Hard Markinson Junior Review Hard Markinson left the USA National Development Team and declared for the VHL in S76. He was deemed to be a Season 78 draftee, and right off the bat was considered a high-end prospect in his draft class. Markinson would declare his draft availability after the VHL S76 Trade Deadline, making him eligible to sign with a VHLM team before playoffs, and be eligible to play in the VHLM Playoffs before his VHLM Draft Year. Markinson joined the Mexico City Kings. Mexico City Kings Hard spent 13 regular season games with the Mexico City Kings. This was an adjustment period for the physical defenseman as he only tallied 4 points during that period, only sporadically getting ice-time as a youngster on the competing team. Markinson made it public that he and his player agent spent a lot of time watching video, and analyzing the roster to determine the best fit and the best chance at the Founder’s Cup. When Markinson decided to sign with Mexico City he knew that he would get moderate ice-time, but when he was on the ice he would be able to show off his game, really contribute to the team’s overall success, and get some good reps in the VHLM before his first official season Markinson looked solid with the Kings, as they entered the playoffs. They were a top three team in the league, but the Houston Bulls looked to be a very intimidating opponent as they steam-rolled the league during the regular season. Markinson proved his worth with the Kings as he earned more ice-time as he brought a level of toughness to the team that they had been lacking in the regular season. Markinson was able to only get 2 points in his playoff run with Mexico City but he was able to tally 41 hits during their 15 game run to the Cup. What was obviously the highlight of his first taste of the VHLM, and likely the highlight of his early career was the Founder’s Cup win with the Mexico City Kings. It improved his confidence, showed him what it felt like to win, and really boosted his draft stock for the VHLM Draft that would take place only months after hoisting the cup. Mississauga Hounds In the S77 VHLM Draft the Mississauga Hounds would select Hard Markinson with the 4th overall pick. Markinson was thrilled to be selected that high, as the management team in Mississauga really believed in him. The pick after that they selected Joe Madison, who would end up being Hard Markinson’s defense partner for the duration of the year. Madison, a returning player who was already drafted 14th overall by the Calgary Wranglers, was a talented puck-moving defenseman who would join the rush, but was lacking the physical presence. Markinson would prove that he paired well with that type of player, as the two gelled perfectly. Mississauga would end the season with an incredible 62-10 record and 124 points. This would be a historic finish as they entered the playoffs as the number one seed and unanimous favorites to win the championship. Markinson ended the season with 63 points, 23 coming from goals, and 198 hits for the year. Unfortunately after winning two playoff series in definitive fashion, the Hounds were swept in the finals by the Miami Marauders. Markinson would finish as a point per game in the playoffs, and tallied 57 hits in the 15 games played. While the Hounds were unable to win the championship, Markinson’s first full season showed incredible development. He became a household name and a primary target for VHL Scouts. As the draft nearly approaches, we expect Hard Markinson’s name to be called early in the night this Thursday.

Hard Markinson Reviews Draft Destinations The draft is quickly approaching and Hard Markinson is shifting his attention from the VHLM to the VHL. The Mississauga Hounds season came to an end as they were swept in the Founder's Cup Finals by the Miami Marauders. Markinson did pick up a championship last season with Mexico City, but was hoping to win back-to-back before being drafted into the VHL. There has been a reported four teams that have contacted Hard leading up to the Draft. Two teams are outside the top five draft picks and two are inside the top five. The general consensus is that Markinson will likely go early in the draft, but the potential to be a locked-in top five pick. So with that being said I'm going to review the five destinations that Markinson can land on Thursday night. 1. Calgary Wranglers - @Ricer13 Calgary will be, as long as there are no trades, selecting first in the upcoming draft, as they won the Draft Lotto and gained the first overall pick. They are an up-and-coming team that I believe not only would be a good fit for Markinson, but would make a lot of sense as they get a franchise defenseman to build their team around. However, there are heavy ties with Calgary Management and the Patrik Tallinder Player Agency, so the obvious choice they would be making is Nils at 1st overall; a very well-rounded centerman who has loads of upside and very little risk. Had Calgary not won the lottery, Markinson might have been their man. While I have fond memories joining Calgary as an attempt to make a superteam with Draper, Higgins, Kendrick, and eagles, I don't think I'll hear my name called by Wranglers GM KRice this Thursday. 2/3. Moscow Menace - @Spartan How fitting would it be, for once again an STZ player to land on 2nd Overall. Rhett DeGrath, Unassisted, Benny Graves, and now possibly Hard Markinson could land on the #2 pick. Damn, that would be a great trivia question.. (@Victorcan I have uncapped TPE for that?).. I could see Markinson landing here as it makes sense for a depth chart fit, after Moscow had an incredible draft last season landing Duncan Idaho and Paul Atreides. This would add yet another high-potential prospect to their already stacked team. We could see Moscow once again rising to the top of the league as a dominant dynasty. 4. London United - @McWolf This would be the #4 pick as Moscow has both 2 and 3. This would be an interesting fit as London is a competing team who gain this pick from Riga. It would be a very interesting fit, and Markinson could fit into a 2nd pairing spot on a playoff contender. If Markinson drops to #4 I think it would be bittersweet landing on a team ready to make another run. 5. Davos Dynamo HC - @GustavMattias Not sure if this is a fit, as they just landed their star defenseman last season in Reinhart. They are likely looking to add to their future around Taro up front. However, if Markinson was available at the five pick, I'm sure Davos would either take the physical defender or trade the pick off. Other Teams I've always been a member that is loyal to a team when they show that they A. want my player, and B. has good intentions for my player and the team as a whole. With that being said, if a team was to trade up and land a pick to take Markinson, I would be super happy and be committed to that team. I definitely can't see that happening as the two teams outside the top five that reached out to me, aren't in the market to sell the farm. However, if it happen, it would be a pretty cool thing to see.

