gas up the Oslo players. Thanks, I stole it. Deal. That's contractually binding. -
um. I got a ping for this, but my name isn't in the post. I'm like 99% sure I submitted predictions for week 4. Could I trouble you to check that out for me, please?
-
That's a great question that I don't think I know the answer to. Is Super Rugby a valid answer? The Brumbies, Waratahs, Crusaders, and the rest of the gang. I'm so out of the loop.
-
Very sorry to hear you went through covid in your circumstances, that's a whole lot of anxiety, I'm sure. But you're on the mend at least, right? That's encouraging. Wishing the very best to you, your fiancee, and the incoming BabyBerocka! Supercoach is something I'd be into doing if it's going to be available again. Oh and also I'm working through your backlog of podcasts and you mentioned a rugby league - is that still a thing? I watched a season in quarantine and I've been lowkey interested in the sport ever since, but it's like how I imagine hockey in Oz - not much to see locally. I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that podcasts are better for building relationships than media spots. Doing podcasts is like cruise control for coolness.

If I were a gambler, I'd say the theme week TPE will be distributed in a way other than theme week. I guess creating at TDL would just be absurdly advantageous if you could also benefit from theme week TPE, which is meant to happen before the TDL. I'm curious to see how it shakes out either way though.

https://anchor.fm/ctots/episodes/VHL-12---Bread-and-Butter-e1il6mm Happy Tuesday, hockey nerds! Edit: does the embed link from anchor work here? let's find out: update: it doesn't

At the top of the window, you can click the crescent moon to switch from light mode to dark mode, if you haven't already done that. And then the paintbrush just to the right of that will let you change the color of the UI! Pretty neat stuff. We're moving to a new house and one of the things we've been looking at lately is bird feeders because there are a lot more windows. Super excited about it. There's a honeysuckle in our (current) back yard which attracts hummingbirds, but they're much more difficult to spot among the foliage. Those are great hydration numbers! Poor coffee numbers though, you'll have to work on bumping those up! haha Salmon on the grill seems like something that would be difficult to get right but taste amazing. Maybe it's not as difficult as I imagine. Blues fans are a lot of fun, it's hard to root against them. Unless we're playing them. You know, this is really the first time I've considered how truly disgusting that is. That's the spirit! Give me hockey or give me death! (metaphorically, please) Beach bum, eh? That's a good balance to the cold of the rink. History museums are more interesting to me too I think, but the art museum does have a lot of opportunities to point out butts in paintings, which is just the height of comedy for me.

5/16/22 Press Conference Questions Have you changed the color of your VHL UI? What color is it? I did neon green for a while but it kinda made my eyes bleed, so now it’s kind of middle grey. What kind of bird have you seen most recently? Are you staying hydrated? Bonus quest: drink some water or whatever. Grilling season is here! What’s the best food to cook outdoors? We’re in round 2 of the NHL playoffs now - who do you think will advance? Your player gets tangled up in some Underworld type stuff, and they have to choose: werewolf or vampire? Which would they pick? Due to strange patent laws, hockey is made illegal. Does your player change sports? If so, what do they play? If not, what are they doing with their time? Skates are the best type of footwear, but what type of shoe do you like when you’re off the ice? Would you rather go to an art museum or a history museum?

https://anchor.fm/ctots/episodes/VHL-11---Mostly-Answering-Questions-e1igibf Answering questions from @Thunderand @Shindigs - thanks again guys! *Created for people who are cool with profanity* (I think there might just be a single instance of foul language in this episode. Scavenger hunt!) Happy Monday, friends! If you want me to answer your questions on a future episode, the link is in my sig. There’s no backlog! If you want to be a guest in a future episode, let me know! I’d be happy to talk to anyone at all - rookies, boomers, clickers, max earners, you’re all invited. Mentions: @JB123 @Berocka @JardyB10 @samx @fishy and a ghost mention for @Tate after the fact to include you in the list of podcasters with content that makes me feel like we’re friends (or however I worded it at the time.)

Winning the cup is what we're all here for, I'm so glad you got to see success in the M! Hopefully much more of that energy for the rest of your career, too! I should be more of a hat person. Like a baseball cap, I assume, or are you rocking a fancy fedora? Hell yes! Tea fans unite!

Impressive turnaround here. You were recording in the first half of the second period and I just finished listening at 2nd intermission! Enjoy the rest of the game!

MubbleFubbles Radio Ep. 12 - Rampant Cheating In The VHL
ctots replied to MubbleFubbles's topic in VHL.com Radio
The league owes you a tremendous debt of gratitude for standing by ever-ready to respond to the alarm. You’re the guardian of the sanctity of the league, and we thank you for it. Excellent episode! -
A&W got a way bigger reaction than the woman did, and I like it that way. I really need to keep a closer eye on the VHLM, you and sam make it sound so exciting. I respect the effort it must take, pitching waivers is a big task to keep up on in addition to all of the standard team management tasks as well. Really enjoying the timeline of the NHL playoffs happening as we approach the VHL playoffs, it’s hockey hype all day every day right now. Very nice ‘sode.

