  2. Mississauga, ONT. After running through the VHLM with a record of 62-10, the Mississauga Hounds prepare to start playoffs and their Founder's Cup Run. Lead in points by Gus Nasherov and Guy Lambert, they have Luke Spinelli in net, they are the clear-cut favorite to win the championship title. They have two top VHL Draft eligable players in Hard Markinson and Tynan Sylvester, Markinson who has been a dominant physical force on the back end. The Hounds have been dominant on both sides of the puck and come into the playoffs red hot. Mississauga lines up against the Houston Bulls, last year's dominant team. The season record favoured Mississauga; as they won the series 4-1. While this is what they are aiming for in the post-season match up, there is the little shimmer of doubt that could be in their mind's as Houston delivered one of only ten losses on the year. Reports caught to Markinson on the playoff series and the upcoming draft: Interviewer: Are you prepared for the Houston Bulls in round one of the VHLM PLayoffs? Hard Markinson: Yes. We have been preparing all season for this. This is what we play for, this is what we train for. This is cup or bust for us. Interviewer: Have you been paying attention to the VHL season, and watching who missed playoffs, as you will likely be selected with one of the lottery picks? Hard Markinson: I am completely focused on the Houston Bulls, and making sure I'm ready out of the gate. That is all that is on any of our minds in our locker room; we want to win. The VHLM Playoffs start off on Monday, and all fans and scouts alike are ready and waiting!
  3. MISSISSAUGA HOUNDS PRESS CONFERENCE 1) We've clinched 1st overall in the VHLM ... how's it feel to officially be a 1st place team? 2) Which of your teammates would you say has improved the most over the course of the season? 3) Although we've clinched 1st place, we have 5 games left to play. Will your approach be any different for the rest of the season? 4) If you could play in any city that doesn't currently have a VHL or VHLM team, where would you play? 5) What team has your favourite logo in the VHL / VHLM? 6) What's your favourite movie of all time? 1. Feels great. This is what we knew we could do, and now we really need to push forward and get that ultimate goal. 2. Nasherove went from a 19 point season to 95 points this year. He had a huge leap and proved he is the real deal. 3. Go hard every game. 4. I'd love to play close to home. East coast of the USA. 5. I like Houston and Miami in VHLM in terms of technicals. I like Phoenic and DC as well. Vancouver has always been a cool simplistic concept. 6. Groundhog Day, Happy Gilmour, Goodfellas... I dunno too many classics.
  4. Hard Markinson.. I'll do an interview

  6. Love the members tag tbh.
  7. 1) We're 32-3, 10 points up on the rest of the VHLM. Are we going to hold onto that and remain the #1 seed? For sure. We are too strong, too deep, and have too much of a lead not to finish in 1st. 2) What do we need to do as a team to hoist the Founders Cup at season's end? Keep it going, stay consistent. We have a lot of guys who should hit the 250 TPE Cap, if that happens, there's nothing more that we can do. 3) Name 1 thing you're happy with about your performance this year and 1 you think needs work. I'm happy about my physicality. My hit total and defensive performance has been really good. I'd like to lower the amount of PIM I take, but I think that is just part of having high checking. 4) What teams have surprised you the most this season? I think our team has been most surprising even to me. I mean I knew we would be good, but we have been nearly perfect which is saying something. 5) Do you follow any other sports besides hockey and which ones? I follow Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Golf.. 6) What's your favourite kind of pizza? Big fan of the margharita pizza
  8. I'm a first gen at heart
  9. What is @diamond_acedecided to go with the top ranked power forward center, Benny Graves? Graves' career could have been completely different. The Phantoms might have built their first roster differently. Instead they selected a defense-woman who ended hup having an incredible, yet different career than Benny. Could that have made Prague more successful? Could that had given DC the opportunity to select Cinnamon Block and have a different leadership role through their rebuilding phase. The long-time DC Dragons Captain's fate could have been altered with one decision made by Jason Glasser. Behind the graphic: In this graphic piece I reconstructed the sig I made for Benny in his final year in DC. I'm sure most graphics people might recognize that to do that jersey change I literally had to go back and alter the bottom layer. I also had to manipulate each yellow and red layer into the Prague Blue and Purple. In addition to this the overall finishing layers all had to be re-created. I actually like the way the Prague colours look, and I think I would have had fun with Benny on that team. It's probably just typical cliche crap to say that things worked out for the best. There were times early on where I really wondered what it would have been like to have been selected in Prague. In the end, I grew to really love DC. The members that Eno and his crew put together were really good, and we had a lot of fun and successful seasons. Very cool theme week as we get to explore "What could have been". I'm sure it would have been great playing with guys like @Doomsday and @Seabass too.
  10. Not quite GOAT level? Higgy top dog. He’s better served as a chel streamer 2 months of the year than being here.
  11. I just needed to pump out a sig... I don't even know what this ended up being....
  12. Mississauge, Ont. The S77 VHLM season has been dominated by one team, the Mississauga Hounds. Led by GM @Zetterbergthey have been on top of the standings all season, and currently holds a record of 39-3-2. They have been a force all year long, but have their eye on a Founder's Cup. Their biggest fear is to fall like the S76 Houston Bulls, who also had a dominating regular season, only to lose to the Mexico City Kings in the finals. The difference between the two is that there is not really a huge threat to the Hounds, as the Kings were a hot team going into playoffs. "We have been on fire all year, and we all have positive vibes going forward. We all have one another's back every game. We know our roles, and we are going to do whatever it takes to win every night. We have had high scoring, loose, fast paced hockey nights, and we've also had tight defensive battles. We have proven that we can play in any style and still come out on top," said top prospect Hard Markinson of the Mississauga Hounds. Markinson was on the Mexico City Kings last year when they won their championship and the currect assistant captain knows what it takes to win. He is projected to be a Top 3 pick in this year's draft and many scounts have been out to watch him in the VHLM. The Hounds lead the league in goal differential with a staggering +118. Their shots for are league leading, and shots against are nearly at the top as well. All of the stats have shown that this team is very dominant and very deep. They are getting production through their lineup as seven members of the team are above a point per game. They have two goalies that have been lights out, but Luke Spinelli has been exceptional with 35 wins, 1.89 GAA, and Save percentage of .915. The Hounds feel as if it is their season to lose. The need to keep their foot on the pedal, and keep pushing forward as they try to obtain the Founder's Cup.

  18. 1. I think we are built like a powerhouse team. We should be on top of the league at the end of the year, which will give us optimal seeding for Playoffs. I think Finals is a pretty realistic expectation, and we should be the favorites entering the final series. 2. I think so. I was a fourth overall pick; I'm an active locker room presence, and I've been a max earner my whole career. Doing everything I can for the team. 3. Luke Spinelli has been lights out for us. Nasherov has been a killer as well. 4. I think it adds another piece to an already deep and heavy team. 5. Working out and eating copious amounts of protein. 6. Chicken Parm
  19. really really really nice
  20. Claim 4/4
  21. Review: There are some cool things in here that I like. Right off the hop I love the text. The stroke with the offset text is really cool with the texture mapped over it. It's actually really strong. Obviously the overall size makes for kinda an awkward positioning of everything. There's a lot of unused area at the top that probably could be cropped out. The BG is decent you can tell you used multiple textures and used some green colouring. The render effect is a little overpowering, especially around the face area. The filter or effect you used did kind of take the image quality down and you can really notice it on the player and jersey. Overall, it's great to see you practicing, and improving. Some really nice stuff, hopefully some of the things I pointed out might help! 7/10