Off-season/Pre-Draft Presser 1. Keep the grind going. The draft is in a few days, so I'm preparing for that, just waiting to see what team makes their move and steps up and selects me. 2. Markinson does dress up, but too old for TaT lol. Yes to candy. 3. Take it one day at a time, and breathing exercises is how Markinson maintains mental health. 4. Likely something where size matters, like stocking high shelves.. 5. I'll answer this as S78, as it's an old presser. I think the league has done a great job in the live sims and engaging people. I think last season's off-season was brutally long, so I hope they can condense for this season! 6. Medium Rare, I love Prime Rib.

This is awesome @animal74! Congrats to all the winners, well deserved. You guys overachieved this year. It’s been fun watching this team develop the way it has!

Review: I'm actually into this. I like the text with the stroke bubble that blends into the render. The texture on the text is cool too. I like the rose in the background. I think some render effects on the face would make it pop better. The render’s left hand looks a little weird I probably would have used something to cover it or even blurring would have worked. Overall pretty cool work! 9/10

The inconsistency of the thickness of the red parts is bothering the hell out of me..

God damn... I always fuck up spelling lol. I’ll fix tonight!

What do you mean uploaded as a bigger size?

Couple things as this was already reviewed.. Is it an optical illusion or does the Hounds Text from the logo blend into the stick? lol. I really love the textwork. I think the only thing I'm not a fan of is the stroke on the right hand side of the head. I think it just makes the peice look a little busy.

Review: This is very strong. I don't know if I really looked at your work before but this is nice. Text is solid, stands out, very nice effects. The textures are cool and the sig border is also clean. I like the render stroke, but more work into making the render pop a bit more could be something to work on. I like the coloring and logo swap is seemless. Very nice work, one of the better sigs of the week! 9/10

1. Keep the pace, don't stop working. I think we are all set and ready for the next round as we eye up our opponent Halifax. 2. Hate to say it, but Peffery Jines has been playing very well in the VHL Playoffs currently. Why not take the hottest player in the league.. 3. It will be hard, only because I think our top line is ready to pop-off soon. Teams can only contain that line for so long. If their focus stays on the first line, then Pacheco should have a lot of opportunity to keep putting up points. 4. I think we will see a Warsaw/LA final, with Warsaw taking home the cup. 5. It's alright. I actually personally liked the old one. I don't think the logo was made with the intention of offending people, but we live in a world where you have to be very vanila and generic so you don't hurt feelings. 6. I think of Soup as something that can be heated up. Hot milk sounds horrible.

This is your best work, imo. -
Review: This is great. 100% you're my favorite graphic maker on here. This peice this gets better the more I look at it. The helmet change is stunning and really makes this graphic special. I love the mirror effect and the circular theme you went with. I like the duplicates that give the shutter effect as well. I think the text is really nice, but seems like a safe space for you, and a style you have perfected but lean on. The blending is really nice between the two main mask cuts. I think the part below the text is better than the top, but still nice. Great work man, I look forward to your stuff! 10/10