This was the most tense and chaotic energy that I've heard in a podcast in a while. Listening to Jardy drive through a construction site while his laptop is perched precariously in a work vehicle for recording purposes seems like it should be in the top 10 list of the worst ways to record a podcast. I'll assume he's not a corpse on the roadside because he's sent a discord message this afternoon. You did it though! I gave the very nice react because it was mentioned. And because of the actor with the many various careers. Johnathan Transgressions, I think his name is. Also: congrats on being done with finals, that's neat! Way to go!

Hello VHL! I’m ctots, the AGM for the Oslo Storm, and I’m going to take this time to highlight the incredible talents of our roster. Given our position in the standings, those who aren’t familiar with the team might be totally unaware of the small core of incredible players that Oslo has on the roster. Rest assured, while the greater VHL community might not be aware of their skills, the entire country of Norway is fanatical about these up and coming superstars. @Thunder - Jake Thunder. The team’s points leader is our only defenseman worth writing home about, and he’s having an incredible season. After 42 games, Thunder is leading the team in points, with a massive 50! He’s found the net himself 14 times (10 of those coming on the power play), and he’s an absolute assist machine, racking up 36 thus far. Jake isn’t just an offensive threat, he has good defensive instincts, too. Thunder has blocked an incredible 126 shots to provide a first line of defense in front of the blue paint. @Crstats23 - Pete Mitchell. Ranking the highest in points among our forwards is none other than superstar left winger Pete Mitchell. Mitchell is the team’s most potent scoring threat, and he’s shown that 20 times this season. Of those twenty, eight goals came on the power play. Mitchell has had the honor of sending opponents packing twice this season with game winning goals. Pete has taken 289 shots, which means he’s shooting around 7% right now! Not bad, Mitchell! Ever the unselfish teammate, Mitchell has provided 23 assists this season, bringing him to 43 points over the 42 games played thus far - Oslo will take as many point-per-game forwards as we can find! @hcrooster96 - Matt Rooster. Of the two centers that Oslo has on the roster, Matt Rooster has shown that he’s the more offensively minded choice. Rooster’s 7 goals combine with his 26 assists for a total of 33 points! Rooster is a crowd favorite for his pristine reputation - Matt has taken a mere 17 penalty minutes this season. His teammates appreciate that too, killing penalties is a big challenge, especially with a short talent pool on the blue line. @Ledge - Cobalt Burns. When the play calls for an aggressive, physical forechecking winger, Cobalt Burns is the perfect player to answer that call. Burns leads the team in hits by a wide margin, currently sitting at 124 at this point in the season. In terms of productivity, Burns is no slouch, either. The young left wing forward has lit the lamp 11 times so far, and has fed teammates 16 juicy apples, good for a very respectable 27 points. Cobalt isn’t afraid to throw the body in all regards: he’s blocked 34 shots and serves as the team’s enforcer, too. @dpowers49 - Dylan Powers. Unfortunately for the team, this season is the last in Powers’ short career in professional hockey. He’s certainly making the best of it though - this center has 13 goals and 25 points total on the season as of the 44 game mark. (Note: yes, this media spot took long enough that sims happened while I was writing. No, I’m not fixing it.) @bRaidsz - Zen Raider. A recent addition to the team, Zen Raider is already making a strong positive impact on the team. Raider’s first goal with the Storm was a game winner! In addition, Raider has 3 assists in only six games played. Zen is doing the little things that make a difference, too: they’re averaging 2 hits and 1 shot blocked per game. @InstantRockstar - Augustus Kennedy. Without Kennedy minding the net, Oslo would be incalculably worse as a team overall. After 39 games in the crease, Kennedy has an incredible 0.938 save percentage! The young netminder could use a bit of extra support to truly shine - even with stellar save numbers, Augustus is just shy of an even winning record at 14-15-7. The Storm can play confidently in front of Kennedy, which is absolutely essential to finding success. There you have it, hockey fans! This team has been playing with heart and really makes Norway proud.

I’m going to get to all the others in my next podcast, but as a preview, I do have real actual opinions on the elk vs venison debate!
-
That’s the sort of thing I don’t even think about as an elite 6’2” string bean. You’re right. I should try to sell or donate them to folks who could use them. @Thundermight want a few. Well shit! Too late now, I’ll have to make up for it ASAP. I need to figure out how recording discord and stuff works.
-
I’m having fun with the team as it is now, winning more often would be icing on the cake! That’s wild, I didn’t know that! Really proves the power of being active and contributing meaningful stuff. Hmm, maybe I should rethink my approach! The courses tend to be about a third the distance, so you can easily squeeze 18 holes into 2 hours or less, and discs cost under $20 USD typically. Try it out! Thanks! I think I’m cheating by calling the long and short podcasts both by the same title, but it’s too late to go back now.

Edit: there is profanity in this, fyi https://anchor.fm/ctots/episodes/VHL-10---Segments-Maybe-e1ia74k Episode 10, that’s a milestone. Things I talk about: changing podcast formats, Oslo and Bratislava, how to get an AGM job (as if the 4 people listening don’t already have league jobs), and a question from @Thunder. Happy Monday, gang!

Up and at ‘em! What a good choice! I don’t think most of the kids around here will recognize that one!
